I can not say enough about Coach Shrean. Her patience for the girls and enthusiasm shows that she loves what she does. Overall, the “Shining Stars” team gives girls who would not typically have an opportunity to participate in cheer a chance to do so. This program needs to be applauded and commended.

My wife wrote a review below but I just had to come on and give everyone a fathers take on this company. At first when my wife told me she was enrolling our daughter in cheer I was a bit skeptical because I have seen uniforms and routines before that were not something I would ever want my daughter participating in. Let me tell you all my worries went out the door when I spoke with the coach and she showed me the uniform and I heard the competition music was a Disney song! My daughter comes home everyday after cheer practice with a smile on her face and thats all a dad can ask for. They also kept the teams engaged and learning virtually during the pandemic. Of course we would have much rather been in class learning but when the state requires a stay at home order what can a company do? We are now back in class and I feel the coach and company are being safe and regulating contact as much as possible that I can tell you not all companies are doing right now. Cheer dad for life!

My family and I have been involved with this company for well over 15 years now. I am a former cheerleader and cheered for 15 years, my sister is almost on year 11 and will not be returning. This company is very botched and mismanaged. It is astounding to see that any coach who does not kiss the behind of Mr. Dalton and Ms. Dakota, magically end up no longer working for the company. You have very hard working coaches and then there are coaches who can have a team drop stunts at a national competition and claim a first place title. There is a very clear line of favoritism and its been going on for ages, in the 15 years I spent cheering for this company I had 2 coaches who actually cared and actually made their cheerleaders feel like winners, those 2 coaches only coached for a few sessions due to the company treating them poorly. My sister is now going through the same thing, she had an amazing coach who loved each and every one of her girls. The coach was tough, and she did not play but she made phenomenal routines that each team nailed at every competition, but none of this was recognized and now they are losing one of the best coaches I have ever met, she was bold and unique and she made this company better but they did not care about that. The only thing that matters to Champions in Motion is money. There was a petty issue, that did not even start with this coach, that took a few dollars out of this greedy companys pocket and now there is no coach for 3 different teams. This company is scared to show its faults and when they get called out on issues, they like to take the childish route of blocking people from writing reviews, so PLEASE block me. I could care less but the funny thing is, youre going to care more because there will be a little less money in your pocket. I truly thank you for teaching your cheerleaders the experience of favoritism, greed and unfair treatment.

So I have been with Champions in motions for 2 years, never had to contact the office until this year. They are suspicious when it comes to policies. When asked about the companies policy, they asked which group I was with and never responded. I sent two more emails and Dakota never responded in reference to the same issue. Simple question about fundraising for our girls team. The coach for our team had a lack of interest in coaching our girls, she cut practices short and told the cheerleaders they should just pray!! What kind of leadership is that.Lastly, our team was dropped and I was not notified at all, other parents apparently got emailed. Bad business on Champions in motions part. I can verify all this and more.

We have been part of CIM - Stanly County since 2016. I love that it is an affordable program (in a sea of insanely expensive cheer programs) that offers kids from all walks of life the chance to try competitive cheerleading. We have seen multiple coaches, all of whom were wonderful in their own ways and taught my daughter so much in their tenure. My daughter has been with CIM for 8 years. The only reason we stayed so long was her love of the sport. The company is more concerned about politics, money and playing favorites than with the children. If they dont like a coach the girls pay the price. We watched a team last night drop stunts, get confused about their routine, ran over their time and just walk off the mat without finishing their routine. That team won 1st place. Other teams had flawless routines with the only mistake being a perfectly executed Tumbling pass that is approved for a level higher. After 8 years you will not get another dime of my money. After watching the way you have shafted our kids because you have an issue with our coach. A coach who has brought countless national placements to the organization. Done. Anyone reading this, take your kids elsewhere unless you want to watch them give 100% and get disappointed time and time again.

