I have been a customer at various Bignons locations for years. My experience as a customer has ranged from horrific to relatively decent which is how I’ve justified returning. However, after my last experience I will not be returning. If you are contemplating supportining this business, I do not recommend you do so.The stylist here are inconsistent. Some of them care about the health of your hair and ensuring you have neat extensions whereas others do not.Pictured is a touch up I received on the 20th of July. When I arrived, they advised they did not have 1B colored hair but did have a mixture of 2 and 1 colored hair. Why would I want the perimeter of my hair a different color than the rest of my hair? To help remedy the situation, I went and purchased 1B hair from a local supply store. I was still charged full price for the style despite being forced to provide my own hair. Not even a $5 discount was offered.As you can see, the braids were not trimmed or braided to the end. They are also all different lengths with pieces of hair hanging off the ends. This three row touch up took 5 hours as the original stylist had to leave due to an “emergency.” The new stylist did her best to accommodate despite having her own appointments. Although I appreciate her efforts, the outcome is horrible.There are several other black owned hair salons in the Charlotte area that you should spend your money with.

Excellent experience, extremely professional, staff, lovely clean salon that adheres to COVID-19 protocol and procedures to not only keep customers safe but the stylist/braiders as well.

Kristy was very professional. My tree braides are very neat and they provide the hair for a decent price and not trying to break your pockets. I love ❤️ my hair and I have received so many compliments. Kristy braiding is all that and some hands down no one have her when I come to tree brain and neatness.

I normally have great experience with my hair. I had an appointment over a month ago and the person that was suppose to do my hair was occupied with someone else. So I was given to another lady. When it was suppose to take 6 hours it took Over 10 hours. I had to leave and go get my grandson from daycare which was not far from the location and come back. My hair wasn’t tight at all. So with that being said my braids in the back started falling out in 2 weeks or less. My kinky twist normally last me a few months and my hair looks like I’ve had them in for about 3-4 months and it’s only been 1.5 months. If the original lady couldn’t do my hair I wish the had contacted me ahead of time to reschedule. I made that appointment like a week or more ahead of time. I went in to make sure that it was able to be done. The lady that was suppose to do it was the one that said she can do the back of my head because it was short. But I know I wouldn’t want the same lady who did it to do it again. She did more talking than anything. Maybe that’s why it took longer than the 6 hours.
