Be careful with application process. They know how to steal your money. They just drag the process by not answering phone calls and emails. And they finally call me after a while and said not only application fee, even the holding deposit is non-refundable.

UPDATE: Was it a bad week in the office? Im not sure, but in the weeks since the review, things have been very different. The people in the office have been very responsive and helpful (even doing a Facetimed tour of the complex and her unit in the rain) and our daughter has moved in, without any issues. The staff have been very good in answering questions and offering suggestions for helping us problem-solve in getting her in from long distance. Im changing my rating based on new information and were looking forward to a great relationship.Were trying to get our daughter into these apartments and being the co-signer on the lease, weve had to get involved. The original lease documents they sent were incorrect and not in a form we could review before signing. When we finally got someone on the phone, they said they would re-send and that was 4 days ago. Calling is impossible... the number Ingrid keeps putting in her response to these reviews is a circular system of unhelpfulness and recordings. And day after day, no one returns our phone calls! I cannot imagine if we finally get her in the apartment how unhelpful they will be once she is a tenant!

These people are so rude I called wanting to know Information about leasing an apartment for one they don’t answer I called in the morning . And In the afternoon . I seen a comment that said it seem like they don’t want they’re jobs and I completely agree. COVID has made everything harder to get in contact with people or find somewhere nice to stay so the fact that I talk to both of the ladies that work here and both of them were TERRIBLE just shows a lot of character for this apartment complex. I highly recommend you not even apply here and go look elsewhere I was going to apply but after yesterday I completely change my mind. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

I’ve lived at Axiom for 6-7 months now and my stay has been comfy cozy! My apartment is fully renovated and I have a perfect view of trees and scenery out on my patio. The staff are very responsive and helpful and I never feel like they’re avoiding me. I will be renewing my lease!

Trash is well taken care of by the Maintenance guys. And the pool is looking good for the summer. :)

My roommate and I paid hundreds of dollars a while ago to get into this complex and we both have been calling to check in to see if we got approved… we been calling since last week trying to get a hold of someone, leaving messages over the phone and texting. No one has called back, answered the phone, or even texted back with information. It’s a little frustrating because we’re trying to secure this unit but the office has been unresponsive lately.

It’s been a pretty great stay here they be on top of everything the new Management is great 👍 I haven’t had any problems…

I love these apartments, when I moved in it was already remodeled. I love everything about this place. We have a really good view of the parking lot.

I have been here for going on three years. I can honestly say that this new management team has mad a significant change in how maintenance is handled and the appearance of the complex. Definitely has been a pleasant experience for a change.

Ever since the management changed everyone has been so nice, when I call on the phone no matter who answers, they always help and give me all the information I need. Truly feels like home!

If I could give this apartment 0 stars I would, this apartment is by far the worst I’ve seen and lived in. The office and maintenance workers are unresponsive and rude, items are hardly ever fixed and the leasing office is closed for hours at a time during normal business hours. Multiple problems in the complex, would not recommend.

Its definitely a work in progress so much needs to be done.So everyone in the office is trying to catch up.There for you could be waiting a while for major things an minor things to get done.The plumbing is backed up in my guess bathroom sink , and a few pipes have leaks i hope they can catch before further damage.We are also missing a cabet face an have been here for already a month. Weve revamped as much as i feel a new residents should with also paying rent;& for trash services i havent yet seen with in the month of us being here. But we are going to stay consistently active with are approach on getting things done. Communication with our new axiom family, because other then that its a pretty chill community an mixed.We will also staying consistent with reviews.Hope this was helpful.

We have new owners!!!! Woot woot! But they don’t fix walls or flooring while you live in your apartment. Example neighbor shotgun shot through my walls, they said I can move but they won’t fix it buckshot is still Embedded in my walls lease is not up for 12 months. Why would I pack up move my stuff pay extra to move apartment (300) and higher rent because someone shot through my walls!

These apartments have the most irresponsible and unprofessional leasing agents and manager. I have never experienced such disappointment. Do not live here or even apply!MARIA the so called manager needs to learn the basic skills in life, such as communication and listening. These apartments need a whole new team in the office.