We were apart of a very affordable program for a little over two years, Champions in Motion - Durham. We matriculated levels throughout the program through the hard work, dedication, perseverance, and tenacity of the cheerleaders, and parents that i proudly call my family now. It is unfortunate that the company did not match the same kind of efforts that the team and parents put fourth. The motivation, self-esteem building, development and skill building skills, all came to a gradual halt as we moved from level three to a level four status, which is unfortunate. It was a very disappointing experience that the cheerleaders and parents endured. The girls experienced a very emotional downward roller coaster that could have impacted their self-esteem and desires to cheer. It seems like almost every year the company has had to produce a new coach in Durham since we have been there. The coaches do not get the support they need from the organization. When we started with the program the first coach left in the middle of the season and we got a new coach who managed 17 teams then left and another one took over. Since we have had the new coach it has been very interesting and not in the best way. It was not a pleasant season for the girls at all. It appeared that the girls were asked basically to teach themselves without true guidance and support from the coach. The coach reported that she has the girls come in and do the work on their on. It was shocking to hear from the cheerleaders that the coach meant what she said that she was providing little to no support to them. They were basically coaching themselves. She appeared to stand back and watch without correction. She repeatedly would inform the parents that the cheerleaders were doing bad and appeared frustrated. The parents would ask for specific details on what the girls needed to correct to no avail. When asked questions, or requested to provide a video of the routine or the music the coach we were reprimanded and also told not to practice at home. I am still unclear as to how the girls are supposed to progress to be champions if they are not getting guidance during practice, told not to practice at home, practice times were cut short on multiple occasions, without concrete suggestions on how to fix the issue. We experienced issues were from the beginning it was challenging because from week to week there was one or two girls potentially absent due to illness. The coach indicated that she could not teach the girls the routine because one of the cheerleaders was out instead of teaching them that they are on a national level team and should be versatile to keep the program moving forward. When parents requested clear details, videos, music, resolution suggestions, proper guidance and instruction for the girls, it was met with resistance and reprimands through strongly written BAND Notes, and then suspension letter. At no time, was a professional grievance process or discussion followed especially after the girls received what appeared to be a poorly coached season. We deserved due process which was not given. This is a very disappointing end to this now tarnished team.It is good that the cheerleaders have strong parents to lift them up after the demeaning disconnected practices and they endured. This was not just a cheer parent group, we have become a family. Ordinary we are not. The girls and parents are top notch. I wish that i can say the same for the organization that i once loved so much. It is a shame that the company did not appreciate what they have in dedicated parents and good coaches. The love for Champions In Motion Durham and the company is not so much anymore, it has diminished greatly. We have called, sent emails, with supportive evidence without a response. It is unfortunate that our thoughts and feelings did not matter. Additionally, I have been trying to get my money back for a double state registration payment and t-shirt that i did not receive but no one is responding.

Sent an email and was sent the EXACT response that was sent to another parent and then was invited to try out for another team that is over an hour away when there are closer teams. Our coach, Tikeya, was unprofessional, did not communicate with the parents, gave negative feedback to our girls with no guidance on how to correct, ended practices early,...clearly had no interest in coaching our team. We have raised money for our team and no clue where that money has gone. They have referenced things that are in the contract but are not in the contract and hasnt addressed. Refuse to give any reimbursement as they said the year is over...however our contact states September. Im sorry, but the lack of integrity this organization has is disappointing. They are hard to reach for questions and communication is generally poor. Class is often cancelled at the last minute and it there is no schedule handed out for holidays, events, etc. I have often called the provided number with questions or concerns but no one can ever answer my questions. It’s unfortunate, especially because the program is designed to accommodate low-income families and it’s often difficult for low-income families to get transportation across town for classes that end up being cancelled. I will say we have liked the teacher and my son has enjoyed the classes. Unfortunately that has not outweighed the messiness of the program and we would not use them again.

