I booked Tara to create my birthday hairstyle and let me say she did NOT disappoint!! I Absolutely LOVE my hair. The salon and service exceeded my expectations! I am very tender headed and her Assistant who braided me, made the process as painless as possible. The quality of her extensions is AAA rating. During my install she educated me how to care for my hair at home until my next appointment. Im a Very pleased and highly recommend her Salon.

This review is not intended to state anything negative about the stylist or service quality, but is meant to provide insight to future new customers regarding the pricing structure. My experience with Tara was overall good, the only complaints I had were that she arrived late for the appointment due to an oversight in the scheduled time which she did apologize for and offered a slight discount towards a future visit. There were also a few interruptions during the service, which were not ideal given that I ended up needing to take the entire day off of work for this appointment and would like to have gained some of this time back. It is important to note that a clients time is just as valuable as a stylists and this should be kept in mind for compensation when issues arise (ie. if a stylist can charge a cancellation or late fee, a client should receive credit for a late stylist/service interruption on the DAY OF service as opposed to on a future service)I recently moved to Charlotte from Houston and was in need of a new stylist. I am new to extensions, but had previously visited a top salon in Houston that specialized in microlinks that at the time seemed costly, but after receiving services with Tara I am realizing that my old salon had a much more realistic pricing structure. This is especially ironic with Houston being a higher demand market for this service and a major city vs Charlotte where demand is much lower. For context, I paid 62% of what I paid at Royalty at my previous location for installation AND hair plus a protein treatment, and trust me when I say this was a highly reputable salon with top quality work.When I sat for my initial consult at Royalty, I was not fully versed on the pricing structure for this particular service (we had discussed 3 different options, but I was not given an estimation of how many rows I might require since I had only ever paid flat rate for a whole head). Taras flat rate is inclusive of only 5 rows which seems unrealistically low for the very high price of $375 (Does anyone ever only require 5 rows?). There is $50 charged per additional row, and I ended up receiving an extra 7 rows which cost $250 in addition to the base $375, plus an additional take down charge to remove my previous installation (this rate was more reasonable but still higher than other salons in the area).My total service cost was $800 and I was completely shocked after not having had a full understanding of how many rows I would require up front since every stylist installs differently. In my opinion, given that I provided my own hair for the service rather than purchasing directly from Tara, this cost was astronomically high (this is the better portion of a months rent). I did express concern to Tara via text and was offered an explanation of the cost breakdown, but am still left feeling misinformed about the cost expectation on the front end during my consult (I should have received a row count and an accurate total cost estimate). Tara does awesome work and deserves adequate compensation, however $800 for extension installation WITH client provided hair is frankly mind-blowing. I only wish I had known this information upfront in order to have made a more informed decision, but wanted to put this out for anyone considering microlink extension service as you will definitely want to shop for comparison. My hair turned out great, but pricing is WAY too high for this service!

She knows what she is doing and provides top notch hair care for her clients. Ive watched her provide the most professional advice to clients and Ive seen her faithful clients hair grow as they continuously trust T Nicole to do their hair. Amazing service. My natural hair was washed, treated, and trimmed before my frontal application. Braids were not tight but well secured. Overall A+ experience. Book now she is in high demand. T. Nicole (owner) was my stylist.

Ive been a customer of TNicole for over 5 years. I have worn sew ins for years, but was always was scared to try things like closures because I hate the wiggy look. However, not only has she gotten me comfortable with closures, but I am hooked on frontals AND wigs! The quality of her hair is amazing and people will probably never be able to see my real hair again. :)

I’ve been going to this shop since I moved to Charlotte in 2017 and in the beginning they were great. Now their professionalism is lacking and their organization sucks. I use to have Tnicole doing my hair then switched to Jade which was the wrong thing to do. Today I went in to have my hair done and after I drove almost 40 mins to get to the damn shop I walk in just for Tnicole to say “Jade is sick she’s been calling you, but i’ll call and let you know when she can do your hair.” *PAUSE* I’ve had this appointment booked since last year and you’re trying to tell me that the stylist that is supposed to be doing my hair is sick....ok cool BUT don’t lie about it because Jade and I have messaged through instagram and if she couldn’t reach me through phone then she should have messaged me through insta, so I KNOW she didn’t try calling me. I mean ANY stylist with common sense would know that this weekend is vital and the upmost professionalism is required and any stylist that wants to run a thriving business should know to have more professionalism then what I have encountered today smh. NEVER AGAIN.

