If you have no clue about cars, you will like them. If you know how things works in cars, you will realize that they are lazy and dont do their job the way it should be. I took my Town and Country after replacing my tie rods and front ADJUSTABLE struts to them for alignment. And I asked the service clerk do you do toe and camber alignment or just toe she said they do camber if they could. I informed her that my struts are adjustable and they should do the camber as I had replaced my struts. She said dont worry the technician knows his job. During the alignment I noticed that the technician hadnt touch any struts bolts. One hour later when the car is ready I asked her for the alignment computer copy, she gave it to me, see that camber is out of spec, she said it is in spec but the computer didnt print it well, and the technician wrote In with his pen meaning In spec.Firestone, how stupid you think people are!?Shame on such a big company. Now of course my front tires wear excessively from the outside. The first printout before alignment, the second is after alignment.Even toe alignment is not that perfect, right side 0.06 and left is 0.09, if I am doing the job I would set both sides to 0.05

They ended up overcharging me (for work that I had to get re-done) and the store manager defended it, and challenged me to walk into any shop in the country and theyll quote you the same price for that work. Ten minutes later I had a printed quote from Mears Automotive, around the corner, for the same job at half the price. I guess Firestone did eventually refund the difference, so they had that going for them.

Sorry it took longer for me to reply than allowed on your survey. I think it’s important that you know that the individual who checked me out made a comment that I needed new tires on the rear. I informed him I had just had them rotated and checked 2 days prior to my oil change appointment. His comment was “ hummm they should never put bald tires on the rear”.These are 70K tires and they only have 20K on them. I had them rechecked and they are fine. I’m disappointed that I had this experience at your place of business. From his actions it could be perceived that I would not know anything about tires. It makes a lady wonder if this is the proper place to take my business.

I went to this location to get my vehicle lease plan maintenance completed. I came home and realized that my washer fluid and coolant fluid was completely empty in my reservoir. I came back the next day to speak with the Manager, Josh. I asked him if he could top off my coolant since I had none in my reservoir, and this service should have been completed previously during my first visit. He told me that my lease plan maintenance provider does not top off coolant, and they only top off windshield wiper fluid. Told me that the only way to get coolant topped off is to perform a coolant flush service. (Note: this is a service performed at 105,000 miles when I only have 61,000 miles) Well…this doesn’t add up because why would you leave my vehicle’s coolant reservoir empty for another 44,000 miles? Also, it states clearly on the 5,000 mile maintenance lease plan check sheet to check ALL fluids. I called my lease plan maintenance provider, and they told me that was not true what I was told, and that they should have topped off my coolant. I am writing this review, because I want people to know that this management is very unprofessional, and clearly the previous reviews back the statement. I am not one to write reviews, until I am blatantly lied to and treated unprofessionally by management. I went to Jiffy Lube next door, and without hesitation they topped off my coolant through my vehicle lease plan maintenance provider. I will never go back to another Firestone again, or recommend this location to another friend or family member. Brock the Regional Manager and Owner Steven should be aware of the unprofessional management at this location.

Avoid this place like the plague. I had a 1pm appointment for an alignment. Dropped the car off and told them I’d be waiting across the street. I was told it would only take an hour or two tops. I called about 3:30 and was told it was on the lift and being worked on. I show up at 4:30 to pick it up and was told it hasn’t even been touched because the person who was supposed to work on it was ordered to work on someone else’s car. The lady helping me didn’t seem to care at all. Manager was completely unapologetic and unprofessional. I was prepared to pay for a lifetime alignment and $100 to have two front camber bolts installed but will instead be taking my money to someone else. Thanks for wasting my day!

Two stars because the oil change went smoothly and they were kind. But as soon as there was an issue they didn’t take any responsibility. At the end of the appointment, they handed me my keys, said “we did a free diagnostics check on the battery and it died,” and said I can pay $173 to get a new battery. I find the timing really odd that it died as they were working on it. They refused to extend a discount for a new battery.

