Attorney that was provided for me had little knowledge or drive for my case. She closed my case before I even had a chance to ask questions. A complete waste of my time.

These people are completely unprofessional uncompassionate and unbothered by any service that needs to be done for the public their choice of excuse is that they are understaffed and very busy at the moment which is a understandable thing but what do you do when you have the chance besides socializing at work all day these people should be fired and replaced

Incredibly experienced andtalented attorneys who have the clients best interests at heart. Legal Aide of NCs Compassionate and professional staff are an outstanding resource in times of need.

My experience with them is horrible I do not recommend them at all. They abandoned me at the time that I needed them the most. I had court on August 28 a DVPO lawyer contact me and she sounded very promising and willing to help me. A day or two before my court date she stopped taking my phone calls and advised me that she could not represent me. She referred me to a custody attorney stating that she will contact me. My case got continued and was set for September 2. I did not hear anything back from anyone from the organization. The day of my court date the custody attorney contact me and advise me that she could not represent me. didn’t give me a reason why or anything . So yet again I had to go to court to represent myself. Poor service unprofessional non-responsive organization. They are not trustworthy. Not only did I got stood up from both attorneys but the time that I have spent invested in them. No one showed up for my defense. Sad but this statement is very much true. My advice to all that is looking for representation don’t put your hopes up for this organization if you can pay for your own attorney do so.

I actually called legal aid about 3:45pm and held on til 4:55 pm for a automatic voice to say, call volume is too high please try back later.😳 really...

The worst service I have ever received by the clerk answering the telephone, Ellen H. in 2020. For someone who’s worked in public service for the government for 20+ years helping clients, I cannot understand how now that I need help, someone would treat a person this way. She would not give me answers to why they would not even “investigate” my case even though I have tried three times to get disability income. She gave me 3 different excuses that made no sense. One, “they don’t have time“; even though they did an hour and a half intake. Number two, “they are not taking any disability claims right now“, in which she should’ve told me before we did the intake, number three, she said, “I don’t know why”. So sad.

Great resource it seems like for evictions and certain matters. Anything other inquires they tell you they cant help you with , but great people work there willing to help. I gave it four stars because they seem to not answer the phone.

I sought assistance in a land Lord tenant matter, after 2 weeks a paralegal called advising me they were a post convictions law firm the paralegal sent my case back to leagal aid ,legal aid said i would hear from a new firm in a weekIts now been 3 weeks not one call .Government funds at the maximum waste.- 5 stars, and i dont trust they could litigate a traffic ticket

I really dont like being negative. But I worked for this same government for 16 years. I thought I had seen it all!My ethics says they need more! A lack of communication became a refusal to communicate from this organization.You cant serve your community if you cant do your due diligence by Community and customers service. But those are things, that you would expect to be given to you but are apparently not given back from this organization to the constituents of the community they serve.A lack of communication leave unanswered question!Which leads to customer frustration!Business 101Even when you have the choice to pick and choose who you want to serve communication is key to the others that have come before you!

Went here for help with a housing issue, I received the help of Chad crockford(CROCK is right)! He promised to help with an issue and he bailed on me and my family, he fought hard for the landlord even though he was representing the tenants.I have called him several times and have yet to receive a response since before Christmas, if you can please PLEASE go somewhere else.
