The install was professional and everything has worked so beautifully in my home. I absolutely love the service Im getting. I couldnt ask for better internet at this cost. I used to live where I didnt have ImOn as an option for a provider and had to use a competitor... Who shall not be named... But I routine had service issues. ImOn is SO RELIABLE!!!

The crew that did the initial connection from pole to house - they did not like the fact that the cable was very close to my power lines. So, they made the decision to bury the cable! This I was very much for, since I also did not like the proximity of the cable to my power hookup. This also surprised me in the fact that ImOn takes the time to bury cables instead of just simply do the standard pole-to-home connection in the least expensive manner possible. This has further increased my respect for this company.

I have been with Imon for over 10 years. They have the best internet and deals to obtain loyal customers with awesome customer retention offers . Dillion in customer service was ver honest and helpful. He was able to find and lock a great internet plan for 2 years.

Terrible customer service! Called 3 times in the last week. Supervisor was to call me back last week and still have not heard from them. They say they have 72 hours but it has been way over that. They used to have a lady Denise that was awesome! Now their service is awful! Only time we ever received a response in the past was when we went thru the IUB. We may need to contact them again. We will be looking for cable and internet elsewhere!

I spent the first year of my contract calling them every few months asking why I was averaging 70mbps when I paid for a 100 mbps connection. They sent out a tech one time, replaced a single cable and said that would fix it. Over the last few months my average dropped to the 50s. They blamed my DOCSIS 3.0 modem and google wifi setup. Which, sure might limit it a bit but not that much. I finally gave up after a few months of being charged double what their competitor charges for 100mbps. Paid the cancelation fee and moved on with my life. The day the competitor installed their 100mbps service at my home with the same exact hardware setup, Im averaging +120mbps download. Never going back to Imon, subpar speed and service.

The first year or so with Imon was great. No problems, everything worked as it should. However, I’m now faced with price increases, and have had a multitude of issues since early June. I’m paying double what a new customer would pay and the service provided has gotten much worse. Pretty disappointed. I went with Imon to support local businesses, but I think it’s time to switch.

I really like our internet! Easy install, great service tech who answered all my questions. So friendly! My only issue is that my son (avid gamer and computer guy) cannot host his game servers. We didnt think to ask about this cause we have never had a problem. Tried to call a few times but very hard to get through. I did talk to tech support who was great, but said that I needed to call customer service for that.

ImOn overall has excellent customer service, but I, and plenty of my neighbors have had a highly unprofessional experience with one of the customer representatives, Jeanette. I’m not sure if every day is a bad day for her or if she just hates her job, but she is literally the worst customer service experience I’ve had! I left ImOn due to the customer service I received from her about my services and I know 4 other people who have as well. The internet is great, the customer service is okay other than that one representative.

Ive given them enough time and money. As I write this my service is down. I am switching to a different company these people are awful.

Unfortunately today I had to change my review from 5 star to 1 star. Imon has the worst customer service people I have ever had to deal with. Refusing to put in a ticket when I have had service guys here a week ago and still having issues, refusing for me to speak to a supervisor!!!!!!! My modum keeps going off line at least once a, week. I called while it was off line and customer service said nothing about it. Cs agent just said I would have to wait for services guy.. Seriously cs do your job. I know for a fact you can see when modums go down. Poor service. Very disappointed in the cs I received.

On 3 different dates for a total of 9 time their internet service has gone down. If you do get lucky and talk to one of their service techs ask them what the weather on Jupiter is, because they have no idea about the internet disruption.

Ive had great experience with promised speeds and with on-site technicians. In these regards, Imon internet is far better than MediaCom.My internet connection quality and speed even remained mostly stable through COVID-19.However, as of the last month or so, my internet connection quality has dropped significantly. Mostly just temporary drops in connection, with some lag issues in video games with a need for higher speeds like fps games. However, for most of anything else, the issue is just the occasional temporary loss of internet, usually only lasting a minute, but occurring several times a day.My issue, and the main reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4 stars is how difficult it is to get customer service from their help line. I just get put on hold forever. Also, it seems the technicians that can actually do anything are only available during Imons hours. Their 24 hour helpline seems to be able to diagnose issues, but I guess doesnt have the power to do anything. So if you have a major issue after 6pm, youre screwed.I will give credit to Imon in that when I actually do get ahold of a technician during Imons active hours (not the 24 hr helpline), they are usually pretty helpful. Just good luck getting that help

