Thank you so much for figuring out how to treat Heisen. He had been fine since we got him a month and a half ago and then all of a sudden had a high fever and was shaking and sleeping and not eating. Hes only about three months old so it had been even scarier for his little body, but I called and told the techs what was happening and we were seen within thirty minutes. He was treated and then we went home. Sadly, the med didnt work for him (NOT the vets fault, some meds dont work for certain kitties) and we came back the next day. The new meds work great and he is fever-free, eating on his own, getting up, using the bathroom, etc. If not for you we couldve lost our second cat in a week, after losing one to kidney disease this past Monday we were so happy we could bring Heisen home to his twin brother Ethan and keep everyone happy and healthy. Still on the mend of course for Heisen, but each hour has been better than the last. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GUYS!I was in and out within 2 hours after his treatments were completed, your techs treated my little baby like your own and your vets were compassionate and kind.(The photo below is Ethan cuddling as the big spoon for Heisen after Heisen was finally starting to feel better.)Thank your staff again, it was so nice to have an ER vet care so much!

My dog was found and brought here. He was hit by something pretty hard on the head. The doctor said he had nerve damage and was not looking to good on the recovery side. SThey kept pushing for him to be euthanized. My father and I were so heartbroken and didnt want him suffering. He was in bad shape when we arrived. They gave us the price and immediately said the room was ready when we pay. Luckily my husband saw the price and said NOPE. We ended up calling another hospital and scheduled him an appointment with the other hospital. They originally told us that we didnt have to pay since thre was no consent from either one of us. The lady at the front desk told us we had to pay for two services that was done before we even arrived. Her pitch was that they took off an x-ray service to make it cheaper. Everything was very confusing and they were rude. We paid and left. When we arrived at the other hospital, the doctor said he had a concussion and he will recover well with time. We were SO greatful for this other hospital. North Texas emergency pet hospital was going to kill our dog for no reason!!! They really wanted our money. Would not recommend. My dog is walking, eating, drinking and using the bathroom right now. He is getting better day by day with no meds or surgery given.

Words can’t express how great these guys really are. The woman on the phone was very helpful and understanding as I was somewhat distraught. My pup Daisy had an allergic reaction to something and was feeling miserable. They took her right away and after the she got the shots she needed they spent some extra time making sure she was doing better. Happy to say she’s home safe and sound. Still slightly swollen but making good on her recovery. Thank you so much!

Our cat had surgery on Thursday and by Saturday evening she had pulled some of her stitches out. Called the ER. They explained the wait time and protocol with covid. I was fine with all of it. We got there, we were checked in and within fifteen minutes a technician came out and took KitKat into the office. It was maybe only another ten minutes and we were called again to come into a room. The technician was so kind and patient with us. The vet came in shortly after to explain what he planned to do. Long story short, we were done within 90 minutes from the time of checkin to check out. I appreciate the focus they put on KitKat knowing there were other animals in there ahead of us. The vet was very informative and answered all of our questions. This isn’t my first time to this ER, have always used them after hours for our pets and they have always provided excellent customer service and care of our pets.

I am very thankful that North Texas emergency pet clinic in Carrollton was open when my little 2 Maltese Maltese babies were very ill. I was so worried about them, But as soon as I got there they were so quick and responsive to take the best care for both if my babies. Arden quickly admitted them and the nurse Ashley came to check on them and quickly brought them in for treatment. Dr. Bridges was very professional and was quick to communicate their diagnosis and advise me on their treatment, He took every precaution to ensure they received the best treatment. Have nothing but amazing things to say about this clinic. They have helped many family dogs of mine and have always done the very best job. Our pup had an allergic reaction and they were fast, helpful, so nice, and willing to do whatever they could to help our sweet puppy. They gave me a sense of calmness after I was so worried about our pup and having anxiety myself. Will continue coming here anytime I need too for the exceptional service!

