Had 2 new a/c units installed in last 2 years. ($11,000) The company came out for a maintenance service and the fan motor went out that night. This unit is just shy of 2 years old. Seems suspicious right? When we called to inform them, we were told it would be $680 to install the new motor and that Air conditioners just aren’t built like they used to be. I had another company install the motor at a cheaper price. I asked GP for a refund for the unused portion of the maintenance and was told that there probably would be none left over and that they would not honor it once another company put their hands on the unit. We have had drainage issues with the other unit since installation. This unit is just 1 1/2 years old. Even under the warranty period they wanted high service fees to come and service the unit. It initially took4 or 5 inspections from the city to approve the permits. I just had a unit installed at our home from GP last week ($7000) and it appears to be the same model as the first unit with the bad fan motor. I wish I would have never let them install any units. There are companies out there that will stand behind their products and work and this is not one of them.

Have used the services of this Co. the entire 8 years I’ve been in Florida, Never disappointed. Just weeks ago Guy and Mile installed a full home water filtration system in my condo and water detectors with shut off ability. After shopping prices, as usual I found this Company to be fair and reasonable.The work was done timely and efficiently. When completed any questions I had were answered. What I like most is the ability to get straight answers from Guy, and he’s also a really nice guy,,,, I mean fellow.Good communication and customer service as well.

We fired them today after a number of years of A/C maintenance and installations for my 93 year old mother in-law. I normally deal with the tech as she is nearly blind and very deaf and her husband passed last year. We have had them out several times this year and even with a contract they require a deposit prior to coming out. Three weeks ago they came out to determine why the A/C was slow to cool. The tech readjusted the thermostat and said he cleared the drain lines. While he was here I asked him if he could also take a look at the pool heater as the compressor fan was not coming on. After calling his office he informed me they would charge an additional $95 flat service call fee just to take a look. I thought that was outrageous and told him so and that I would just deal with the manufacturer and then later finding out GP could not do the warranty work anyway. I told him to just collect his A/C bill.Then I find out one of two things happened...1. He mentioned the pool heater still needing repair to my mother in-law or2. She asked him about it and he failed/refused to mention that the matter had been just been discussed with me moments ago and I was handling it.Anyway about it, he proceeded with the diagnosis and charged her the additional $95.After contacting GP numerous times I finally got the owner of GP who refused to even allow me to tell my story of how this all transpired and how my 93 year old mother in-law was taken advantage of and inappropriately charged. He was right and refused to even listen, cutting me off mid sentence.I had a different A/C company out as it was not cooling well again today (three weeks later) only to find out the reason it was short cycling was because both drain lines were full of goop. I was told there is no way that much snot could accumulate in that short of time period.So my wife who has power of attorney due to her moms condition dumped GP Plumbing today. We refuse to deal with a company who takes advantage of seniors, has techs who do shoddy work and an owner with such poor customer service rapport which would allow this to continue.

Stopped by there office on a Thursday around 1:30 asked for an Estimate on a new A/C & Heating unit and they said someone would be there between 4 & 5 O’clock he showed up a few minutes after 5 which was No big deal and Charlie looked it over and said he would email me a price. So next day I never received one and I called into the office Friday afternoon and talked to the receptionist for the heating and air division and she told me that another girl would send me the estimate by the end of the day....now it’s Saturday afternoon and still have not heard anything??? So if there estimaters can’t do there job in a timely fashion I could only imagine how there installers would be?! I think I will go elsewhere for my business!

Service Tech Ryan was very professional & did repair work without delay. Helped us learn about our unit ( we are new owners) and gave info about scheduled maintenance etc.We were very satisfied!

We had our routine AC check today and Ryan came in, was professional, efficient, and provided recommendations. Top notch service and would recommend asking for Ryan.

