Josh Lim was amazing to work with in buying our Kia Carnival. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and there was absolutely no pressure at any point. It was clear from the start that he just wanted to help us. We had lots of questions and he was super patient throughout the entire process.The manager and finance department were also very friendly and easy to work with.Car buying is very stressful by nature, but Josh and Premier Kia made the whole process as straightforward and relaxed as possible.

It really simplifies the process for my new lease, and there wasnt much need to negotiate, as I knew what other dealers were charging for the same lease/vehicle. I would give negative stars if I could. We have taken our 2014 Soul to their service department 3 times now for the same issue (knocking, shaking at startup, CEL, heavy smell of gas and unusual oil consumption). Every time they claim to have found the problem and fixed it. The First trip they claimed it was a bad coil on one of the cylinders. They repaired it and charged us for it. After about 4-6 weeks the issue arose again. Took it back and they claimed that it was a different coil, on a different cylinder, this time... They also told us that they had opened a Techline ticket with Kia corporate to check if there was a recall for the issue. A simple google search showed that there actually was an active recall for a very similar issue (Recall #20V750000). However, they claimed that the recall did not include our VIN. I questioned how likely it is that a 2nd coil would fail in such a short period of time on a car with less than 80k miles, when they typically have a lifespan of about 125k miles. They could not answer and magically the 2nd coil was now under warranty and would be no charge for the repair.... No mention of the fact that we were charged for the same repair on our previous visit. I spoke to the Service Manager and expressed that I had ZERO confidence that they fixed the issue. He assured us that the problem was resolved, but said that if we received a recall notification, to bring the car back. A couple days ago, we took it back AGAIN. Same issue (CEL, shaking, gas smell). This time though, we had the recall notice in hand, with our VIN # on it. They had the car a full day before anyone called to let us know what was going on. We only received a call AFTER leaving a message for a status update, the next day. This time they told us that the CEL was for a bad Inhibitor switch. We have never experienced any issue shifting in or out of Park or starting the car. Which would be evidence of a bad inhibitor switch. Again they assured us that the car checked out fine after their inspection and the repair would be covered under warranty and no charge. Their suggestion for the fuel smell was to change the cabin air filter, apparently not covered under warranty??When we picked up the vehicle, it was immediately apparent that the issue was not resolved and may actually be worse now. The shaking at startup was still present, along with the fuel smell. In addition, the car just felt sluggish overall and the knocking was getting louder. We also started getting notifications that the system is not charging the battery, even when the engine is running. The car was driven about 30 miles total the day it was picked up. When we stopped, we noticed the fan was running pretty hard. I investigated and found that it is now overheating, which it never had before. Woke up the next morning to a puddle of oil under it, on a previously clean driveway. Pulled the car back a few feet to take a look and in less than 5 minutes had a even bigger puddle.I called the dealer to speak with someone in Management. I was cutoff while trying to explain my issue and dumped into a voicemail. I left a message and am still waiting for a call back....At no time did we feel that they were addressing our concerns. It seems like they would just find a random issue to fix and send us on our way. As it stands today, our fixed car is sitting in our driveway, undrivable.COMPLETE GARBAGE!

Its a shame that I am only giving one star just because of the poor customer service in the finance department. My sales experience with Miguel was amazing and I highly recommend working with him. However my experiences with the financial side were so bad that it put a poor taste in my mouth about my entire experience with this company and location.Whatever you do, DONT GET KIA CARE. Its a total rip off but I opted to get it since I was assured upon purchase that I could cancel this option at any time, which I decided to do after confirming it was a bad deal with my mechanic. I began calling the financial advisor I worked with about 2 weeks after my purchase and she never returned the messages I left on her voicemail or the ones I left with the secretary. I even called and left a voicemail for someone else in finance who also didnt return my call. I felt totally stuck being forced to pay for it monthly since no one was helping me. I called Kia corporate and they said the dealership needed to remove it from my account. They did, however, *miraculously* get Celene on the phone (the same person that doesnt return any calls and is never available) who told me she had no idea I had called and that shed take care of it and send me a confirmation email. Unsurprisingly 3 weeks later I still havent received an email or any calls or updates about this issue. I called and left a voicemail for the director of finance. Days later with still no response or resolve of my issue. Ive had to pay for Kia Care for 3 months now because of their complete negligence.The car is great but this place really doesnt care enough to help or communicate with their customers.

