Great Internet service from the provider. While home Wi-Fi wasn’t that great but it was easy to return the equipment here and get it taken off the bill when we got a new mesh system to better cover our home. And despite the mediocre mesh equipment provided, they are far superior to other Internet providers around the area.

Speeds are great, but tech support is severely lacking. They dont solve much, and I dont believe they really employ anyone on the backend that can automate much in terms of adding resolving problems, and adding features.Tech support provides solutions that dont solve underlying problems, and are very manual. For an ISP that is an information company you think they would want to try a little harder to fix issues.Actually moving the star down to one based on the response.Sending out customer information without their consent is a breach of their published privacy policy. Publishing details of my support ticket is a breach in the policy. Which is honestly a little worse than just the techs that dont resolve anything.

DONT SWITCH TO THEM!! I would give them 0 stars if I could. The company came to our door and asked us to switch and when we said no they were not okay with that and they kept pestering us and invading our privacy until we gave in. The next day they came and they were fast. They said they would burry the cables within 2 weeks. It passed 2 months and nothing happened. We called them and they said that they would burry them the next day. Nothing happened. Actually, our neighbors got their cables buried even before us even though they got their lines done after us. It passed almost 3 months and finally they came. Hopefully they burry them soon.

The speed was super but there were more daytime internet outages in the approximately 6 months I had metronet than in the 4 years I had my previous provider. With virtual school and working from home people need reliable service. Apparently metronets network in my service area is plagued by careless digging.

My tv cable goes completely out every other month. They spend about an hour having me trouble shoot. Only to say we need to send a tech out. They take days to find a tech to come. Same issue repeatedly occurring. Don’t switch your tv cable but I do like internet. The savings have not been great. You must expect with lower pricing and no contract they are luring you in and then they fail in service and technical support. They did recommend I go to an online streaming tv option. I guess I need to go by new TV’s. Thank you metro next.

My services were cancelled . Reps initially were not able to tell me why. It was determined that someone read the notes wrong from 04/2019 stating I was moving out of the service area!!! I was told it was a terrible mistake and should have never happened. I have not moved since I’ve started service with Metronet, and am still unclear as to how this mistake could have happened. I was promised a credit to my account for my inconvenience, as my husband and I both rely on internet service to work from home. Service were down for 4 days. I have not received the credit to my account. So far I’ve spoken with 8 or 9 agents. It looks like I’ll be calling them to follow up again tomorrow.

Would not recommend! Ordered on 3/15 said they could install 3/16. 3/16 comes and they cannot install, the Flower pot they they show was installed isnt there so they need to install it. 3/19 I ask for an ETA they cant give one. 3/25 ask for an ETA told next 10 days. 4/7 I ask for another ETA told It could be another 14 days 4/30 they install the Flowerpot but hit a powerline and charge the neutral line to the house blowing up some of our appliances and ~ half of out lightbulbs. 5/1 they finally install the fiber to the house. 5/9 ask for an ETA to get the line buried, told I can also escalate the burial of your fiber line 6/4(today) ask for another ETA to get the fiber line buried, told we dont have a specific timeframe until the escalation is processed. I dont expect it would be over a month to get it done from now. -- This wouldnt have been so bad is there was just a little bit of communication from metronet and if they could give expectations on when things could be done.

Switched to MetroNet back in August. My wife and I are both working from home and had at least 3 major outages so far. Sometimes in the middle of important meeting. This morning I realized there is no internet. They cant send a technician until 2 days out. Now I have to find a place where I can work from for two days until technician will come. So inconvenient. Most likely will switch to another provider.

We recently switched over to MetroNet due to their heavy presence in the area and more competitive price. I am not a big TV watcher, so I just signed up for basic TV and - more importantly - internet service. Well, the TV shows freeze up to where it is pointless to watch and, more importantly, my internet connection was lost during an important meeting. Lesson learned. Saving a few bucks isnt worth it.

Edit. (Month 5 of the wrong bill saga) Well, unfortunately this next bill came in. After paying the $25 that I was told was all that would be owed after the corrections, this bill says Im $102 past due, was charged a late fee and it said my account is going to be suspended. I was charged for 2 full months of tv, when I canceled tv and turned the equipment in the 10th of the first month. They said it was a glitch. I see I was credited for the last 10 days of the second month I was charged for, so Im still being charged for a little over a month worth of service, that I didnt have. Its going on month 5 of the bill bill being wrong, and Im sure weve over paid somewhere. I was on the phone for about 1 hr 40min (most of it on hold) trying to get this fixed last time. With that being said, this review is staying at 1 star, untill I have the same amount of months of correct billing as Ive had of incorrect billing.I am officially changing my scathing 1 star to a 5 star. The payment processing rep was so patient and good at resolving a billing problem that no one else we spoke with did. It was an hour worth of being on hold, while she researched and talked to the people she Needed to, But she did get it fixed.I recommend that the young lady that helped us be promoted to Director of Customer Experience and/or Training.

Metronet was soliciting door to door. Claimed there was no tech fee that it was included in the monthly fee and there was no installation cost. Also said the email was just a quote based on info they collected and we would have to log in to confirm installation. The quote was more than they stated cost would be verbally and logging in to cancel I could see the installation was already confirmed. The only way to stop it was to call and cancel as it wont let you cancel on line. They lie to try to get you hooked into something they say isnt confirmed until you log in but is unless you cancel. Not good business ethics. I will not use this service.

