As we didnt want to drive out to get dinner, we decided to try this place since it was here at the hotel. I got something simple... Cheese pizza. It was not good. It looked and tasted like frozen pizza with extra cheese thrown on top. My wife ordered the chili & cheese nachos and said it was ok. Oh, and all the straws we were given were really brittle and cracked easily, which was odd.

Trotters was good. The service was good (the best it could be). Our waiter was a very nice man and was trying the best he could for the cards dealt. The fried chicken was the best I have had.

I would never give one cent of my homegrown local dollars to this establishment.After an emergency at our home we needed a hotel room for one night. I was greeted by a front desk clerk who was nice at first. I told him that I needed a room for the night. He asked for ID and payment but as soon as he saw my address was local on my ID his attitude changed to rude and disrespectful. He informs me that the owner doesnt rent to locals and to leave. I ask why and he says,m its there choice.Ok well my choice is to never spend another cent at this or any other establishment owned and operated by this owner. I suggest you think about doing the same.

Pleasantly surprised! Didnt expect this quality of restaurant in a moderately priced hotel setting. They are understaffed, though. Be nice to the staff. Not their fault. The grouper was 5-star, really!

They close at 9:30, we came at 8:50 and they said they were closed. I said I thought 9:30 and her response was were close, I said I understand but....she interrupted me and said once again were closed. Took everything in me not to slap her.

Went on a Thursday and the spaghetti and Italian sausage was amazing. Fried chicken was plain, needed some extra seasoning. The soup and salad bar is by the far the best in town. Reasonable prices considering the quality of the food.

Chicken pinata was outstanding. Moist and tender very tasty. Service was attentive and professional. Will return without a doubt. Also cocktails were mixed well.

Best kept secret in Charleston. The food and service is incredible. Fresh caught snapper , bone in flounder, and of course their fried chicken is so good ! Great breakfast and lunch specials as well.

Trotters Restaurant in West Ashley is a great place for breakfast and lunch. I have had some amazing meals here. I really like the buffet style and all of the different items they have available as each one is tasty and delicious and good southern cooking. This place has been around ever since I was a kid and they have been consistent in their quality throughout the years. For what it is it is impressive and I will keep coming back for more.

Went for Easter and I think everybody else had the same idea. The food was out of this world! They had everything you can think of. I believe if I ask for a bag of chips I would have received it. All food was oversized a plentiful. Plenty of sights to see. This is a must visit restaurant. Definitely hit a brunch or lunch. Their Fried Chicken is very good as well. Avoid their weekday sit-down down as it is not the same as brunch and lunch.

This has always been a quiet place for a really nice buffet lunch. All the food is freshly prepared and tastes exceptional. The staff are attentive and have time to visit with you. Good place for a business lunch meeting, too.

Good and atmosphere was good when staff came out the wipe down empty chairs with a very strong bleach cloth. It was very strong and did not help my allergy to chemical or my migraine. Heavy cleaning should not be done or heavy sweeping. It is nice place and this was the first time I experienced that at your location it took away from overall experience. My server and bus man tiddy up but not with the heavy bleach. It is a good practice but not during my meal.

The food was more than I could finish every time I ate. Service was excellent.

We absolutely love having Sunday brunch here. The fried chicken, mac and cheese, corn bread muffins, collard greens etc is just the right amount of South in your mouth! The carving station with juicy ham and roast beef sliced just right for you, the delicious dessert bar and the salad bar with the omlete station make for endless options that satisfy everyone in our party. Everytime we come to eat, the flavor is always there and the service by the wait staff is impeccable! Weve never been disappointed and neither have our friends and guests who eat here often.

Checked into our hotel and decided to try the restaurant. They were serving food, buffet style. We were a little unsure if we would like it, but we were pleasantly surprised. Best fried fish weve had in a long time. Collards were amazing! Red rice was great! They also had a really good selection on their salad bar. I would definitely recommend.

Lunch suffered.... my cheeseburger was over cooked and ff were very greasy...when you spend about $45.00 for two, you exspect it to be will be editable, wished I had gone to McDonalds.

Only had breakfast, but toast was cold, unbuttered and the butter they bring you was frozen. Wouldnt eat breakfast there again.

Id never been in Trotters and Im now sorry Id never been in. Im not a huge fan of buffets but each dish was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. Great place in WA to go for a business lunch or just a more relaxing meal.

We had the Sunday morning breakfast buffet. It was superb!! There was a great selection on the hot bar, a made to order omelet station where omelets were cooked to perfection. To top it of our check for 4 adults was only $57!!! We will be back.

Unbelievable..had the chopped sirloin, medium rare. Absolutely delicious, collards and frys. Hands down best in Charleston.

He gets my food in takeout boxes & wraps up 2 take home.Their good is always gr8 & salad bar fantastic!Sundays Brkfst/Buffet has made 2 order omelets w/LOTS of avail add-in options.Kenny then brings food out w car for me & puts walker in 4 me!Fantastic staff in front & back of kitchen. After hearing lots of great comments about Trotters Restaurant, my husband and I decided to try it after work a few weeks ago. We are self-professed food critics and we always enter a restaurant with doubt. However, Trotters proved to be everything weve heard. They have just finished restorations and the place looks amazing. The salad bar was out of this world with so many choices that it was hard to fit everything we wanted on our plates! We also ordered a pasta dish as well as fried chicken. Lets just say we ate till the cows came home so we had no room left for dessert!

Greeted with room temperature coffee, by the time creamer arrived at the table the coffee was cold. Our server came to the table twice, once to ask if we would like water, the second to bring water and the check. The food while a large variety was sub-par for a Charlestonian restaurant. We expected so much more from reading reviews, but was definitely not worth the $13 pricetag for a breakfast/brunch.

My family eats here every time they come in town. The lunch buffet on Sunday is so good, and the staff is so nice, remembers your name, always attentive- just all around awesome!

The most comfortable breakfast experience anywhere around here. Dinner is well thought out, prepared, and served for less than youd expect to pay.

No service, no food. Had to eat at the salad bar cause we could get waited on. The bar was awful. Barkeep was a very unhappy woman that was very slow and grumpy. Wow, it was bad.
