I recently had to have some warranty work done and it was great! Brandon was sent out from Sunset Spas and arrived on time and worked efficiently. Very friendly and did great work! Very impressed with the service provided.

I have been working with Dave for over a year on the hot tub I purchased. He gave us an amazing deal and anytime I have a question, he sends someone out to chat with me. A great product with great follow up service to match.

We bought a spa almost two years ago. The jets had to be replaced after maybe 8 months. It took over 2 months to get it fixed. Then about six months later most of the jets have stopped working. Multiple calls to warranty over the last six weeks and I can’t get Pete to contact me to return the spa to him for a refund or even discuss the issue. I am surprised they don’t stand by their warranty. We had such a good experience In the beginning.

Purchased Vita Grand on 1/1/21 from Chandler, AZ store.. Paperwork indicated March delivery.  Never received any status calls, and when I called for status in mid-February, I was told it was not ready yet and to call back in March.  Called in March, still not ready and no reason provided.  Finally delivered 4/14/21.  Had to call to remind them they promised an extra box of chemicals.  No follow-up call from sales to see if everything met expectations.  Today is 6/3/21, and Ive called and left voice messages for the sales rep three times since 4/15/21 because I wanted to purchase a hydraulic cover lift and no return call.  I called the store and no one answers and cant leave a message.  I called the number on the email with the link to a survey I received and no one answers.  I had to drain the hot tub after 3 uses because it was so cloudy and yes I added all of the necessary chemicals and added sanitizer after each use.  Overall, very unprofessional experience given the $10k purchase price. Note, Sunset Spas is a middle man, they do not manufacture, service or deliver Spas.

We spontaneously stopped into Sunset Spas in Tucson, AZ in early February 2021. Dave the sales person was great! We checked out many spas and after discussing, we went back the next day and placed our order. We were told it would be delivered in May. We received an email in May saying it would be further delayed due to having a hard time getting parts/supplies to build AND so many orders. I hope its not TOO much longer to get it. The back yard is ready (pad is in, surrounding landscaping is done) Will do a follow-up review once delivered.

We loved this place so much, we sold our house with the new spa, moved and ordered another spa from this same company, 2yrs later. Problem is, the long time wait due to COVID, or otherwise. We are hoping that our loyalty to this company, and spending alot of money on another spa, wont keep us on the back burner much longer. This review is about our sales experience, and will be updated upon delivery, installation and use. That being said, we initially went to the place across the street, and being treated as rudely as we were, we came across Sunset Spas on the way back to the freeway. We were instantly greeted by both salespeople (even though they were with customers). Right away, felt at acknowledged. we walked around for a few minutes while others were being helped, then the sales manager came over to us, asked us a few questions (we have very specific requirements for the spa we wanted), he showed us two models, a special order, and an in stock. We went with the special order, at which point we mentioned that we were meeting someone for lunch. He told us it would take 10 minutes to place the order, we were out of their in 10 minutes. So happy with the way we were treated, with the available models they had, and all of the options we could customize. Well earned 5 stars!!!

Outstanding product and customer service! Mitch took the time to help us (first time spa buyers) and went above and beyond when we had a few electrical issues on our end. He made sure we were able to get everything set-up and even walked us through a quick start-up, as well as offering to send someone over to show us all the bells and whistles and maintenance tricks that we were unable to do when it was first installed due to the electrical issues. We really appreciate Mitch and may have to just stop in to say hello now and then :)

Want to say Kris is an amazing sales rep at sunset. Huge knowledge and very patient. We went to 3 different companies and did several wet tests. We ended up with the Vita spa Grand hot tub. We are super excited and feel the brands at sunset are the best, made in America products. Save yourself the time and start here, happy shopping and good luck.