Ive received more compassion from a used car dealer. Ive also spent less on a used car. We love our pets and we do whatever it takes. These folks see that and rake you over the coals. If this is your only option, take it. But be warned, they are in for the money. Go to the 24/7 pet hospital in Grapevine where you can what you need along with some compassion and respect for the owners situation.

So grateful they saved the life of my little hound. I’ve used this clinic several times for weekend/after hours emergencies and I truly trust them to do an amazing and thorough job. Plus, I have probably broke down crying ~10 times with every single staff member on the phone or in person now and I appreciate the compassion. Great staff, every single person. Also some people have worked there for many years which also demonstrates that it’s a quality place. Also, I just don’t see a huge difference in price compared to our other vet. I waited too long to take my dog in thinking he was ok and we nearly lost him. I would recommend anyone if you think ANYTHING is wrong with your pet, don’t hesitate and get in here immediately, the price truly is about the same as other high quality clinics. My dog had a very complex and difficult to diagnose issue, and I felt like the doctors really knew their stuff and did everything possible as soon as they could to narrow down what was a very mysterious problem.I hope to not HAVE to be back soon, but if needed I’m not waiting too long again and will absolutely be back.

I believe in honest reviews. So here’s my experience:Extremely displeased with the experience I had for my puppy this past weekend. They charge you an extreme amount for anything that needs to be done, and make you feel ashamed when you tell them you can’t afford what they want you to get done. A few of the staff members were great but there was also quite a few who gave us attitude when we were scared for our puppy. We were constantly being told two completely different things at almost every question we had, example: we asked one person if at home treatment was possible for our puppy and the first lady said absolutely not, that there’s no such thing for Parvovirus. The second lady who was actually nice and understanding said of course. We asked if there’s anything else we need for at home treatment and was told no that we have everything, but then they come back and said we need all these things that was going to cost another $400 before leaving after already paying almost $500 just to find out what’s wrong with her. Once we declined it saying we can’t afford it at all and was already told we have everything we need, a different lady had us sign a form for declining recommended treatment. Before I signed, that same lady said in a snobby tone “do you want me to read it out to you?” Before I could even reply, she started reading it making me feel like I’m purposely putting my puppy threw hell for not doing what I can’t afford, at this point I’m balling and the lady still is reading and having a snobby tone and her body language showed the same attitude.

They were friendly and respectful, but i brought my cat in telling them that she was stumbling and showed them a video of her trying to walk, she may have gotten into some kind of medicine or something toxic. after i had told them that, they did not run blood work, but just felt around her hips and back and decided that since she wasn’t moving and she was crying that she had some kind of injury. she is a very anxious cat and does not like strangers so she shuts down, hisses and cried. they had wanted to do X-Rays but i didn’t have the money for it at the time and decided i was going to take her to her normal vet if the medicine they gave her didn’t work. the next day she was walking just fine, just a little loopy most likely from coming off whatever meds she had taken. by nighttime the next day she was running and playing and jumping with absolutely no problem. they were not thorough and jumped to a conclusion without doing tests. personally, i wouldn’t take her back.

I took my poodle in for possible poisoning, and she was checked in and treatment began immediately. After inducing vomiting to remove any undigested pieces of the pill I thought she might have ingested, the vet gave my dog a more in-depth examination, and determined that the small dose ingested by a sizable dog probably required no further immediate treatment, and that I could take her home and watch her for any symptoms of toxicity (luckily there werent any and she recovered just fine).I have no complaints about the excellent treatment my dog received, and my only complaint is that I wasnt told how long I might have to wait to hear the vets post-examination diagnosis and treatment plan; I would expect it to take 20-30 minutes, but instead I was left in the dark for 75 minutes. Better communication of expected wait times would help to reduce the worry of owners who are already emotionally fraught with concern for the welfare of their pets.

