I was concerned because of past reviews but this place is great. Its clean and David, the attendant is super amazing and very helpful. Thank you, sir. Will definitely use again.

I too was concerned about the past reviews about this Coin Laundry, but I was pleasantly surprised. I did not try the app to pay for my laundry but quarters did just fine. It was $8.75 for the washer I used which would equal about 3-4 loads of laundry at home. The dryers seemed to be a pretty good deal at $3.75 but well see how it goes. My first impressions are good.

The new machines are incredible! I can do 8 loads of laundry in one load that only takes a total (from wash to dry ) of 90 minutes ! And the manager/attendant David- is super helpful, kind and a great attendant to help there. It’s humble people like him that makes the world a little better!! Thanks David!

Dave is a Awesome Elder and owner! Met him our first time visiting this Laundromat, he has nice new equipment, nice clean parking lot, nice clean Laundromat, He actually was cleaning upon our entry! We spoke for awhile he really cares about Veterans and service members and our country, probably the best Laundromat in the area and I will continue to use this location again Thanks Dave for your commitment to the Community, Please help Dave Keep his business clean!!!!

Six months ago it would have been one star but things are changing. New washers and dryers! A caretaker (David?) who is very attentive and always keeping the place clean. Cant wait to try the app so I dont need quarters. Place is much more clean and only getting better.

Going to give it 3 stars.Were traveling to see family in the area - it was nice to be able to wash the dogs comforter while traveling. Plenty of parking ...and close to a gas station & car wash/vacuum (great way to waste some time). On the flip side - a lot of machines were inoperable ... change machine only took cash (used the ATM at the gas station next door) ... and the bathroom did not have running water. So, not overly impressive, but it was certainly workable! And the guy working there was VERY friendly & even offered to help me fold the King size comforter!

Went up there to wash my bedding, very surprise at the new washers and dryers!!! Its a WHOLE lot cleaner than the last time I was up there. The attendant was very friendly and stayed wiping down the equipment. I would highly recommend!

Clean, well stocked, crate machines, and friendly staff. This place is on the rise as the best laundromat in the local area.. not that theres too many anyway. But this one definitely shines above the rest as it is receiving newer machines and definitely new owners that care about the business.

It has been a few years since my last visit. The facility was clean and running smoothly. Dave was very helpful and polite and I love the convenience of DexterPay App! I will definitely recommend to others.

Place is looking nice w renovation. Seems like theyre getting the last of the new machines up and running. $4.50 for the small 3x machine feels a little steep. Maybe its just the city cost, but Im used to $2.50 for this size. DexterPay is convenient but the $.50 convenience fee is more than Id pay.

Updating previous negative review. New owners. It is now very clean with people working on installing brand new machines. Friendly attendant offered help without even being asked. Plenty of bigger washers & dryers working. I actually put my giant thick king size comforter and another large blanket in one machine easily with room to spare for $11. Change machine accepts $20s now. The new dryers WORK! I just dried 3 large blankets in 1 machine, 1 cycle for $3.

I give three stars only because I seen the response to the recent reviews from new management about getting new equipment and a facelift overall and that makes me very excited. This place has been sub par for many years now and it’s the only one in any where in the vicinity. I hope that new management is able to do as they are planning and can upgrade this whole facility and the experience that people have there. That being said, I also have a question, what do you do with clothing items that are in good shape that someone happens to accidentally leave behind? Do you hang onto them for a period of time or toss them after a few days or so? I’m pretty sure that I left a small load or at least several items when I was there roughly about a month or so ago and was wondering if there was any chance they might still be there. I can describe the items missing in detail.