Cancelled my services with them last summer due to a move. They didn’t service our new area so we payed the final bill, cancellation and returned equipment. Last week received a letter from a collection agency stating I owe them money. However, I never received ANY communication from ImOn regarding this money that I owe. Poor communication and accounting skills. Used to love ImOn but will never be a customer again! Too bad there is no good or trustworthy internet service providers in the Cedar Rapids/Marion area.

The worst customer service I have ever had to deal with I would rather go to Mediacom at this point I have not even been a customer for a week. I have had my internet installed incorrectly then given a promotional item that does not work. Now I have to jump through a hundred Hoops just a return the item and Im going to have to miss work to do it because those are the only times that are available is the same times that Im supposed to be at work this company is ridiculous do not get anything from this company.

Worlds better than CenturyLink or Mediacom. Super stable, fast -- I have quite simply stopped worrying about my internet (or even thinknig about it) since I got ImOn. My wife and I can both Zoom with full audio/video while working from home, plus nothing is laggy anymore.Installers came when they said they would, used an existing hole in the house, and its been smooth sailing ever since.The on-boarding process could use some work -- I tried to setup my auto-pay to get my discount, but I didnt have my account number, so I had to contact support for it. I also got conflicting automated mailings about my bill being due, even after I had set it up for autopay. Support told me not to worry about it, but a better-organized experience would be the only thing Id change.The installer educated me about fiber and how not to bend the line and all that, and I get 45 up, 95 down and paid for 50 up and 100 down, so Im happy.Installer wore a mask the whole time they were inside.

We have been having issues with connectivity for quite some time now and thought maybe it was due to the Derecho in March and decided to give it some time to be resolved. Our problems persisted and actually got worse. I called today and talked with Daniel. He was pleasant to talk with and after running some tests, was pretty quickly able to tell me that there were some issues with my equipment and that he would contact dispatch to send someone out as soon as possible. Kudos to Daniel for promptly identifying the issue and for your professionalism! We look forward to having our issue resolved!

This company is awful. They randomly add on more expenses and can’t even explain where the additional cost is coming from. They will continue to transfer you to someone new until you can’t handle being on hold any longer. I would not recommend to anyone. The speeds get slower after 2 weeks of getting it and they only decrease. The company also will not do anything about the slow speeds.

I have to call twice this week about my internet being extremely slow. Jesse was great on Tuesday March 23rd. Whoever I talked to basically said he has no idea cant do anything, really didnt even try. I did the speed test while on hold. Obviously there is an issue with the service today because they experiencing long waits. I have good luck for the most part with pur services but with everyone working from home they really need to be doing more to help resolve the issues like Jesse did. We pay alot to not have some one try to ask more questions and help resolve. I know something is wrong since my internet does not run slow like this often and still way better than Mediacom.

Numerous loss of internet connection issues while living in cedar rapids. Bought a house in marion with fiber optic and thought cool, shouldnt have any issues with connectivity! Roughly 24 hours later, no internet again, done with this b.s...probably should have kept mediacom...

Im paying a good amount of money per month for internet service and i cant even expect a timely response to MULTIPLE emails. when they did finally respond they completely failed to address the issue i had which could be solved on a computer. i dont need a service technician. my issue is i cant access my account online. thats all i need help with. if there was a better alternative for fiber internet in the area that didnt have even worse online reviews i would switch.

Our internet and TV service has been intermittent for a couple of weeks. They cant come look at the problem before November 17, a month from now.ImOn came on November 2 and thought it was fixed, it was not.They came back on November 5 and replaced the feed into the house. It has been rock solid since, we are now happy.

I had service installed on Monday. The technician had a bad attitude and he placed the modem in the basement of all places. I was going to let it go that he had an attitude and against my wishes placed the modem in the basement and see how the service would be with the modem in an inconvenient location. Until I went to wash clothes in the basement to find out this guy unplugged my dryer, removed my vent hose from the vent that leads to outside! Leaving my vent open and exposed to outside! He also removed the vent cover outside that would help prevent small to medium animals from coming in and ran the cable cord from outside to the inside of my basement!! Really ImOn??? What type of service is that?!? I am appalled. I have called twice and spoke with someone in the office both times and not one return call because both times allegedly supervisors or management were “unavailable”.

