Ive been using these guys for several years for big tire mounting and balancing. For quite a few years, they were the only place in town with a road force balancer. If I had to get my tires mounted at another shop for some reason, Id always end up having to take them to Tires Plus to have them road force balanced before theyd be decently balanced. Im having to do it yet again this week. Another shop in town mounted my brand new BFG tires, but couldnt get them to balance. Well, get a road force balancing machine! Tires Plus has always been able to perfectly balance every tire Ive thrown at them on different sized wheels.

PLEASE do not ever get new tires put on here. Ill open with saying everyone i talked to here was extremely nice. Not a single complaint there. Got my tires put on back in January for a 2005 f350. A few days go by and i noticed ny rims were started to eggshell because they failed to torque my lugs to spec. So after tightening the lugs to spec myself i kept getting weird flat tires. I took it into their competitor discount tires to discover that tires plus put valve stems rated for 45psi on tires that require 80psi. Overall experience was just downright horrible besides for their customer service. Like i said they are friendly people but obviously dont know how to do anything bigger than a simple car

While traveling through Cedar Rapids from out of state I noticed a horrible noise coming from what I thought was my car (turned out to be my travel trailer). I called a few places and Tires Plus was the only one willing to take a listen and help guide me to the right place. Very appreciative of their assistance especially late on a Saturday afternoon.

Went there to get a tire replaced. The tec told me 2 weeks out to do it. Went to Wholesale tire in Cedar Rapids done in a hour and a half. Sounds like they need to do something different than what there doing.

I hate to be one of those guys but here I am. I usually dont rate a one star but this deserves it. I have a 2005 Ford Explorer and they did wheel bearing work on the driver side. Both front and back. 6 months later the back one went bad again. They lied and said it was the passenger side so I took it to a shop I trust. The passenger side was a bit worn but no where near the newer driver side. It was a mess. Got the go ahead by the general manager to bring it right in. Then got yelled at but the manager. Said I cant just drop it off. Did this in front of another customer. Now here it is 18,000 miles later out of warranty rear wheel bearing is bad again as well as the front. I have trusted these guys for many years. I wish I could say this was the first bring back but I cant. I am so done with Tires Plus for tires or auto repair. Again, I hate to be that guy but this was not handled well.

I called when they were about to close in 30 minutes because I’ve had a spare tire on and I was desperate to get a new tire before having to drive on the spare tire anymore. The guy on the phone was extremely nice and told me to get here as fast as I could and he would take care of it for me. Great quality service.

A wonderful place I had the pleasure interacting with the staff at this place. Everyone was friendly, gave me something to eat, treated me like family. They provided me with information about my car, provided quotes and was very knowledgeable about what my car needed. Ill be going back to this place. Prices were decent for service provided. Staff is straight forward and nice. Cheapest place I could find for new tires. So their prices are affordable. Truly only downsides are the parking/location and the setup. Found myself in the only chair that wasnt taken and the sun was blinding as well as not exactly the cleanest looking place. But its a give take situation better pricing means slightly less Comfortability. Still will come back for sure

I had a tire change scheduled today and the guy helping me had great customer service. Quoted me out for an hour from when I showed up and called 40 minutes later saying my car was all done, I especially loved how quickly everyone there worked for a Sunday. Will definitely be returning in the future for any other needs for my car

We had a flat tire on 380 on a Wednesday night and were flying out to Denver, CO the next morning at 6:00 am. Garrett (manager) did an excellent job in customer service as he not only said they took my worried phone call and said they were open until 8:00 that night but he also offered his own number Incase our flight didn’t get in before closing time on Sunday, when our flight returned. He ordered a new tire as they didn’t have the correct size and held our rim so when we came in on Sunday, it was quick and easy. Great service- really went above and beyond. Thanks for making our ruined day a heck of a lot better!

Great place to have tire work or auto repair work done. I have been in multiple times for oil changes, tires and alignment, and when engine light comes on and I dont know what is going on. Great service! Randy and Jake are awesome!

I used to bring my last couple of cars here for work, & they always seemed to do good work at a decent price. They never recommended any work that didnt need to be done just to make an extra dollar. That is, until my last visit. They told me I needed a $700 rear brake job, which I declined. I took my car to a mechanic buddy who said the brakes & rotors are fine, & the parts & labor should cost half of what they quoted. So, that happened. But Ill still bring these guys my car for an oil change & tires as needed.

Was here to get tires about a year ago. They claimed to be out of their most common tire. (I highly doubt theyd let that happen. I know how taking inventory goes) I was there alone. They ended up charging me $700 for tires!!! (This is a Chevy Impala, NOT a Mercedes) Im sure that they gave me more expensive tires just bc I was a lone woman & didnt know any better. Im still pissed. My fiance is pissed. We wont be back. Better off going to Collins Road Tire right behind them.

Just had a tire with a large bolt that went through the tread repaired by David, I was extremely impressed by him, highly professional and knowledgeable, took the time to show me the style of plug/patch that they use, I am pretty confident in this repair which is not always the case with getting a tire fixed.

This review is for tires only. i have no idea what their repair service is like.I got a great price on my tires when selected on their website but there is a trick to it. i ordered by car type and got a lot of extra charges that i did not need ( i.e. my car does not need air pressure levels adjusted because my car does not have that feature).but once you get your tire size order your tires based on size instead of by car and it saved my 36$. also sign up for their offers and you get a 10% off coupon.they will also try to up sell you their tire warranty, I would avoid this as your tires already come with a warranty and their replacement is at their discretion. it just does not seem like a value.now for the bad.i took my car in at 8am on Saturday for new 4 tires. it took them 2 hours to complete it. they had my car up at 8:02 so i have no idea why the took 2 hours for 4 tires. incredibly slow. I used to break down tires at my dads repair shop and it took us less then 30 minutes for a 4 tire swap on a manual rim remover, i have no idea what could have taken them so long.as others have said, its slow. but if you can get a good price then its worth the hassle. bring a laptop, movie or book if you plan to wait.

