I was quoted $77 over the phone for a Full Synthetic Oil & Filter Change Service on my Toyota Tundra. I picked up my truck today and my bill was $138. The person that booked my appointment on Thursday did not bring up the Other-Direct-Costs that I would be incurring and no one reached out to me today that my bill would be 2x the estimate. At the end of the day, I paid the bill, rather than argue the point at the shop, but a little more upfront transparency from the phone staff on Additional Costs would be much appreciated and go a long way. I’m hoping we can resolve this miscommunication upfront on my next Oil Change.

I found Main Street Tire and Auto about a month ago when I needed to two tires for my 2018 Audi Q5 and a tire rotation. I had previously called two other repair shops to ask for an estimate and Main Street Tire and Auto had the best quote. I went back there today to get my VA state inspection. I’m impressed with their overall service, their professionalism, and honesty. It happens very rarely that an auto repair shop does not try to sell you work (that you probably don’t even need) after performing an inspection. Thank you for that!

Neat small place. Just 3 bays for servicing. They are good as expected for minor services. They tend to take more cars than they can deliver on time. I have been delayed. But Id still go there coz they are nearby and I dont need to travel too much coz of covid times.

The Gen Msgr, Tony, was totally in charge from the get go. I arrived after a 4hr drive from Pa and needed a state inspection plus had to return to Pa nlt the next day. Tony grasprd my issurs and promised they could handle my issues in a timely manner. Upon inspection it was determined a problem with emergency brake and left rear braking system. Tony indicated they could and would cotrect the issue by the next day. In the process of solving the issue Tony detetmined a full alignment was required to sort full safety issues as a resukt of braking issue. Again Tony deluveted the full completion as promised and I was away, inspection approved; repairs accomplished on my way back to Pa.This narks the third year un a row they have managed all three of our vehicles.My family very satisfied and pleased!

I used to be a mechanic myself so it was hard for me to find a shop that I can appreciate. Whenever you go to a shop, you have this doubt in your head about if they are telling the truth or not. Well, Main Street Tire and Auto send you a photo of all the issues attached so that your doubt can go out the window. They were very professional at letting me know the issues that I had in my car and did not force to over sell thing to me. Also they were not upset when I told them I do most of my work my self except for big item tickets and they understood and provided details of what big item tickets I have coming up next. I will definitely continue to go to them for service and will be talking all my cars here for service that I cannot do at home.

Great service, super friendly, and helped me out in a pinch. I needed an emissions test done the day off or I would have to visit the DMV in another three months due to the backup in appointments. They got in me in and out within an hr and I was able to get my vehicle registration done the same day.

I have a 2010 and 2017 Lexus vehicles, and Main Street Tire and Auto (MST&A) have always given me an honest assessment of my vehicles needs and great overall service quality for my vehicles. I have become a repeat customer, simply because they perform professional mechanical maintenance and services at the top level. My 2010 Lexus had undergone brake replacement/services, timing belt change, suspension replacement, and head gasket replacement (not all at once, over a two-year period). My 2010 Lexus feels practically brand new as if I just drove it out of a Lexus dealership.I have recently turned in my 2017 Lexus vehicle for tire alignment and tire replacement/balancing (my Pohanka Lexus mileage warranty services contract ended). MST&A continue their excellence for practical, honest service recommendations and a great deal on service (more money saved rather than the estimate received from Pohanka Lexus). Ill continue to go to MST&A for my vehicle needs.

Service was quick and professional, but keep an eye on your wallet. I made the mistake of authorizing service and severely overpaying sadly. $175 for a brake flush, prevailing market price is $125 tops. $258 for a tire (not including installation), prevailing market price is $180-$200. $40 for shop supplies... wow. And my last brake flush was done in September 2019... hmm. Again, service was great (and hopefully necessary...) and that accounts for something, but, boy, those prices.