North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic has been my go-to for the urgent care of my pups for more than a decade. They’ve seen us through strange growths, injured paws, illness—you name it—always with knowledge, compassion, and sincerity. The entire staff from receptionist to vet make sure you know that your pet’s care is genuinely their first priority. And it is.Note: Yes, the wait times can be long. But remember, everyone’s pet is here due to an emergency too. While you wait, trust that the staff here are vigilantly looking after your pets while they wait to be seen. I recently had to bring in my pup for inadvertently lunging face-first into a metal table. 🙄🐶 When he was ready to go home, I got a full report of how he acted, his vitals, when he was taken outside for a potty break, etc. before he was ever seen by the vet. Then talked extensively with the doctor who went over her full assessment, treatment plan (immediate and long-term), and what to expect. You don’t want to put your fur-child’s life in the hands of a place that takes a cursory glance just for the sake of wait times, right? Right.

Anyone coming on here to complain about the clinics COIVD policy is being ridiculous. When my dog was in dire need of help this is the ONLY emergency room that did not turn us away. Dr. Bridges, vet tech Kelly and, another Hispanic vet tech, unfortunately I did not get her name, saved my dogs life!! I appreciate that they were willing to take her in without hesitation and did anything they had too. I appreciate these people more than you will ever know!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤ Grateful to know where we can go for great honest care for my dog in an emergency.

So thankful for this emergency vet. My dog had a severe allergic reaction after licking Deet. The doctor was so knowledgeable and they took great care of my pup. He explained everything to me in detail and I felt okay leaving my pup there for the night so they could watch him. The staff were super friendly!

Several years ago, we made the very tough choice to put our dog down since she had been super sick for a while. A friend told me about NTEPC and we went. They were amazing and just so wonderful for our dog and our children. We have since taken 2 more of our pets in emergency situation and again, the staff has gone above and beyond for us and our family. I love this place and would recommend it to ANYONE!!! Thank you guys all so very much!!

What a truly amazing clinic! I brought my bunny here who had stasis. Everyone was very efficient, professional, and listened attentively. I felt so at ease even when I had to leave my girl there overnight. They told me I could call every 3 hours for updates if I wanted and made me feel so at ease. In a time of panic, feeling at ease is priceless. They gave all options and pricing up-front and are very truthful. What an absolute blessing to know I have such a great clinic in the case of an emergency. Cannot recommend them enough. I saw Dr. Fowler, who was great. I also spoke with several techs who were equally as amazing!

Every time we have had to visit this emergency pet clinic you can imagine it’s not for a happy reason, but they’ve always done a great job of giving us great guidance and making us feel comforted even during the most difficult times. This recent experience with Dr Perry was great! She was patient, explained things very clearly, and she also called me after my pets procedure to update me on me to make me feel comfort since I was so worried. Always great service here!

Took great care of my pet. Very clean and well lit waiting area. Was there for several hours bc there was only one doctor (it was a Saturday night) but the time spent waiting was made very pleasant by the staff. Once they saw my dog, who had busted her surgery stitches open, they were very efficient , caring, a communicated very well. Would highly recommend! They even helped me carry my sedated puppy to my car and made sure she was resting comfortably in the backseat. Again, absolutely wonderful place and I really appreciate them!

Not the best experience. I know they were apparently shorthanded. However, we brought our miniature schnauzer at about 3p on a Sunday and we picked her up at 9p because the doctor hadnt seen her and we were given no updates on what was going on. We eventually picked her up and had almost our entire fee we paid re-funded

Thanks for all your help taking care of our dog! Very competent and professional group of people who helped our dog out in stressful situation (foot impaled with a stick, needed emergency surgery). We felt very comfortable entrusting her in your care. Had to wait a few hours to be seen, but it was well worth it. Would definitely come back here (although hopefully we won’t need to)!

