I needed a last minute Commercial van to assist with Projects at work & trade show pieces. Found a GREAT deal that led me to Hertz and a great value for a whole week rental. (Only hiccup was... the original pickup location did NOT have a Van that size.... But the Guys made a quick phone call to another location.. and they had what I needed! Easy to get to, plenty of parking, and ready to go in around 15min. I really enjoyed the service and speed!!! Its been awhile since using Hertz, but now Im considering to always check with them first. Van is running smoothly and happy to have that cargo space for equipment. Go Hertz!!!

Staff was friendly and courteous, but several problems arose. Vehicle was in poor mechanical condition, had to switch it which caused an hour 1/2 delay.

Some people just cant be pleased!! I have been dealing with Hertz on North Tryon for well over 2 years and each and every visit the staff has bent over backwards to accommodate me and make sure my needs are met. I would urge you to use Hertz rentals on North tryon for your rental needs and try it for yourself, dont take some of these miserable peoples reviews to heart!!

Avoid this location and Ryan (the manager of this location) AT ALL COSTS. Buyer beware. I had to wait over 30 days for a $400 refund. I only received my refund after going all the way up the ladder to the actual General Manager & also reaching out to hertz Twitter. Let’s just say, don’t waste your time here. Go to a different location or enterprise. Ryan needs to be fired immediately, according to the terrible reviews he’s racked up.

Im giving Ryan and Larry 5 stars because of their effort and speed they get things done. They take care of the people that are at the place first and then when they have satisfied the customers they then take care of the folks on the phone. These guys are understaffed and I know they must be frustrated at times. Please treat them nice, they have a rough situation.

We’re already off to a bad start. My husband was told yesterday 9/1 that his hertz reservation was for today. We worked all day so my husband and son were running behind trying to make it by 5. My husband started calling the location around 4:30 to let them know he was on the way. But he got no answer. When they finally arrived it was right at 5pm. When my husband walked in the door he was met by a male that told him they were closed. My husband explained that he had been trying to call for the last 30 minutes and no one picked up and if there was anything he could possibly do. The gentleman told him he had just clocked out. I understand that they were nearing closing time. But the “hate it for you attitude” is not cool. And why didn’t someone answer the phone? That could have saved us a trip and gas if nothing could’ve been done. Guess we’re going to try this again tomorrow. I hope at the next interaction some empathy could be shown.

I wish it was possible to rate this place NEGATIVE 5 STARS. Do yourself a favor and do not rent a car from the Hertz at 5010 N. Tryon St. Charlotte NC 28213. We reserved 2 vans for a family trip and confirmed the reservations with this locating weeks in advance. The day we were scheduled to pick up the vans we called before leaving home only to find out they did not have ANY vans. They knew this for weeks and never contacted us to inform us and had we not called before leaving home we would not have found out until we got there. The manager claimed he located 2 big SUVs and would have them ready for pick up by 4:00pm. We get there well before 4pm and the manager were no where to be found. We literally waited till 5pm and that is when the manager finally decided to show up, mind you they close at 6pm. The associate that was there, James M., was extremely rude, disrespectful and refused to call the manager for us while we were waiting and refused to provide us with the corporate phone number. He was typing and clicking on the computer while we were trying to speak to him and answered his cell phone in the middle of our conversation. When the manager did show up at 5pm the 2 SUVs were small, filthy and had dents all over! On top of this we found out from the manager himself that they knew they did not have the vans we needed when we made the reservation weeks ago and they proceeded to charge our card anyway! He told us himself the 2 vans they have had been across the street in the shop for weeks. So why were we not told this when they received our reservations and when we called weeks prior to confirm. They waited till the day of to tell us and only told us because we called before going there. The manager did not offer any type of apology and made excuses for his employee’s poor customer service and even he himself was rude and took no accountability for THEIR mistake. He only apologized after we told him several times that he hasn’t even offered us any type of apology. The first thing out of his mouth should have been an apology as this was an error on there part and we made him aware of his employees behavior. He also tried to avoid refunding our money by offering us $75 off and trying to push the 2 tiny and filthy SUVs on us. Even if he had offered 75% off we would absolute not have taken any cars from them at that point. After going in circles with him, he finally agreed to provide a refund but wouldn’t provide any proof or confirmation that the charges had been voided. We spent even more time demanding a receipt of the voided transaction. We spent so much time there if was well after 6pm before we left. By this time all other rental car lots were closed and we had no choice but to drive 25 minutes to the airport in hopes that we would be able to rent what we needed for our trip early the next morning. I know this was a lengthy comment but I do not want any other person or family going through the ordeal we went through at this terrible place. They were rude to my mother in law who was there to pick up one of the vans, rude to my spouse and to myself. Literally the worst customer service experience ever.And the manager provided me with a phone number that was supposedly the corporate number...it was a customer service number. No worries, I got the phone number for the General Manager and will be calling him first thing Monday morning.

I was pretty surprised to see the negative reviews. This was our third car rental that we had gone to after already reserving a car at another place and being refused service. The staff was professional and helpful they got us our car right away we were in and out. I had extended the car for an extra day with no problems.

Stay AWAY FROM HERTZ. Our Car wasnt ready when we came to pick it up. Had to wait 30 mins and was dirty in the outside. In the inside the car had a STRONG smoking odor... The Hertz Store, looked like a prison.

Good Morning, My name is Teresa Me and My husband was in a wreck Nov 5th State farm highly recommended Hertz and said this is who we do business with. We picked the Hertz on 5010 N. Tryon St. Charlotte NC 28213. We had one body shop we was working with but had too switch to another body shop. Which made us keep the car longer on the day we suppose to turn the car in The manager called my husband talked with him explaining everything that happened that the claim is still opened and we needed to extend the rental and we would have State farm reach out to them on Dec the 10th the car was turned in and Ryan Marshall Manager said that My husband owed 94.00 in all. He told him that state farm was going to pay it but if they dont I will pay it to keep my Credit good.It seems like Dec 10 until now is a long time but how many People know how insurance companies are they take they own time. Lord and behold Guess who takes my husband Card information from the file and takes 394.00 dollars on Christmas day saying to Me its Christmas and i am going to hit you where it hurts you probably spent all this money on presents so since it took so long I am going to hit you with Hertz present if you told my husband 94.00 dollars Why did you take 394.00. We Called State farm the next day The representative told my husband and sent an email Dec 26th confirming the bill was paid and all my husband owed was the 94.00 and she asked him again Do YOU KNOW WHY HE TOOK SO MUCH ????? My husband said No I am going to call him and tell him just but the money back on his card after several attempts Hertz was not answering Ryan Marshall. We called State farm again Dec 27th went through same formality she said the bill has been Paid. She said Mr. Drummond we are sending you a check out today and we are so sorry that happened but i will also reach out to them also. I give this company a 0 if you give them a Credit card they will not only take what is owe but more i advise everyone to stay away from Hertz. Mr. Marshall i like you too know we dont live from pay check to pay check. And I do keep a eye on our account I think that was real dirty what you did. then my husband called for you to put the money back no answer no return or anything.Please do not NOT USE COMPANY HERTZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in order to Post this review i had too select a star rating this is my rating 00000