I ordered 500Mbps service. Metronet installed a router that was only rated for 350Mbps. I called requesting a router rated for the 500Mbps that I am paying for, and they refused. They are happy to charge for the 500Mbps service but not happy to provide equipment capable of delivering it.Following up on the above- After the above review I spoke with Metronet again. Tech Services did some more testing and agreed I had a router issue and replaced my router. When the Technician looked at my original router he noted it was an older model they were no longer using. Apparently I originally got an older router rather than the high speed router they are now using. Download speeds are now much closer to 500 Mbps but upload speeds still slow.

Im in the Kingswood subdivision in Carmel, Indiana. I wanted to send along a sincere complement to your installation crew who have been working in our neighborhood. They have been very conscientious in respecting our grass and landscaping and have operated (truck parking, orange cones, etc.) in a very professional manner, every day. We are looking forward to joining your new service to our home. The sales people in your call center have been most friendly and I appreciate being able to lock-in what seems to be a very fair offer to begin service. This is in stark contrast to ATT who seem to believe I should be honored to receive their service rather than respecting me as a paying customer. Way to go Metronet! Im impressed already.

Nothing worked right with metronet. Both xboxes had pack speed losses and sometimes I got under 30 mbps. They don’t seem to know what their doing even the tech that installed crested a large 4x4 inch hole through my drywall and outside vinyl siding which now needs repaired. The second tech said all my devices would need to be hardwired not wifi just to get 300mbps. This never came up with salesmen. I spent hours dealing with this for nothing !!

So here is my story of why I left MetroNet. The speeds are great but actually getting that speed is a problem. I have had so many outages that what is the point of having internet. Secondly I had a tech working on a neighbors house disconnect my lines and lie to me about it and even the phone techs were like it was him and so I went the weekend with no internet due to him. Then they didnt put me down for a supervisor call because they know they have done wrong. Then today my account gets double charged and overdrafts my account and the best they got is that they will credit my account......... (im left with the fee). Do yourself a favor and ignore the high speeds and go somewhere reliable so you can actually enjoy the service you pay for.

Like other reviews say, service lately is down quite a bit. No manager to speak to ever. Issues take numerous calls to resolve. You do NOT respond within minutes as Facebook advertises. I asked for a Manager last Sat night. Services went out and my mesh network and smart devices like bulbs and plugs that help a handicapped person such as myself all had to be reinstalled. Your company offered me an appt 4 days out on Sat to today which I never accepted bc I have a Dr this afternoon at the time I was offered or they couldn’t get to me til next week. I hired a company Hello Tech who got to me same day and I incurred a $100 bill which is Metronet’s fault. I am on limited income and this is unacceptable treatment to a long time customer. And it starts from management on down and just now when I called in again to request a Manager for the 3rd time no one was available. That is not good service to your customers! Time I guess to leave some online reviews.

The only reason this company receives any stars is because of the product they offer regarding internet (fiber optic). It is more reliable then any other internet service I have had which at this time of working from home is what I need. I do not need companies like Comcast trying to sell me business internet since they cant provide reliable residential service (up-sell to satisfy a quality issue...thats Comcast!) Please note that Metronet installation was initially done incorrectly and they had to redo it, so I did have unexplained service interruption a year ago. With this said, you MUST be very careful with your Metronet billing. If anything goes wrong, the representatives do not effectively correct the issues. To date, I am owed over 125 dollars and have tried Metronets online chat feature, over the phone, in person (during COVID), over my account portal and with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).Here is the billing story: I recently canceled TV service and they charged me for the TV and all equipment on the next bill which was issued the week after cancellation. The bill was $515.39 which they planned to auto debit from my bank account 15 days after the print date of that invoice. Despite the bill clearly showing they were billing me for a period AFTER my cancellation, I could not receive an accurate amount owed over the phone (would not address existing credit, taxes or prorated amount to effectively give me a total) or a proper address to mail my equipment to (I was actually hung up on by representative).I finally had to physically go in to return my $330 worth of equipment (yes I was required to return my equipment in person during COVID). Upon arrival, the Carmel, Indiana representative told me the math was simple, rolled his eyes at me, and proceeded to patronize me as I sat their in a face mask. All this was unnecessary, I could have mailed the stuff but there is no accurate instructions on who to mail it to and it would have had to be done by certified mail because, trust me, these people would screw up receipt of this expensive equipment. I then overpaid my bill online since the Carmel representatives simple math was VERY wrong and I gave up trying to get him to listen to me as he clearly thought I was a moron (maybe it was my face mask, since he was not wearing one). I knowingly overpaid my bill to avoid interruption of internet service (critical to my job) and then sought reimbursement through the account portal online. Please be aware that while I was doing all this, I had a Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint filed with them after I was hung up on by their representative.Metronet took the longest to reply of any other company I have filed a BBB complaint against. The BBB assured me they would reply, stating they ALWAYS do, which indicates a significant volume of complaints with the BBB. When Metronet finally did reply, they said they had contacted me and resolved all matters. This was not true, I had contacted them (after BBB complaint) both in person and online to avoid service interruption and late fees. At the time of me writing this, their response to BBB says the matter has been resolved, I have yet to receive my $125 plus they owe me (despite a Metronet rep email saying I am owed this) and they have not once reached out to me to correct this matter. All interaction has been driven by me.