They are grossly incompetent. I came in with my dog and even before she took the dog away from my car she “determined” my dog was acting like “a marijuana dog” in her words. I insisted she checked the dog for other things since we absolutely have no drugs whatsoever at our house. She decided that’s what it was nevertheless, running a drug screen on my puppy. After about an hour sitting outside we called to check on the status of the dog. She said: Charlotte here is testing positive for thc. We responded: that’s not Charlotte (our 15 year old dog who passed away), that’s Molly and it’s impossible she has thc since we don’t use drugs. So, sarcastically she responded: yeah yeah you don’t even know your dogs name 😱.She insinuated we were so high we didn’t know our dogs name, when in truth she was looking at the old dogs chart and couldn’t tell the one year old puppy in her hands was not the same 15 year old Charlotte. We left the clinic at 4am with a paper diagnose of marijuana intoxication.Next day we asked to be emailed a copy of the actual lab result. Guess whatttttt? The result is NEGATIVE!!!!!! It reads NEGATIVE!!!!! But they still have her diagnosis as marijuana intoxication. I guess they don’t know how to read a simple urine test and don’t know how to treat people with respect. Who in the world say “sir you don’t even know your dogs name “? Well now we have the lab results. We got a copy emailed to us by the staff who was in the day shift. It’s Negative like we said it would be. Oh, btw, we are having the puppy tested again by our regular vet for even more proof of their incompetence (and we will have two negative tests at hand) before we take action to rectify what happened to us. My dog could have died of whatever was the real cause of her symptoms (not walking, lethargic) and they never checked for anything else other than drugs. I’m appalled!

My neighbor needed an emergency vet and I took her to North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic. Unfortunately there was nothing to be done for her cat. They were so kind & thoughtful when it was time to say goodbye to her cat. Pet emergencies always seem to happen on a weekend when your vet is closed. Should you need emergency care I recommend this facility.

I brought my husky in. He was diagnosed with pneumonia. They took great care of him. Even my regular vet commented about the great care he was given. Wish I could say the same about my regular vet though. I ended up having to return the next evening. The doctors did everything they could, but werent able to save him. They handled it very professionally and let me spend as much time as I needed with him. I appreciate everything they did. It was expensive, but they have a few financing options available. Im thankful for their help.

I brought my two dogs in recently after they were hurt in a fight with other dogs. They gave me a time estimate and cost estimate and while it took longer than they originally anticipated due to the extent of the injuries, they were true to their word and did not charge anything past the initial estimate. Further, they were extremely courteous to me during the entire ordeal and put up with me badgering them afterwards with some follow up questions (which they had answered before but in my angst I neglected to pay enough attention). Lastly, right now everyone has plenty to stress about in with the pandemic going on but the staff at the clinic follows all of the guidelines I have seen, everyone is waiting in the car and the animals are brought in from out there, the staff is all wearing masks/gloves, etc.North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic definitely came through for me in my time of need.

Sunday, September 8, 2019 - we visited North Texas Emergency for the second time. Our first visit over New Years holiday several years ago. Both my husband and I were not only Impressed with the professionalism of all the staff, but also the compassionate care for our wee Wendy and her mom and dad!4 days ago we rushed through your doors with our precious 16 year old sweet girl who was seizing. Words cannot express the comfort received from each staff member! Our caring vet took the time to talk through all the options and gently suggested that saying goodbye to our little girl was something to consider. Being a nurse, I knew what was right for Wendy, being her mom, it was the heart cry of “NO”.In our quiet room, we held her, stroked her gently and many times told her we loved her and thanked her for 16 amazing years. She peacefully said goodbye in my arms.Thank you, each of you, that were there on 9/8. You helped us as much as you helped our lovely Wendy!

I brought my cat in on a Sunday because it was my only day off and my regular vet was fully booked. After finding out it would be 1k to do all the recomended tests I decided I’d just take him to my regular vet the next day and save a ton. The price was negotiated and we agreed to a test the dr felt was crucial. Nearly 4 hours after giving them my cat they had done NOTHING, and worse off the nurse initially told me to wait in the parking lot. Spent my whole day sweating there. Told them forget everything give me my cat, and they said well take the pills at least it’s 200 dollars I’m pretty sure that’s what he needs. Unbelievable