Poor customer service from the finance center. I have been trying to cancel a warranty for over 3months with no callbacks or email reply. I had to resort to going direct with Warranty Company (Still working). I would avoid getting any type of warranties from this dealership.

It was amazing. I checked cars online Premier Kia has the one we like I went and met the agent that helped me finished the transaction. The best thing is I was treated like a family. I appreciated that especially I was not feeling good but wanted to secure the car my husband really wanted. Thank you Premier Kia of Carlsbad especially to Alan Dowdy and the financial officer whom I am sorry I forgot his name but he is also very nice. You guys made the process bearable which we all know most of the time it could take lots of sitting & boring hours at the dealership when you are buying and trading in a car. Thank you again. You guys are A+++ including the guys that got the car ready for me so I didn’t have to come back for it the next day.

I was not expecting to buy a Kia. We had been looking all day at Hyundai’s and Subaru’s and others. We had stopped into Kia of Carlsbad and Josh greeted us. He was so warm and welcoming! Just bought my 3rd car from Miles at Premier Kia. Always a great experience with these guys. Very professional and always on point. I had actually started with a used car from them but was so impressed with their service and attitude that I decided to give them and the Kia brand a shot. I had never considered Kia before and had previously bought 3 BMWs in a row. So, going from BMW to Kia was a pretty big move as far as brand prestige went but I actually fell in love with my Kia and did not miss my BMW. I have never had even one problem with either Kia I have bought from them and I sure cant say that about BMW.

Shopping for a new car is usually not something to look forward to, but the customer service to the final contract signing from Cherry Ramirez and the staff at Premier Kia in Carlsbad, CA, made it a pleasurable experience. From or phone call to her regarding a specific Telluride we saw advertised, to her holding the car for us to see and walking us through the qualifying and the purchase agreement signing was relatively short and a good experience. Cherry made sure we were informed and understood all aspects of the car, warranty, loan details and was very patient considering it was late in the evening. A great experience and we would recommend anyone to shop there. I would say the best car buying experience I have had. And love the car.

Tyler and Sina are honest and very efficient and don’t try to drag things or push for selling stuff that I was not interested in. I was dreading going into any car dealership to be honest due to my past experiences.I’m so glad I came to this Kia dealer. My sales reps Tyler and Miles were great from the start. Very transparent and honest about what they could and could not do.The most painless experience of buying a car that I can remember in the past 10 years and I change my vehicles often due to boredom.I highly highly recommend this place for your next Kia or used car! Excellent experience leasing my new Kia Niro EV EX Premium! Cherry Ramirez was my sales contact, we negotiated the deal and did the credit app completely via email. I went into this knowing exactly what I wanted, so really made it a lot easier to handle by email. I came by the dealership the next day to sign the papers and drive off in this fantastic new car. I recently took my car in for some repairs that needed to be done in my wheel well. After picking my car up I noticed some strange noises coming from under my car, and around the wheel well where the work was performed. I pulled off of the freeway to see where the noise was coming from and immediately noticed that my wheel well cover was shredded, and screws that are supposed to hold the cover in were missing. Note, that I never had any issues with my wheel well cover nor did I ever hear any noises like I did PRIOR to bringing my car in. I immediately called them after I discovered what happened, but their Service Department was already closed. I took pictures of the damage and decided I would take it back first thing in the morning. I took my car in the next day at 8am, to show them the damage and they immediately jumped to the conclusion that it couldve been something that I did, because the under carriage cover had previous damages. My car had been in Kia’s possession from 8am-5pm the day before, my receipt from when I paid for my initial repairs is time stamped for 5:08pm and I called them at 5:16pm to report what I discovered after leaving the dealership, but SOMEHOW the damage to the wheel well was my fault. They pretty much implied that I managed to lose the screws and completely tear apart my wheel well in an 8 minute span of time?? Might I add that when I originally dropped my car off for the original repairs, I was very adamant that they conduct a full inspection of my vehicle so that I can plan for any future repairs that will be needed. The friendly Service Representative, Elizabeth, called me to let me know of all of the repairs that I will need to schedule for my car, but did not make any mention of the under carriage cover damage?? Also, if the missing screws were from something that I did, why wasn’t I informed about this issue prior to picking up my car?? I asked for a full inspection of my car so that I could make sure issues like missing screws were addressed, so that I was not dealing with an even bigger repair bill. I’m sure anyone would agree with me that the cost of screws is nowhere near the cost of a completely new wheel well, which MAGICALLY had to be repaired on BOTH sides after bringing it back in. The only wheel well that was damaged was the front passenger side. Which brings me to today. I scheduled an appointment today to have everything installed only to be told when I got there that everything had not come in. I dont understand why wasnt there a phone call? Why was it just standard shipping? I dont understand why am I having to wait or come out of pocket for any of this, when in my opinion this should be the dealership’s responsibility? They said because they didnt work on both sides, they would cover the cost for the side they did work on (which had NOTHING wrong with it) but I would have to pay for the side which conveniently had the damage and missing screws. Whos to say that they didnt take that side apart to look at it if I brought the car in for noises coming from my wheel well and the car to be inspected for future repairs. I understand not wanting to do something for free, but blaming a faithful customer is not the way to go about it or any customer at all. I have now found that dealing with Kia of Carlsbad to be one of the worst customer service experiences that I have ever had. I am extremely disappointed with the service repairs and the customer service. I didnt want to give this a one star.