While visiting Charleston I used this laundry mat twice. Very clean and had the friendliest manager I have had the pleasure to meet

First and foremost, David is an awesome caretaker. He exudes positivity and optimism, keeps the place neat, and has a stellar work ethic.On the topic of the washers and dryers, theyre all new machines that run perfectly. Their biggest washer ($11.75 a load, iirc) was able to fit a months worth of dirty clothes easily, and their largest dryer ($3.75 for 34 minutes) dried everything well without having to add any more time in it.Hungry while youre waiting here? Thirsty? Theres a 7-11 right behind the business. Honestly, the only gripe I have is that theres no free wifi (to my knowledge), but with how well maintained this location is, I can hardly complain.Dont get discouraged by the older one and two star reviews. This place is leagues better than any laundromat Ive used. Then again, Im also just glad I dont have to continue to wash clothes in the tub, haha

Spoke with manager David very nice guy very well cleaned each machine out kept place swept up talk to all his customers will be going back there thats for sure we need more people like him around good job David keep up good work ethics

This laundry mat is under new management!!!! All new washer and dryers! The bathroom was clean as well. It is still under construction but moving in the right direction. However, it’s a little pricey on some machines but It’s worth it! #itsabouttime

New washers and dryers are great pretty clean has a bathroom

Not bad. Laundromats arent exciting places to be. But the prices were good. Too many machines out of order (more than 10).

Smells awful and is obviously dirty. Half the machines don’t work and the ones that do are over priced. Went in today to see if anything has changed and nothing has. Shocked they are still open. I live a few blocks away from where and it’s worth the drive to Montgomery to use the other laundry mat.

Ive been coming here for years and was asked by a blonde headed employee to go get some trash bags for here from Piggly Wiggly. I told her I would and went over and made a purchase of $6.99 for a pack of 50 black City of Charleston trash bags. I left her change out of the $10 bill she gave me to do this purchase and the receipt for the purchase and gave it to her straight away after I had gotten back Grimm the store. A little later she came out and told me she didnt find the receipt for the purchase and accused me of going home and bringing her my personal trash bags because I live in Charleston and said I was just trying to rip her off. She said they arent allowed to resell those trash bags at the store and she then tried to make me look bad in front of all the rest of the customers. I will never be back to this rubbish hole.

This place is terrible. First when you walk in you notice that the bldg is half empty. They have removed more than 50% of the machines. Whats left is just big boys, no top loaders or smaller machines. Half of those are out of order I was not going to pay 5.75 to do a small load of clothes. Shame too, Charleston needs a good coin laundromat. But this aint it. If youre willing to drive over to St Albans, there is a nice place there.

About half the machines are out of order. ALL of the less expensive machines say they are out of order. The ATM is out of order. Even the clock on the wall is broken. The owners of this place have managed to make it as miserable an experience as you could have doing this necessary task. The only person smiling in this cold, dingy place is the Maytag man on the wall and you dont have to look very deep behind his dead eyes to see that he would rather gnaw off a limb rather than spend another minute tethered to this laundromat.

Has Maytag appliances! But 80% of them are out of order. Had to wait for a washer. Im from out of town and this is the only laundry around here, so very inconvenient. The washers that did work are very expensive!

Today, 12 of the 24 washers are out of order. 11 of 28 dryers are out of order. The ATM and all the vending machines are out of order. The clock is out of order. I started a load in one of the dryers, and hot air was blowing out around the seals of the lint trap drawer. The other dryer did not malfunction in this manner. The lint trap has a lock on it, so i asked the attendant to clean it. She refused, stating that they were emptied every day, and returned to her smart phone activities.

It very clean and smell alike wash soap in the laundry building. There have laundry service. There have change quarters machine for washer & dryer machine. There have dryer for clothes on wall and wash clothes machines. There have chairs & watching TV while finish clothes.

Good luck getting a working machine that you dont have to wait in a 3 hour line to get. Washer literally broke down mid cycle, had to pay another $5 to use another. Ridiculous. Will be driving to Ripley to Classic Cleaners to get moneys worth. This. Place. Is. A. Joke.

Just an average coin-laundry mat (meaning the machines take quarters only). The only issue I suppose is half of the machines are usually out of service. If you cannot do your own laundry at home, I recommend this place.