My Mini split for the main bedroom stopped working. They came out and found the circuit board in the outside unit had burned up. They promised to buy one and install. A week later I had to call to ask why I had not heard from them. They said the board was not available from the suppliers they deal with. I asked if they would install a new 38SEER mini split that I would buy for $1,347 including installation kit and free shipping. They refused saying I should find a different company. They dont offer 38SEER heat pumps. Only low performance 24SEER. From discussion with them it appears that when they buy the equipment the installation charge works out to about $600 per hour or more. They tried to hide it by saying they dont charge an hourly rate only a flat rate and their charges are fair. This is not fair, it is horrendous. They took a couple of hundred dollars from me and I got nothing.

I highly recommend GP Plumbing. They are very professional, on time, great communicators, priced under competitors and great quality work. My phone calls were immediately returned and they showed up when scheduled. I have used them in the past for small plumbing needs and recently used them for a new sewer line from my home to the street. Guy Poirier and his crew were excellent to deal with for this huge issue of mine. He explained everything that would be done and completed the job as described. Considering, there was large equipment on my yard and a lot of digging, my yard looked very nice when they were done. I could tell they take pride in their work. Guy and his crew were VERY knowledgeable and I felt extremely confident in their work. Guy didn’t try to up sell me on this job (like other companies tried when I got quotes) GP Plumbing was the best price out of 3 quotes I got from other companies. Including the office staff, everyone I dealt with at GP Plumbing were very friendly and professional!

This is the most phenomenal Air Conditioning company I have ever seen. It is so great. The service is so great, they work fast and efficiently and I have had no issues since my AC broke down in 2017. The prices are great and there was so extra charges what so ever.

This is the worst company you can possibly work with. I am giving 1 star simply because it would not let me give negative. I had them come out to replace a water heater and fix and air conditioner. Turns out it was the kickstarter and needed 1lb of freon. That was 650. A little high, but thought they would take care of us on the water heater. They sure did. 1250.00 to install a water heater. They added a drain line by drilling read kicking a hole through our wall just to make sure I needed a drywaller to come as well. When questioning the 1250 charge and showing an add for 495.00 water heaters, the owner Guy got so defensive and told me that add never should have been run and they need to make money on buying water heaters. He also said there was so much entailed. I disagree as total time spent on job was 40 mins. Super involved job. Stay far away as there are so many better options such as Bergau plumbing. Live and learn and boy have I learned. Guy you should be ashamed of treating families who have helped you as much as mine has this way.I will add to my review as they have decided to challenge the validity. I had a friend time the work that was done. That is how I know it was 40 minutes. I also did not have to replace the drywall behind the heater as it has a few specks of mold from the humidity caused by the water leaking. I will add a picture for proof. Also I will add the picture of the spot that the tech clearly kicked a hole in our wall. Funny too, they dont address the fact that they have an add running for 495.00 water heaters installed. I knew it would be more than that for the drain pan, but not 1250.00 total. Also we had the wall ready for the heater install before the tech left and we told him he could put it in right then. He said he couldnt because the office told him to go to the next and come back later. And yes my brother in law did a lot of work in another business with the owner, it was less than reciprocal. Plus, I was not looking for a deal because of their relationship, simply an honest and fair price. I received neither and I am simply telling my story. You can decide for yourselves if you make the call to GP or not.

Honestly, this is the only company I will call in the area. Ive dealt with several companies in the area over the years and by far this company is the most honest and upfront to the point of any problem you encounter with your system. They value their customers and go above and beyond to tend to our need of wanting COLD air! Thank you so much to the Owner, Office Staff and my Technician Ryan today. The best dressed plumber in the area...HE CAME IN KHAKIS AND DRESS SHIRT! No plumber’s crack. Haha. In all seriousness GP plumbing is amazing and a company that clearly takes pride in integrity. That is hard to find in this area. We have been ripped off by so many companies in the past. We are very happy to have found this company. They will have our future business as we remodel our home. We called for water heater replacement and they were lower priced than the five other companies we called. They came quickly and performed excellent professional quality work...can definitely tell they have many years of experience. As I said before the plumber wore khakis and a dress shirt and had our water heater swapped out in no time! He didn’t even get dirty. I was amazed. I can’t wear a white shirt more than 15 min before getting a stain. Hire GP plumbing for your plumbing needs and you can rest assured you aren’t overpaying and the job will get done right.

