The staff at Merci’s was absolutely outstanding. I have worked retail and can tell when workers have on their “customer face.” At no time did I sense this. The customer service is a close second to the work they did. My alterations were done quickly and professionally. I feel like a new person when I wear the clothes they altered. As a guy, I was worried about going in for alterations, but literally was made to feel so comfortable about the process. If you need any work done, I recommend them whole heartedly.

This is a hidden treasure in Cedar Rapids. They did a spectacular repair job on a cherished jacket. You would never know that a lovable dog got hold of it and chewed the collar. Very fast and efficient. Also, their Covid-19 protocols are excellent. I felt safe and secure.

Was told it would cost 55-60$ over the phone then came to pick up and am being told 200$ on a pant suit that cost 16.99 originally from shien dishonesty business

Upon my initial visit for a rush hem adjustment to suit pants, I was met with extraordinary courtesy and professionalism. The tailoring was completed on time and cost was reasonable. The customer service was amazing and the attendant even remembered my name when I returned to pick up the suit pants. I highly recommend Mercis Tailoring and I will certainly give all my tailoring business to this deserving establishment.

Perfect work every time. My only advice is that sometimes they close for a break in the afternoon (and maybe the morning too), so make sure to call so you dont show up during business hours and theyre out.

My bridesmaid dress turned out perfectly, plus the staff was very pleasant. I was pleased. I thought it was a bit pricey, but worth it for how nicely it turned out. I had to have the sides of the bodice taken in, straps shortened, and the hem taken up.

They saved my wedding! The zipper on my maid-of-honors dress completely broke on the day of the wedding. They were able to completely replace the zipper and have her ready to go in less than 30 mins. Im forever grateful!

I had an appointment scheduled and they allowed a walk in customer to jump in ahead of me, making me wait thirty minutes past my appointment time. Then when I went to pick the dress up they charged me 3x what a hem wouldve cost at several other places in town. (I checked after I got the bill, unfortunately). To top it off, the dress was still over an inch too long dragging on the floor in the same shoes I wore for the fitting measurements. I was tripping over it all night at the wedding, which I was in. I dealt with it because I didnt want to spend more money to fix it.
