PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING WITH BUDGET.Not a warm welcome to say the least. The attendant looked at me like was trying to rob a bank. Profiling possibly?I pre-paid for the car online. However they ran a credit check in store and denied me, in spite the fact that I had the deposit available on a debit card. Apparently this is policy. But It makes me wonder if this is one of those “situational” judgment calls that could have been handled differently. My advice? Use Enterprise (they gave me a 60 percent discount).

I had an great experience. I had to rent a car for the weekend, last minute. I was supposed to return the car on Sunday but didn’t think to check on closing time. I had to bring it back the next morning. They didn’t charge me and I was definitely expecting it. They were professional, nice and very helpful. I’ll definitely use them again. Thank you.

Moving is stressful and expensive and you need reliable services to make sure it goes smoothly, this particular team / company does not offer you that.We used this company for moving from Chandler to San Diego because they had a car trailer. We wanted to go with UHaul because they were less expensive but they were out of car trailers and it was important for us to be able to move all our vehicles in one move because we wouldnt be able to go back for a month after the move. When we arrived at Budget they didnt have a trailer for us, despite our reservation. This caused us to have to pay for parking for our vehicle to sit drive for a month and the 12 hours it would take to drive back and forth to Chandler. When these costs are taken into consideration this nearly doubled the cost of rental and we have therefore ask for a full refund.They also gave us a truck with no walk through. It was dirty and sticky but we had to get on the road and they were closing up shop, practically pushing customers out the door. When we got to San Diego that staff was friendly and sympathetic and they told us that they would have to charge us a cleaning fee for how gross it was on the inside but if the Chandler location really didnt do any walk through, we would get that money back.Its been nearly 6 weeks, 7 emails to customer service, 2 responses, and an offer to refund $50.00 of a $500+ rental...

Not bad. Easy to find, although if you are not paying attention, you could turn into the lot next door for J.D. Byryder. I like that you can use a debit card(most wont let you when picking up or reserving) but they told me the deposit they hold was100 dollars less than I had to pay in person. Otherwise not bad

Excellent Customer Service! Mike is a pleasure to work with. I always make sure to call Mike at Budget Car Rental in Chandler when I need a rental. I always receive the best service!

They were very nice and really helped me. I needed to swap vehicles and they made it happen. Hats off to great customer service.

I suspect that the person that checked me in switched the drop off time ½ later so that I would go over the 24hr period and incur an additional day charge of $50 something dollars. He said he had no idea what the charge was for and had never seen it. I questioned him on the return time which showed 11:30am and asked him to correct it to 11am and when he did, the additional charge disappeared. I booked 11am pick up and 11 am drop off originally. My guess is that the person checking me in switched the time. Car was not clean but the price was right and the workers were friendly.

Mike always gets the job done , he’s very knowledgeable about the system he works with & he’s always getting people in & out. The place is always packed & the cars are always out of stock so I’m very puzzled by the reviews. But long paragraph short. Mike is definitely the guy to get the job done when it comes to getting a reliable vehicle either on budget or Avis 💪🏼. I’ll definitely be returning . ( There’s another loser there that works PT & he’s an idiot when it comes to the rentals & finding the agreements or anything for that matter )

Got a call one hour before pick up to tell me they don’t have my truck, did not want to call any other location and tells me I need to call. I did call and they gave me a 15 minute to 2 hour call back window. Will go to U-Haul across the street.

Gave us a car that was not even looked over it was dirty , leaking fluids, turned off on us twice had to go to the airport to exchange for something decent. Not a good selection on car rentals. Would not recommend this place. Told me to clean the car myself!

I showed up late. My bad. The guy Andrew held the door tight so I couldn’t open the door and he snapped we’re closed. I paid in full online. He took my card and license, I asked what am I paying for and he said “nothing” since u paid in full. But $100 was debited. And when I drove off the car was dusty and the maintenance light was on. Turned back and the guy was gone. Never will I rent here again. Andrew it’s Budget Car Rental not Hoodrat Rental. --

I wanted to leave a good review here because I thought about not going here after I read the reviews about this andrew guy . Anyways I walked in today to see a gentleman helping a Customer very respectful, courteous, and respectful . So I had to ask whats your name he said Michael with smile and asked if he could help me . I went ahead and continued with my rental. But before i left i had to ask if andrew was around he told me that andrew is working somewhere esle and that he is here off and on now . I explained all the bad reviews on him . He apologized for him and said that they are making new changes here and that Customer service is number 1. That made me feel good . The car was clean, vacuumed, washed , and sanitized. I waited a minute and watched the outside guy by the way his name is Xavier wash , vacuum , and sanitize the car he was working. I pulled up and offered him a bottle water that I had in my ice cest. He gladly thanked me and I thanked him for working so hard . So for everyone reading about Andrew he isnt the only one that works here .

