DO NOT SEND YOUR CAR HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT SEND YOUR CAR HERE!I was rear ended on August 6th and immediately after the police report was released I received a call from Performance of Charlotte. They worked with my insurance company to get the car towed to their lot and even offered to waive my $500 deductible. Sounds great, right? Well thats when everything went left.I was told my car repairs would be completed in 21 days. It took SEVEN WEEKS. Now I understand that due to Covid shipping and supply chains are experiencing extreme delays especially in the automotive industry and I was very accommodating even with the constant setbacks. That was until I received my car last Monday and it BROKE DOWN 5 DAYS LATER WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON I-485 WITH MY ONE YEAR OLD. Anyone who has driven on 485 knows that most cars are driving 70 mph minimum. I had wait over an hour for AAA to tow my car to a local dealership. I called Performance of Charlotte multiple times but they are not open on the weekends and did not return my call until Monday - two days after the incident.For reference, my car is a 2020 Hyundai Tucson and had less 11K miles on it. I drove it less than 20 miles after it was released from their shop before it broke down on the highway.When I finally hear back from Performance of Charlotte, they tell me that they cannot provide a rental and that the dealership has to give me one. ITS NOT THE DEALERSHIPS RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX YOUR MISTAKE. I told them the dealership is out of loaners and her response to me was you need to be tougher with them. What?!? She then told me she would speak with the dealership to find out what went wrong with the car and get me a rental or loaner. This was at 10am yesterday. I have not heard back from them and they are not returning my calls.My business relies on me having a car to meet my clients. Their error not only put me and my family in danger on the highway but it is also costing my household money. I will never send my car back to Performance of Charlotte nor will I recommend for anyone else to use them.

Initially, they were very accommodating, assisting me with my insurance and helping me tow my car to the shop. After reviewing my car, they told me it would take about a week to fix the repairs. The following week, I called to receive an update and they stated it would take another week due to a missing part that was needed. The 2nd week I called and again, they told me it would take an additional week. At this point I was beginning to question why it was taking so long. I spoke with the owner and he mentioned they were short staffed. I expressed my concern regarding their lack of communication and suggested if the estimated time of completion needs to be extended, they should communicate to that customer. The owner reassured the car would be would be available the following week (on Wednesday), offering me incentives due to the delay. The week of, I call Tuesday and was told the car would be available Thursday, I called the Wednesday before, they told me end of day Friday. My car needed two repairs (including an alignment) and after seeking advice, I was told the repairs should have not taken 3 weeks to complete.Due to the lack of communication and the continuous extensions to complete the repairs on my car, my experience at Performance of Charlotte drops to 3/5 stars. Pros: The staff was very nice and tried their best to help. Cons: It took entirely too long for me to receive my car, affecting the time I had to keep my rental car, totaling to be $1,425.A recommendation for Performance of Charlotte, if you are unable to service cars in an efficient time, consider the amount of cars you intake for service OR communicate with the customer as much as you can to avoid frustration.

I have to say that they really did a good job ! At first I was a little nervous but Nancy and John’s customer service was outstanding they are real people and will take care of you at whatever cost !! They waived my $500 deductible and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and I’m tough at times but they really made it happen for me so 5 Stars all the way !!

My mother was driving my car when she got rear ended. Performance Auto Collision Center of Charlotte contacted me first and helped me by getting the ball rolling since the insurance companies were taking too long. They set up the tow services and then after they got my car it was ready to be picked up within a week or two. That’s faster than other places I’ve used. Then when I saw my car it looks brand new again! Amazing work!!! They had me come check out my car before I dropped off my rental to make sure it was to my standards first. The manager was nice to me and my kids. They were all nice. One of the best experiences I have had with a collision auto repair shop.

Nancy has outstanding customer service skills. Not having your car can be stressful. Anytime I called she was very thorough with information and very patient. Her being able to answer my many questions eased me a lot , I know I was getting on their nerves lol ! The process to fix my vehicle was a little long But my insurance had a big part on that. They also took half off my 500$ deductible.