HORRIBLE place. I would recommend taking your vehicle to anyone else in the area and being Carmel there are lots of options. I was quoted a price and I even repeated and confirmed the price and then right after I said ok do the work all of a sudden I was told Sorry there was a computer glitch and your real price is $100 more than what was quoted. Then to ad to experience I said to go ahead and put an oil change on and then when my wife goes to pick up the car after getting off work they did not do the oil change. The cherry on top was when I got a call about my awful experience and you can simply tell that the woman that called does not have any care about her customers and their experience. Dont settle with this place when there are plenty of other options out there.

A rogue pothole decimated my front end. I had the car towed to the Carmel location early the next morning. Within an hour I receive a report on damages and an estimate. I then request further evaluation be completed - I figure they might as well fix whatever else they find wrong under there! By early afternoon I receive a call with the full report. My car is old, so there was a lot to find! The lady I spoke with was extremely patient and thorough in explaining what they found, what I should fix, and what could wait. I did not expect such honesty and transparency from an auto shop! On top of this, they had my repairs finished by the end of the day. Overall my experience with the staff and service at the Carmel location far exceeded my expectations. I will gladly be returning here in the future. Thank you!

The staff is nice but this place took literally 7 hours to fix my vehicle. After calling multiple times and trying to add things they “recommend” my total became $400 very quickly. I then picked my car up around 5pm (it was dropped off at 7am) and started driving to hear a foreign sound. I thought I had ran over something and got a flat tire. I get out to see that they didn’t screw on the cover on the bottom front of my car. Assuming this is for the air filter and/or oil change and they forgot to put it back on. So here I am with the piece dragging on the bottom on my vehicle. I called to tell him and figure out a suggestion as they proceed to say “You actually don’t need this part so you can take it to the dealership or just let it hang it will be fine.” WHAT! I needed help in this moment and they were being completely rude and unprofessional. I will never return to this and neither will my fiancé or family. I know these guys might be people and I understand that everyone isn’t perfect but I realize today that this isn’t a place I’d trust with my vehicle and they try so hard to get you to spend money. They need to care more about their customer and building rapport. While sitting in the waiting room I also witnessed false claims about tires and they had no idea what they were talking about.

Firstly, could not be happier with the quality and speed of the work done to my vehicle (needed inner/outer tie rods replaced after an encounter with an icy curb). They had it inspected, diagnosed, and fixed within a matter of hours (no appointment); when I picked it up, the alignment was perfect and the dash messages (TC off, Hill Stop disabled) were gone— perfect!I give 3 stars because this store’s labor charges seem pricier than I’ve encountered elsewhere in the past ($120+/ hour.. to replace the tie rods, $100 to align). I also was billed for their $9.99 inspection/car care service (usually $30, but was on promotion) which is meant to include a tire rotation and washer fluid top off, both of which were not performed on my vehicle.I would also recommend that if you choose this store, you take their service recommendations with caution. I was told that my TC dash light would not be resolved from just repairing the bent tie bolts— they told me they’d have to perform a $100 diagnostic test to find the issue and then repair whatever it was. I was doubtful, just because simply researching online I found that the tie rod damage could cause these lights to come on, and that fixing the rods should resolve the issue. This turned out to be correct, and so I’m glad I didn’t take their $100 recommendation; use discretion with their recommendations, you don’t necessarily need whatever they try to upsell you

