Terrible service. Extremely rude personnel, from route carrier to entire front desk staff at this office.It’s a shame because I always gave a couple hundred bucks to my route carrier in CA over the course of a year for various holidays. Service in Cary is with attitude, they don’t even have to deliver to the door and definitely won’t, and claim to deliver packages that my security cameras prove were never delivered.Not sure if we should pay more money to hire better people or defund and switch to Amazon for national logistics/mail service.

It’s a US Post Office. The employees are friendly and patient, unlike the majority of these Google reviewers.Of course you will have to wait in line. Would help if everyone showed up prepared with appropriate packaging and labeling that didn’t require the staff stare and wait as you complete your paperwork that could have been done earlier resulting in a 5 minute window visit turning into a 10 minute visit.Everyone calm down and be thankful you live in a place for 50 cents you can send a birthday card to grandma on the other side of the country. If you don’t like the post office, go to FedEx or UPS and pay more for a shorter wait.They have a 24 hour self service postage system, tons of PO Boxes, and keep the place clean and bright. Worth it.Have a nice day.

They were so kind and knowledgeable and made what could have been a stressful situation, run smoothly and effortlessly. On 12/03/2020 I ordered two book of stamps so I could mail my holiday cards. I thought it would be better and faster than standing in line with people and their packages indoors during a pandemic. Ive just received a text message that my stamps may arrive today 12/15/2020. How can it take 12 days for the USPS to deliver their own product? Very disappointing.

Staff is always helpful and pleasant, like they enjoy doing their work. Sometimes the parking lot is full but if you circle back around youll find a space. There used to be more drop boxes outside and super convenient to drive up and drop your mail without having to get out of the car. I wish they had wheelchair accessible doors, though because there are two sets of doors to go through to get into the lobby. So my quibbles are with the logistics, not the staff.

The front end staff at this location handle their day with grace and professionalism.For example, the day after Columbus day I watched a patron arrive with a hundred flat rate boxes or more. The fun and stuff provided alternative faster and more efficient ways to mail them rather than at the desk. The patron however wanted them posted at the desk and wanted a receipt for acceptance at the post office.This patrons choice had a snowball effect. Despite this the staff did their best the other kiosks to work efficiently and timely. I never saw a rolled eye or heard a sigh from them despite the harsh words and complaints from other patrons.USPS as an organization is lacking in many ways but this particular post office and its staff are doing everything in their personal power to assist and care for our community.

The woman I spoke with named Pam was extremely rude. I inquired about a package that did not arrive in my mailbox and she proceeded to get an attitude with me, treat me like a child and was unwilling to help. She just kept saying its in my mailbox. If it was in my mailbox, I wouldnt be speaking to you. Just awful service and would not recommend this place of business to anyone. Go to another USPS where they treat you with some decency.

Cary postal service is not honest and is not trustful. Previously they lost my package and presently they lost my mail. I am telling you there is not any problem from warehouse. All package mails scan then move forward in system. If mail package error then worker report to warehouse supervisor and it will not in system. If mail package in system must be deliver on right place. Fire carrier if he she put wrong place.

My package tracking said it was accepted at this location and after 8 -10 days I did not receive the package. It was worth 120 dollars. So I decided to go to this post office and waited in line for about 45 mins. The manager did not even get the tracking number from me and he blindly said the package was not received. When I asked him about the status the tracking is showing, he asked me to ignore and said that’s not right. Not sure how he was so confident without even looking into my tracking number. Anyways, it was a terrible experience. I reached out to the sender to re-process my order.

The staff at this location are so helpful and kind. We went today for a passport service which is appointment only. Everything is done in 10-15 mins, however later we realized that we have given a wrong check and was worried that the passport might get rejected and then there will be another hassle. However I went back to the USPS counter and explain my issue, the lady (cant remember the name) was very empathetic and talk to Julia (our passport consulate) behind the door. Julia was so helpful and kind that she came out from the lunch break and rectify the new check for the passport. Thanks a lot for the good deed, you guys save our day.

I had a package that wasn’t delivered due to it having my maiden name listed. I called this post office to try to have my package delivered before it was sent back to the sender. They immediately contacted the person that completes our route and I received TWO follow up calls to make sure my package was delivered. They were very kind, responsive, and helpful!

