We had a tree in our backyard which fell on to our roof during a recent heavy storm. Blackhawk squeezed the job into their busy schedule and cleared it out. Great professionalism and team work. A lot of respect the property too. Very efficient process and cleared all debris on the lawn when finished.

The guys took out 7 trees (including stump grinding) in 6 hours. The trees were all very close to the house, so I was impressed that the noise was lower than I expected (I could still work at home) and there was absolutely no damage to anything. This was a very professional, very efficient crew. Everything went smoothly and according to plan. Highly recommended.

We had three maple trees and one popular tree cut down. We had one tree trimmed as well. One of the maples was added on the day of the service and it was included at a fair price. The stumps were cut as low as possible and every thing cleaned up as expected. They arrived on time. The Blackhawk crew, led by Robert, arrived on schedule and worked in a professional and efficient manner while taking down a large Leyland Cypress tree that had grown close to our house. The crew used safety equipment when they worked with their tree cutting tools and equipment. They worked as a team to remove the cut material from our yard and disposed of the tree limbs and branches with the use of a front loader and large shredder. We had a large White Oak(4 ft across a foot above ground) die over the winter. It couldn’t be reached by crane. Blackhawk climbed it, cut and roped down limbs, then dropped the rest in sections, hitting the targeted path every time. They took only a half a day, and left no mess. We recently used Blackhawk Arborist Services to remove several trees off our property, including two very tall pine trees from the back of our yard. The team of trucks and large crane arrived right on time and immediately got to work, removing the trees, lifting parts of the tree over the house and down to the street, where the trees were cut and chipped. They ground all stumps with a remote-controlled stump grinder that the kids on the street liked. Within 3 hours, the trees were all removed, the yard, driveway and street were all blown clean and the job was done. They were very professional and friendly. We would certainly use them again.

Blackhawk recently cut down and removed 6 huge pine trees, and one hardwood tree from my property. They also grinded down 6 stumps to mulch. They were amazingly fast, and they were thorough in their cleanup. While Blackhawk was working,, my neighbor asked the crew leader (Chris) if they could possibly remove one tree while they were on site. After discussing it with the crew, they agreed to remove that tree. Blackhawk is so busy, we had to wait 3 or 4 weeks to be fit into their schedule. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Also, Blackhawk’s quote was the lowest of three that I obtained. (Note: They used a crane for the removal of the trees.) If i ever want more trees removed, Blackhawk will be my only call! We’ve used these folks multiple times, we had them come by this spring to remove a tree and clear a number of sucker branches growing on others. We believe staying ahead of the sucker growth. The crew picked up all the fallen branches and limbs, even took a blower to our yard to clear loose leaves. I’m impressed with their safety procedures and their equipment, highly recommend Will and his crews.

They removed all the wood (in their HUGE wood chipper) and cleaned all debris from the yard. The trees were so close to our house and screened porch that I was afraid we would have at least one small tear in a screen. But not at all. The crew of 4 were amazing, professional, and efficient. The estimate was less than I expected for the work they did and they arrived exactly when they were scheduled. The owner is also a certified arborist, which helps a lot in getting professional advice and also for completing HOA forms that are sometimes required to remove trees.

We had Blackhawk remove 2 trees from our yard, one was leaning over our patio and screened porch. They arrived on time, were very professional. They took down both trees very efficiently, with no damage or harm to the yard or patio. They were very careful with the yard, other trees, and other structures in the yard. We had 4 trees and 4 tall shrubs (35 tall) removed. 2 trees were very close to the screened deck and the tallest shrub grew in a tight space right next to the house, air conditioners and yard structures.They did a fantastic job of doing all this and left the place looking very clean. The men doing the work were friendly and courteous. They had to deal with an interruption from the HOA (PITA group if you ask me) and a crazy neighbor and kept their cool through it all. We initially received a consultation from another company but were not happy with it. Blackhawk came and spotted 3 additional dead trees missed by the first company. Did a great walk around the property leaving me feeling completely happy that after the work was carried out it would be safe for our kids to play in. When they came to do the work they were early, professional and a joy to watch. Like a well oiled machine they took the trees down securing them all with rope first and then removing them in a very controlled fashion. They cleared up perfectly. From the first time we contacted BlackHawk to the moment they finished the job we had a terrific experience. They were extremely friendly, accommodating, and professional. They were able to put us on the schedule knowing our HOA approval might not come through in time and made no big deal of it when we had to push it back when the approval had not come in on time. Blackhawk did an excellent job removing a very large Sweet Gum tree, a dead Red Oak tree, and very large White Oak tree limbs that were growing over the roof of our house and driveway. The job was very challenging because much of the work was 100-150+ feet above the ground and inaccessible to a bucket truck. Their 5-6 man team functioned like a well-oiled machine and were very respectful of our lawn, existing property lines, and the health of pruned trees as well as neighboring trees in the execution of their work. A friend recommended Blackhawk, and Im so thankful! They did the work at a fraction of the cost, and they were so fast and safe! Considering the level of care and pride they took in their work I was worried that it might be more expensive than some of the other companies in the area. I got quotes from 5 different companies in the area and was pleasantly surprised to find their quotes significantly better than all of the others.Superior service at a very reasonable price. Do yourself a favor and keep Blackhawk Tree Services at the front of your mind if you should ever need this type of work done.

They had to reschedule our first appointment, but were early for the rescheduled date. Crew was polite and efficient. They were super careful about our house and neighbors fence. Everyone cleaned up before they left. Our tree pruning and removal project will be done in phases, and will absolutely use them again!

They removed a 35-40 foot tree from our back yard. Could not have been a smoother process. Removal went without issue and the crew left the yard in great condition. Will definitely use them again.

We have used Blackhawk for the last 20+ years, and have never been disappointed. This time they came exactly when they said they would, and did a great job. They managed to cut down a very large pine that was right next to a utility pole, landing it precisely between the garden and the mailbox. They cut down several other trees, and cleaned up a huge tree that had fallen down a steep hill. We will definitely use them again.

Owner Will Armstrong is punctual, an excellent communicator, definitely knows his trees, and writes the most thorough estimates and work orders, putting other vendors to shame. This is an honest business, they do quality work, and I cant recommend them highly enough.

These guys were very professional, thorough, all around great job! They were respectful of our property and took great care when taking down our trees and limbs. They even blew our entire yard, driveway and patio off when they were done. Definitely will be calling them again.