Just had Jason here to replace my internet line that was ripped off my house from the storm. Jason was very timely. He didnt make me sit here all day waiting for him to show up. Once here he was very professional he introduced himself and explain why he was here and how he was going to fix it. He went above and beyond his job to make sure all was done correctly. Before he left he double checked to make sure all was cleaned up. If I ever need service again I hope they will send Jason back. Thank you very much Jason Jason its greatly appreciated.

Internet speeds sporadically drop below 1MB, attempted to contact customer service to reset modem. Customer service scheduled service visit one week from call. Technician never showed up. After two hours attempting to get representative on phone, learned service visit was canceled without notification.It’s a local company with as poor customer service as any national provider. Cable TV lineup is expensive for the channels offered and VOIP phone doesn’t even include free long distance. They nickel and dime you every chance they get, which is disappointing for a local company. Keeping your money local should make you feel good, but only if you are treated fairly and receive quality service at a fair value.

The modem I was renting also couldnt connect with my phones so I constantly used up my own cell data.My wii couldnt connect and they would not help me connect it. They could help tho, they did it during my first year, but by year 4 of service they gave me a big FU in attitude. So thats sitting in a box somewhere.Last time my two year contract was up i had to disconnect with them just to argue to get a new contract for $10 more a month than I was paying.Now after 5 years of being a customer they try to bill me an extra $25 before my contract is up and then claim they cant do same day disconnects.I immediately switched to mediacom and stopped using Imon after the exact day my contract ended and they still sent me a bill for $45 extra dollars on top of the $25 they added to violate my contract for their 7 days they refuse to disconnect. They also billed me $160 for the modem i keep trying to return but their offices are locked down due to covid.Im not paying for services I didnt ask for or even use. This is horrible customer service after so many years. They never do anything for loyal customers. They always fight to keep raising your price. It is extremely stressful for customers knowing they will have to deal with complete disdain from imon for trying to renegotiate a contract to continue services for another 2 yearsMediacom has much better offers for customer loyalty. Imon is a joke.

Let me just first state that I am a previous internet and cable installation technician in the Cedar Rapids area.I have had connection issues with their internet for months prior to my cable drop line being ripped down in the August 2020 Derecho. I had someone here 2 times before the storm to fix the issue and they couldnt. I had 3 other techs scheduled for appointments and they merely checkrd my current connection and see that it was working and never come to my home to try to repair anything further. I missed a half of a days pay waiting for one of their technicians to show up, only finding out the job had been closed and he wasnt coming to my home when I called their office. They also told me first that my modem was bad and would need replaced but would be weeks before they could change it. So I bought my own and then found out it was not an issue at all. Needless to say I still have connection issues in late December. The drop line was down for four months lying on the ground after the storm because they never showed up to replace the line after the storm. Ive had two people here since then and they rehung the damaged cable line and refuse to replace it. My internet frequently drops to the point where I cannot load a webpage or stream any video and its usually running slow enough that the picture isnt clear. They have lost my business indefinitely after this ordeal. These people are lazy and they are completely uninterested in making sure your services work after you start paying for them.

They own a property next to mine. They have a little forest of trees on that property. During the derecho, many of those trees fell into my yard and destroyed my fence. We talked with an Aaron Smith to deal with this situation. We cleaned up all of the trees that were in our yard (took us 13 days to clean up) and requested that Imon remove the trees that were on our fence and still attached on their property. Aaron sent out a tree removal company who didn’t finish the job even after being here twice. He promised that he, himself would be coming out with them the second time to make sure it got done. He did not show up with them.I called and talked to him twice in one day about coming back and cleaning up the mess since we have several dogs and it is not safe for them to be out in the yard with all the tree limbs they cut down and left there.He completely ignored calls from myself, my fiancé AND his own company.I’m beyond disappointed with how this is being handled. It is very stressful on our dogs who cannot run our backyard due to this mess Imon has left. Nobody can give us any answers on when they will be out to clean up the mess they made while cutting down trees.I will never use Imon service. Very unprofessional.