Can not give this company enough stars! First class from start to finish. My mother in law passed away and during that process our A/C unit quit working (90 degrees outside). We contacted this company and they sent out a tech the very same day. The tech was not able to fix our A/C and stated we were going to need a new one. They would not have it in till mid week but left us a portable A/C conditioner that was a LIFE SAVER! The price was thousands of dollars below our original quote we received last year from another service. Within 3 days, we had a new a/c installed and could not be happier with our decision. It is hard to find an honest company that stands by their word but GP Plumbing & Air Conditioning did just that! Thank you to their entire team!

My AC hasnt drained correctly since it was installed. They LOVE coming out and sucking drain line for $200 a pop, but still have not fixed the problem. The unit is only 2 years old, I shouldnt have to vacuum my line literally every week, sometimes multiple times a day. When I call to complain they try and sell me a maintenance package. Id be happy to buy one IF you took care of my problem first! Gonna seek help elsewhereUPDATE:While I may NOT be a certified AC Technician, I am a customer, a customer who grew frustrated enough to take time a write a review. I wrote the review because I felt I wasnt being heard, that the same problems happened over and over again even with priming the tap. I would have entertained a member of management coming out to see what was going and suggest solutions. I did receive a phone message, but was on the road that day meeting with clients and unable to return the call. Hours later I saw the written response below. Instead of the Sorry for any confusion, how do we make this right, I am given an out-of-context list of my service records (some of which is incorrect) and implications on my inexperience being the root cause of the problem. I dont need to write anymore, this is NOT how you should treat your customers...I did get a second opinion this weekend, the pitch on the main drain line was insufficient (like no pitch at all) causing my drain pan to continually back up. There are other installation issues that I will be fixing as well.

1)They put in a 2 ton system that was only set up for a 1 11/2ton.2) They changed the location and made the drain lines very complex with elbows so it is bound to collect algae and debris. 3) They did not file with the city to be inspected.Nothing but problems.

I purchased a new HVAC unit through GP this summer after my old one had quit. I was happy with the initial service and install but obviously have up until now only had need for A/C. With this recent cold spell the temperature in our townhouse dropped to 67 so I set the thermostat to heat up to 72. It sounded like the heat had kicked in yet after an hour or so the temp had not changed. I contacted the answering service on the weekend to inform them and they told me it would cost $135 to send someone out to look at it and $135 per hour for labor. I expected, after spending over $5k for the unit that they would have wanted to make sure the unit/thermostat, and installation were working properly and under warranty, but she insisted that service was not covered. After some attempts to get the matter clarified, they continue to insist on the charges even though the unit is covered under a one year service agreement. Not only did they not stand behind their original products and work, but they treated me rudely and disrespectfully when I tried to call the original salesman to verify the circumstances and insist that they stand behind their work and product. He reprimanded me for calling him directly, and told me to call on Monday morning to arrange for a service call. Not only did he treat me like someone who was trying to get something for nothing when I called on Saturday, when I called again this morning and started to talk to the woman in the office, he interrupted my conversation with her, and rudely, told me they knew all about it and Id have to pay the $95. service call fee for a weekday service call. I may need to pay the service fee to get my brand new unit working properly, but I would NEVER do business again with a company that treats their good customers with such a lack of appreciation. Good customers are easier to keep, than to find. Update: I was finally able to get the company to send someone to check it out. After a couple of hours they had replaced the heater. It was covered under the warranty but they still insisted on charging for the service call. When I spoke to the representative at Rheem, they indicated that when a unit is defective a service call charge is typically waived. Charlie, the HVAC manager hasnt responded to my request for the charge to be waived. I have never been treated badly by any of the other technicians Ive dealt with at GP, but I could never recommend them after the way I was treated by Mr Costa. Notwithstanding anything in the following explanation, An extra $95 charge for labor when the heating unit never functioned properly to begin with should have been covered under the initial installation cost of the new unit. I paid a premium for the cost of the rooftop installation to begin with. Costs of labor to ensure a brand new unit is working properly should be simply part of the cost of the initial installation, in my opinion, and insults and rudeness when I expressed that opinion are out of line, (also my opinion).

