These aint your grannys appliances...nowadays you need a warranty or a plan to replace them at the frequency of a smart phone. So far this has been a helpful thing to have and I appreciate the service. Emails and text messages kept me abreast of the schedule and it was great to see the technician ahead of schedule. Very unhappy with the cost of repairing a kenmore refrigerator. The sears serviceman took about 5-10 minutes to clean a drain tube, and charged $350. Sears was a great company at one time, but are a scam now. Beware of the crooks!

Technician came out and diagnosed concern on Tuesday June 15th, ordered part and was told part would be in on Thursday June 17th and he would return on Friday June 18th to install. That did not happen. I received several messages both text and email reminding me of my parts delays but stating my technician appointment still existed and reflected back to original date of June 15th for install. Needless to say after waiting and waiting a different technician came to install part that finally showed around July 21st and installed August 2nd. Concern was resolved and working correctly. Door for filter that was originally gray(matching other components is now white) hidden but incorrect. Im not confident that correct parts were ordered. Working fine now. Well see how it works. Not sure that I would trust/use Sears repairs again. And last but not least I paid close to $500.00 for this repair up front. Not a good practice.

I had my lawn mower serviced on Mar 29. The technician explained what its going to take and perform it in a timely manner. I got my oil changed, blades replaced, spark plug replaced, tires checked, deck balanced, choke adjusted. Runs like its almost new. I had the mower for over ten years now.

Sears and my home warranty company (Home Protect) have been horrible to deal with. Sears was contracted out but my home warranty company to troubleshoot a leak in my ceiling which I was told was an air conditioning issue. Sears techinician takes a $60 deductible via check from me to tell me there’s nothing they can do because it’s probably a plumbing issue. $60 for less than 6 minutes in my house. Months later I receive a bill from Sears for $100 service visit. I cannot reach anybody, no real person online or by phone. I write them a letter (yes an actual letter) as instructed on the bill explaining the situation. O well they say, you still owe us $100 or the bill will go to collections. Ok, so what about the $60 I paid your technician. I don’t advise anyone to deal with Sears home services or Home Protect home warranty. I will not be using either company again. I don’t have money to just thrown away.

Sears was very courteous and very punctual. Our dryer was repaired and is in perfect working condition now. Our washer check up was cancelled; hoping there wont be a trip charge since Sears is the once that cancelled the appointment at the time the dryer was being repaired because it would put the tech into overtime. Otherwise, the tech was very professional and knowledgeable about the repair. I would recommend Sears for repairs.

Frustrating, and time consuming. The first appointment the tech came early and I was not home (app. was for 1-5 and he came at 12:25.) The second appointment the tech did not come. The third app the Tech did a good job installing the part but left the machine unplugged inside,The next tech came and plugged in the connection . I am reporting this by memory and cant remember if it was 3 or 4 times I spent waiting 4 hours looking our of the window for a repair man. Plus there were days wasted between each appointment. In the meanwhile our laundry piled up.I cant determine how to mark the stars so I will give it a two out of five as good. The work was good but not getting some one here. Your system seems logical but breaks down in working. I dont know if or when I will get involved with Sears again though I HAVE been involved since the 1940s starting with blue jeans and shoes.This one has been a frustrating experience, Part of the frustration has been with understanding the dialect of phone operator who have come from other countries. Is this enough?

The policy in itself is great to have! It has always covered the A.C. system as promised. However, the 2 week waiting period for a tech to come out is absolutely ridiculous!! 3 service calls over the last several years & EVERY TIME the waiting period is a minimum of 2 weeks! That being said, they do offer reimbursement for alternative cooling options such as a window unit or providing a hotel stay for the duration of waiting period

Appointment scheduled within a few days. Repair guy called and gave me an hour notice he would be at the house. Answered my questions and was excellent to work with! Only issue I would say is by my description of the problem the repair guy knew he needed a part, to save everyone time I feel like the part should have been available to him before he arrived instead of having to wait a week for it to come in and him come all the way back. Not the repair guys fault in anyway.