I have 2 daughters that cheer with this organization and I highly doubt we will be back in the fall. We have poured hundreds of dollars and countless hours into cheer the past 2 years. Where I am fully aware of the extras that are not included, i.e. uniforms, competition fees, etc. I find the prices to be completely outrageous. I also find some of the policies to be ridiculous as well. For instance, if the girls want to compete in CIM competitions they must purchase uniforms, fair enough...however, why impose a rule that a separate uniform or practice wear be purchased for Summer Showcase? Why cant they wear the uniforms previously purchased? Why is the planning so piss poor at competitions? For instance, this past summer showcase lines were ridiculous for registration and purchases. Also, how can a company in good faith provide NO size chart for uniform or clothing purchases and then have the audacity to charge an exchange fee? The kicker to this all is to witness coaches and employees of this organization, laugh at and mock teams as they compete on the mat. Its both disheartening and distasteful.

Because im super blessed i gave unto ceaser and left. Will not recommend or return.Atmosphere wasnt welcoming or warm. Although it was expressed that an assistant is usually there to help the instructor still wasnt anywhere near interested in redirecting the distracted and uninterested children in this evenings class, here at the mallard creek location. Everything was in the air when i walked in no greeting or welcome.. just a long line at the door leading up to a lady collecting money at a table with a home made sign. The children were all running around aimless. When the class seemed to begin there was no introduction to my kids so they could know who to even address as the leader of the class.. they did some basic moves however no respect or principles were given or received. Poorly played out.. Usually they say you get what u paid for.. but this the exception to the rule.**update** mallard creek should really consider who they allow to conduct business at their facility**

For the past 4 weeks the coaches have talked about getting the kids fitted for uniforms and even had phone calls going out to parents to confirm the fittings yet when we get to class nobody has a clue what’s going on and now it’s past the deadline to get the uniform. Completely pointless to even come here if your child can’t do the competition because there’s no communication as to when to order the uniforms or what size to get. The owner says to find information on their Facebook page yet they never update it. And the people who help run the team are completely clueless as to what is going on either. Long story short don’t waste your money here and take your kids somewhere else.

Telling the girls that you are tired of looking at them is not good morale building in young girls.

This company allowed my child with special needs to be a part of a team. They PROMISED ME that she would not be doing anything that would damage her physicallly. They allowed a coach that had been “reprimanded” or so they say make child do acro, causing to her to be on Valium and pain medication for muscle spasms. I was emailed and told last year she wouldnt be doing ANY ACRO PER DOCTORS ORDERS AND CHAMPIONS IN MOTION LEVEL TWO CITERIA.Email from CHAMPIONS IN MOTION... We do understand that your daughter has had some health issues in the past and we DO NOT want that to happen again. However, you have said that she does have clearance from her doctors to participate in class minus any tumble. With her being in Level 2 that should not be an issue, as there is no tumble allowed in a level 2 routine. THAT IS A DIRECT QUOTE FROM THIS COMPANY representative. They also have a this same coach that humiliates these children and allow her to continue working, with children. Apparently they do NOT care about a child, they care about that dollar. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS COMPANY!When told I would take my kid to her ortho doctor I was offered everything in the world such as free classes etc Our next stop will be an attorneys office. We don’t need free classes. I needed a coach and team that understood she didn’t need to physically or mentally belittle my child or anyone else’s. The ALMIGHTY dollar speaks volumes!!!So per the response I get back from rep I talked to was nothing was offered... yes. As a matter of fact it was when I was offered to have her finish out this cheer season and I told her I wanted NOTHING else to do with CIM! I look forward to this being resolved as well. We have a doctors appointment next week. Now I don’t plan to be in a pissing match with CIM but I do look forward to the outcome of this. If an investigation is going to be done I would love to have a sit down discussion about the results, just as I will when we see her doctor. This could have very easily paralyzed my daughter who ONLY wanted to be a partner of a team not physically and mentally humiliated in front of her peers by this coach who knew better!!! Has known better!!!! And I hope to NEVER find a child has been declined a chance to be a part of a team bc of disability.Does anyone need a level 2 uniform, summer shorts set or poms at a deal?