After almost 7 years of being an ImOn customer I switched providers because I moved to a new home. I was owed a $6 refund check and was advised it would take 6 weeks. Due to life happening 8 weeks had passed and I realized I had not received my $6 check. I called and spoke with Karen, she advised that no check had even been printed because it was less than $10. They were holding my money as a credit on a closed account. I requested for my initial call to be pulled because I had been advised 6 weeks. A supervisor was supposed to call me with their findings. After a week I called back and told no supervisor was available to speak with. A second request was submitted to have a supervisor call me. 12 days passed and Derecho hit the city. I called back again and finally spoke with a supervisor who advised my check was mailed yesterday 8/18/2020. My initial request was submitted on 6/4/2020.ImOn has great internet service but absolutely horrible customer service. Not once did a supervisor call me back and I had to do their job for them.I would rate ImOn a 3 out of 5 stars.

I love ImOn...local company that provides great internet at reasonable prices. It was super easy to set up an account, schedule installation, and get my questions answered. They give a 2 hour arrival window so you dont have to take a whole day off of work just to get your services set up and the technician even showed up early (!!!) They are great about giving advance notice of scheduled outages and overall I have been a very happy customer with them.

I am so happy I switched! I am not from the area and having fought with Mediacom and CenturyLink for the past 6 months Im so grateful to have moved to an area that gets Imon service. My connection is fast and reliable, and I never had that experience with previous providers. I was terrified when we all moved online due to COVID as I knew my work would suffer under those companies internet quality. Now I can with confidence join every meeting and know that Im not missing important conversations. Thank you! In my initial Imon set up, I was dreading having to reach out to customer service as my bank information wasnt readily available in the Imon autopay system. After clearing my schedule ready to be on hold for at least 2 hours (as was needed for prior companies issues) they connected me to a REAL PERSON speaking fluent and clear and the issue was resolved in 7 minutes. 7 MINUTES! I counted! and the customer service person stayed on the phone with me while I retried the corrected issue to ensure it was working to my satisfaction! Are you kidding me?! Yes, I love you all already! I am blown away on all accounts. Switch if you can to the Imon family! Youll pay a little more in $, but a lot less in stress and time! If given the choice I will never leave them!

No call, no shows for service (twice in a row at this point). Rude, unprofessional customer service when explaining we had a no call no show. Impossible to get scheduled in the first place to fix poor internet quality. We are paying for a product we are not getting in terms of internet speed, as we cannot get anyone here to fix the issue. Zero communication between the employees in terms of what the internet issue is and when they will fix it. Ive had to call countless times, explaining my issue to then be waved off by customer service, one individual in particular. Extremely frustrating to try and fix my issue to then have a customer service individual be rude and snarky.

If you want help, the only way to get it is to let the world know on their social media. Theyd list one of our repair tickets, and then no apologies or anything sent us again to the back of the repair line. we couldnt get help on the phone and finally got help when I commented daily in their social media about the lack of help.

Received an email indicating I would get 3 day credit from Derecho service loss. I didn’t have working internet for nearly 3 weeks. I had to use my cellphone hotspot just to be able to work. They need to re-assess how they are calculating their credits.

I have been an Imon customer for several years and my service was always excellent, until recently. After the storm, my service was up and running fine. Apparently, there was damage to the hub I am connected to that needed to be repaired. The hub was taken down for four days to make these repairs. When it came back up, my service did not. I was out of phone and internet for a total of 23 days because technicians were not available to fix it. I was told that there would be a credit for the time I was down as long as I contacted billing and explained the situation once I was back up. I did this and was told the credit would appear on my next bill. When I got the bill, the credit was for approximately $13 (basically the four days). Now Im being told that the additional credit will be on my next bill. I have already paid for service that I did not receive, and they are delaying adjusting my bill to fix it. I have been a solid supporter of Imon since I first started receiving their service, but this experience feels more like what I came to expect from Mediacom.

