Great place to rent. Prices do vary according to date, time, guest count, and hosting a private or public event can also determinate pricing. There are also some amenities included in rental depending on the theme and layout of the event. Scotts Grand is one of very few venues in the area with early and extended hours. Wanted to rent the Hall.mind yall I already paid for the hall so now we have the Corvid19 so we cancelled it for next year 2021.so Regina said ok I need to update the contract so okay cool.never did so I popped up at the hall or whatever you want to call it today 8/22/2020.the place is totally different now.you cant have an event in there.she never called me and let me know what was going on with the place.so I called her.got a message.cant talk right never called me back.(To be continued)

I can write for days about all the wonderful experiences Ive had here. Recently I attended the Cotton Club Experience and it was truly a wonderful experience. The Food & the Fellowship was everything. It was a great crowd! Looking forward to doing it again soon!

Scotts Grand is the place to be if you are visiting Charleston, South Carolina or planning an event!!! We just recently had our family reunion located at Scotts Grand and they went above and beyond of what was expected. My family was provided breakfast and our banquet dinner here for a great price! And the food was very tasty, homemade, and cooked with love food. I could not stop going back for more food! I give Scotts Grand staff 15 out of 10 for their amazing customer service and hospitality. Awesome, awesome, awesome venue for and event you need!

I had a event here and it was a disaster dealing with the venue. I asked the owner Ragina to refund some money because of how unprofessional everything went. When I arrived, the venue was supposed to be completely done and decorated. However, me and my guests were moving tables. Also, it was not vacuumed and dirty in the front area where people come in at. On top of that, the food was cold and not ready when it was supposed to be. Food was a hour late when it shouldve been out prior to guests arriving. I would never ever book here again. Beware that everyone in business is not about business!!!!!!!! I emailed her asking for a refund for her lack of services and she never responded to my email or even offered any compensation for her lack of services, cold food, and unprofessionalism!!!!!!

Please please please don’t use this venue for your event. The person who rents the venue out is vey unprofessional, a thief, a liar and a thief. When inquiring about the price she will lie and tell you different prices also she will tell you to hurry up and pay deposit at a special promotion she’ll have going on at the time and then the price will increase when it’s time to pay for the balance. This woman is a manipulator and the truth isn’t in her. This woman doesn’t know anything about renting a facility to the public; Regina you are a liar and this venue will never grow with you doing bad business as such. Also her bartenders serve nasty mixed drinks and the catering is horrible spend your money elsewhere

When looking for a venue, run as far as you can from Scott’s Grand Banquet Hall. The woman who runs the establishment, Regina is the most unprofessional person I have ever done business with. So much so, that I thought it was a joke. I met with her in the beginning of March to discuss my sister’s baby shower which was on April 29. When she presented me with the contract she highlighted the areas pertaining to me that I would need to initial and sign. (this is after she promised to deliver on all the things I asked for but we’ll get into that part later) She told me that if I wanted to cancel it would need to be within 30 days of my event to receive a refund. 4 DAYS after she received her $800.00 I called her to cancel for personal reasons and she told me I could only get $400.00 because of her “reservation fee” (which was conveniently left _____ blank on the contract and not highlighted) & “business she could have missed out on”. My event date was almost 2 MONTHS away at this point! Long story short, she argued with me on the phone after I told her I would consult with my attorney.(which I did and was advised the contract was a terribly drafted contract) Regina told me that if I wanted to speak with her it would need to be via writing from that point on because she felt that I expected her to drop everything she was doing when I called (I only called her twice). I scheduled a face to face meeting with her where she apologized for her conduct. I accepted that apology and decided to move forward with keeping the venue since the stress of going back and forth was not worth it and I really just wanted my sister to have a great shower.Moving forward to the day of the shower. The event was supposed to start at 2pm and she said we could get there at 11am to set up. When a family member arrived at 11 for set up, the venue was cold and had nothing done. She told the family member that she thought the shower started at 5pm. Really? A 5pm baby shower on a Sunday? Table cloths were to be yellow and blue but when we got there it was all white. Looked like from the event she had the day before. She promised the professional umbrella light for the photo booth, it was nowhere to be seen. When I got there, I asked her what was going on with the table cloths. She told me they were going to be all white because I did not go through her cousin who has his own décor business and venue. Her cousin was there and knew that was bull and generously went to his venue and provided her with blue table cloths for the shower. He is an excellent decorator, unfortunately he was just out of our budget or I definitely would have used his venue and décor. Very professional and detailed oriented man. The lighting for the booth needed to be pulled out of the closet and she did not know how to set it up. She half way set it up and said my sister should be able to figure out the rest. The dispenser for my signature drink was filled with apple juice from a previous event. Actually a few dispensers still had fluids in them and were tackily displayed on the bar. When I asked her for ice, she suggested that we walk to Save a Lot next door. She forgot that I was going to be using her projector. She didn’t even have a Mic! She told me she could call her “DJ” to bring it but by that time it was already after 2pm. So the show went on without a mic. She mingled and ate our food like she was a guest so anytime I needed anything from her, I’d have to find her amongst the party with food in her mouth. Thank God we brought all of our food because there was a live roach behind the bar. I could go on, so if you haven’t read the review and skipped to the end. DON’T RENT FROM HER. DO NOT USE SCOTT’S GRAND BANQUET HALL. Have a blessed day.