If I didn’t have to give a star I wouldn’t! Horrible horrible horrible apartment complex! I gave my 30 day notice and applied for assistance prior to pay the rent I owed. They just filed a small claims suit to take me to court after the date I gave them for me to move out!! This apartment has been full of roaches, water leakage and mildew, plugs don’t work and everything just breaks sooooo easily! I have called for maintenance and they don’t come out! The people above me jump so hard it sounds like they coming thru the ceiling. They throw their foods over The balcony. Trash is always everywhere when you walk out your apartment! It’s disgusting here and the ppl in the office is horrible. Don’t move here! RUN THE OTHER WAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

The ladies Candise and Maria were great. They were the only ones this week that get me approved with no issues. They had the apartment ready. It was showroom clean like it was just built. Everything works in my apt unlike my last one. I love it here.

I have lived at the axiom apartments since 2018 and have been very dissatisfied with the apartment as well as the staff. Upon moving in the apartment was not cleaned by a cleaning company as the said it would be i had to Clean up spiders and their webs all over the apartment and wipe down everything, there are some part of the apartment i don’t use due to the amount of spiders in those areas. The bathroom toilet needed to be replace when i first moved in and it was told to me by their maintenance man it had been order and they would let me know when it would be installed and i never heard anything else. The toilet wasn’t finally replace until earlier this year due to the pipes out here backing up and cause the sewage to come back up in out bath, toilet and sinks and they tried to make me pay for it until i had to explain to them the toilet was suppose to have been replaced when i moved in and then it wasn’t properly installed because the toilet moves around and isn’t secured to the floor and as well as the bathroom cabinet under the sink is unfinished. All the cabinets have had peeling paint on them since moving in and to be honest the apartment looked nothing like the display we were shown. I have had issue with water bugs and recently a family of New York size rats that living in a hole by our neighbors apartments. Ive seen apartments out here that have constant issues with flooding when it rains, floor caving in due to pipes busting, I seen apartments that use to be boarded up with people living in them now, the list goes on. I also had a leak in my apartment that took two day for them to come look at and fix while my living room slowly filled with water, even with two separate work orders put in And being told by the office someone would be out the same day and then never checked for water damage. Since living here I’ve seen police on a daily almost 4 times for separate occurrences and the apartment complex chained the back gate for our “safety” all the while the amount of police presence never decreased until recently due to people leaving or evicted after not paying rent for months. At one point the office had a issue with tenants rent payments going missing even one of my own payments and thank god I had the receipts for the money order or they were going to make me pay it again. They then switch to no longer accepting payments in hand to us now only being able to paying through a system at a PLS or Walmart and i have never had a issue with paying the rent since switch until this month when I went to pay my rent Balance plus late fees like I always have and had just check that morning and upon trying the pay at pls I was told my account was invalid and I didn’t understand why when I literally had it pulled up on my phone right there, when I went to speak with Melissa in the office she goes “oh your probably on the eviction list” and claimed it was put in on the 15th of the month then she proceeded to add the court cost and affidavit fee to the rent right then on the 25th and told me to go try again, now mind you I can see all of this right on my phone so I watched the balance change and I had to go online to locate the affidavit due to it being filed on the 22nd not the 15th as she claimed because i hadn’t received anything from the sheriffs office. When I went again to pay the new balance I was still told my account was invalid and ended up having to get a money order and gave it to her and she has the audacity to go “Oh what am I going to do with you” very unprofessional. But it still wasn’t explained to me why I wasn’t able to pay as normal but she was able to add my payment to the account the PLS kept telling me was invalid. My lease is up in April and I really can’t wait to move its to much confusion and miscommunication in this apartment complex and I wouldn’t recommend it if you looking for a dedicated and put together community.

I live here and I absolutely love the community. I love the people who live in my building. I am also fond of the new office staff we have. They are AMAZING!!! I look forward to coming home each day from my full and part job. Melvin Young building 5500 is the best!!!

The best experience so far this week. I have been looking for a 2 bedroom for the end of March. Amanda was so friendly over the phone which made me want to check them out. Maria took her time showing me a few options and surprised me with there move in specials. Cant wait to move in soon!

Candise and Maria were super nice and helpful when I went to get an apartment. The price for the size and location of the apartment is very reasonable. Happy to call this place home for awhile.