Instead of sitting in dealership for hours doing paperwork I was able to do everything online at home. They delivered the car and picked up old car. The worst experience of my life buying a car. To start out when I went to buy the car I was there for 8 hours barely being helped or even spoke to. I didn’t plan on buying a car that day so I didn’t take any of my paystubs and anything to verify my address and I let the sales person know this and he kept saying it’ll be fine all day.. coming to the end of the night they say I can’t take the car I just bought home and instead say a man can follow me to my house to get the rest of my paperwork or I can pick it up the next day. As I did not feel safe with a man following me home to my house at night I declined and had to come back the next day even though I could have run home that day with all the waiting around I had done. Not only all that but I had my 3 year old with me the whole day. So then we come back the next day and are sent to the waiting area for an hour until we decided to ask someone if we could be helped by anyone else as it seemed like the guy we were going to was busy then immediately after we ask his coworker leaves his office and let’s us go in.. so they were just in there hanging out while we waited with my 3 year old again. I finally get to then take the car home and every week after I am harassed about paystubs and bank statements so I send them and then a 3rd week comes and asked again but at this time I got laid off of work for a couple weeks (mind you I’m now going back to work a week later) so they tell me I have to bring the car back and I say it’s been a 10 days already I don’t have to so the finance guy says we’ll see about that and hangs up on me. So I end up taking the car back because I didn’t want any problems, now I’m left without a car till I find a new one with a 3 year old and a single mother. I do not recommend this place at all! On top of that a week before I went there I was trying to schedule to see a car and they upped the price on that car by $1000 before I went to go see it. They are super shady at this dealership and I hope I can save people their time and money with this review. Please go else where. Also it took them 4 days to repay me my large down payment, which they did not contact me but I had to contact them to see if it was available yet.

We were really impressed with the quality of customer service at premier Carlsbad Kia. We worked with Tyler (manager) and Arash. Both are absolutely exceptional and make the car buying/leasing experience absolutely painless. They gave us the best price up front and we drove 60 miles to get our car from them versus a dealership close to our home which we were not impressed with. By far worth the drive. We were so happy that my wife leased a second car from them a week later—-and they delivered it to our home! I have never had such a seamless experience leasing a car and got a two get deals. Easy least. I was eyeing those Stingers and K5s,weeeeee. I brought home a Soul,so we are now a 2 Soul family. My salesman determined my driving needs by listening to me. Excellent technique! My finance officer was friendly and knowledgeable. He was the last deal-maker,offering a great price on an extended warranty. Will be having coffee and doughnuts there every weekend (not really,but I dont think theyd mind). Big,big THANKS KIA!!