The most courteous, helpful and knowledgeable staff I could imagine. They facilitate my shipments with ease: Quickly generating a printed quote on a post office receipt for my first EBay shipment, calling a forward distribution center on a shipment delayed there, allowing me to scan a shipment label. Great!

Customer service at this store is excellent! I read the reviews that have been left previously and .most reviews for this store are not even about the store or its employees, but the USPS system in general. A woman working here, I believe here name is Lorraine, went ABOVE AND BEYOND expectations. I ordered a package online and it went to my address from 4 years ago. It said online undeliverable return to sender, as my forwarding system had expired. I rushed to the post office that afternoon and spoke with a very nice and polite woman who asked me to write down my tracking number and she would try to find it for me but she was not sure if she would be able to do so as those packages get returned to the sender very quickly. This woman had to search through a lot of mail, but the very next morning, another employee there called me and said they had found my package! I was able to come pick it up, very quickly, and was serviced with picking up my package from the very back of the line of customers there for other needs. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. 10/10!!!

I live out of town, but had a package sent to my daughter in Cary. It was having trouble making it to her apartment as she also has a fowarding order for a new house she just purchased, but has not moved into. I called because it had been out for delivery twice but never made it to either location. The clerk I spoke with was very kind and actually spoke with the carrier about the package and assured me that it would be sent to her current address as soon as possible. She went above and beyond my expectations.

Thank you to the wonderful counter ladies at this post office location! Each time I come in the line is long, but they are actively working at least 3 counters + a lady is asking each person coming in what they need, as she can speedily assist with stamps or package drop-offs. Very busy location, but they help and always with a smile! And the help more than any other post office I have been to throughout 5 states. Thank you ladies!

I have a package that has been missing and undelivered since December 8th, I filed a case online for it and it was sent to this location to be resolved. I called on three separate occasions and spoke to Thomas one of their supervisors. All three times they took my name address and phone number stating he would contact me back, still have not heard anything and they are putting no effort into finding my package or remedying the situation the package was supposed to be here for Christmas and they have shown zero importance to my case. Terrible customer service and very disappointing especially considering the lack of care is coming from a supervisor.

UPDATE. Its now the following Monday after 3 day should have arrived and packages still has not ben delivered.I paid for 3 day shipping and package has still not been delivered 7 days later. Asked for money back and they said it wasnt garanteed and everything is delayed because of the epidemic.WELL the epidemic has been going on over a month and I am pretty certain they new when they took my $ that it wouldnt be on time.

Purchased postage at the kiosk to mail a package and then discovered the package drop door was locked. No way to mail a package on a Saturday afternoon and no sign indicating how to get it mailed. Had to go to the Morrisville location just to drop off the package. The lobby is usually dirty and the whole building looks pretty run down. I recommend avoiding this location unless you just need to buy stamps.

Lost my mail for government business on multiple occasions. Never attempt to do any sort of important work through this organization. Even with tracking numbers they somehow manage to lose anything you take to them. Once I received a returned tracked letter 4 months later just to add further insult it seems.

The worst post office EVER! I live in an apartment building with an elevator. All of the mail is sorted in our mail room. I constantly get other peoples mail in my inbox. The postman NEVER delivers a package to my door (and the elevator would make it so easy for him to do so) and this is the second time in 3 months that I ordered something that I was charged for that was never delivered to me, although the tracking shows the packages went to the Cary Post office. After that, I get no notification that my package was delivered and its never in my package delivery box. This falling off of the truck scheme has gone on long enough. Calling them doesnt give you more than lip service. Im calling my congressman. Something is seriously wrong with this post office.

