They diagnosed and fixed my stability and traction control for only 60$. It was only a lose rack and pinion but they were very honest and didn’t charge extra to tighten it. Owners and workers are good people. Locally owned. Best value in cape.

They are liars and con artist. I tried to get my car fixed,and they told me they fixed it the next day my check engine light was right back on. Two days later my car start cutting off again. If its not about tires I will never let them work on my car. When I called Eric told me to bring it back in for another diagnosis 🙄🙄. Wont get nomore of my money.

I have been doing business with Campus Auto for 6 years, and unfortunately have to cut the relationship off.I initially went in for a wheel alignment, hoping to correct some problems in my steering. Unfortunately, tie rod ends were frozen, and I had a bent control arm. The owner explained to me that I would be spending over $500, with the chances of my car still veering to right. I had to decline, as I could only afford an alignment at the time.Days went by, and I was fortunate enough to afford new tie rods and an alignment. I got it fixed, but my car still pulled to the right. Admittedly, I knew that the bent control arm had to be the problem (like he mentioned), but I returned to the shop and approached the owner in a soft rage, telling him the problem wasn’t fixed. He was very patient with me and reminded me of the conversation we had earlier. Embarrassed, I soon apologized.I gave him the okay to order a new control arm, since now I could afford it. He gave me a rate of over $340 with labor, parts, and alignment. I said okay. He told me the part will take 2-3 days to arrive.Time went on. I had thought about canceling the order and just providing my own part, but I had already given them a hard time so I kept quiet. But, days turned into weeks and I never received a call. I finally gave them a call. The owner picked up. I told him who I was, my vehicle, and what I was waiting on. His response: “and who did you talk to about this?” I gave the name (his) and reminded him of the conversation we had earlier. His exact response: “okay, well, I didn’t order the part.” He didn’t deny my approval, he didn’t even say he forgot to order it.I told him not to worry about the part. He gave me my rate for just labor and alignment. A couple hours after that conversation, I visited the store to ask to have the price of the alignment be waived from my bill since I had just had an alignment done. That was turned down, understandably. I went in today to get the control arm fixed.Although patient, and as kind as he could be, the owner was overall very inconsiderate of my situation. It seemed like he chose not to order the part after I told him to. It’s clear to me now that he didn’t want to do business with me after the wheel alignment, but their price to fix the control arm couldn’t be beat. The three stars are for the price, my car being somewhat fixed, and for the owner’s patience. I understand this particular time we’re living in is stressful.

This place is awesome! Their prices are very competitive, but theres one catch: Good luck getting tires put on! If you are employed full-time, Monday-Friday at an 8-5 type job, and youre not allowed the luxury to leave work any time you want, youre not going to have any luck here! THEY ARENT OPEN ON SATURDAYS!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

Super great and affordable service! Im not from the area so I wasnt sure where to take my car to get some work done on it, but I pass this place a lot so I figured I would check it out. They were able to get me in right away, took care of the issue within a couple of hours, and it cost less than I was anticipating. The staff is also very friendly and helpful which was a definite plus.

Campus Auto and Tire is the only mechanic in Cape Girardeau that I go to. They have quick service and incredibly fair prices, and generally will get you in and out on the same day. One thing to note though, is that they dont take appointments. Its a first come first serve basis, so you typically need to be there pretty early in the morning. I would wholeheartedly recommend Campus Auto and Tire.

Fantastic customer service at front desk. The guys were genuinely kind and professional to everyone they worked with while I was there.

Ive been here once or twice and they seem wishy-washy. Ive gotten brakes replaced here where I brought the necessary parts to them. All was good. Another time, I brought a simple thermostat to be replaced in my 2011 jeep gc and they basically said, We dont have the time and we dont put on parts youve bought. They also get really backed up and can have waiting times of days for simple car procedures. Hourly labor rate is mediocre at best.

Everyone is real nice and took care of my needs without trying to tack on additional work.

I would like to share my first experience with the people at Campus Auto & Tire. I was experiencing some displeasure with a set of tires I had previously purchased a year ago. I had approached another local tire business to see if I could get an adjustment toward the purchase a new set of tires and was told they wouldnt. I had driven by the Campus Auto & Tire business several times in the past and decided to approach them with my concerns. Surprisingly the manager there responded quickly and favorably and we had come to an agreement on the installation of a new set of tires with a price allowance for my old tires. They had the replacement tires in stock and could install them right away.As I was waiting in the customer service area I was privy to a conversation with another customer who had brought her car in with a overheating problem. The mechanics there had driven the car and idled it with the air conditioning running for a long period of time trying to duplicate the problem and could not get it to overheat. Even after having spent considerable time trying to address the problem, when the lady asked what she owed them, the manager told her there was no charge since they didnt find anything. Now when was the last time you have ever seen a garage/mechanic/business do that? With that said why wouldnt you want to give Campus Auto & Tire your business.Did I mention that I am totally pleased with my replacement tires and my overall experience with the Campus Auto & Tire personnel. Bought my tires less than 2 months ago had an alignment and everything, front tires already bald and they said they cant warranty them, there is an alignment issue.... Ive sat here for 2 hours for an oil change and Jeremy to tell me he cant warranty 2month old tires... never will I ever come back or send anybody here

I went in for brake pads and rotors. I had called the day before to get an idea on how long the process would take and I was told an hour. They dont offer appointments so I figured I would get there right when they opened @7:30am. Upon arriving I was told that they were already working on something so it would be a minute (which was fine). My car finally got pulled in around 8am however I didnt leave until well over 2hrs later. However before they actually started fixing what I had already discussed upon arriving, they came over to me while I was in the waiting area with two other ladies and read aloud everything that needed to be done and my pricing which I thought slightly rude since they addressed every other customer by their name and personally called them over to the desk to discuss the details of their vehicle.Nonetheless, I approved of the work and waited for another hour to get my car back. Immediately when I begin driving, I heard a loud siren like noise and brought my car back to figure out why it was making that noise since it wasnt doing that prior to my visit. In which case, they proceeded to tell me my rear brake Barrons/drums froze and they couldnt get it off.Well why wouldnt you tell me that since it was obvious that it was problem before I left? Thats what I would have done. They proceed to give me pricing on how much it would cost to be fixe but when I inquired why I had to pay for a problem that they caused, he responded with well thats what happens because its an old car. . .Long story short, this was a complete rip off and I was more disappointed with the lack of honesty and integrity these mechanics lack. Just another example of how mechanics give women the run around and try to rip them off at any chance. I will not be going back

Ive been taking my vehicles here for years. Ive never had a problem. They have competitive prices. They can do small, odd jobs too, like compressing springs onto struts, for the home mechanic that doesnt have the specialized tools. This is my #1 reccomended mechanic shop in Cape Girardeau.

I hope the repair man should know the percise torque on the oil drain plug！you over tight my oil drain plug. That cause me use a lot of time to take off it. Pls do some research! The torque should be 40foot pound. Dont over tight it anymore！very uncomfortable！