I wanted to give a great review for our new rental car place . My husband and I usually rent from enterprise down the street but after a mix up on thier part they didnt have a car for us . So I called this place and spoke to michael he said he did in fact have a car for us and gave us a better deal than we had with enterprise. So my husband and i went right over low and behold it was very busy . Michael , Jessica, and Xavier were all so busy and even thoe they had so many customers they were still smiling and working as fast as they could to get everyone token care of . We returned our car today to see michael was alone and still very busy but still made us feel good about or rental . He thanked us and wished us agreat day . I asked where his co workers were and he said they were working another location. Even thoe our trip was short I diffnely will continue to use this place in the future and highly recommend it .

I had turned in my vehicle on time as scheduled to the guy with the tattoo on his neck, but some how got a charge on my card for a second day so I called customer service I was told it wasnt logged in until 2 hours later than the scheduled time but I had proof (video I took with time and full gas tank) and the time my uber picked me up from budget. luckily I got refunded..its been known this location leaves cars running after theyve been dropped off..I also noticed other rental places have a coffee and tea station up front in the lobby for customers this location for some reason has it in the managers office. Just an overall bad experience.Edit: 0⭐s

VERY disappointed in Budget, in general, and in the Knox and Arizona Ave location, specifically. We rented a van recently and kept getting upcharged, resulting in an extra $150.00 we had to pay on top of the price we were promised through Amazon. The first person encountered was incompetent and apparently didnt know what he was doing or talking about. BEWARE...in trying to be on time, we arrived at Budget 30 min early and we were charged an extra day because it was not within the a29 minute grace period. Next, the receipt/price confirmation provided was handwritten due to the printer not working. This was topped off by Andrew finally explaining the unnecessary charges, telling us the first guy didnt give us the correct information and that he (Andrew) was on vacation during this whole fiasco (how is that our problem???). We will not be using this Budget nor Amazon rental service again. Hopefully, they will put the money they gouged from us to good use and buy a new printer/fax machine...

Andrew is the worst manager rude uses profanity like its ok blames the female who works there whom I found very helpful, polite,and actually gives every customer her full attention DIDNT use bad words and made sure the vehicle was to our satisfaction. And what kind of manager talks poorly about another employee. Not professional at all. I would never have someone like him manage my store. OH AND HE LIES ABOUT THE TRUCK PRICES CHARGES FOR EXTRA STUFF ALL TO GET A SALE

I was 4 minutes early picking up the vehicle and they charged me an extra day without telling me. When I realized it, it was already too late. I was not impressed with the process one bit.

It turned out to be very affordable car rental service. It has a very good fleet but, sometimes it takes a while to checkout because of some old printers at their office but, they will compensate it.

Never again will I rent from this place the van we got because they didn’t have the car that initially reserved was beyond filthy disgusting we had to take it to car wash and clean inside and out as well as sanitize it ourself on our receipts said sanitized which was bull because how they going to sanitize a filthy van and sanitize around the mess like really

I usually rent from this location several times a year but after this last rental I will NOT be returning. The new store manager Terrence is rude and unprofessional. He also charged me double what the daily rate was. The vehicle was disgusting hadnt been washed or cleaned out from the previous rental. When I returned the car there was a long line so the gentleman working behind the counter asked If I was dropping off. I said yes and gave him the keys. 2 hours later I get a text that my rental had been checked in and returned. They charged an additional fee for a late drop off. I just spent an hour on the phone with customer service getting everything refunded.

When I picked up my rental car at this location the car was dirty inside and out and sustained multiple dents on the exterior. Near the end of my trip I stopped at a light and an open bottle of vodka slid out from under the seat. When I returned the car I let the man at the front desk know about this. He was extremely rude - blaming the woman who rented me the car for being a terrible employee, asked me not to call customer service so he wouldnt get in trouble, and told me there was nothing he could do. This rental facility is full of dirty, poorly maintained cars and rude employees.

Went to Budget because Enterprise (the company I usually use) wanted to charge me $250 to drive 7 hours on a one way rental taking one day.....unbelievable! Budget saved me $100 ,although $150, in my opinion, is still to much.