I have used Tires Plus for 4 years and have been satisfied with their services. They deliver the car when they say they will, the work has been done correctly the first time, and the waiting area is quite nice. The free WiFi makes it possible to work while waiting.

I took our truck to this Tires Plus for 2 tires and a thermostat. Throughout the whole afternoon I was there I kept being told it was almost done. This happened several times. 4 hours later I was told it was finally done and it would be driven to the front of the store. I paid the $750 bill and went outside since it was to be waiting for me. I stood outside waiting for 10 minutes when the guy from the counter came out and told me he didnt know where the mechanic was with my truck but he would call him. After another ten minutes of waiting I finally saw our truck being driven on the street in front of me. He was going fast enough that he had to hit the breaks hard enough to lock them up at the light. He then drove the truck to me and just said he had to make sure it would drive OK. No apologies or anything for not only making me wait for 4 hours but driving my truck in a wreckless manner! I doubt my husband would have been treated like this. We will not be returning.

Just had the oil changed there .It was running fine before .Now it has a high pitched whistle! Son took it back .They were NO HELP! Wont recommend or go there again!

Reasonably quick and accurate on recent 4 tire install (tires from Tire Rack). Install bill didnt match Tires Plus quote but the difference was not that much. My most significant complaint was that he tires were not properly inflated. I was given a sheet at check out listing the pressures (1psi off from correct values). I thought cool and close enough however when I checked them a couple weeks later they were all the same (and) all wrong (+4 psi onthe front, -2 psi on the rears). Not a huge deal but why give me a sheet with the wrong values?

Didnt help fix the issue my car was having and didnt probably checkout my car twice before telling me the problem neither fixing my car or considering some other symptoms of my car. I just be careful if you go here because you still get charge even when they are wrong.Edit: after them getting on to then what i thought was wrong, kevin spent some time and got the fix, which was awesome. He really did some tests to figure it out after the first time. There was still some stuff broken that they didnt check. But I made another appt. for them to check it out. They said they wouldnt charge which pumped it up to a four for me.

Three staff members standing at front office and asked to see if they could help me with a license plate light that was out. The manager came out and took one second to look at it and said nope and walked away without even trying. It was a rusty screw I couldnt get out. He offered no help or even tried. I would have paid to get it fixed. Autozone fixed it in 10 mins for less than $10. His arrogance and unwillingness to help was just a reminder to never give them business. I can only imagine what they do to people that have more critical needs ... dont bother them for the small stuff because they just want to charge the big bucks. While there, another customer wasnt happy with their service evidently. Tires Plus my ass! New to Cedar Rapids so Ill go to Good Year next time I need tires.

I came in late on a Sunday an hour prior to closing. During the summer I have almost no time available during weekdays. I found out most people schedule an appointment for this location they squeezed me in and did quality work. Cheaper than Jiffy Lube and better quality.

Great People here, Saved me a bunch of money on my tires, got em on right away.

I went in to get my oil changed and they said they werent going to be able to get to it so I made and appointment, no problem. So I show up for my appointment and they have me down for a completely different time even though I had an appointment card that said 10am. Very disappointing that they werent willing to help me out and fit me in.

Tried charging me for an alignment service that was never performed.I took my car in on 11/15/14 to have an alignment service performed for a pull to the left. They had my car in and out in less than 30 mins, so I was a bit skeptical it was done. I go to the counter to sign the paperwork and the guy rang me up for $93 on the service almost immediately and did not even go through the alignment results with me. I told him I had their lifetime alignment package so I got the cost waived. I then inquired about the alignment and he very briefly showed me the sheet and couldnt answer me when I asked if any adjustments were made. He went to ask a tech and came back saying Youre all good, bud. I ask again if any adjustments were made. Now he and the manager teams up to tell me that the alignment was all in the green so no adjustments was made.I tell them I still have a pull and he blames my tires and that it might have a radial pull as the tires wear down. This is funny because my tires are BRAND NEW Michelins I got at the Toyota Dealership with less than 500 miles on them. I state this and now they blame it on a bad tire and tell me I need to take it back to Toyota. Rather than trying to help me with my problem, they tried to push me out the door as quickly as possible. I highly doubt my brand new premium name tires are bad nor are they the cause for the pull seeing that it was present before I got new tires. My tires were purchased from Toyota/Scion of Iowa City and I know that quality work was performed.I will not be back and I have the names of the Manager and the guy at the counter with which I will be filing a complaint with corporate.-Michael Trinh

I worked here for a year..used to be 4 tires in 59 minutes or less with an appt, which I have. As Im writing this im 6 minutes past 59 minutes of just waiting for my vehicle to be pulled in..and then Todd has the audacity to ask me to return another day. After I spoke with the store manager Randy monday, and was instructed to call and return Wed. Apt was at 5pm. Its past 6 and vehicle sits outside. Absolutely ridiculous.

My step dad went to them with a bad strut so they replaced the two front which they did very promptly,however they charged him 236 per strut on the same strut I could have gotten for 85.00 now I realize that everybody marks up parts but come on 3 times as much!!!

Both oil changes done here took 45min. On 2nd visit my oil pan bolt was stripped.

Ive been getting repairs done here for years and theyve always been done right.

Been there multiple times since 2012, car always comes back with more scratches and less valve stem caps. The manager I talked to denied the scratches. They also put my tire pressure up to 50 PSI when it’s supposes to be at 33. Would not reccomend.