This was definitely a 5 star service!!!! This tech had to come in and re install my pump/motor on my dishwasher. The tech before put it in wrong and left,saying, it is working! :/ I love sears appliances but the wait time on your service plan SUCKS!!!! I was without a dishwasher for 6-7 weeks! Waiting waiting on you to send someone to fix it. This last tech that came knew what he was doing!! I would give him a 10 star if I could. I finally have my dishwasher again!!

I was very pleased with Conrad, the service technician that came to my house. He was able to fix my problem on my refrigerator. He was very professional and thorough. He explained everything to me. Amazingly he had a new one in and in no time told me its all done and my my washer which I call Shirley was happy to be standing next to Laverne (my dryer) and ready to get back to work. Sears still has not repaired my washing machine. My washing machine has been down for 4 weeks now and will be 5 weeks next week The last service call on May 3 resulted in my laundry room and wood floors being flooded...now I have streaked wood floors. I was told by Sears claim department it could be up to 2 months to get claimed resolved but if I wanted a faster resolution I could file a claim on my homeowners insurance. I will not ever buy anything else from Sears!

Overseas call center is absolutely horrible! They read from a script, can barely speak English, and they are extremely rude. The service technician is nice, but Ive had to have him at my home on 4 different occasions for the same issue. The repair price charged by Sears is astronomical. Its insane to pay such a high diagnostic fee on top of labor and parts charges. It shouldnt cost $229.00 to replace an $11 part that takes less than 20 minutes to install. If customer service was a priority and prices were fair, maybe Sears would not be in bankruptcy.

Good experience. My repairman went out of his way to get a part for my dryer and fixed it promptly. He didnt have to do this because Sears says that the part would be on his truck, but it wasnt. He found a repairman who had the part, went to meet him to get the part, returned and fixed my dryer. His name is Shawn.

The technician checked the machine with a gadget in a short amount of time. I asked him if he would run a cycle and he said he didnt need to because if something was wrong it would show up. I told him the machine usually turns off after an hour. He said he could not find anything wrong so my warranty wouldnt cover the repair. I put a load of dishes in and at one hour the machine turned off showing a heater error. Definitely a waste of my time and money.

Repair was supposed to be done on Friday but I received a call from someone at 1:30 pm that the technician would not be here until Monday. Technician found the problem and had it fixed in about 30 minutes. He had to solder a broken wire. The cost of the repair was $300.00. I will try someone else next time!

Two technicians came [at different times] and completed yearly check ups on five appliances. One tech for the freezer, the other for a washer, dryer, oven, and dishwasher. We were kept up to date on anticipated arrivals; both came within the window of time scheduled. Each had been to our home for a similar check up last year and remembered us and what was done the year before.....very reassuring to see continuity of service technicians. They each made suggestions about more effective use of an appliance, did the routine maintenance, and one ordered a part to correct an issue on the dishwasher. They were pleasant, had what was needed to provide service on their truck. The entire process was completed in less than three hours. HOWEVER, A problem with our dishwasher two weeks later deserves less than one star....have not had an opportunity to report on that experience!

Worst customer service I have ever had. Took a week for them to show up,took another week after they ordered parts we did not need, worked on dryer then left with clasps put in backwards and machine falling apart,wanted to come back a week later to fix that. Call center would not let me talk to a supervisor. I hat to get someone else to fix my appliance.Used to be a loyal Sears customer,no more. Will never shop there again

One of the biggest rip offs ever!! We bought a new side by side within the last year and a couple of months ago the water and ice feature stopped working. I requested service and communicated this problem. I knew there was a minimum service call but when the technician came all he had to do was push a couple of buttons to correct the problem. And for that we paid almost $300.00!!!!

Technician did not show up on October 17th and we waited all day with no call that they were not coming. Had we not called the repair line and gotten a real person we would not have known it was a no show. Very unhappy.Technician replaced a part on October 24th but that did not fix the problem. Determined it would take two technicians to replace the parts that had been delivered in September but never used. Another appointment had to be made. Tired of going to the laundromat.Two technicians showed up on October 31st as planned. They replaced the parts that were on hand and the wash machine appears to be working correctly. It has been a long two months. Thank you Jason and Cory.