I am very disappointed with this company. Terrible communication!! No call-no show for two weeks now! My kids are super upset. And to top it off... we just ordered & received their karate outfits and they never got to wear them to class because the instructor never showed. Finally, I was informed by the lady at our rec dept that they had received (2 weeks after the last class they attended) an email stating that karate was over for there season! We were literally told at the last class that karate would be every Friday until September, by a lady that works with this company. We will not be back!

We absolutely love CIM Burlington Cheer. I have 2 daughters and they breathe cheer life. Our coach Heather Fahnrich is simply Amazing. She has 7 different levels of girls to coach and each one receives the best of her. The cost is affordable when you compare it to gymnastics and dance. This prepares the girls for trying out with their middle and high school cheer teams. Well be cheering until graduation in which I have 7 more years before the first one ages out, but my 2 year old is already a Pixie in training.Cheer Mom.4 Life..Love CIM Love BC

I have both of my girls with BC CIM and we have been with this company for 9 years now my girls are in love with the program and love their coach Heather. This company and Heather have been a big part of their growth and building of their chatarcter. We look forward to many more years with them and our wonderful family at BC cheer. The fees are minimum compared to other similar companoes. Wouldnt trade our experience for the world!!

Absolutely horrible. My daughter cheers with this company well actually as of NOW she will no longer be cheering with the company. Everything about this place is horrible. The coaches are all about self they arent consistent and display very little interest in the kids. I spoke with someone in the Cary office and not 1 or 2 but the entire office staff was very rude and disrespectful and not helpful at all. This is the most selfish organization Ive ever encounter not to mention a total rip off when it comes to the very expensive uniforms and the high cost of competition registration fees. Stay very very far away from this place especially the wake forest location

Lets see where do I begin with this company. For one their coaches are disrespectful and will steal another teams routine and try to play it off as their own. They tried to say that there were rules for summer showcase when for the past 3 years I have been with this company there have been no rules. Come on really my girls will never be back with this company as long as I am living. Trying to raise prices especially when a parent is trying to exchange a childs uniform with the tag still on it. Oh yeah when it comes to competitions they sit there and talk about other teams while they are performing. They really need to learn to build the teams up instead of trying to ruin their performances. It is time to grow up and be adults. You wont get another dime of my money.

We signed up at our local park and Rec office for cheer. I was put off from the start. Things started racking up that I thought didn’t make sense.First, I was quite disappointed that I could not watch my daughter during practice so I could help her practice at home, considering this is competitive cheerleading and she’s 6 years old. How can anyone expect a 6 year old to practice on their own with out reinforcement from an adult? I’m not sure if this is the coach’s rule or CIM rule. We could take a cellphone video at the end of practice, but in all honestly I wouldn’t be sure what she was supposed to do (was that turn left or right?? Etc)While it’s $8 a week the Pom poms and Pom tags are additional, the uniform is $108, and you are expected to do a “fundraiser” of at least $30 or so to fund your child’s t-shirt and bow for competition. All I expected was registration and $8 a week because the flier that went home didn’t mention it was competitive cheerleading and I had pompoms shoved in my face during registration and had a hard time telling my 6 year old no when the woman selling them said that when they sold out they’d be hard to get... I thought it was cheer for fun. It’s really not that cost effective. Each level has a different uniform as well. And competitions range from $40-$60 and so far there is 2 a season. None of that was explicitly stated when I registered, I found it out as I went along. Our coach is OK. I think that most of my qualms are with the organization as a whole. It seems quite unorganized and I think that our coach needed an assistant coach, for starters. And I think she went above and beyond what was expected as a coach like having t-shirts printed and bows made - I think this should be a CIM gig not a coach duty. The kicker for me was our first competition where my husband and I witnessed the older girls squads doing stunts they had no business doing. There wasn’t sufficient spotters, girls were getting dropped, and even kicked in the face. It wasn’t even one team. It was several. For the love of safety, I would not let my daughter cheer with Champions in Motion beyond level 1 as it is apparent the coaches either haven’t a clue what they are doing or have no regard for the girls safety in mind, whatsoever. This is our first and last season with CIM. We will be moving to pop warner from here or a gym for cheer.