Here are the details of my experience purchasing a spa from Sunset Spa’s:PRO’s:- Knowledgeable sales people- Large selection- Fair prices- Easy to do business with- Super fast delivery. Purchased on Saturday and they delivered it on Monday. Of course the SPA we selected was in stock, not back ordered.- The true test of a company is how they handle issues. We had an issue with the installation. Which they corrected the next day. Made a special trip out to our house to fix the issue.CON’s:- Make sure your site and electrical is ready when the installers arrive. The installers aren’t electricians so they can only connect service that is up to code. In my case the electrical whip was too short. Despite my electrician being on site the installers couldn’t wait for the electrician to replace the whip. They had to leave before the spa could be reassembled. The next day sunset sent someone out to make everything right.It’s been about almost a month since our new spa arrived. We are very happy with both the Spa and the buying experience. The installation wasn’t picture perfect but all was made right quickly.

Came in here after an awful experience at Desert Hot Tubs (right across the street). Worked with an awesome/knowledgeable salesman and made a purchase within 30 minutes! This is the place to go if you want an honest and easy transaction. We will have our new spa in just two months! Woohoo :)

UPDATE: the owner contacted me today, which means a lot, and said he would take care of the problem and said would look into issues that I had.First let me say that the buying and Delivery and set up were great are 5 stars, but warranty is one star. Now, moving forward i have few cracks that were pointed out to me and the spa is under warranty. i contacted the repair place and they forward it to Sunset spa owner and he said that the cracks were sun damaged. I had a cover on it sense day one and it sits in the shade most of the day... So much for standing by your product.

Got one great deal

I put down money on a spa in April, at that time Mitch indicated they were in stock and that all we needed to do was call when we had our closing date on our house and it could be delivered immediately. At the end of July we notified then of our 9/11 close date and then the story changed. Besides not returning our calls and making promises that kept changing he once again tried to tell another story so we asked for our money back.

Great customer service

We were excited as we finally been able to go shopping for jacuzzi. This quickly changed after a few steps into this store. No matter whats the news positive shopping experience is must in sales industry. Instead of welcome how can I help you..first question was how long did the competitor said their delivery will take. We both looked at eachother as this was first store we went to. The very next thing while we were looking at the jacuzzi that was also a pool was: they dont even make these anymore. At that point the sales persons negative discouraged me from buying jacuzzi at this store all together.We all know these are hard times we living in due to Covid-19. If somebody decides to do something like purchasing relaxing spa...its propably to get away from the negativity, not the other way around

We didnt know where to go to buy a spa, so I asked a friend who works for a spa repair company and he immediately said to go to Sunset Spas and to look at the Joli 500 series twin pump spa. We went into Sunset Spas on Bell Road and looked at the Joli 500 series. It was perfect for our needs. Mark Lifpitz, our salesman, helped us, referred us to an electrician, and arranged for delivery of the spa. The entire process was effortless, and now we are enjoying our spa. Thank you Sunset Spas!

Warning: Most terrible customer service ever! No one answers the phone! The sales men are terrible, once they have your money they don’t answer your phone calls or text. Buyers beware!

I am extremely dissatisfied with their customer service. I purchased a brand new spa in April of 2019 and in January of this year the panels started to bubble out. I contacted Pete and said he will call back when the new panels arrive, he said it would take a month. Then the coronavirus happened. In March of this year the spa stopped working and I called them and they say that they were backed up because of the coronavirus and they were trying to catch up. Ok, understandable.... one of the problems is that I live in Payson and I was never told that there will be a charge for mileage to come and service the spa. I have called SEVERAL times. My sons 21st B-day is the 18th of June and we are having a big party for him on the 21st. I am very upset with their customer service and I will not recommend them. Customers satisfaction makes or brake a business.