I’m not happy with my experience. I hit a deer a couple weeks ago, had damage to my driver side. I got my car back today and it was not all the way fixed. My driver side headlight isn’t straight forward, it points more towards the right. It still has dents and chipped paint. My husband pointed it out to them when we got the car & they wouldn’t do anything else to it. I was all excited about getting my car back but I’m just disappointed that it isn’t fixed right. So I will not be using this place again.

I recommend shopping around, and outside of the insurance companys preferred locations, meet the people youll entrust your vehicle with, look at reviews and pictures, your instincts are usually correct! A repair is always going to be a repair and not a replacement, but youre entitled to the best repair quality and customer service experience available...Performance Auto gives you just that! Youll see many reviews that state the length of repair was more than expected, a lot of that has to do with scheduling an insurance adjuster out to your shop of choice...how does 4-5 extra days weigh in comparison to an issue free repair and impeccable customer service?! So many people think bigger is better, I challenge you to think about that for just a second, in a small Mom & Pop shop - you are priority, your vehicle is treated like their own, and your business is greatly appreciated. Do you think youd feel that way waiting in line to leave your keys at a receptionists desk? Concerned about warranty? Performance gives you the exact same lifetime warranty!! My repair was over $7K and my car looks better than before the collision!! They even returned my rental for me! I love this place and I guarantee that you will too!!

I recently had my car repaired at Performance Auto, and they did a wonderful job. My car was the subject of a hit and run back in July. I received a call a few days after I filed a police report re: hit and run where Performance offered to waive my deductible. This definitely attracted me to their repair shop! I expected the work to be decent given the fact that they were waiving my $250 deductible. But, in fact, the work was wonderful. They did an excellent job of communicating with me about pick up time and coordinating with my rental car service. When the repair was delayed because they needed to finish up the striping on my car, they were kind, honest, and flexible in letting me pick up my car a few days after it was done. They did not charge storage fees for that time and they even vacuumed out my car! The paint job was excellent and the two new doors on my car were installed flawlessly. All in all, i had a wonderful experience and I will surely be back.

My 2018 Subaru had major damage to the front corner, bumper and headlight. When I got the car back it was beautiful. It looked brand new again and the color match was perfect. The price was better than the Subaru dealership (of course) and another place I had taken it for an estimate. In fact, Jonathan at Performance of Charlotte gave me a lower price and was going to replace more damaged parts for that lower price than the other two places. Their repair work is high quality. I own a custom Nissan Altima, I have took my car several different collision centers around Charlotte, which left me very disappointed with the poor job that was done, but by far Performance Collision has done above and beyond by leaving my car looking better then new, they treated my car carefully and paid close attention to detail, I can honestly say they did the best work on my vehicle, the work was done so good I am going back to have more work work done as well as sending my other vehicle in for work to be done as well. Ive never had any body work done before. My friend recommended this place. They did such an amazing job! I wasnt sure if my car could be fixed, but it looks like new again. The manager, Jonathan, was very hands on. He made sure I was satisfied and he also got me in and out in less than a week. All other companies I had gotten a quote from told me at least 2 weeks! His pricing was also extremely fair and the best out of any company that gave me a quote. I even had one company quote me twice that of Performances quote!!! I will definitely bring my car back here if anything ever happens to it again (knock on wood)!

So when I tell you these wonderful people saved me, its an understatement like no other! My insurance company underestimated my car damage at $4700 ‐ when it was $8250!These people took care of my car while in their shop and me with my rental and pleasant service while it was being worked on. My car looks incredible and better than before. These people are doing really good honest work and i didnt pay a dime bc they waived my deductible. This is now where I will take my cars.

I had a great experience with this shop. Maria took great care of me and kept me up to date on all the back and forth with the insurance company. In addition they took the time to not only detail my car inside and out, but also noted an unrelated check engine light and went to the trouble of getting it checked out so that I knew exactly what needed to be fixed when I took it into a mechanic. I know there have been some bad reviews and accusations about this company, but I did not experience anything negative and would recommend them to anyone. If there were issues in the past they have worked very hard to fix them. Professional, courteous and thorough!

