Best auto service i ever experienced. Friendly and just a great auto service company.

First and foremost, I want to start by saying Ive interacted with a great deal of mechanics and have a negative bias sometimes towards mechanics. Are they being honest? Are they trying to milk me for all I have? As cynical as I can be, Curtis Townsend has gained my trust. My car was in bad shape, to the brink of death. Curtis went through everything he saw and explained why my car wasnt a lost cause. Based on our conversation, and what my options were, I decided I could trust this guy.Normally, in my experiences, and based on the damage I create with vehicles, I fully expected to wait at least a week. Curtis had it done in a day. The parts I needed were accessible and he didnt have to guess; he just knew, so there were no guessing games over the right parts. I have an old car, I know how it goes sometimes.The car now runs smoothly as though no damage even occurred and is safe to drive.Curtis worked within my budget and didnt try to surprise me with anything. I know how when a job starts something unexpected always pops up. That wasnt my experience here.Thank you, Curtis. Thank you so much. Because of you I still have a ride to work.I highly recommend Townsend based on my experience with him. 10/10.

When I look for a mechanic I dont look for just a business.I look for a mechanic thats still enjoys being a mechanic. Someone That still enjoys working on cars, and Townsend has race cars for years and years and years so you can tell hes still loves what he does for a living. Ive shopped his prices over the years and was quickly shown that shopping around was a waste of time. Just a great shop with great people and prices.

I called Curtis Townsend two weeks ago to have some work done on my 79 Corvette, he told me he was backed up and call him on Friday, August 3 to set an appointment for my car. I called him today, he was very rude and didn’t really want to hear what I had to say. He told me today he didn’t have time for me and he wasn’t gonna look at my car. So basically he wasted two weeks of my life letting me think he was going to make an appointment for my car today. I ran a business for 10 years if I treated people like that I wouldn’t of lasted. It’s a shame. I’m just putting it out there to let people know what kind a guy Curtis Townsend is.

I would rate 0 stars if it would let me. Maybe ok for an oil change, but not anything major. Tried him for transmission work. First time in he had the truck for 3 weeks. Cost $1800. It broke down in 3 days. Made the mistake of towing it back to Townsend.Had our truck for 3 more months. Only got updates if you called. The answer was always that he was waiting on a part. After 2 months he said the part just got in. A month later, he said it was the wrong part and he couldnt get the part. Then he wanted to put in a whole transmission. We gave up. We towed the truck to Trans-Plus. Got it back in 3 days. Runs great.