After 2 service calls and almost a month, I still do not have a working freezer. The repairman was sarcastic, insulting and did not repair the problem. At the end of the 2nd visit I was told I would be contacted by Sears for a replacement product within 10 business days. 2 weeks later I have still not been contacted and have been on the phone for an hour trying to resolve the issue. I am still holding....I have been very pleased with Sears products and service in the past, but this has not been acceptable at all. I will certainly hesitate before I purchase another Sears product.

The service tech. were outstanding both of them( 5 star). first tech found the glue in the fly wheel had failed and the magnets had fallen and jam preventing the engine to turn over this was May 30th. the parts came within 2 Days after ordering(5 star). but had to wait until Jun 20 to get service tech back out.(1 star)Overall I was unable to use the lawn mower for over 6 weeks. Although the technician was very nice...I was under the impression that he would diagnose the issue correctly and then give us the choice of whether or not to go ahead with the repair. We had a suspicion from the beginning that the issue was the mother board - a $400 part - which we would not have chosen to fix and would have gladly paid the money for the service call $79. However, he misdiagnosed the issue a much cheaper part and repair - repaired it without asking - a $200 repair. After he left I ran a load, 30 minutes after he left. The machine completely stopped working - only clicked locked and unlocked. When I contacted the service department on the phone, she didnt speak English very well, but made it clear that if there was something else wrong with the machine we would not only have to pay for the additional repair but the second service call. We bought a new machine...perhaps this is the plan - intended obsolescence.

I have been having intermittent issues with my ice maker not making ice and the water flowing out the back of my refrigerator. This issue had corrected itself by the time the repairmen came, as it had done before, so they performed an annual checkup/preventive maintenance of the refrigerator and also adjusted the water line to the ice maker. A day later I noticed the ice maker and ice container had turned into a frozen iceberg and continued to grow bigger as water continued to flow into the ice maker even though I turned the ice maker off. When I called Sears to send the repairman back to correct a problem they created, I could not get an appointment until five days later, even though the refrigerator is covered by a Sears maintenance agreement. My appointment is tomorrow, May 16th, and my ice maker is still an iceberg and has been unusable since May 11th. I expected better response under the Master Protection Agreement, especially for a problem created by a prior service.

Clothes were wrapping around the agitator of our Kenmore washer. Water all over the floor as a result. We made an appointment to have it repaired. An entire day must be set aside (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Repairman did come before 10:00 a.m. and replaced a worn out part on the agitator. However, a few days later, with only 4 regular sized pieces of clothes in the machine, we get water all over the floor again. A new appointment scheduled, but I cant wash for a week. This Kenmore washer and dryer are the absolute WORST appliances weve EVER owned! They are supposed to be energy efficient but they absolutely are not! I will NEVER buy this brand again!Update: Im taking away one of the two stars I gave because I got a call this evening regarding the repair job of my washer to see if it was to my satisfaction. I said, As a matter of fact, no. Caller quickly stated that he saw an appointment had been made for Sears to come back out. I said I was aware, I had scheduled it. No other information was taken about the work still needing to be done on my washing machine. In my opinion, the caller was not very interested in hearing what was still wrong with the washer. Dont even understand why he called in the first place.Update: 8/7/17: Washer still leaking water. Another appointment made for today. 3 emails received confirming the date plus an automated telephone call. No clothes washed at home for 7 days. I waited @ home ALL DAY waiting for the repairman. No phone call, no nothing! We called at 4:50 p.m. to see why. Sears rep said the appointment had been cancelled but couldnt tell us when, why, or who had cancelled it! We didnt!!! 😣😤 We NEVER got an answer to those questions! Sears rep said she would have someone come to repair our washer today! Since no one ever came, shed have someone come today. Even though it was after 5 oclock. Needless to say, nobody ever came! The worst part was how she tried to make it seem like we were the ones that cancelled. I even carried my cordless phone around all day so I wouldnt miss the technicians call saying he was on his way to my house. This has been some of the worst customer service weve ever had. To add insult to injury, this silly girl had the nerve to ask if we wanted to take a survey to let her know how this experience went!!! Are you kidding me? I wish I had never bought another warranty, otherwise, this machine would be beside the road by tomorrow morning. I wish I could give Sears Appliance Repair zero stars!!!