The lady working is VERY rude and disrespectful when I tried to get quarters to give to HER business. Left without drying my stuff and will NEVER come back OR recommend this place to anyone. So happy to have a new dryer coming in so I can stay home for laundry. It’s a shame there weren’t more laundromats near Charleston.

Last load must be in by 6:30 - attendant locked the door at 6:20. When I walked around to the other side of building I found that the door was unlocked and I went in and began to fill a washer. Attendant was extremely rude and refused to allow me to use the only washer that was apparently working today (at a cost of 8.00 per a basic load). - when I pointed out that it was only 6:25 she said that she knows what time it is based on the show that is on the TV (it sure wasn’t Jeopardy) Then she went and got her Hello Kitty watch, came back and said “see it is 6:32”. My response was simply that it wasn’t 6:32 when the ridiculous conversation started...would never set foot in this nasty dump if there was another laundromat in the immediate area - but there isn’t.

It is an ok place but the washers and dryers are always out of service they only have a few that work and its 9.50 to wash a load in the big washers thats a rip off in my opinion

I was told this was the best laundry mat in the area. Now I see huge market potential in opening one myself. Because, half, Im not lying here, half of the washers and dryers are out of order. Expensive, and very unfriendly. I was filling my washer and the worker next to accused me of stealing their skrewdriver. It was right in front of her. Two laods on the only two washers available was 13.50, dryer 5.00 or more, well if 60 min will even work. If this is the best laundry mat in the area, I might need to go to another area.

They need to get more washers and dryers fixed everytime i go in there i have to wait for a washer to come available. I guess they want to lose out on money from everyone coming in there to wash and dry clothes.

In from out of town for work. There are way more washers and dryers out of order than in order. Place is clean but other wise thats about the only thing good I have to say.

We had a LOT of laundry and found ourselves in the area visiting family in the hospital... the staff and other patrons were amazingly helpful and kind! We had three of our six kids with us and the staff was so patient with them! Some of the other patrons even offered to help with our laundry! Its just proof that there are good people still out there! Thank you so much for the experience!

22 regular washers, 13 of them are out of order. 4 extra large washers. 28 dryers 9 of them are out of order. There is an attendant on site. $5.25 for a regular wash7.75 for the extra large washer. $2.00 for the first round of drying. It has restrooms and tables for folding your clothes. It has a change machine and soap vending machine.

Filth. Many machines out of order. Child who works there as of January 2019 has a mother who checks on her and she butt into my responding to her daughters, is there something I can do for you as I was calling out for a broom. The woman says how often she is to do it and by the way shes her mother. I said, so to that. She tells me if I dont like it I can leave. This is a child speaking to a woman almost 60! Her mother starts screaming to get the hell out or shes calling police and I told her to go ahead as I told my caregiver we should leave. This screaming mother was approaching me in an aggressive manner and I told her we were leaving and she needs to get away from me. Well I guess she felt emboldened and is yelling get the f outta here and Im telling her Im handicapped and she laughs saying yeah I probably get a check for my head. I let her know I earned my check after working 30 years! Im also a cancer survivor! One thing I know, in my younger days in DC this woman would not have made it very far and I would have a way to stop it. I had a customer come outside to check on us! The owner of this place must be very cheap. Only once has the majority of the washers and a bit more of the dryers been in working order. There once was an older tiny lady that worked there that kept the place clean! This little girl working now hasnt a clue I was out there, nor another three visitors until the screaming banshee came in from the parking lot. The place is filthy with feet of cigarette butts extending from the walkway curb. If you read these reviews apparently the owner could care less about the pricey - clogged with goo - machines nor with how many have had to wait for a washer or dryer due to disrepair. The people he/she hires could care less if there is a mess until their scheduled clean time. Its not clean even then. Many times there are not towels or toilet paper in the bathroom and its filthy as well! That mother should not have had a word to say to me and interrupting my conversation. If her little girl can not handle her job, momma needs to find a place where her nasty bug eyes can be bugging at customers while screaming, threatening and being ignorant of handicapped people. She sure could use a job in labor for exercising her body and soul (with duct tape over her mouth of course) and her daughter needs to work where she truly has to work, not sit in a room doing nothing and helping to diminish this place further. Ill find the owners one way or another. Theyre certainly not a part of the BBB but Charleston doesnt even have a base here. Its part of Ohio office! Sad state of affairs Charleston!