Dawn showed us what was available in their showroom. She knows every detail about Spas. When we decided on a model, color and options, she wrote everything down that we were getting and went over in detail so that there would be no surprises. Everything was very clear as to financing, delivery time and what was needed to be done for electrical hookup. The electrician performed the hookup in a timely manner. Recommend using their electrician.Delivery was 4 days ahead of schedule. We bought our Sunset Spa at the home show back in March. Our spa was delivered after construction time with meticulous care. It was exactly as described and ordered, easy to set up and we were enjoying our spa within days of delivery. Dave (over the phone) was very helpful getting us educated on the proper use of chemicals and the overall operation of the spa and explained it like he was right there. We had an emergency yesterday and the care, concern and assurance provided by both Dave and Rich were unmatched. They walked us through the steps and everything turned out as they had stated. Bought a spa from these guys about a year and a half ago and it recently got a minor leak. It was still under warranty but I was expecting a hassle getting it fixed, like pulling teeth. You know how some warranties can be...anyway, this was the opposite experience. They were super nice and had it fixed within a week, 100% covered. I liked that they could come fix it while I was at work, without me needing to be home. They also cleaned up after themselves and refilled the tub for me. Thanks broskis!

My husband and I decided to put in a hot tub. We tried a couple of other dealers, but they were very high pressure and gave us the feeling we were dealing with con artists. Then we found Sunset Spas, they were very patient with us, listened, and answered every question we could have.and they gave us a great deal on a Maax Spa. We never felt pressured, and they didnt try to hard sell us. They even gave us a class in how to take care of our hot tub. If you need a spa and hot tub dealer, they get my vote for sure. We bought a used spa here in 2012 and got a great deal. When we moved from Chandler, we even moved it with us to Ahwatukee, which required a huge crane. So on the sales side, we were very happy. Service, however, is terrible. We currently have a slow leak and they have simply ignored multiple calls for service over several weeks. Luckily, we have a home warranty that includes our pool and spa. When its time for a new spa, we will look elsewhere.

We purchased a VITA Spa about 2.5 years ago from Sunset Spas. Back then, we bounced from place to place in the central and east valley, but, kept coming back to Sunset Spas because their sales reps seemed real and the information they relayed to us as buyers to appear honest. We were happy with the overall sales experience - delivery was easy and they even worked to get the hot tub installed on our timeline before Christmas but after we had a new paver patio installed for it to set on (which from purchase to delivery was less than two weeks).Fast forward almost two years later and the entire hot tub appeared to be causing the electrical circuit to blow. After an electrician was able to identify it likely to be with the hot tub itself, we had the warranty folks come out to look at it. The blower for the champagne bubbles kept tripping, causing the entire system to trip. So, they replaced the blower at no cost (under warranty). A few days later, the same thing happened - the circuit kept tripping.To make a long story short, it was determined that it wasnt actually the blower that was at fault, but, a micro-crack in the shell of the hot tub itself, which was causing water to drop onto the blower, causing it to trip the circuit. We unplugged the blower (inside the hot tub housing) and there were no issues using the rest of the hot tub. Of course - weve never seen something like this, the shell is never the issue, but, I can clearly see a micro-crack, the rep said.While it did take about three months and some continuous reminders on my end (and I think the original warranty employee I had been talking to had left the company), Sunset/Vita/MAXX ended up replacing the entire hot tub. From a 2016 model to a new 2018 model - and this was not something I had requested. They admitted to it likely be a manufacturing mistake and wanted to inspect the original hot tub to learn from their mistakes and improve. I was impressed by this approach - both from a customer service standpoint as well as the fact that the company wanted to learn from a mistake rather than run from it.I would 100% recommend MAXX/Vita as well as Sunset Spas!

The quality of the hot tub is excellent ( Vita Envie ). All people we have dealt with at Sunset Spa have been very helpful. Dave the owner spent the time with us to answer any questions or problems we had.Three days after the spa startup the second pump failed. We phoned on a Friday afternoon. Within an hour a technician was at our house and discovered it was in fact a failed pump.A new pump was ordered and installed by Monday afternoon.We were still able to the spa with the one pump for the weekend. We are very happy with the quick response to our problem and the quick installation of the new pump.Unable to remember the technicians name,but he acted in a very professional manner through the whole repair process.With the quality of the spa,their response to our pump replacement and after market service we will recommend this company to our friends and would be happy to buy from them again!!!