My husband and me had been looking for a nice place for a while but I drove by Axiom and saw a huge Now Leasing sign that caught my attention so we stopped in. We were surprised by the type of friendly service we received walking in. Alot of other places made us seem like we were just another couple who they had to deal with but Amanda and Maria were smiling and greeted us as if we were family. We did apply and Maria called us this morning to give us the great news! We cant wait to move in. We want to thank both these young ladies for showing us kindness and respect we didnt get in other places.

I had been to so many places and had been turned away because of a situation that happened years ago but when I came to Axiom Maria listened to my history and never made me feel like she didnt care. She showed me an apartment and made me feel like I was the only person she cared about in that moment. She even gave me hope so I applied and got approved! She has been #1 in my book since the day I walked into the Office. Hope she stays as long as I live here because I know she truly cares! The manager Amanda is always helpful and is always smiling too and I know I made the right decision when I applied!

Drove through just to check out the property and see how things were on just a normal day and I couldnt get past how much trash had been dumped but not removed. Not a good first impression. Im sure rats, roaches and the vultures love this place

I an a current tenant here and have been here for over three years, going on four. One of the main reasons we moved in here were the security features like the gates and also the staff seemed so friendly at the time. Our previous apartment complex didnt do anything about multiple break ins, so we thought a gated community was a step up. Unfortunately, thats only the case if the gates are actually maintenance and work properly. The gates have worked maybe five times for a period of a few days at max while Ive lived here, which is sad and scary. Ive seen other apartments broken into and cars having the tires stolen off of them. The only reason I am still here is because of the cost of moving and the hassle, especially with being in school. It is sad because the cost of rent goes up and up every year, but the community goes down and appliances and apartments are never updated. Im not even sure what Im paying for anymore. The office will also give you dates and times of maintenance but then it will never get done, and you have to call and hassle to get basic maintenance done. Previous maintenance crew were very rude and mouthy, I have barely even seen the current to know how their attitude fairs.

Under the new ownership and current team, we have seen lots of improvements. I am happy to see that these people care and are really putting time and energy into our community! Thank you!

I moved out 3 months ago after being there 3 years. Worst place I’ve ever lived! It wasn’t that bad in the beginning but it just continuously got worse. The gates never worked, playground was always nasty, there was trash everywhere all over the property, the pool was always nasty, I could go on and on. The rent continued to go up every year for no reason smh. Run, don’t walk away from this place. You will regret it. Everyone that moved in did. Didn’t want to give any stars but had to.

Dont move there!!! Office manager is unprofessional.. Third manager in three months.. Trash all over!!!cant get any work order competed. Stayed here a few years and I would not recommend to anyone. Trash everywhere and its noisy. The trash compactor overfills on the weekends and especially on holidays. The rent goes up $40-$60 each year and its not worth what they are charging. Move in at your own risk.

Omg!!!! This place is disgusting!!!! Its own by a company that gives less than a %&#% about African Americans. The carpet is disgusting, they dont paint, walls are damaged, vents are dangerous to anyone with health issues (law suit). The steps are old (untreated), the hallway have mice dropping and very very nasty.Omg!!!! Did I mention (visit from out of town) when driving or walking into the complex, the smell from the trash not being properly clean is horrible.My recommendation is for ALL the renters get together and sign a petition, you guys have right. Youre paying your rent, so why not get your money worth and respect.

Constant change in office staff. Work orders are never addressed due to lack of maintenance staff. Very close to impossible to reach someone in the office. Leasing office was broken into, my package eas stolen from the office. Dumpster area is a horrific sight. Completely unacceptable. Office staff gives incorrect information. Horrible experience.