Do NOT use Ragina Scott Saunders at ScottsGrand or Scotts Grand period. This woman is unprofessional. When I say unprofessional I mean VERY!First of all she stated we had servers with our reception package & the do not allow outside bartenders. We had one elderly lady, 1 young boy, & 1 girl (who looked underage at the bar & had NO IDEA HOW TO MIXDRINKS).The week of the wedding I tried to finalize things with her, when I (THE BRIDE, THE PERSON PAYING aka THE CUSTOMER) got there we had a shouting match to the point where members of my party had to redirect her in her own establishment!! Instead of using customer service skills & listening to my complaints she became very defensive hostile & BELLIGERENT. My coordinator intervened & they got into a disagreement via the telephone (at the last minute I tried changing coordinators to ease tensions on the wedding day).The food that was served was old, dry, & cold!!! The menu she entered in her notes WRONG!!! When corrected by my father & myself (thats 2 people) she became combative & irate. The food that was served was still incorrect!!! We ordered roast beef & ended up with ribs. Not to mention was food wasnt in professional serving trays that keep the food warm, they were in disposable aluminum pans like my wedding was a cookout!!!Slide show was supposed to play during the hour for the bridal party to go get pics (after being tested the night before) the projector was malfunctioning which I think was a form of passive aggressiveness since we had a disagreement on Wednesday.She got into verbal altercations at my reception with not 1, not 2, but 3 members of my family for offering to help the sole young boy she had serving. She got smart in the mouth, but what she didnt know is my people was sitting on GO to light her up. Out of respect for my wedding day they held their peace.I was told I as the bride can not contact the decorator (although Im paying for him) bc hes her vendor. My wedding colors was supposed to be LAVENDER & I ended up with ROYAL PURPLE (it looks darn near blue in the pictures)! I was specific about not wanting purple even hand delivering swatches to Ragina to give to the decorator. She also accused me of stalking the decorators fb page bc I clicked like on his work (hes advertising dah)!!!!She also told me back in October the raggedy ceiling tiles would be fixed by my July 1 wedding & if they werent shed have lavender draping in between the white draping thats always on the ceiling. Well that didnt happen. The ceiling was still raggedy with uncoordinated black & white tiles & some tiles still looked old like it was going to fall in.My guest who arrived for a 4pm wedding at 3:30pm was locked out in the July heat & humidity in Charleston!!!I can go on.....hold up!Oh, but wait!!! The best part is she tried to steal an SUV full of OUR alcohol that wasnt consumed by our guests. Cases of beer, wine, & alcohol she was trying to STEAL from us. Once I started talking to folks apparently this is the reputation Scotts Grand has for being unprofessional thieves.Please dont let your relatives fall victim like I did. Spread the word. I found out about this place after the fact. Everything was paid for since OCTOBER 2016!!! The only thing she was consistent about was receiving the 2 payments we made. She will promise you the moon & the stars to get your money.
