3-4 years ago, when I bought the spa, this company came highly recommended. Today, not so much and if you go through the reviews, you can find similar situations wherein a customer in good faith calls the company to get service to the equipment and is just ignored. I have made multiple calls to the company with no response. The original local retailer I purchased from is no longer in business. All I need is information on where to find a local retailer to assist with the problem and apparently that is simply too much for MAAX to provide. My word of advice (and will happily update if/when MAAX finally decides to take or return my call)--this is not the same company from 3-4 years ago; AVOID PURCHASING FROM THEM, AS THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THE PRODUCT AFTER SALE.AS AN UPDATE--MAAX Spas took my call this morning, I explained the situation, they provided information that assists me in finding the real service provider for my area and I can now proceed with getting that support. Special thanks to Terry for his assistance. It is greatly appreciated.

Very pleased with the products and the quality of materials. I love the fact they are appliance grade and I can make the tub just like new 10 years down the road. NO FOAM IS AMAZING and it hold the temp well and does not cost me a fortune to run. Would prefer a couple more holes in the bottom on each corner for running power.

I have been a hot tub technician for 9 years. I have worked on countless different brands of spas over the years. The tubs MAAX builds are superior to any of the other manufactures I have seen. The average life a hot tub is about 10 years; that is when the plumbing is chemically damaged to the point that it will all need to be replaced. With the use of a denim insulation with a radiant barrier, you can actually access all of the plumbing easily. What was once a $2000+ repair is only about a $300 repair. It is great being able to tell my customers that this is the last hot tub that they will ever need to buy. They are also one of the only manufactures that are built in the USA.

Tubs are great quality and compares to Sundance, Oasis, Bullfrog. I love the fact that they dont spend money on advertising which does not get put back on the tub price. So if I do my job right I can get a customer into a great tub at a lower price then most of the others. Very few complaints and 95% are because someone goes into the settings and changes things they should not be playing with. Make the panels a clip on vs screw on and the tub would be perfect.

Delivering their spas for 2 years and moving into the technical end of the spectrum. I cant say enough about the technician assistance and classes that they have set up. The spas are reliable and dependable.

Maax spas are great. Find a dealer to help you out as this is not hot tub store, but manufacturering plant.The brand itself I like because the parts later, as my tub is 5 years old now, I can buy anywhere and they are pretty common and not too expensive. Easy to get at the parts too.

We have tried to contact them several times to get support or to find an authorized repairer or service center but no returns after several attempts. They ignore all of our messages. This company is no longer what it once was. Never again will we buy a MAAX product.

I was at a showroom in Amarillo Texas and looked at several American whirlpool and vita spas. I am very impressed with the metal insulation and framing with these two companies. Maax is producing some great tubs!! Going back next week to pick up a vita spa. Keep up the good work Maax!!!

Bought a SPA Elite 4400 in 2016, after only 3 seasons since it is close during winter time, all the jets start popping out from insertion whole, the plastic from jets is weak and worned out. Even MAAX reps told me it was a known issue and theyve change the plastic since. I asked MAAX to simply send me the replacement diffuser so I can replace them myself which they refuse. Now, I have to buy 45 replacement jets at 20-30$ each.

I love my new Vita spa, but I cant get the dealer, Maxx spas or anyone to help me figure how to navigate the settings on the control panel. The manual is totally inadequate. Ive called Maxx spas who wont help me because they only work with dealers. My dealer has no idea how to use the control panel so I am just plain stuck! Nelson

I own a 2008 Maax Elite and love it! A couple yrs ago I had a broken screen on the return water in the bottom of the spa. I called Maxx and theyd changed the part I needed but he was kind enough to send me the entire unit so I could make the new screen work on my older model. All at no charge! I love Maxx and their employees!!

Tried to get a hold of Max spas. Good luck. Just had simple question. Lady hung up when i asked her name. Spa goes to pr when turned on then EC. Cant get off Ec. Not happy. Very difficult to get a hold of!! Would highly recommend not to buy!!!

As a dealer who has been carrying maax spas for several years I am impressed with the tubs. I also have to do repairs on the tub and since it is appliance grade the vast majority of fixes are plug and play. Top notch training program and the techs at the company are amazing. No as a home owner they wont talk to you. The reason they deal only with dealers is so the tub gets fixed back to new condition not get more screwed up when you scratch a board or forget to open a slice valve lol. In extreme cold in the north where we are from I have actually witnessed a failed heater(CUSTOMER CHEMICAL PROBLEM NOT THE PART) cause a tub to sit out for 4 days and the water temp only dropped to 64 degrees in below zero temps.

We bought our second Hot tub in 2015 from Liverpool pool and Spas. Within the first 6 months my husband couldn’t get the water right so he went to Liverpool and they told him it was white mold. Then they told him that the company tested these hot tubs and never drained them properly so it caused some hot tubs to have white mold. But then told my husband that we couldn’t do anything about it because Max Spas would say that it was the hose we used to fill it? So we did nothing. Everytime my husband went with a water sample we had to pay $100 for a small jar of the chemical to get rid of it. Now remember this was not our first hot tub. My husband takes very good care of ours. We use it almost every night. A year later after spending a lot of money on chemicals I called Max Spas. So I called and talked to someone in the wrong Department that confirmed the story about the white mold. Told me I had rights and I thought she put my complaint in? As time went on I had a few surgeries so I didn’t follow thru calling back. Then I did call back and Spoke to Kim. She told me to get receipts together , Liverpool doesn’t keep a record of sales? But we did get copies from Tarsons Pools. I submitted my letter with receipts and we paid $100 many times from Tarsons. Kim said she contacted Liverpool and they came out. We never heard anything and I continue to pay all this money and watch my husband bust his butt cleaning our Hot Tub. Recently the main Board cost us $700 also Speakers keep blowing. I’m so frustrated with this situation. I’m going to ask a Lawyer what our rights are. I would never buy another Hot tub from Max Spas again.

Waterworks Pool & Spa here in Asheville has been selling the quality Maax line since the late 1990s and we have been always been blown away by their attention to detail and the fit and finish of their spas. Maax has always supported our efforts towards our goal of total customer satisfaction.

In the past the technical people at Maax have been helpful . They now have a new policy and wont talk to a customer only a authorized dealeer. My dealer is one of their chosen so they wont talk to him. My new policy is not to buy a Maax product and you would be wise to do the same

Had an issue with my Hot Tub that should be covered under warranty. I was told by Maxx Spas that because I dont have the original paperwork and the business I original purchased the spa from went out of business, even though I am the original owner with and have the S/N, they wont cover the repair. So much for a life time warranty on the Spa Shell... I would shop elsewhere

I would strongly recommend agaainst purchasing a Maax Spa. We have had ours for 4 years, and have had a number of problems. While it is under warrantee, every time it breaks down, we have to pay a technician to come and fix. We have spent over $500 so far, and are awaiting another visit. Another problem is that the factory does not have a full selection of spare parts. They had to order parts from their vendor, and our hot tub has been down for over a month. We live in a cold climate, and fear that our tub will freeze up soon if we cannot get parts. Another lesson in “you get what you pay for”. Avoid this company.