HE LEFT, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM A TECHNICIAN OR ANY OTHER SEARS REPRESENTATIVE EXCEPT ONE WHO CALLED SELLING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE JENN AIR OVEN. GO FIGURE. The worst service ever. I purchased the extended warranty on a stackable Kenmore later in 2015. I called Sears on January 24 to report that the washer in my stackable unit wasnt working. I had to wait a week for someone to come out and diagnose the problem. Parts were ordered and I had to wait another week for those parts to be installed. They ordered more parts. I had to wait another week for those parts to be installed. Washer still broken. Service ordered more parts, so I had to wait another week. This week service came to install those parts and washer still broken. Sears technical asked him to order the last 3 parts in the washer that had not been replaced yet. Thankfully the service advisor stepped in and recommended that the unit be replaced. After the first two weeks, I used social media to complain about the service. I was contacted by my own service advisor who said she would keep track of the process and be sure I was taken care of. Hah!!! All she did was call me the day after the service technician came to tell me the same thing that the service tech told me. There was no thinking outside the box, ownership of the problem, or any attempt to spare me the time and effort of sweating it out without a washer. If the service advisor had not finally stated that the washer could not be repaired, then under the warranty, i would have had to wait until the washer broke down 3 more times before it could be replaced. I will NEVER purchase anything else from Sears. This is incredibly sad because my family has patronized this store for generations. Kenmore used to be the gold standard for long lasting appliances. Your repairmen are being wasted, lost in bureaucratic nonsense. My repairman was the only shining light in this entire process.I hope someone in upper management sees this record, because your entire service after the sale process needs to be completely revamped. Whatever top down pecking order you are utilizing isnt working. The customer and their needs have to come first, not your bureaucracy.Amanda Upshaw

3 diff techs were unable to fix my problem. I paid $249.17 9/10/16 to the first tech. Mr. Meredith # 2 gave me printed receipt to refund $52.55 for a relay that was not needed on 9/23/16. Mr Kroaker #3, came 9/26/16 and could not fix the problem. He stated he would refund $110 ,leaving the residual $89 initial consultation. I need confirmation of these refunds.I dont know why I should pay anything after 3 visit and 3 weeks to end up where I started with the 2 back burners not working on a $2200 Jennair range I bought from Sears in 2012.Totally dissatisfiedFang Etchason

Overall I have a decent experiences with sears besides them not showing to a scheduled appointment a few months ago and not even calling me to let me know the technician would not be coming out! This current repair was one of those days. I had a technician scheduled to come between 8-12 to service my Fridge, I called at 1130 and they told me he would get there at 1245. Once he arrived to change out my compressor the job took 2 hours or so to complete. I noticed that night that my ice wasnt cold and water was dripping a little. I didnt think anything of it. The next morning I went to work only to be called by my wife saying that our food had unthawed in the freezer and the fridge was room temperature. Apparently the technician caused two leaks while replacing the compressor. I lost all my food out of the fridge and freezer, luckily I have a protection agreement so I will see how much they will pay to replenish the food lost.

This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company I wish I would have never purchased my washing machine from Sears. For the sad reason it over 3 weeks for me to get a technician to come my house.I wish I could give you 5 negative stars if I could. I see why your company is going out of busines because this the worst experience I have ever had. I will never purchase anything for Sears ever again. The technician did his job very well. I was aggravated because it took so long for him to reach the technical guys at HQ.This was a job that could have been completed in 30 minutes or less, but took almost 2 hours because of those calls. Over half his time and mine was spent on hold waiting for instructions.

Stay Away from Sears. I wait 2 months they reschedual every time and the technician never showed up and no call. Me and my wife took total 4 days off and stay home 8am-5pm Microwave still hanging. I have a proof.

Repair person seemed upset that he had to return. He did the work, I suppose, as indicated on my contract. I have no way of knowing exactly. He did vacuum. At least this time, he didnt charge for the visit.