I have no idea how anyone can afford to wash clothes without having their own washer and dryer. Crazy expensive and many machines out of order or break while youre doing laundry. One machine took all my quarters except for the last two and wouldnt return them. No working ATM. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. No soap to wash your hands or towels to dry them and the laundry detergent dispenser was out of order. The place is just gross. The only plus was the girl working there was extremely friendly.

This place is an incredibly dirty hole.....Several of the washing machines not work...15 of the 28 dryers do not work...The sink in the only bathroom does not work and neither does either of the soap dispensers.....If I could give this place a negative rating I would. It would have been better to try washing my clothes at the car wash across the street.

Clean and ok. Coin change machine worked, washers are all huge and dryers also.. expensive but with doing 3 loads quickly, it was great. Bring your own drinks or snacks as there are none available in the building, restroom was adaquate.

The owner and her daughter are very rude and obnoxious. Not helpful with anything. Don’t expect any kind of a refund if they didn’t personally watch you put the $ into the machine. Never mind they have 30 cameras recording your every move..... I wouldn’t recommend this high priced high faluten nose in the air so high they’d drown in a heavy rain place....The bathroom is filthy with excrement smeared on the walls. No toilet tissue no water or soap to wash your hands. The disabled lady who posted the day after my original post is exactly right. She just didn’t realize that the “mother” of said employee IS the owner... She (the owner) acted very unprofessional while dealing with her customers on every occasion I have had the pleasure of using her “private” facilities. I do not understand what as a business owner you’re thinking by treating the people that pay your bills in the way I see you treating ALL of your customers. From reading the horrible reviews for this coin laundry I was fortunate enough to find this lovely 💕 St. Albans Coin Laundromat. Thank you whoever it was who suggested it. Here now;)

Very good but definitely not cheap.

Love the washers they have here because they are extra big. You can wash about 6 loads at once in the biggest washer they have. The cost for that washer is 7.25. The also have free Wi-Fi. The reason I give this place three stars is because the place is always dirty and often times the change machine is not working. Not to mention the public bathroom is very disgusting and never has soap or paper towels to dry your hands on.

Yeah you cant control the crowd and of course some machines are down but this place really helped me out when needed the most. Good location and a great contribution to the community

The people that work there are always working on cleaning the place whenever I am there. They have been helpful when needed.

The manager is extremely rude to me and my girlfriend. Snapped at us for dropping something on the floor before we dad time to pick it up. Last trip I was told I had to wash everything before I could use a dryer, even though I just wanted to freshen the bed stuff and kids stuff animals. I am convinced she is a hateful bigot. She treated to call the cops on us when I questioned her non posted arbitrarily made up rule. Wosrt experience I ever had and lived across the USA and in military. Never had any tell how I had to was my clothes in 40 years if I was paying them.

I was in here last week after I got of work washing cloths and the lady there for no reason comes up to me asked if Im doing laundry and yes I was told her yes then she says prove it and at this point my cloths were in a dryer so not like id just walked in.i showed her to my cloths and she told me I need to leave.i never said one word to anyone in there I was sitting there minding my own business when she for no reason chose to embarrass me in front of all the people in there Im pretty sure just because she didnt like the way I look.id just left work was tired an Im sure I looked tired i wasnt bothering anyone had not said a word to her I was simply washing my damn clothes so just know that when you go here to wash clothes thats the kind of s*** you going to deal with