I would like to thank Main Street Tire and Auto so very much for their expert help with my car on May 8, 2021.The “Low Tire Pressure” warning appeared on my dashboard after I had been driving the car for about 20 minutes. The warning remained on as I drove the car in the afternoon.I was in Aldie, Virginia visiting my daughter and her family. I live in New Jersey and did not know where to take my car to be checked. My daughter told me she knew of a good tire repair shop.....Main Street Tire and Auto. We dropped the car off there mid afternoon.The staff told us they would check all the tires and would be able to do this before the shop closed at 6pm. True to their word, we received a call at about 5pm telling us the car was ready.When we picked up the car the the manager told us all the tires were fine, no nails, etc. He explained the calabration on the car’s computer for tire pressure needed to be recalibrated and that the pressure had originally been set too low.The problem was corrected!!! The staff knew exactly how to solve the problem. I was so relieved. I drove home today, May 10, 2021. The car handled well. The tires were perfect. I had a safe ride home.If you need work done on your vehicle, I would definitely recommend Main Street Tire and Auto.They staff were knowledgeable, friendly, competent and a pleasure to work with. I am a satisfied customer! Thank you Main Street Tire and Auto.

My partner went here for a VA state safety inspection and the very polite staff told her that she needed to have some relatively minor repairs performed; no problem there. The problem was that the repairs were quoted for about twice as much as the prevailing market price. The required repairs were the replacement of one control arm bushing, one inner tie rod end, and an alignment, which came out to $1173.35 including the safety inspection. I went to Catoctin Automotive instead which charged me $620.14 for the same services. I recommend you compare rates online and with other repair shops before having services performed here. I am concerned that the staff here may have assumed she wouldnt know a fair price and attempted to charge her vastly more than any other honest repair shop would.

Went in for a State Inspection. Usually inspections you drive up and wait till you next. They wanted me to drop off and wait 2 hours + for a simple state inspection. Maybe their other services might be good but my first impression is terrible for inspections. Will find other location.

Took truck in to get a tire rotation and alignment done. Got charged and paid for both items through the pay app. When picking up the truck, I discover that tire rotation was NOT DONE AT ALL (I marked the front right tire with RF to make sure the job was done). Tire was in the same exact position. The technician continue to insist that he did the tire rotation until I said I had proof from marking the tire. Then, the technician tried to say he didnt do the tire rotation because he deemed it unnecessary from the tire tread. Fine, if thats the case, then just tell me INSTEAD OF CHARGING ME FOR NOTHING. Got a refund and the service advisor was professional in handling the situation at least after I was clearly angry.This does not change the fact that I DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE any longer. This does not change the fact that I left the place having spent $150 on the alignment and wondering if that was even done. The one thing that everybody is scared will happen at an auto service repair, getting charged for something that wasnt done, happened to me. If I didnt mark the tire to check their work, I would never have noticed this attempt at what is basically fraud.Too bad because Tony seems like a nice guy the last time I worked with him. Time to find a new place I can trust to do a simple tire rotation. How can I trust to leave my truck here in the future after I probably got someone in trouble just by noticing work wasnt done.

Dont waste your time here. Just go to Hogan and Sons. My husband took a Jeep tire here on Friday for a patch. When we called about it Saturday, Matt put him on hold and hung up. So he drove up there and nobody had touched the tire in 24 hours. They had promised it would be done Saturday, and were closing in 45 minutes. So he took the tire and went to Hogan and Sons. They had it patched in 15 minutes, and were friendly and professional. Cant say the same about Matt.

From the moment you walk in to the minute you’re heading out, the service and attention you receive is beyond amazing! Tony and his team are so kind, honest and really know their stuff. Their attention to detail is impeccable and I’m always guaranteed the best work on my car. Made an appointment for 10 - noon with vehicle drop off. I stayed in the area until the vehicle was supposed to be finished. My vehicle wasnt brought into the shop until after noon. Why make an appointment if the shop isnt going to honor it? Pricing was reasonable but this experience wasnt. Glad I didnt have work in the afternoon that day

I got a pre-purchase inspection here. After the inspection they sent me a helpful email that was easy to understand and included photographs. One of the mechanics also spent about 15 minutes afterwards answering my questions and discussing the car I was looking to buy.

I recently took my vehicle to a place in Sterling for and Inspection. They told me I had stuff wrong with my car that I knew couldn’t be right. I called around and found Main Street. Main Street tire and auto , was FANTASTIC, they found out what was actually wrong , which was nowhere near the price of the other shop , fixed my vehicle pronto and gave me great service. Brought a car in for an oil leak. They were extremely honest and told me they believed it was covered under warranty and to take it to the dealer. It was covered under warranty. Charged me 160 just to check my engine. 310 to replace a mass airflow sensor. Did the job myself, took me 5 mins and 80$ for the brand new part. Never visiting this shop again.