I was in an accident in my 2017 Chevy Camaro. The next day I received a phone call from Darlene from Performance Auto Collision. She was so helpful from beginning to end... She helped coordinate my rental and made everything painless for me. She even waved my deductible fee. Of course I was upset about my vehicle. But she made everything go much smoother. I was super happy with the end result. I will definitely recommend her and Performance!

This was my 2nd visit to PAR&CC. Last year they fixed my black Suburban and did a great job. This time, I had a few door dings on my 2016 Subaru Outback. One ding in particular was huge, like someone had rammed a shopping cart into my drivers door, and after only about one month of owning it....ugh! I had to see that huge ding every time I got in and out of the car, as it was on the drivers door. It really made an otherwise nice looking car look bad. It drove me nuts. The color of this Subaru is what some folks refer to as treehugger green. I was worried that PAR&CC wouldnt be able to match the paint exactly. Fear not, they matched it perfectly and it looks like new. They also fixed another ding on the other side and it looks like new too. Thanks to owner Jonathan and his team for getting the car done nicely and on time.

Being new to Charlotte, I didnt have any idea where to take my car after damaging the hood. Jennifer contacted me and made me feel very safe and comfortable, and I trusted them the entire time my car was in their care. They made arrangements for me to pick my car up that was most convenient for me, and even washed it after the repairs were completed. Everyone there is so nice and accommodating, and I love that I have a place that I can trust. The hood looks brand new!

My work truck was rear ended and I just wanted my back bumper and no trim replaced. Additionally I had some preexisting damage on my front bumper and Performance was able to replace both the back and front bumpers for half the cost of what other shops wanted to charge for replacing only the back bumper. Great price and very transparent about the cost and breakdown. Great results and very easy to work with. Hopefully I wont get into any other accidents, but if I do, Ill definitely return to support local business and the great crew at Performance. Thank you guys very much.

Service and repair was outstanding!! I had another friend that is an auto body repairman and commented about how flawless the repair was! Recommend to all! The owner and his team made me feel like I was the most important client they had. They provided me with rental reservations, and shuttled me there and made sure everything was right. Took care of the insurance companies and keep me updated everyday on repairs. It took sometime on the repairs because of the amount of damage but they treated me so well I didnt mind the wait. Its like brand new!! Dont shop around just trust Performance!

Jonathan and the crew at PAR&CC did a great job fixing my 2017 black Chevy Suburban. My rear bumper and right tail light needed replaced, and the rear right quarter panel needed repaired, painted, and clear coated. Looks good as new, and of the 3 quotes I got (2 were right down the street on South Blvd), PAR&CC was the least expensive. Thanks for the great work!

Car was finished 4 days earlier than expected and they job they was phenomenal. customer service went above and beyond. They called a variety of rental cars to fit my budget until I was satisfied. The car was cleaner than when I dropped it off. Very happy with the service.

I second to I wish I could give this business a 0 star rating. They definitely don’t deserve any stars from me. My car was in a collision, and had some pretty bad damage. With that being said, Performance Auto Repair shop did a horrible job fixing my vehicle. I’m still having issues with the car, and they’re making it hard on me having to drive a car that wasn’t properly fixed. Mind you, they had my car for over a month and it still has issues. DO NOT take your car here for any repairs. They’re terrible when it comes to repairs. They half do the job, it’s not worth the hassle people. Believe me when I tell you, don’t take your car here for repairs!!!! I am beyond upset and frustrated with this business. They need to be shut down!!!

They are awesome! The day after my accident they called me and as a matter of fact they were the Only Body Shop that called me and took care of me from day one! They did all the work w the Insurance Companies, took care of the rental needs and did a Perfect Repair Job to my 2012 Ford Fusion. Well even though the shop was very busy and the completion of the work was delayed, I am very satisfied with the end results. Jonathan made every effort to make things right in spite of the delays he encountered while waiting for the insurance adjusters approval prior to ordering necessary parts. Yes, it took longer than I expected, but in the end he took ownership of his responsibilities and more!

In July I was involved in an accident and went to Performance Auto Collision to get an estimate, the young ladies in the office were very nice and the owner was very helpful. I decided to bring my car to them to repair it, I was told it would be ready in three weeks but actually it was ready in a week in half. when I got my car back it looked brand new. Did not fix car right. Put on used parts then glued the bumper together and headlights. Did not even put screws in bumper. Doing a civil suit. Also endorsed the check from insurance company signed my name illegally. Don’t go to this company.