You will feel like a brand new woman when you leave the salon. Dont be fooled by any negative comments. I moved to Charlotte about two months ago and after hunting for a stylist, I found Mrs. T.Nicole. She is in a wonderful location and I love the design of her salon. I have paid many other stylish in various states for sew-ins and I have never ever ever ever had a sew in with a frontal as flawless as T.Nicoles work. I bought a wig a few months go & my stylist Drea was more concerned about rescheduling me at a later date & meeting up with her boyfriend. I scheduled an appointment online & called to verify the appointment prior to arriving. There was honestly no excuse as to why my appointment was scheduled for 1PM & I wasnt seen until right before closing. On top of the fact I was waiting almost 5 hours for a wig.. she also rushed through my services which I paid over 1000$ for to meet up with her man. I had very high hopes for Royalty Beauty bar & I was bragging to all my people in NYC about how Im going get this dope as wig from this local place thats black owned & I was highly disappointed in my services. The wig itself is the bomb & the hair is great, but I had to pay additional money for another hair stylist to customize it for me. This was supposed to be my 25th birthday gift to myself & it was ruined. 2 Stars

No exxageration.....I was totally nervous about trying a frontal and unit but let me tell you Tara will do the best job ever! Im not a social media poster or blogger but i promise you I have never ever been as pleased as I was when I left the salon on Black Friday! Im so thankful that she and her assistant Que were truly awesome to me!!!! From the first step inside the shop they were friendly welcoming and very professional!!!! The fact that every time I seat in Tara chair she never disappoints me is an amazing experience honestlyyy truelyyy!!! I have been coming to Tara for years now and the quality of her hair is outstanding. I have had wigs she has made for me (for two years) and its still holding up very well because of the wonderful quality bundles she provides. As well as her slaying my sew-ins and frontals or closures. Her customer service makes u feel so welcome and comfortable to be yourself and not ashamed of any hair issues you may have. When i say I was just as nervous as some of you maybe by taking the steps to purchase hair I was so scared!! Cause I didnt want to be wasting my time or money on bad hair. I came across Tara and never looked back she explained to me everything I needed to know about buying quality hair and how to take care of it basically the professionalism was amazing and for me that goes a long way. So I took a chance on faith and have never look for another stylist again. Hopefully you will take the chance that I took and get SLAYED by T.NICOLE it is a true experience and the hair quality is honestlyyy .... truelyyy... Amazing you pay for what u get and with her your getting grade A hair no shading or tangling. Extremely overpriced!! Lace frontals purchased from there shed like crazy (not good quality hair at all) after about a month and a half. Internet pictures can be very deceiving, lesson learned.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I PAID ALMOST $1000 FOR THE TRASHIEST HAIR I HAVE EVER HAD PUT IN MY HEAD (AND I CHANGE STYLES QUITE FREQUENTLY). THE HAIR WAS A WET AND WAVY TYPE BUT IT MATTED WHEN IT DRIED AND EVEN WORSE IT SHED LIKE A MANGY DOG. THE HAIR WAS 26 A LITTLE LESS THAN A MONTH LATER IT WAS MORE LIKE 14 AND MY GOD THE FRONTAL STARTED BALDING. I ASKED SEVERAL TIMES FOR HER TO FIX IT AND AFTER A WHILE SHE STARTED BLAMING ME FOR THE HAIR MESSING UP THE WAY IT DID. INSTEAD OF TAKING OWNERSHIP OF THE HAIR BEING TRASH. SHELL BLOCK YOU AND DELETE YOUR COMMENT IF YOU SAY SOMETHING NEGATIVE, BUT TARA IS A SCAMMER. YOU SEE THE RIGHT AFTER, BUT CHECK SOME OF HER CLIENTS LATER DOWN THE LINE IF YOU CAN. WORST MISTAKE EVER, ITS UNFORTUNATE YOU HAVE TO GIVE THIS PLACE A STAR BECAUSE IT ISNT WORTH IT.
