Always smiling and the energy in the shop is always welcoming. He always makes sure to communicate with me about the kids haircuts to a T. James is the first barber in Charlotte that cut my boys hair right. Always makes time for them and Im usually last minute. He doesnt make a big deal about it and theyre always happy when hes finished. He always ask me how Id like their hair and is very descriptive when asking. First chair to the left.

Leaving one star only because I was here between 7:55 and 8:15 and no one was there despite opening at 8. Ill change my rating if I get back here again.

I had James McDonald as my barber. The rates are $25 for the haircut in the store and i have been there always paying 25+ tip for the barber. But, when I requested JAMES to tell me how much is it, he told me it was $35. Initially, i thought due to covid the rates went up, but after I venmod him, he did not tell me that the rate was still 25 and I paid him an extra 10 by mistake. Not a good experience. I will use sports clips from now on.

I Dont recommend, worst haircut I ever had. I could do same haircut with my beard trimmer for $0 instead they have charged me $25. This Guy cant be called as hari stylist.

I was recommended by my Sister...I needed a hair cut for my girlfriend’s graduation. No one has been able to achieve the haircut I have been wanting for the past four or five haircuts. Not until I walked into this place and Ronnie was getting up and my Sis said “there he is”. I’m VERY particular about my hair and he took his time with me as I showed him the shading I wanting all around and how low to go up top! Ronnie is the first person in two years or more to cut my hair just as I wanted it! Although I live in SC, I’m in Charlotte one week out the month and he will be my new barber from now own!! Very polite, professional, took his time and I was and still am satisfied with my haircut. A week later I am still getting compliments on my haircut, now that’s a Master Barber!! Thank you Five Star and thank you Ronnie!!

These guys are wonderful. He did a straight-up job with my sons military cut . Looked great! Everything is always clean love the way he has the TVs set up so they can watch.

Let me just tell you! So I got both of my kids hair cut at a different place and they screwed my kids hair up so bad I thought it couldnt be fixed. Well I brought them here and James fixed it and did the cleanest cut my son has ever had. Then I walked through the back to the salon and Stephanie fixed my daughters hair with no problem. They were all so nice and it was over all a great experience! This will be our permanent place from now on!

Great detailed hair cuts. They are busy and have a lot of customers who make appointments, so if you just walk in you may have to wait. They listen to what you want and make it happen. Would recommend

The only place I go to get my haircut. Most people have one specific barber but here everyone are great and I can choose anyone, anyday, and the cut will look great every time

Five stars for a five star barbershop. I came here after not visiting a barber for years. I had been cutting own hair. A co-worker recommend the place to me. I was very surprised and satisfied with the attention to detail of the quirks of how my hair grows. I have a cowlick in the front I said nothing about that Chris did not overlook. He even lined my impossible to line hairline where it actually looks natural. I didnt expect much but I was very impressed with the results. Needless to say, I dont think Ill go another five years without seeing a barber.

Been coming for years to get my haircut. All barbers in there are cool guys and master barbers. Ronnie is my barber and really takes care of you and pays attention to details. He is really good at giving recommendations for products and best way to take care of your hair.

Got my hair cut by the owner cause my usual guy wasnt in the shop, I figured hes the owner he knows what hes doing. When I tell you Ive never had a worse hair cut in my life. He created his own hair line took my side burns all the way back damn near by my ears. Guess this a lesson for me never cheat on your barber even if its with the owner.

Waited over 40 minutes for a shave here, and didnt even get acknowledged. To top it off, the barber decided to see other people that came in after me even though I had been clearly sitting and waiting for him to get to me. Ended up walking out because they obviously didnt want my business.Customer service obviously isnt very important here. This place is a joke, Id recommend finding a better shop.

This is the most unprofessional barber shop ever the Barbers have no sense of Respect for others times and or money... you call the shop to make an appointment with a babrber and then the day of your appointment no one know about it the owner seems as if he is afraid to check his employees I guess because they pay can and can seek employment else where. Just ghetto, unorganized, and unprofessional I will never return here again and they will cancel an appointment without informing you until the last minute just tacky

Dang! The cut was on point! I’m new to the area and went to 4 different barber shops before arriving to this one and all I can say is wow! Pristine cut, it was worth every penny!

I have straight hair longer than 1 and Raheem cut me solid. He asked before cutting spots he wasnt sure how I wanted and made recommendations that I had not considered. I can recommend this establishment if you are not afraid to explain how you want your cut.

If you have straight hair longer than 1, you have no business being here. Someone may tell you with complete confidence that he can cut your hair. He cannot.

Hours listed online and on the shop window say 7AM. Waited for 35 minutes and no one showed up. Its inconsiderate of your customers to not abide to your listed buisness hours. Either hire people that can manage to wake up on time or change the hours to sometime that actually represents your availability.

After I first moved to Charlotte I needed a new barber shop, I have been coming here for the past year, great selection of barbers and clean welcoming environment.

Had an appt at 7am to get a cut b4 an event...I waited for 20 min but no one ever showed. I had to go elsewhere. Cool guy over the phone tho...he obviously just forgot