I have been a loyal Firestone customer for years (tires, oil changes, maintenance, etc); we never had any issues with the Firestone in Fishers off I-69. I recently took my car in to the Carmel store on Rangeline Road for new tires. I dropped my car off on a Sunday morning and they told me they would not be able to get to it that day. Ok - I will make arrangements to get a ride to work for the following day. Monday afternoon came around and I never received a call to let me know if the tires had been installed or not. So I called this store and they proceeded to tell me that in addition to the new tires, I have a coolant leak and they recommended a pressure test. Since I obviously dont want to risk my engine overheating and I had always had good experiences in the past, I authorized them to complete the pressure test to help diagnose where the leak was coming from. By that evening - still no follow up phone call and I had to call them back only to be told that there are 2 coolant leaks but they cannot tell where the 2nd leak is coming from. However they said it is likely a major leak that could be coming from a bad freeze plug, a blown head gasket or a CRACKED ENGINE BLOCK! They told me that I would need to take my car to a dealer for a complete diagnosis but this will be a very labor intensive and costly repair. Since that was the case, I asked the manager, Josh, to explain why after I paid for a complete vehicle inspection and car care package, they decided to wait and tell me about this engine leak AFTER I PAID $1045 FOR 4 NEW TIRES?! Why would I want to put 4 new tires on a 2008 vehicle with 172k miles on it when my engine block might be cracked? Even a head gasket repair is quite expensive. After going back and forth, I requested they put my original tires back on the car which they initially said they could not do. I reiterated my logic above and advised I hadnt even picked up my car yet and they still had my old tires. Then about an hour later, Josh calls me back and says he will do it, but they will have to charge me labor twice for the new tires and my old tires. And to add insult to injury, I wasnt going to get my car back until Thursday. I dropped my car off on 11/17 and didnt get it back until 11/21! I had to rent a car for 3 days and when I asked them why, they said they just didnt have time to get to it.Now I have an expensive invoice including charges for labor x 2, a broken lug nut/stud (which they broke because it didnt come in that way - they torqued it while working on my car), the pressure test, and 4 TPMS kits - what happened to the old ones?!This is by far the absolute WORST experience Ive ever had with any mechanic or service shop in my life! The customer service was pathetic and now Im supposed to pay for some items that I did not receive or I shouldnt have been responsible for?!I truly wish someone higher up would have called me after I expressed my concerns and frustration to the store manager, Josh. But no one did; perhaps someone will contact me now that Ive had to write a poor review (which does not stand alone) on this Firestone location.

I have gone to Firestone and always been happy with their work and with the people who work there. It has become clear to me that the employees are personable in order to make customers feel comfortable while they scam on them. I took my car in and requested a brake inspection. I was told that my brakes were running metal on metal and that my rotors were warped. Thus, I would need full front brakes and they suggested replacing the rear as well. I thanked them and left with my quote. I have had previous experience with brakes and decided to do it myself. Boy was I surprised. Metal on metal is what happens when brake pads are completely gone and this friction causes bad rotors. When I removed my brake pads I saw that they were not gone. They were low. I was hearing a sound that was a high pitched squealing, but not a metal grinding sound. Brake pads have a metal sensor warning that alerts drivers that the pads need replacing. The sound I was hearing was the metal warning sensor on my brake pads. I was told I needed new rotors, as mine were warped and way too thin. Rotor thickness is measured in micrometers. I was told that the rotors on my car measured at 1. Brand new they measure at 9. When I took my brakes apart it was clear that the rotors were not warped in any way. I took my rotors to ORiley and had them measure the micrometers. They gave me a measurement of just over 8. I had them turned only because my new pads were wider than my old ones. My old pads did not go all the way out to the edge of my rotors and my new ones did. Additionally, I was told my rear drums measured at 3/2 and there was no measurement provided for the rear shoes. Upon inspection, Firestone had not even removed my rear drums. Measurements are unable to be taken without first removing the drums. The number they gave me was made up and totally arbitrary. Finally, Firestone quoted me $65 for new rear brake pads. MY CAR DOESNT EVEN HAVE REAR BRAKE PADS (because it has shoes). When I called to ask several of these questions I was told I would receive a call back; no one called. This was on a Friday. I followed up with another phone call on Monday and was treated awfully as soon as I started to ask questions. They had no answers. I was told that the brake pads were written up in the quote before the inspection report had been received from the technician working on my car and that they had not been removed once shoes and drums were added. I am not sure how you could miss something that is blatantly listed in a line of no more than 5 things. Furthermore, this means that even before they had any information about my vehicle they were already pricing the most that they could. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. There is no honesty and absolutely no accountability. They do seem like nice and genuine people, but it is only a means to an end. It is not letting me upload pictures at this time, I will follow up with a picture of the quote and of the inspection report. Also, when doing my brakes I found a wrench under my hood that had been left there by Firestone.

