The staff is fantastic however lately they have dropped the ball big time with responses and communication. Not answering phone or returning calls or following up on appointment requests.

Dr. Besler and her staff are so kind and knowledgeable. The always make me feel extremely comfortable. I’ve had 1 cavity filled and the process was painless and I can’t even tell which tooth was filled. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed Dr. Beslers staff. But, the Dr. herself not as much. My new dentist has had to fix many mistakes that were made. And I always felt like she was not letting me explain the pain that she was causing. She once took a tooth out that she thought may or may not need a root canal and once she got the tooth out and bruised the heck out my face decided she could not finish. It was late at night and could not get me back in to the other dentist that did the root canal for 5 days!! It was terrible pain!

I didnt enjoy my visits here. I always felt like Dr Besler was talking over me and never to me. I recently switched dentists and they found one of the cavities I had filled at Dental Associates was cracked and had to be repaired. On top of that, I was always told that I had new teeth at risk after every cleaning. The visits with my new dentists have revealed nothing but healthy teeth. Im glad I switched providers.I do think the hygienic and front desk staff is friendly here, however.

Our entire family switched to Dr. Besler a little over a year ago. We have been very pleased with her expertise and professionalism. And, her staff is wonderful! Oh my gosh, I cannot say enough good things about Jerri, my hygienist at Dental Associates. Before having her as my hygienist for over the last ten years, I dreaded going to the dentist. But Jerri changed all that as I now look forward to going! She is absolutely one of the most genuinely caring people I have ever known, which just spills over into her outstanding hygienist qualities. I know for a fact she cares deeply for each of her patients and goes above and beyond the call. When I was under the care of a specialist for a time (and not seeing her and Dr Besler regularly), Jerri took the time to call me to make sure I was doing all right. As if those qualities arent enough, her laughter, her smile, her warm spirit put you at ease as soon as you walk in, as does Dr Besler and all the wonderful staff. Jerri is always full of positive encouragement. And yes.....she has taken excellent care of my teeth :) How blessed Jerris patients are (me included!) to have such a wonderful person and hygienist caring for them and always having their very best interests at heart :)

I have to add to my already rave reviews of Dr. Karen Besler and her team. I had an unfortunate incident which impacted 4 of my teeth--two front teeth a few days ago. In my absolute panic, Dental Associates of Cedar Rapids went above and beyond as usual. Reassuring, efficient and above all else professionals. Within 24 hours I had a temporary tooth put in, a fill for one chipped tooth and appointment with a specialist thanks to their referral. The permanent replacement was some of the best cosmetic work Ive ever witnessed.I cannot thank Karen and her amazing staff enough for giving me back my smile. I sing their praises to anyone willing to listen and am continually amazed by their work and positive spirit. Before I went to see Dr. Besler and Carla at Dental Associates, I had been struggling with crooked teeth and a bad case of TMJ for about 20 years. I had constant headaches, pain in my jaw, and an annoying clicking sound whenever I chewed or opened my mouth. I had been to see other dentists, and nothing worked; I didnt think anything would help my TMJ symptoms. When I went to Dental Associates for a consultation, I immediately felt like there was hope for some relief of my TMJ; I would also get the added bonus of beautiful straight teeth! I signed up for Invisalign that day, and I can say it was a great decision. The process took less than 2 years, and the results were amazing! Since I completed the Invisalign process, I have had no recurring symptoms of my TMJ -- no clicking or popping of my jaw, no headaches, and no more jaw pain. The added bonus -- my smile has never looked better!

Ive never had a dentist that is so gental, kind, and understanding. When she works in your mouth it is with great percision and accuracy. She is a perfectionist when it comes to doing her job. Everything has to be just right. No rushing you through and if you have questions she takes the time to listen and explain things to you.From my dental hygienist (Jerri) I learned that I had periodontal disease. It was pretty bad when she first started treating me for it. But with her diligence and skillful hands I am doing so much better.Ive gotten to know the whole staff at Dental Associates of Cedar Rapids. In fact to me Dr. Besler, Jerri, Carla, Jan, and Jill all seem like an extended family to me. So if anyone is looking for a new Dentist dont hesitate.