If you are there after 5:00pm, even though you arrived before, they will rush you out; constantly asking you are you ready. If you are working on organizing a few packages, it can be a distraction. This time I had a few packages to be sent priority and one overseas; no priority envelope, just the priority tape they use. They were all chatting so much that the person who was taking care of me neglected to send the overseas item priority, meaning that there is no tracking on the package. I looked at the receipt before leaving, but only to check that all of my items were sent, not whether they were priority, because I requested all to be sent priority. Today, when I saw that there was one item on the receipt that was not sent priority I thought that since it was sent overseas , maybe there was a policy in place that I didnt know about. I called the office today at 1:00pm, and the manager who I spoke with told me that she didnt know whether a package could be sent priority overseas. I thought that was weird, but mostly dishonest. I simply called another post office and without any thought or delay the manager I spoke with told me, absolutely, a package can be sent priority overseas. I thought so, but the manager at the post office where my package was sent, kept telling me that all packages under a certain weight are sent First Class. I asked her, even if I requested priority? How does that work really? Basically she lied about all of this, and I called her back to tell her that I spoke to one of her colleagues who was obviously aware of generic Post Office protocol. My resolve is that the person who was talking so much to his colleagues, was not paying attention to what he was doing at the end of day, and the manager I spoke with did not want to get involved with any possible complaints about it. I have no tracking on my very important package and there is nothing I can do about it. Now I have to really check their work going forward, even though I thought I had checked the details on the receipt. I saw that the package details were on there, but I did not see or pay attention to the fact that the tracking number was not on a list with 6 other items that had priority status on the receipt. When I saw tracking numbers on every other item, I didnt bother to look again, especially since I saw the details of the overseas package listed.

My Two day shipping turned into 3 because my package had not yet been sorted by the end of the day of arrival.... even though it arrived in the building early morning, and they wont let me pick it up at the location until they have sorted it...Sure...I understand...maybe they are that busy...,but maybe hire more people? 8 hours in a day should be enough to at least sort it to where I can come pick it up in the building.

The mail counter clerks are always friendly and courteous and have been quite helpful with assisting me with many shipments over the past year and I am truly grateful for their patience. This is my preferred post office especially when I ship my packages. I have never had any of my packages get lost. Keep up the good work, we appreciate you! :)

This PO is not as bad as most people describe it. If you dont want to wait in a line come earlier in the day. There are issues in this PO that keep it from being as good as others like Morrisville. A) You have a demographic of clerks who are past the mid-point of their careers. They need to do more to rotate staff and get younger people up front. Reassign these veterans around and break up the club. They will focus on their jobs more. B) Management Issues, from what I have seen directly the clerks at the front desk are directed to not step outside of the box, stay at your station and do as you are told. You might have four or five people waiting for pickups and only one clerk assigned for that, and you have a number of clerks not servicing customers. Although today I did see someone step outside of the box and offer to help track packages out of the back. People perform better when they feel empowered. The work culture in this branch does need updating. C) Sometimes Sloppy work: It seems at least once a month we get mail addressed to the wrong house, even the wrong street. D) Confused or dishonest parcel delivery: If you have a package that needs to be signed for, we have seen the package carrier just mark that they could not deliver the package and left a notice. In fact they never came to the house and never left the notice. Either they were confused and went to the wrong house, or they missed the package and realized when they got back. Either way, postal records were falsified. E) Letter carriers: I generally have a good experience with our normal letter carriers. They have a tough job and other than the occasional wrong address delivery, I have no concerns at least about our carrier(s). F) Phone customer service: Its terrible. If you get through on the phone and leave a message, dont expect a call back. You might get a call back. But the number of folks assigned to answer phones is clearly inadequate.This is not the worst PO in the country. But it has a lot of work to do. Go there with plenty of time to spare. Be nice and courteous and things could go better for you than you think.

If you can go somewhere else, I recommend you do. I waited a half hour in line, spoke to two employees TWICE during that time as to why I was there. When I finally got totally he front desk, they told me I had to go to a different location. Are you kidding me? When I spoke to the manager about it, she said the employees arent trained to know about those services. Why even have them ask if they dont know anything about why Im there? Very disappointing.