Complaint for Friday June 20, 2014:When a person takes there vehicle to a service or repair shop, they are taking it there because they need help taking care of it or repairing it. My mother took her car to the Carmel Firestone for a regular oil change, something that should have been easy and a stress free trip for her to make.I have never posted a complaint or bad review on a company before but what happened to my mother and I, is absolutely inexcusable.Carmel Firestone location, worst customer service I have ever experienced at an automobile service center. I am going to start off with stating that my family will NEVER go back to the Carmel location again. There is absolutely no reason we should have been treated the way that we were. My mother is foreign and sometimes there can be a communication barrier, which is why I wanted to speak to someone over the phone when she took her car in. (as I always do when she goes somewhere and needs help, she has the employee call me) I told her to have someone call me when she got there. She told me, that they told her, no one was going to call me. I tried calling 3 times to speak to someone I asked for the manager and I had to call back 2 other times, He hung up the phone on me all 3 times.Firestone; you might want to get an adult to run your store not a kid. Someone that is mature enough to handle issues when they arrive. The store manager hung up the phone on me 3 times. I was so upset, I ended up having to leave work and drive to Carmel to make sure my mom was given her car back.Firestone; I suggest you don’t train your employees to threaten your customers. It’s a bad business practice. I feel very strongly about the horrible way we were treated by the store manager David Louderback. Everyone in Carmel should know what happened and how my mother and I were treated. I certainly wouldn’t want anyone else to be treated like this. I don’t need anyone to respond back to this email and I certainly don’t want any phone calls to be made to myself or to my mother.

Interesting staff....by that I mean, they think they know what correct protocol is. Just letting them know that my entire company (couple thousand ppl) will not be working with this Firestone location ever...thanks for the help Tid...I think that was her name.

By nature, Im skeptical of chain auto service shops. My experience hasnt been great, and I often feel pressured to purchase something I dont really need.Im glad to report that wasnt the case here. We had a coupon for an oil chance, so I decided to give it a try.We were taken in within 5 minutes of our scheduled time, and the change too less than 1/2 hour. The mechanic pointed out a couple of things on the car we might want to replace in the not too distant future (Tires, wiper blades) but didnt try to sell me on the spot...I appreciated the fact that they allowed me to make my own decision.Well done. Well certainly be back.

This place is a clip joint. Had my car towed there with a ruined battery. Battery replacement $125. OK, spendy but OK, I expected that. Then they charged me a $90 diagnostic fee because they said the engine was flooded. Oh. Really, $90 for a flooded engine? Ill give them five stars for chutzpah--they said it with a straight face and wouldnt back off the fee. And Ill give them one star overall because they are dishonest chiselers.

Wanted to charge me over $2000 when my car overheated. Knew that was way too much after doing research online. Had it towed somewhere else and it was only $400.

Broke a part on our car and then they tryr to cover it up, by saying that they found it like that. Then wouldnt fix it. We ended up going to Goodyear on 106th and actually pay over $100 less then what Firestone was going to charge.

Over the years, Ive been to Firestone in Castleton, Carmel, and Noblesville. My best experience was definitely today at the Noblesville Indiana location. And my worst two experiences have absolutely been at the Carmel location. They were very dishonest with me once last year and then again last week.On both of these occasions, the same tech (named Tyler) worked on my car. The details of his dishonesty last year are described in the paragraph below. Noblesville fixed the problem today that he was dishonest about last week.04/22/2016 Surprised me by saying my tires have Edgewear, Cracking, & Cupping. Said the tires were “Low on Tread” and Rated them 6 on a Scale of 10. Recommended replacement and gave me an estimate of around $415. Problem is my tires only have about 14,200 miles on them. They are high-quality Michelin and in Very Good condition. Shame on You Firestone!! You are Extremely Dishonest!!

Read the other poor reviews before bringing your vehicle here. They do not patch a tire that has had Fix-A-Flat. No biggie. But then they charged me for the patch AND the new tire. They corrected it but only after I called them out on it. They’ve lost my trust.