Had been calling ImOn to pick up down onwire, I rolled it up from my house to the neighbors and taped it to the pole. They finally show up with a trailer truck and another truck and parked in my driveway instead of coning the street like everyone else the job would take 10 minute at most the 1 guy told me to come back 10 minute which I thought was rude. They need to inform their contractors to park vehicles not in customer driveway unless they give them permission.

I had a very positive experience working with Ryan and Ryan (one admin and one technician). They were open to figuring out a way to install through an existing hole in the house to keep the landlord happy. The installation was performed in under an hour. Since it was installed, the internet service has been rock solid with much lower latency than my previous ISP. Im very happy with my switch to ImOn!

In our most recent experience: customer service shined at passing the buck, and only after taking us along a circuitous process did they actually provide customer service. We had to unnecessarily jump through hoops to get a new modem/router. Customer service rep. attempted to have us troubleshoot an old ImOn wireless router that a subsequent customer service rep. acknowledged to be outdated and in the process of being phased out by ImOn! All told it took almost two weeks to get a new modem/router from ImOn. We had been happy with our ImOn experience prior to this, and unfortunately their poor customer service has redefined our experience.

Josh from CablePro and Eric in sales went above and beyond for me. Had some rough time with Mediacom. Eric got me set up with install faster than Mediacoms date of Oct 22nd and saved me $15 bucks a month for the same service. Took one 5 minute phone call instead of my 10 to Mediacom. Followed up as soon as he had an opening and kept me in the loop until that date. Josh helped install while I was out of the state and called me multiple times to fill me in and make sure he was doing it correctly since I was not present. Followed up when I had issues when I got back and answered right away. Gave me steps and helped me find a solution when he could have easily waited a day to get back to me. Both show why local business is just better and both are a great asset to your company. 15/10 for me.

Jordan Spencer was our installer. Weather was horrible (rain/ice). He was ahead of schedule by about an hour and called ahead to make sure it would work for us. ImOn is spectacular. They follow through with what they say they will do. Internet speeds are as advertised, customer service is prompt and courteous. Every experience Ive had with ImOn over the years has left me happy that they are my cable/internet provider. Thank you so much for such a quick response in getting me set up so quickly with internet as a new customer. Less than 24 hours after my initial call, I was all set. Grant Atherton was my tech and he was very nice and offered several options on where to set up the modem and had everything done so quickly. And he was very nice to my dog who had to watch up close everything that he was doing. Thank you Grant and ImOn for your quick work and allowing me to easily work at home after my old provider let me down.

We have had IMON for a few years and the last year has been horrible. The Tech dept is fine and customer service is good it the actual internet that’s terrible. It drops 5-10 times and day and I feel like I’m on the phone with IT all the time. I really would have liked to stay with them because they’re local but I work from home and I can’t afford to have this constant issue with no resolution.

The service provided by them is great and fast, but support is less than great. I have called them over 9 times in the past week and phone operators kept trying to avoid sending a technician out. They stated that no technicians were available to come out but there was a technician at my neighbors house 1 day later. Also, one operator said he put a ticket in, but calling the next day the operator said there were no tickets in the system. Dont expect good support with this company.Update: 6 days later and they still have not given my family any estimate as to when they can come out and fix our line break. 2 weeks is an unacceptable amount of time to fix our issue. I expect that theyll still try to bill us for this month too. With this amount of trouble just go with Mediacom. If they even read these reviews the account is under Albert Jordan.Update 2: It has now been 3 weeks since we have not had internet due to a simple cable break. How is a company so incompetent that they cant send out one of their many techs for a 30 minute job. I also received the monthly bill the other day despite not having internet for nearly an entire month. Ridiculous and horrible service. Phone operators avoided my questions and even hung up on me when I asked why they couldnt give a timeframe.Update 3: Late post but service was restored on September 10th. Glad to have it back but 1 month is an extremely long response time.

Denise is hands down the best person to answer the phone when we call about issues! She knows me by name and seems to spend extra time to make things right. Today our internet was down and I worried that I would be unable to stream my grandpas funeral. She was very compassionate and offered to call if the problem extended past the expected resolution time so that I would be able to make different arrangements. Fortunately, things were up and running in plenty of time, and she still made a courtesy call to make sure I knew. Thank you, Denise, and ImOn!