I am so fed up with the mail carriers that are subbing for our regular mail carrier,, they trod across our lawn and make a regular foot path,, doesnt matter if you ask them to not walk across the lawn,, they get an attitude and say it is faster to cut across.Today the sub which just happen to be a lady driver drove across our sidewalk and lawn and tore up freshly laid sod and new seed, that had been covered with wheat straw,, when she spun off , she tore up a lot of the work that we had spent much of the day on to keep our lawn looking nice.. the sod had to be relaid and the soil put back in place,, the supervisors need to have a training sessions with their employees about respecting the property of the home owners .If they dont like their job, then find a new one,,,,,

I find the staff here to be extremely friendly. They are overworked for sure, but I think that they are good workers and very competent. I did have issues with sending a package back but it was eventually found so that is good. The staff make up for any inadequacies. If you are kind, people are kind back, so be kind.

Got notice that they attempted to deliver my package and it now being held at the post office for me to pick up. I work the only hours they are open. 2 problems with their attempted to deliver story, my partner works from home and I have a camera. No one even approached our home when they apparently attempted to deliver. And because its the post office, it doesnt even matter because there is nothing to do about their horrible service.

I run a small business and this post office picks up several hundred packages per week from my home. My carrier, Jimmy, as well as the substitute carriers, are always helpful and cheerful in spite of often having to make an extra trip to my home at the end of the day. The VP who manages that branch, Preston Mitchell, should be commended for having exceptional customer service skills and an impressive work ethic. On the rare occasion when I have run into a problem, this man responds almost immediately and resolves the issue. On one occasion, he responded to an e-mail regarding a late pick-up while with a sick family member at the hospital and made sure that a truck was on the way! Im blown away at the incredible level of customer service this branch provides.

This is the Michelin restaurant of USPSs. Don’t pay attention to the 1 star ratings. I believe they’re talking about delivery or something. The staff at this USPS is so excellent, I decided to go out of my way and write a review for them. The line was long, but I was out of there in 3 minutes. Thought I’d be in there longer considering the line, but it was fast.Also, even though they’re so busy, the staff is all so courteous and friendly. I got in at 4:50PM but no one seemed to be worried about the long line of last minute visitors. The staff who helped me even apologized for “the wait” as he said it, which was really not a problem at all. A Gentleman, like Jonathan Joestar (where my anime fans at??). Probably one of the best USPS’s I’ve been to.

They do not deliver parcel on first floor. In last one week I had 2 parcels scheduled to deliver (on different days) and someone was at home all the time through out on the day of deliveries. But all I got was Missed you note in my mailbox.I scheduled the re-delivery but that also did not help.Now I have no option but spend my hour to go and pickup from USPS office in cary.Other mails deliveries are okay on same address. I moved into my new house over 4 MONTHS ago. I submitted a change of address the day I moved in. To this day, they have not managed to deliver me mail here. I emailed, called customer service, and even physically showed up at the post office more than once to sort things out. Still nothing. Now they were unable to deliver a package to my address for no good reason. I showed up in hopes of picking it up myself... they could not find it nor figure out where it went. They promised to call me later that day to once they figured it out, never called. Showed up again the next day, same deal, could not find it, promised they will call, for sure this time, nothing. That was 5 days ago. Still no call, still no online tracking update (last update was 9 days ago saying sorting complete), and of course, still no package. I am tired of being mad. I will simply instruct everyone sending a package to use UPS (or any other competent service) and pray that no one sends me any time-sensitive mail for... the rest of my life?

Even the postal inspectors must be on it because they never follow up or call back. The sign says make an appointment on the door. I took a chance and rang the bell. The lady that answered the door said she was able to take us right away. We were done in 10 minutes at the most. I think it did help to be prepared and go during a slow time. Bring all the correct paperwork which makes it much easier for them to process you fast. The lady that helped us today was specifically nice, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable.

On numerous occasions, tracking has said that I’ve gotten packages deliver to my front door , and I got nothing, it shows delivered. When I call they claim that they will call me back and never do, last time this happened the mail carrier had it in their truck for weeks before I hit it, very poor customer service

Be aware they are Thieves. They say my package was delivered and they never put them in mailbox. They have a super scam going on and the managers are covering it all up. Even the postal inspectors must be on it because they never follow up or call back. Be carful. No more Usps

Beware !!!! I havent had such an experience with USPS except for this post office . Unfortunately for the address where I live , this address is serviced by this post office . I havent received my drivers license - thanks to USPS mishandling . They do not deliver your drivers license and quoted me some identity-theft risks bs !! How come I received my license at the same address earlier but now now on the renewal ... They were asking if that was a new address .. Incredible - they do not know the address they service ???Because I am receiving other mail at this address.I wanted to give it 0 stars but Google wont allow me to . Disgruntled - depressed and frustrated !!!

