I lived in The Hickory for two years, from 2019-2021, and it was a great experience. Maintenance calls were answered quickly, there were no weird or unexpected fees, and utility bills were low, even with big windows and high ceilings. I was really grateful for the robust internet and generous square footage when the pandemic happened and I had to spend so much time at home. The apartment was a great value for the money, and I cant recommend this building and landlord enough.

I rented an apartment in The Hickory building from Mr. Markstahler with RDI properties for multiple years. I loved the apartment and the renting experience with RDI. Excellent location in downtown Champaign. My apartment had an open floor plan living area with updated appliances, a tankless water heater, and high-speed internet for no extra charge. Walls are well insulated from noise from adjacent apartments.Mr. Markstahler really cares about his properties and his tenants. He is very responsive to maintenance issues and seeks input from tenants on ways to improve the living experience in the building. Everything is handled very professionally. The other tenants in the building are polite and neighborly in my experience. I would highly recommend renting at The Hickory.

Love the owners! They are wonderful landlords and great to work with. Highly recommend RDI over other companies in town.