Finding a great place to get ones car repaired requires a lot of luck. I consider myself lucky to have found the best place to take my car when I need to. As I walked into Main Street Tire and Auto, I got a hint of the quality of service I was getting. The owner and the staff are warm, friendly and polite. And their knowledge of the mechanics of the car is immense. I did not have to wait even 2 minutes for my paperwork to be done and before I knew it, my loaner car was waiting for me at the entrance. I took my Infinity 2014 for safety. Thought it would be just 20 minutes. The car I knew had everything in excellent shape. After about 45 minutes the guy told me of some joint mark on left light and told me he would charge $55 and would take another 30 minutes. I said no and just paid inspection fee. I came to the car and found a very small round piece of sticker on left headlight that was otherwise not noticeable. I had not seen this before. With little hot water and a label remover liquid, I removed the small piece in a minute. I noted the incident in my auto record in case I forgot about the shop in future. I would never go back there in my life. What a band of thieves.

Being a business owner with a small fleet of vehicles, Ive had many mechanics. Main Street Auto has mostly serviced my family vehicles. The thing about Tony and his crew is HONESTY and great customer service. They go out of their way to understand your needs. For instance, when my work car became the teenager car, it was important to me that it be SAFE and reliable. But was it really worth spending a lot of money to repair a slow oil leak? (not so much and he didnt push me to spend that money which was much appreciated). And when I was out of town and couldnt pickup a repaired vehicle before closing, he even sent a team-member to pick up my son in Stone Ridge one recent Saturday afternoon. Finally, if they make a rare mistake, they own up to it and make things right. Good company, great service and honest guys. I recommend them.

Had 3800$ in repairs done at a different shop just to find out the alignment was not done correctly. Brought the car to main street auto; Tony found I had 2 dangerously worn tires, replaced them at a great price and had the car aligned PERFECTLY. There’s only 2 shops I bring my car to in northern Virginia, and Main Street auto is one of them. Expect quality, top notch service every single time.

I was very impressed with Tony. He helped me over the phone and then I made an appointment. I had to have my headlights polished to pass state inspection. He told me how long it would take and the cost. When I arrived he remembered me and was very friendly. It took exactly as long as he said it would. He even had my inspection completed. I did call around for pricing and they were the best. They are out of my way but worth the trip. This is an all-in-one auto service center conveniently located near my new job in the Dulles south corridor . Ive taken my car there for inspections and washes and was pleased with the services. Im about to take another car in for tire replacement and Im sure I can expect the same level of professionalism and courtesy.I normally take my cars into the dealership of purchase for all services until the warranty runs out. Thereafter, I find local auto centers located near work that offer good service at fair prices. Im sure I will be going back to Main Street Tire & Auto Center for all of our family auto needs.

WOW, These guys give you a free loaner car while they fix your car up right. I didn’t know about this place for years, but I’m glad I found them. They’re my new go to shop. They fixed a difficult repair on my 2015 Mercedes that no one else seemed to be able to diagnose. Super nice and honest people ............oh yeah and a lot cheaper than the dealer too.

My experience with Main Street Auto Employees has been positive. The front office to the men working on my vehicle are courteous, kind and respectful. I have a 2007 RX 350 Lexus. I listen when they tell me what needs to be done to keep my vehicle safe. I have had my oil, belts and hoses changed. I had my inspection done. They have replaced my radiator, brakes and I have bought tires. I have new fluid changes to my radiator and transmission. These are the things I can think of right now. I always have to call around for the best prices. Usually Main Street Auto prices are better then other companies.

Asked Monica to detailed our suburban that hadnt been cleaned for 10 years years. Carpets had stains and floor mats were black. Terrible odor in vehicle. They waxed and detailed the outside of the suburban. Polished the headlights. The rims were polished they were black and now you can see chrome. Her team was awesome. We will visit their again. Let me start by saying I have never had such an awesome overall experience at any business before. Being from out of town and passing through, I had no idea where to go when my car started smoking and overheating. I happened to be closest to Main Street Tire and Auto and had my car towed to them, and am so glad that I was. I am a single mom and times are tough as it is. I was very cautious going into this place knowing that I could easily be taken advantage of, but very quickly let my guards down as I could see the crew here was very professional, nice and caring. They quickly diagnosed my car and even checked it over completely at no extra charge. They could of told me anything and I wouldnt of known the difference. Instead the manager told me it was a simple hose that cracked and repairs would be less than $40. WOW. Seriously?? They were able to make the repairs while I waited in the lounge, which by the way was very neat and clean. They have free coffee and refreshments and even free WiFi. I really wish Main Street Tire and Auto was located next to me where I live......it would be such a relief because my car is always in the shop. You guys are the best. Thank you so much!

