I highly recommend YJ Taekwondo for kids. Both my kids age 8 and 6 enjoy the class. They have been going here for a year.

We truly enjoy taking our son here! The staff is amazing, especially Master Lee, and our son has developed so much confidence over the last 4 months. He also shows a great deal of respect towards his instructors and he truly enjoys his time there. This is such a wonderful place, especially for little children, and attention is given to every child in the class. Master Lee has also invited my daughter to join in on some fun activities even though she’s not enrolled. His enthusiasm and high energy gets the kids going and it’s enjoyable to watch. I highly recommend YJ Taekwondo!

We love YJ Tae Kwon Do Academy and especially Master Jun! Master Jun is an extremely talented, humble, and caring instructor. Our son loves and respects him greatly. He has been taking classes at YJ since he was 6 years old and he is now 10. During his time there he has demonstrated notable growth in his self-confidence and technique. One of the things we appreciate most about YJ is its small size- where you feel you are part of a family and not part of a mill like at some of the large or chain dojangs. Our son loves the personal attention he receives from the instructors. We highly recommend YJ Tae Kwon Do Academy!

The program for toddlers is really good. The masters really engage with the kids. This school is the only school that doesnt make you sign a 3 yr contract.

My son Dre has been at YJ since he was 3 1/2 years old. While the school is a bit smaller than most, we love it because Dre gets the personal attention that he may not have otherwise. The instructors Master Jun, Master Alex, and Mr. Greg are great instructors. Their style of teaching is age appropriate and they help build the childrens confidence. As Dre approaches 5 next month, he has proven to have more confidence and interest in taekwondo and has grown and developed into a great martial arts student thanks to YJ. Thanks, YJ!

The instruction here is a breath of fresh air. Love the atmosphere, price, and opportunities for advancement. Clean , great kids =100% best money Ive ever spent. YJ Tae Kwon Do makes me want to maybe even come out of retirement and start tae kwon do-Ing again; why should my son have all the fun?

My son loves it, and he is very motivated. I love it because they reinforce respectfulness and discipline during every class, and also make it fun. Master Alex makes it entertaining and Master Jun incorporates life-lessons in his teaching.

A True Gem. Master Jun is the most well known expert in the Taekwondo Community. He has persevered starting from a student, and then instructor and finally an owner with a philosophy based on continuous improvement for the school and students. Any student willing to join will be taken under his wing and improved, and any suggestions for improvements will be considered.This is also a small school open to anyone, with a family style atmosphere and frequent potlucks where random gatherings are normal. The school has been remodeled and the transportation is new. The payment plans are very flexible and there is no pressure to join.

How are you.This is Master Instructor Park of U.S.T.C.I have known Master YJ such a long time and he is a wonderful Master and also wonderful Person.He is a true Motivator and try to follow whatever he teaches at his class. Great role model for Martial arts students.He always try harder to be better Master for his own students.He is very energetic and passionate about Martial arts,so it keeps positive influence to his students and fellow Masters including me.They also have great After school program and Summer camp.I truly recommend to his school to anyone who lives in Chantilly area.

My familys experience with YJ Tae Kwon Do Academy has been extremely satisfying! Before sending my daughter there to start lessons, we shopped around and visited several martial arts places. I second others comment on how this place is not super crowded and not as personable. Most place run their academies on strictly business terms. They are all about generating revenues as opposed to helping kids learn true martial arts. YJ, on the other hand, is much more friendly and focuses on the correctness of the forms. They watch every kid practice what they have learned by calling out the individuals to demonstrate. YJ makes us feel as if we are part of their family. The patrons there pretty much know one another and are all very friendly. I definitely recommend this place for any family that is planning to start their kids in Tae Kwon Do.

My son has been attending YJ martial art school for few months and his abilities has learned valuable leadership and service disciplines. I started this school because they were offering free trials and Master Jun who is the headmaster is great! You can tell he is well trained and very experienced. He really provides quality training and cares for each of his students. My son loves him and count the days to go training. The school is very family oriented and makes you want to get involved.

My son recently joined YJ Taekwondo and loves it! The classes are the right size, the teachers are amazing, and my son is always asking when his next practice is. Classes have given him another outlet to have fun and be active, but also reinforce discipline, respect, and the importance of self-improvement. I also love that they encourage the kids to do positive things outside of martial arts such as reading, good behavior, and recognizing/showing appreciation. We looked at 3 other programs in the area and are so happy that we chose YJ Taekwondo!

Our son started at YJ when he was three years old now he is six. We have seen tremendous growth in his approach. Were happy to be part of the YJ Tae Kwon Do family. Our 4 children (now 13, 12, 5 and 3) have attended YJ for 1.5 years and they love it! They have classes for various age groups and do an especially wonderful job with the little ones in ninja (3-5 year olds) classes. Highly recommend YJ Tae Kwon Do!

This is a great place to learn TaeKwonDo for for all ages - from three on up! We would certainly recommend giving YJ a try! The studio is conveniently located right off Rte 50 - easy access from Stone Ridge and South Riding areas.

The place is nice , clean, and comfortable. Like the emphasis on good grades and self-discipline.I started in YJ Taekwondo about 9 month ago. Master Jun and all staff at YJ taekwondo academy are very passionate and nice. My children love to taking taekwondo classes with their friends. Since here is not that big sized school, so kids can get more attentions from masters and instructor, that is the main reason why we choose this school. Its very interactive class. Every summer camp they have excitement for kids to have fieldtrip assigned. After school kids have very focused supervision from teachers. They have very clean learning environment.

YJ Tae Kwon Do Academy is a great place to learn Tae Kwon Do. The masters and students are friendly and very respectful. The after school program is a great way for kids to get exercise, spend time with friends, and learn respect for others.

YJ Taekwondo is the best in South Riding. His ability to teach, know and understand what each child needs is over the top. He really pays attention to each one and make sure he understands what makes them succeed. His TKD school is top notch. He is patient and kind. He is a professional in running his TKD School.