We have been ImOn customers for more than 10 years. As prices have gone up and up, service and reliability have gone down. Over past year +, very unreliable email service with long stretches of being unable to send and/or receive email. Calling customer service during these many outages didnt help and I was told our technicians are working on it but no estimates of when service would be restored. ImOn switched to a new server/provider of its email service in late summer, 2019 but had the nerve to begin charging $1/month (ONE dollar) for this upgraded service. When total bill is pushing $200/mo, that is a bit of an insult. Calls to customer service usually mean negotiating long phone tree and then at least 20-30 minutes on hold listening to recordings telling me how they value my time and how important my call is. Tip for all current customers: if you get frustrated at increases in prices, if you call and tell them you are about to go with competitor and cancel service, they often will lower your bill to keep you. This practice I also find annoying and a bit insulting. If you value me as a long-time customer who always pays my bill on time, why not offer me the lower price in the first place? Wish I could be more positive about my local company.

Its 8/6/20. I have been trying to get effective internet going in my new apartment since 8/1/20. After being passed off by several employees, having to go and pickup my own modem and hook it all up myself. We are going into the 6th day without a quality internet connection. ImOn has really dropped the ball here. Bad/incompetent customer service in 2020 is just ridiculous.UPDATE SEPTEMBER 12 2020Here I am nearly a month later. And all I want to do I pay money and have internet. Somehow ImOn is still unable to provide services. But dont worry they certainly had someone call me about phone services i never wanted and tried once again to up sell me stuff I dont need meanwhile not even getting the original order fulfilled. Will escalate, would never recommend.

All three of the ImOn employees (Sales, and 2 install technicians) that I dealt with were friendly and professional. The work was completed on time and internet service has worked as expected ever since. The price for a months service ($50) was also phenomenal, price guaranteed for 2 years.

I have had imon for several years (off and on). I recently reached my 2 year contract and called in today to figure out a new promotion. The customer service is TERRIBLE. The automated lady told me I was the only one in the call queue yet I had to wait 10 minutes on hold for someone to answer. And then she pretty much told me I wasn’t valued as a customer. I admit, I did call her a name at the end of my call. But as someone who has worked as a CSR for MANY years, you can’t just keep responding to a customers questions with “I don’t know”. She was very unprofessional and had a condescending tone the ENTIRE call. I ended up calling back in to see if they could apply the “deal” to my current bill, and then I would only have to pay that before cancellation in order to switch to mediacom. The guy basically said “we can’t afford to do that”. Um okay? Every single time I call in it’s the same thing. Whether it’s an issue with my service being down (which happened a lot) or if it’s a billing question, no one seems to know what they are talking about. It’s like a building full of incompetent people with no training and no phone skills. I used to recommend imon to everyone I know (I have a lot of friends moving to the area) and now I will be telling them not to get you. I’d be interested to see how your business pulls out of this economic down turn considering mediacom will put their existing customers on new promotions and you won’t. Peace out, I’ll be switching to a company that cares about it current customers just as much as new ones!

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Poor customer service. Hours on the website are not what they really are. Trying to deal with a billing issue at 6pm at night. The representative said she cant do anything with billing and to call back at 8am in the morning. Customer care call center is suppose to be open till 7pm according to their website. My service is shut off for 40$ that is past due that I wasnt aware of. Never received communication warning me that my services are going to be disconnected. I paid the amount and now they cant do anything about my services until tomorrow when the customer care team isnt closed til 7pm and that is the only department that can take care of billing issues, I guess. Thought this company would be a great company to get service through but i was wrong. Online customer account isnt customer friendly. You cant do or see much with your online account. You will NEVER receive the speeds you are paying for. Customer service is a joke and can barely do anything as well. Horrible communication from this company. My family and i are looking somewhere else for service. Horrible company in all areas. I will never recommend this company to anyone!

The bill of goods they sell is clearly something that shouldnt be bought. The download speed potentially rivals other networks, but their upload speeds is laughable, I was averaging 2.25mbps. I was sold a price for life contract that was turned into a two year contract and I should have done better due diligence than to sign, shame on me. Because the early termination from this contract is where they can earn some money. Lessons Learned that I need to read the fine print but I also wont be doing business with them for residential or commercial.