STAY AWAY!!!! If you are looking for an all around good company to cheer for, than you will definitely want to stay away from this one. Coaches are great however; The people at the main office claim to have the childrens best interest at hand and that they are all about teaching good values and such and yet all they display is disrespect, discrimination, cheating, and bending the rules to suit their wants & needs and I could go on and on.when you sign your children up for things such as cheer or any sport for that matter, you do so knowing that you will not win every game, event, or championship. But you go into it with the expectation that things will be kept fair no matter what and all the rules will be followed. Well just this past weekend that was not the case, and it was very evident to everyone present. Just because the owner had a personal vendetta against our Head Coaches brother who just so happened to be our choreographer also, he decided early on that our girls were not going to place no matter how good they did compared to the other teams. I say this because our D5 girls killed their routine with only a .5 deduction and they did so well that MULTIPLE people (including the top winners/placers as well) approached us and told us that we shouldve been on that stage instead of them. And they were even willing to sign a petition for us. This SO CALLED PROFESSIONAL cheer company wouldnt even give us our scores sheets. Now some ppl will say that Im just being a sore loser and thats ok because you dont know all the details. So on top of that as if it isnt enough, this company has always treated us as the outcast being that our group and coaches are one of the very few minority groups with CIM. When it came time for awards at the end of our sessions our girls got the crappy medals while other locations received the nicer shiny medals and I know this to be fact because the main office accidentally shipped the wrong box to us by mistake (or possibly intentionally, just to get under our coaches skin... who knows. B/C I truly believe they are just that dirty).Sorry for the long rant...but I want anyone interested in reading true statements to have facts about this company before you think about signing your children up with this horrible company.

My son has been attending karate classes consistently with this company for the last five years. Under the previous senseis, we loved it. There was never any confusion as to what was going on with the student, as the senseis made it a point to keep parents informed. However, now that we have had a revolving door of senseis, this is not the case anymore. If your child is doing poorly or doesnt pass their belt test, apparently the sensei will talk to the child and not the parent...but they surely will take my money every week! I quite enjoy being embarrassed when I show up to a promotion ceremony and am asked why Im there because everyone BUT ME is aware that my child did not pass his test. I am disappointed in the direction in which this company has taken and will take my business elsewhere. It took me almost a year to get the bo staff I ordered and I only got it because the admin staff had to call and complain! My calls and emails were ignored.Your admin staff at the Jacksonville location is amazing, but your sensei leaves much to be desired. I thank them for their hard work and devotion. We will truly miss them, but we will continue our karate education with senseis that actually seem to care about not only their students, but also keeping their parents in the loop, as I am the one paying for the lessons and driving my child there...I kinda need to know what is going on with my child.I made mention to the admin staff my displeasure with the sensei and was told that it would be discussed with him, but he doesnt seem to care, as my comment on our CIM page about not returning was liked by the sensei. So we will be going with our previous senseis at their new dojo.

Horrible horrible shady company. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY! Complete sham! The company owners only have their bottom line in interest, under the rouse of a non profit. They do not care in the slightest for their instructors or clients. They are completely comfortable with allowing sub par potentially dangerous instruction, in inadequate compromising facilities just to make a buck. They lure in good hearted instructors, put them in morally detrimental situations, lie about compesation, and prefer to hire equipment sale mens rather than quality instructors. Oh and parents, dont think well its a reduced cost program, but what is the cost really? You will be asked to be parent helpers as they will over book all classes, provided one instructor if youre lucky, (mind you that instructor is expected to run an over packed class, sign the kids in and out, do all the accounting, sell equipment and somehow still fuction.) Hahaha so the parent helpers will be recruited, without a backroom check, to handle you money on intake, help with class instruction, tie little johnnys belt a little to excitedly because no one has verified this parent helper as a non crime or anything. Well he has a student in class, must be a good guy right. I could write a book about the back ads shady operations of this company. Has anyone looked into why this company changes its name ALL THE TIME. Young champions of America /champions in motions......same crock of bull. Do yourself a favor, dont allow your children to be anywhere near this questionable company.