Current tenant here. If you are looking into moving here run away and never look back. Lived here for over a year and so many bad experiences have been had. My dad and little sister had a gun pointed at them just today and the cops have been here for a couple hours. Matter in fact there is always police, ambulances & firetrucks visiting almost every day. Gunshots ring out occasionally and bums living off of section 80. Been offered weed and pills on multiple occations and people are ALWAYS soliciting around the apartment building sometimes to the point where you cant even get to your apartment. Terrible terrible terrible living experience

I would not recommend this place to anybody. When we moved in here we were told that our apartment would be updated with new appliances and cupboards. All we got was a new faux wood floor that is bubbling up in spots, but yet they are charging us a Premium Upgrade fee of $50 a month. There is trash everywhere, teenagers hanging around smoking weed and sitting on the stairs and they wont even move so that you can get to you apartment. Gunshots and police constantly being called 24 hours a day. Police officer told me that I should just leave, because its not going to get any better. The company that owns this place cares only for money

When I first moved here there was security,now theres nothing but a locked gate that is very inconvenient for those who drive and have to go to the front just to do a u turn.Maria, yes you are trying to make some changes the only so far out of the 8 other property managers. However, my main issue is the fall I had down the stairs last year that NO ONE is addressing. I have tried for a year and a half almost two., Called corporate numerous of times, left mgs no response, no letters no emails. Left them an email all I got back was, What community? Nothing else in 3wks. Yet I get late notices, charged extra money for late fees and court costs. Do Axiom not realize that had I not fell because of their package I would be working and therefore wouldnt be late. Please dont worry about thanking me for my feedback because at this point I dont feel like its sincere. I was promised soamy things and after a year and a half aost 2 nothing has changed.

Terrible, never in the office, gate never works, police live in the complex with how many times they are called out. Most certainty would not recommend to anyone. The place smells or weed 24/7. The only good thing is that you can walk to food lion or a family dollar. Apartments have basic appliances and the fridge in my unit doesnt have a ice maker. Just poor all across the board. Maybe the complex will get new management or owners and do a complete makeover.

I tried to get information on an apartment. I called and as soon as I starting talking they hung up on me!

The place is horrible as soon as we moved in nothing worked and everything is horrible quality and they dont care enough to fix it....the complex has a pool but its never opened or murky and the park is gross with glass and food everywhere so if you have kids this is not the place. For the amount of rent we pay you would think they would care about our opinions on how to make things better. Please do not pick this place to live its truly raggedy....oh and you hear gunshots outside your window almost everynight yup were moving.

Pool is always dirty or closed. Management is rarely at the office and NEVER answers the phone. Laundry room is disgusting. Gates are never working (always open). Trash EVERYWHERE. Our family vehicle got stolen right out of the parking lot so its time to GO.

Been here about 3 years due to convenience to our jobs. The property wasnt this bad , now its dirty, poor maintenance response times (supposed to be within 48hrs) loud, terrible landscape, office staff is nice but have TERRIBLE FOLLOW THROUGH, price has gone up withing renewal periods of $100 or more! For what?! They claim they are making efforts to a better community but just gets worse. I would NEVER recommend this property there are so many others with better amenities, don’t play yourself living here!. Trash fees used to be $12 now its $15 (including pest crontrol) trash compactor is always full, gates dont work (i was told they’re removing them). Pool stays dirty during the summer, gym only accessible during business office hours, if you plan on getting sleep or finding your home as a relaxing environment GOOD LUCK, buildings need to be washed and repainted its an embarrassing place to bring your family and friends. We’re leaving ASAP!!

This is the worst apartment I have ever been I moved in on the 10th Feb and lets just say im giving them there keys back before the 1st. Mold in my apartment hols in the walls nasty smell to the apartment that we couldnt get out they didnt start working on my apartment until 2days before moving in.... My car got stolen from over there

Current resident soon to be former, been here for almost a year. I am not one to write a review based on a single bad experience....its renew lease time, I have submitted my intent to vacate, I received a letter offering renewal options. An increase of $25 per month, with NONE of the concessions outlined in the lease...ok somebody has lost their mind..as a community they have done nothing to keep the good residents they have...I consider myself to be a great tenant, pay on time no office complaints...I have not had any maintenance, and the minor ones I have had have been addressed.I will say all those concessions that are included in your lease, you will never receive, workout facility (open during office hours ONLY) well that dosent work for working professionals like myself.Pool, was barely open this summerLaundry facility, lets just say its not fit for doggie laundrySecurity Fence, always open, they have attempted to fix, no consistency in this repair (may not be Managements fault, however its offered as a concession)My honest opinion, please dont expect more than a place to live, this is not a community