This company has had my vehicle since June 26. Called 3 times on July 20 for updates with no return calls. Apparently the owner is the only one that can give you undates on your vehicle and he is in and out and difficult to get in touch with. I still have no idea if / when my vehicle will be repaired. I would not recommend this shop for any repairs

Got my car on time and my deductable got waved

My husband was in a wreck. They kept the car for about five weeks, BUT, they fixed a couple extra things (pre-accident issues) for free to make up for the inconvenience. They were extremely kind and helpful. Also, I didn’t have to pay a deductible. I highly recommend.

The service and staff was amazing

First and foremost the receptionists are very kind and attentive, but aside from that the place is horrible. They took nearly 4 weeks to fix my car which had very minor body damage. They kept me in the dark as far as prices and what was going on. To make matters worse they actually took 2 months to finally get my car in the shop to get repaired. I would definitely look elsewhere to get my car fixed.

They found some frame damage that my insurance company had missed. The insurance company agreed with the shop and everthing worked out perfect. Thanks for all your help!

I would recommend anybody to use this body shop they do excellent work my car is like new again. An the young lady name Lisa was a great help to me she did her job to the extreme an I really appreciate her an Jonathan did a great job on my car thanks a lot man .

GREAT SERVICE. I am from Maryland. I had an accident in North Carolina. They were there for me after the accident all the way through. They were able to get the insurance and adjuster out in expatiate manner. I left the car, and they assured me that they would make it look like new again. I was very weary in the beginning but they made sure I knew everything that went on. I came back to pick the car up, and smiled because it looked like it came straight of the lot. I am so happy about my baby being fixed 2014 Chevy Camaro!

I recently was a victim of a hit and run with my 2017 Dodge Charger. I went in Walmart, and when I returned. My whole front end was smashed in. It was towed to Hunters Wreaker. I received phone calls from a number of body shops. But Performance stood out to me. Darlene reached out to me, and informed me. She would send out a tow truck to pay out the fees and wave my deductible in full. She made all the reservations for my rental. She even had them pick me up at my convenience at my job. Im a really busy person, so having her step in and take over of this overwhelming situation was a blessing... Customer service is great... I couldn’t be more happy with the finished product...Thank you Darlene for all your help. Would definitely recommend Performance...

The notorious “I wish I could give it no starts” review. Please BEWARE. We learned that it is a hit or miss. For us, it feels like they loured in my husband because he loved his truck so much. His truck sat there for almost two months and we have nothing to show . It had not been touched other than for an estimate. He was told that it would take three weeks to fix and they would be on it right away. Instead, it had been sitting there for four. We went up there on Monday, December 24 a day they were CLOSED, and my truck was OPEN. My tail light was gone and that had nothing to do with what was damaged, and my factory radio is missing. They stated that we took the radio, we did not. My husband had a new radio and speakers installed. He left the factory radio inside after taking out the new speakers and radio system. We had a metal tool box in the back and they had the key. I asked why the tool box was missing, they stated my husband took that too. Then comes back and tells us they have it. We don’t have the tool box nor the factory radio . We are going back to get the tool box because after we had it towed back to our home, it was still not placed back into the truck. I should have stayed and watched them install it. Please beware and search around before coming to this place. Through it all we want to THANK YOU Ms. YVETTE for everything. Her customer service was suburb!Update: The tool box and radio was returned, but the latter still remains the same.Ps.THEIR COMMINICATION SUCKS! As older reviews state, the owner makes all the decisions and is hard to reach.

I DIDNT BELIEVE ALL THE BAD COMMENTS THEY HAD UNTIL I HAD THE EXPERIENCE NOW I NOW THIS PLACE SUCKS AND THEY JUST LIE..... THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I AM SERIOUS JUST BY LOOKING HOW THE PLACE LOOKS YOU CAN TELL ITS GARBAGE I SHOULD JUST FIXED MY TRUCK BY MY OWN.