Okay let me start by saying I have diabetes. Now I went to north county kia first and was offered an okay deal on the car I wanted, but wanting to see if I could do better I went to premier kia of carlsbad. I took the sticker with all upgraded options of the previous car looked at. Well premier kia said they could match the upgrades and get me a better deal , so I was in. Well I sat for some time waiting for them to get the paperwork ready. Between the car shopping and haggling and waiting I had forgotten to eat and my blood sugar dropped a little too low. So in my diabetic episode (could be mistaken as drunk, like really drunk) I signed the paperwork not realizing the car Im buying is missing quite a few of the options that were discussed. I believe they saw an opportunity and jumped on it. My wife couldnt believe I had driven home in the state I was in. Now I do love my car but cant help but be upset at myself and the dealer anytime I get in and am missing those upgrades. So if youre looking for a dealer with some integrity I suggest you look elsewhere. Edit: to top it all off I told them I had gotten financed through my bank and was paying cash so I wasnt going to finance through them and they said we still have to run your credit which I thought was weird but reluctantly did, well I just viewed my credit report and not only did they do a hard inquiry they had capitol one auto finance do one. So now I have three hard inquires for the same car and 2 of them were pointless. Priemier kia of carlsbad are exactly the reason car salesman get a bad reputation.

I brought my Mother-in-laws car to replace a shredded tire. They replaced the front two tires and did an alignment. The next day I came to pick it up and after a mile driving off the lot the tire went flat. I called the dealer immediately. They put me on hold until they clocked out and went home for the day while I was stuck on the freeway in the rain .I towed the car into the dealer that night and left my keys and complaint in the drop box. The next day I came to pick up the car and I didnt get an apology at first until I spoke to the manager and told him how disrespectful their service has been so far.There are a few points I need to make hereThey didnt replace the Valve stem on a shredded tire after supposedly inspecting it . ( probably a visual inspection) turns out it was the issue.The outgoing inspection form is deliberately confusing .After talking to the Service Advisor and Manager , neither of them really knew if my inspection form was pre or post service. It took a while for them to answer after talking in circles and blatantly lying about how the inspection was conducted . They claimed that a shredded tire was put on the rear for an alignment inspection .Unfortunately you cant trust the service department. If I just got a sincere apology and a logical explanation I wouldnt write this review but I think they have some quality control issues . If they can be so cavalier with a tire then Im sure they have more issues.Do not take your car here. They do not care about the people they service!

I have never been talked down to or be attempted to be dissuaded from a course of action I wanted to pursue with my car because they had a “better idea” (ie more expensive). Time and time they have provided quality and reasonably priced service. Look for their coupons too. They are worth the drive - I come inland North County.

After visiting all the other dealers that day I saved the Kia for last because I knew I really wanted a Kia Soul. Plus it was time to turn in my Kia Forte because my lease was ending. The salesman SINA SALEMIAN was not very engaging with us. He lacked everything all the other salesmen had at all the other dealerships. He didnt introduce himself, he didnt ask our names, he didnt try to connect with us. He showed no enthusiasm, dull personality. I was so tempted to go back to Hyundai dealer only because of the excellent salesman there, Scott Hanna. He finally came up with a good deal for us and I leased a Soul S. While waiting for paperwork the receptionist was very friendly with us and made us feel welcomed and Selena Hernandez who did all the paperwork was very engaging and told us that Sian had overcharged us on an item. She corrected this and gave us an extra discount. When we were ready to leave Sian went over everything on his checklist. I noticed that there was not a full tank of gas. He said ok Ill give it to you next time. ??So far I am very happy with my Soul. I would have liked Scott at Hyundai to have made the deal instead.

When I decided to lease a Kia Niro EV, I called the Premier Kia of Carlsbad. I found this dealership based on the superb reviews that they have. I started with a sales representative, Mr. Josh Lim. He talked to me on the phone and gave me the proper quotes. We did primary negotiations on the phone. Then I went to the dealership. I was encountered with courtesy. For more detailed negotiations, Josh involved the sales manager, Mr. Tyler Gohring. This gentleman is a very technical and positive negotiator. He has a vast knowledge about the incentives and rebates. He is a very just to the point person and does not waste your time. He helped me a lot in adjusting the price and getting a good deal. Finally I got my desired car and came out of the dealership. The whole process, from test driving to leaving the dealership with the new car, took me 2 hours which was awesome.This dealership is highly recommend by me for its fast service, polite employees and their excellent sales manager.