Dont use this place. I went across the block and got a cheaper repair (500 dollars vs 65). Very shady and lying business practices.

The service is always great. I got an inspection and the experience was perfect as always. I also got an oil change (I always get my oil changed there). Its a little over-priced and there is always a small extra fee for shop items or something like that, but overall its a great experience. I like the free car wash with the oil change.This is a good place and they make you feel comfortable coming in. Highly recommended.

Being new to the area, we are extremely happy with the service we received here on two occasions for safety/emissions inspections and oil changes without having made an appointment. The staff keeps you updated through every step of the process. On the first occasion I was graciously offered a ride home when my vehicle needed to be kept overnight awaiting a part for repair. There are two places I absolutely do not enjoy going to - one of them is to the dentist and the second to auto repair shops. However, there was no way around getting my safety and emissions inspection done since I just moved to this area and had to get them done at one point or the other. I have to say that Tony and his team were not only fast but also extremely friendly and honest. They did not try to rip me off like most of these places, and even changed my license plate bulb for free. I definitely recommend Main Street Tire & Auto and I will be definitely coming back (but lets hope I dont need any service done in the near future :)

Bought a piece of crap car about 10 months ago and have had nothing but problems. The main problem was a constant stutter at 45-50 MPH. Everywhere we went could neither find a problem or would find something else wrong (usually very expensive something else)! The problem was never fixed and I had given up hope on getting it fixed. My wife lost any faith she may have ever had in mechanics. One day I was searching auto shops and I was looking for the best rates and I found Main Street. The only issue was it was about 40 minutes away. I didnt want to drive all that way to have my wallet ravaged again. All the positive reviews tempted me to try getting this car fixed one more try and Im very glad I did! Despite having to spend more money, Tony and his crew found he problem and fixed it...FINALLY! I strongly recommend them for any of your cars needs! Even gave a military discount!

I would highly recommend this auto repair shop. Great customer service and reliability. The staff responded quickly to all my questions and very trustworthy. Have never had problems with any repairs and will definitely come back in the future.

I just moved to Loudoun County last year. I had a great mechanic in Arizona who was also a good friend. Finding a good mechanic was one of my big concerns coming to Northern Virginia. I believe I found a great mechanic in Main Street Tire & Auto. The shop and waiting area is clean. They have a loaner car for you to use and if its not available you can get a special price on a rental car from a near by rental agency. Not only do they do great work, they talk you through everything and I have become friends with them as well.I have a 2009 Dodge Laramie 1500 that has a limited lifetime power train warranty. Because of the warranty, I cant give them or anyone else all of my business, but they get all of it not related to the warranty or maintenance. I only choose to do maintenance such as oil changes at the dealer to eliminate any chance that Dodge can deny my warranty. They have serviced many things on my truck to include the AC system and most recently my evap for the emission system and few other things. At first we tried just the fuel cap, but the light came back on and more extensive diagnosis was required. They found the problem and fixed it in a very timely manner. In the near future I am probably going to have them put a three inch lift kit on my truck.I am extremely grateful I stumbled upon this great group of guys and I highly recommend them to all my friends in the area.

Jay at Main Street really took care of us today. I hadnt been able to make the car wash in a while despite pre paying through the monthly plan. Since he didnt want to lose me as monthly customer, he gave me a no charge mini detail so I wouldnt view my missed washes as a total loss. Quality guy and great service. Car looks fantastic, inside and out!

The people working here are very friendly and helpful. Ive had a tire patched, state inspection, and oil changes done here. They also helped when one of my tires had an issue. Would recommend!

Needed to bring my Civic Hybrid in for service. Tony was extremely helpful, explained all costs up front.Had them install (4) new brakes and rotors, flush the brake system, mount and install 4 new tires.All work done on time as promised, actually took less time than expected. Great guys to work with and will definitely be bringing all my vehicles in to them.

We had to take our van in for maintenance after our daughter slid during a recent storm and bent the tie rods. The technicians at Mainstreet took care of everything from tow to delivery keeping me informed at each step. I had some other maintenance concerns but instead of charging me to fix them they let me know the parts were in good shape. Glad I found them and will certainly be back for our routine maintenance needs.