I cant get in contact with ANYBODY at this facility. I have two packages with missed scans and wanted to see if I could drop in to the store to pick them up.The phone number provided leads to the least helpful automated answering system Ive ever encountered. It begs for you to please take our survey! we care what you think before you even are able to input your choices from a main menu. There is NO option to speak to a person, you have to repeatedly ask while the fake voice on the other line claims that, Our agents have no more tracking information available! Please wait an hour and four minutes until someone is available. If I never have to speak to USPS again,Id be happy.

Carrier pigeons would be faster and more accurate. I signed up for delivery notifcations and not once did I receive a single update. Ive had to track my package myself by repeatedly refreshing the tracking history page which was only ever updated once every couple of weeks. Never received an expected delivery date and had to guess for when one of my packages would arrive. Turns out I missed by a day and they tried to deliver it the day before and never told me. Instead of attempting to redeliver it the next day they decided to just hold it at the post office and wait for me to come pick it up. Again no updates or notifications. Also no options for presigning online.

The dumbest group of people Ive ever dealt with can be found at the Post Office in Cary NC on Wren Drive. These government employees are the rudest, and most stereotypical workers you could imagine. How can somebody openly hate their job so much on a daily basis and not be reprimanded? No wonder the mail is never delivered and the problem is somehow always your fault.

Terrible post office. Theyre rude and dont care about the job. Our post lady constantly gives us the wrong mail and when told they just shrug and go...we know. Claims of packages being delivered or attempted delivery when no such thing happens and it suddenly appears at the post office when questioned.

Me and my coworkers were taking priority mail boxes to ship through USPS and Dean Roberts (the Post Master)told us that we could not take them unless we are going to use them for its intended purpose. We said that we knew that but he insisted that we were going to use the boxes to make a sled of some sort for the snow. After we assured him that we were not going to abuse the boxes he rudely demanded to see our IDs. We then asked why and he responded by threatening to call the police. We were equally shocked as we were offended. We put back the boxes and left, having to ship through a different service, and delaying our business.

The mailman who was supposed to deliver my package was supposed to return it to the post office because I was not home. Instead he lied on my Postal sheet and said he returned it and instead kept the package. In essence the post office spent time looking for something that was never returned. They wouldnt even contact him to see if it was on the truck. No maam you just have to wait. No reprimand for falsifying documentation. They JUST DONT CARE! At your own risk!

The service is terrible. I have a box to send overseas, the supervisor did not give me any suggestion about it, and said the counter will give me the option. When I got to the counter, the counter just gave me the price and let me step back. I have another box which was mailed in July, it has not been received yet! When I ask the count if she could help me to track, she even doesnt listen to me! Just said go ask the supervisor! Avoid this place if you have other choices.

Absolutely awful customer service. I called with a simple question that the lady did not seem to understand. I tried to ask politely for her to continue discussing the matter so she would understand the situation, but she hung up on me. Absolutely no regards for the importance of their job.

Never had a problem at this post office. Every time I have been in there I have been helped with no attitudes as others have mentioned. Packages are fine and my postman who delivers to my apartment complex from this office is the best post office worker ever! He will stop loading boxes to give you your packages and mail personally and learns faces and addresses QUICK. Overall, I am very happy with every aspect of this post office. Maybe some of the negative reviews are from folks who want things right now, I dunno. There are lines and slow times in their office occasionally, but generally no more than any other wait or situation you would encounter in other government offices. Considering the cut backs they have had, I completely understand how the process can be slow at times or occasional bad attitude. But that is life, take a breath and relax. We all have our good and bad days.

I had a package coming from Ebay. The tracking information from the post office said they delivered it. I did not get it. I called the post office and gave them the tracking number and asked them to check into it. They said they would call me. It has been 5 business days and i have heard nothing, I tried to call and again and it is busy.
