I turned in tax documents right before tax cut day!I personally made a trip to drop of my documents. Weeks and weeks went by with no response to calls and emails. Spoke to a gentleman he proceeded to explain they where on vacation and he’d get back to me promptly. Never received a call. Not sure what’s going on… I’ve done my taxes here for a couple of years now no issue. Will never file again with this establishment.

It took me a while to leave this review as I have been trying to give grace due to the current economic situation. However, I am very upset and disappointed with the way that me and my husbands taxes have been handled this year. I dropped off documentation at the end of February and our taxes are still not completed. I have reached out to Melissa several times within the last few months only to be told they are being worked on and she will call me within 2-3 business days. I am yet to receive a call telling me my taxes are done. That is not the icing on the cake! The day before the tax cutoff I spoke to someone at Melissas office and was told she filed an extension to get them completed. Today I spoke with the IRS and was told there is nothing on my account that reflects an extension was requested and approved. I am completely disgusted with the lack of communication and transparency with our personal information. Not only has she closed down her office but the number goes straight to voicemail. I never received any communication from her or her team that the office was being closed. This is absolutely unacceptable!

I dropped off my taxes in April 2021 for them to filed. Still haven’t got any of my families refund yet. Try calling them numerous times no luck. Got a hold of 1 guy always the same guy he always gives me the runaround. I requested copies of my tax information and W2 back, the last time I heard of that was when I called for the 10th time he was going to email me my information still haven’t got nothing back. And got no refunds back yet. I have been coming to them all these years I will no longer do business again with Centra Tax again. Poor customer service and they don’t want to answer or help during this hard times they just want your money. And they over charge on there filings too. If I had a choice I wouldn’t even give them any stars. Till this day I am still very frustrated, upset, can’t get a hold of nobody, and still no refund yet.

I’m definitely a client. I’ve been a client for the past 5 years!!! I dropped my taxes off in March it’s now July and you have not once contacted me to let me know when my taxes will be processed. But you have the nerve responding to a google review, this has got to be a joke. I’ve left numerous messages with a gentleman at your business just needed for someone to tell me when I can expect my taxes to be processed . He assured me I should be hearing something soon. All I’ve heard was “CRICKETS”. You have all our paperwork and it’s now July. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable.

I’m Very Very disappointed & dissatisfied with the service from Centra Tax. I’ve been a customer of Centra Tax for over 5 years and never been treated like this. Not sure what’s going on with Melissa but she never returns any calls. I did my taxes earlier this year. I checked the IRS portal and it stated that my refund was deposited into my account February 23, 2021. My refund was never deposited into my account! After further investigation I found out that my refund was deposited into an account for Centra Tax! I’ve written letters to Melissa and left several messages. She never responds!!!! I guess the next step is to file a complaint against Centra Tax with the IRS and take her to Small Claims Court.

Hello Friend and neighbors who file Tax with Centra Tax. Does anyone know where there office is located I call them , they dont answer phone and voicemail box is always full, email no responses .I dropped off my form since second week of February 2021 untill now I didnt have my tax return yet.these people are not professional.pls dont do any business with them

I’m reading all of the reviews and have the same issue. Dropped off my taxes back in March and still haven’t heard from them. We spoke to a gentleman right before the last day to file and he stated they have an extension with the IRS and my taxes would be done in the next couple of days. He said they would call my wife and I to go over everything….. Crickets!!I wish there was away to report them. This is unprofessional and down right ridiculous!!

I have been going to them for the past couple of years to do my taxes. They were always professional and nice and efficient!! This year around is not the same. What im getting this year is unacceptable customer service, no answers and left to wait. I have tried numerous times to get in touch with someone else in the office that can answer my questions. And get my business done.

My parents have been attempting to get in touch with this business since dropping off their paperwork in Feb. Their calls arent being returned and no response to their e-mails. This situation has been VERY frustrating for them. Theyve contacted the IRS and our next step is to contact the BBB as well as the local news stations. This situation is totally UNACCEPTBLE seeing that this has happened to many others.

Ive used Centra tax several times to do my taxes. I was referred to them by friends and was excited because they’re a black owned company. They’ve always been very professional, prompt & responsive. But this year, not so much. I’ve called several times and their voicemail is full, sent several emails and to no avail, no response. I can understand being busy during tax season and being under staffed due to Covid, but not replying at all is unacceptable. It makes a person feel uneasy knowing you’ve given all your personal information and can’t get any answers. The right thing to do is to let your customers know UP FRONT that you’re short staff and that your response time is longer than usual. Hopefully things will be better in the future because if not, this is definitely an easy way to loose clientele.

I will never remind this company. They tell black people to to patronize all black business owner this is a lousy company I do not recommend this company to nobody do not I repeat do not go here. Had to give it a rating it wouldnt allow me to post unless otherwise. Please dont go a shady company

One of the worst places I’ve ever been to.I dropped taxes off in April they never did them and had to file an extension said they were doing them and then we had to demand them to give us our papers back so we can go have someone else do them and then they became very vulgar an angry because we were taking her business somewhere else

Very unprofessional! Been awaiting a return for almost a year! They will share your information without consent and do not communicate well at all! All they do is give you the run around a! The IRS received a return in April but centratax has yet to call about my check. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Ive been dealing with them for years but this year has been very terrible and unacceptable no one return your calls no one responds to your emails I finally spoke with someone and ask what time do they open and I told them I was coming to pick up my w2 after driving for a hour I get there to find out no one is in office I feel like Im being held hostage by them I keep getting the run around I was told my taxes were done and I would receive a call regarding my refund amount and no one has called since Im really frustrated and want to take my business elsewhere but cant because they have all my documents and cant seem to get them back

Ive been a customer here for over 5yrs and would recommend their services. They are very thorough and Ive never had any problems with their preparations. During the season they can get extremely busy so have patience and even try going on off hours. Either way they work very hard to accommodate everyones needs in a timely manner. This year I got everything in early and service was extremely fast.

I loved this place. I have been doing my taxes here since they venture off from Rapid Tax(Melissa, Sammy, Calvin)these are the three that made this company great. However my new look isnt a great look. Although I know they dont have anything to do with the Stimulus Checks mix up. Im still very disappointed on how they(CENTRA TAX) handle it. After watching the news(WSOC-9) in Charlotte NC) and learning some of the Tax offices stepped in and let the direct deposits be submitted from the account it was deposited in. Due to hard times. It now makes me wonder do this company really care about their customers as they say. In a time when we needed them the most they pushed us right back to the IRS, the ones they claim they have our backs on. People including myself needed this money for Rent, bills, car payment etc. But most important of all our families and sanity to go on worry free of bills during COVID-19. To Centra Tax I really hope it was worth it you just lost a client that really thought YOU ALL cared. NOT I see its was all bout MONEY.

I do not recommend anyone going here. The lady Phyllis told me she would not charge me anything and turn around charged me. I talked to the manager last Saturday and I was supposed to get a refund TUESDAY and still have not heard anything back from them .. I left messages, sent an email, and even went up to the business and no one was there.

Valerie was incredibly helpful in filing our tax returns as new customers! She took the time to get to know us and find the best options for our return. Everyone in the office was incredibly friendly and helpful as well! Pricing was also a plus!

New client to Central Tax and new to Charlotte. I was nervous because had bad experience last year with other tax service. Valerie Woods prepared my return but still havent gotten anything back. And the lady Phyllis is not friendly at all. Dont think I will go back. Still waiting on my return after filing on 31st of January. Most of their reviews are family, staff and friends.

Plus they say they open at 9 and 4 people were waiting at the door into 10:30 and NOTHING ! do not go here !