I would just like to say very excellent, professional customer service from Violeta from services went to take my car for oil change and brake change, unfortunately they didnt have my brakes in stock she did inform me ahead of time, I was a little worried because I reside in oceanside but drive all the way in riverside for work she ordered my brakes immediately and requested overnight shipping, I was willing to wait regardless me being the patient person that I am she even applied a millitary discount, my husband serves so as a spouse I dont expect it ,But for violeta to go above and beyond to take care of myself and my vehicles needs as a customer I am very pleased good job Premier Kia Of Carlsbad for having such an excellent employee on your team ,as a medical professional I highly recommend this place thank you.

He was great over email prior to coming in (responsive and very clear) and then followed up a couple days after getting our car in case we had any questions or issues. Total professional, I would highly recommend working with Miles to lease or buy your vehicle. By the way I knew basically nothing about Kias until a couple weeks ago and they have some great cars for sure, high marks for reliability and value for your dollar.

They are very helpful and accommodating when you are handing over a check - otherwise, dont expect much. I bought a new Kia Stinger two years go. Ive had to bring it in for service 2 times. Both times I made an appointment and was then sent away by there staff without ANY service being performed. One time they didnt have the parts for a recall, one time they refused to do the service because they said it wasnt time for the oil change. Never an apology or attempt to fix the problem. They even scheduled a separate appointment for me without my knowledge and then called to harass me about it at work when I wasnt there. I reached out to the service manager about my concerns and he never even responded to me. The car is great, but the dealership cant be trusted or relied upon. Im ready to buy another car, but it wont be from Premier Kia.

We had a great experience at Kia of Carlsbad. Sina, our salesman, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. He made it clear that he was going to make our budget work and go above and beyond to get our business. We went in with clear parameters about where the cost needed to be and Sina was able to get us a better car than we originally wanted within our budget. He listened and made sure our daughters car had all of the safety features we requested. We ended up buying TWO Niros - one full electric and one plug in hybrid within budget. Were loving our cars and Sina has been available for follow up questions. Other than the long wait time to get paperwork done, the experience was fairly painless. No high pressure sales, and not a lot of back and forth haggling. I would definitely recommend this dealership and especially Sina!

Service advisor, Elizabeth Casey, was friendly and knowledgeable. Customer lounge was adequate, but missing donuts like my old Hyundai Dealer used to supply.The technician wrote that he set the air in my tires to factory specification of 35psi in all four tires. The Stinger spec in the manual and on the drivers door plate specifically calls for 33 psi in the front and 39 psi in the rear, since the wheels are offset. I would expect the Kia technician to be aware of this fact.A question I still have is, based on the price per quart charged for the engine oil, Im not quite certain if Dexos 5W30 is a Full synthetic oil or a synthetic Blend. The full synthetics at OReilly and Auto Zone are usually designated with a hyphen (ex. 5W-30).Other than that, I am very satisfied with my first service experience at Premier Kia of Carlsbad and am thoroughly enjoying the total experience of Owning and Driving my 2020 Kia Stinger GT-L.

Great service and truly caring service writer, Violet! How refreshing!I was disappointed to say the least when my ECS light came on with a 2019 vehicle with ~6,000 miles. I called and got a very quick appointment. Violet greeted me when I arrived. She listened to me and assured me that they would quickly determine and resolve the problem.Since I live within 10 miles, they lyftd me home and scheduled lyft for my return. While she was making out the ticket I asked if I could get an oil change as well; that was no problem and she quickly added a very economical oil change to my bill. 4 cyl synthetic oil change for less than $70 - very nice indeed! It turns out it was a missfire; they did what was necessary to prevent a re-occurence at no charge. When I returned my car was washed and running great! I highly recommend this dealer for your service needs!

It been 3 months since we leased a 2020 Forte from Premier Kia of Carlsbad and were STILL working with Kia Financial to fix the mistakes Premier made on the paperwork. Not only did they give us the wrong car to test drive, Premier Kia submitted the lease under my husbands name using my social and DOB, effectively locking us out of our Kia accout until we can FAX proof of who we are. Its not bad enough that Premier Kia of Carlsbad made this error, they also dont fix it! Its up to the customer to fix and the only option Kia provides is fax. Unbelievable. This is our first Kia and it will be our last - good luck.