Ryan came out to do my 6 month service of my AC unit. He was very thorough and explained the entire system in detail for me to have a better understanding how the system operates. Ryan was fantastic.

The young guy that came out did not fix anything. He said he was going to put in a new blower motor but the electric never went off as one would expect when working with electric. He showed no old motor. They already had my cc# for the service call. The next morning when the ac still did not work he came back, the owner came a few minutes later and told me to Shut UP! The behavior was so bizzare and I felt scared. We are seniors. He tried to run my credit card several times. I saw on other review sites that the owner had intimated other customers.

Guy and Angel showed up EARLY for the appointment and did an outstanding, professional job! Both are very knowledgeable, professional and dedicated. Tested their work and made sure that everything was up to PAR! I have only been in Florida for a week-I will definitely recommend and use GP plumbing for ALL MY future plumbing needs! Great to know that honest, dedicated and professional companies (and People-Guy and Angel are GREAT!!) still exist! I’d give them 10 STARS IF I COULD!

We had Ryan as a Service Technition. He was a Pro. He wore his mask, stayed socially distant and was extremely knowledgeable and patient with my wife and I. We set up a new Honeywell wi-fi controller and he made the process painless. I would recommend Ryan and GP. They were not the cheapest company I called but I am glad I spent the extra few dollars to have their service it was worth it.

Ryan was out here today to service my AC. He was awesome. He educated me on some things to do to keep my AC maintained in between annual servicing. He showed me myUV light was not in the correct place, so he moved it. I felt very confident that my unit is up to par for the season. He is truly an asset to GP.

We called this company at 8:00 at night and they sent a repairman out for a service charge of $150.00. He stated that our blower needed to be fixed and charged us another $700.00 and left our in house filter on the ground flthy dirty , didnt clean up after the work. When we asked about the cost he stated that the service charge was included in the original repair amount estimate of $750 but added the service charge anyways. TWO HOURS LATER the AC was not working and we called them this morning to find out why we paid over $900 for work that didnt fix anything. he stated that the AC needed further repair after charging us over $900. he calls his supervisor and he copmes over and is insulting to my wife as soon as he enters the door. SO WE HAVE SPENT OVER $900 FOR REPAIR WORK THAT WAS NEVER NEEDED, THE AC STILL DOES NOT WORK, THEY WANT TO CHARGE US MORE, AND THE STAFF ARE AS NASTY AS THEY CAN BE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF!

The technicians that work there are great. Sales, and management are horrible. Purchased a brand new top of the line unit, had issues since day one. They dont care. They also installed a uv filtration system that I was told we would only need to change the filter once a year. Well, after 3 months the unit would not cool anymore because the filter was dirty. No big deal right? Wrong! It costs $150 to replace the special filters that they use! Oh, and you get free maintenance service for a year. Oh wait! They NEVER did routine maintenance on our system. Only maintenance they did was coming to the house to tell us the reason that the air wont cool is because the filters are dirty. They told me they could replace them, but they dont carry the filters for the unit THEY installed. This company is a JOKE. Go somewhere else.

GP Plumbing’s receipts should be better itemized to show exactly what the customer is paying for. It creates transparency and trust. Technician was very friendly and polite. I have concerns that we may have been overcharged as our receipt does not reflect what we paid. Gentlemen that contacted me about my google review was not very polite.

Ryan came out for maintenance service call on the unit GP Plumbing and Air installed a couple years ago. Since installation our electric bills have been cut in half. Ryan was very friendly and knowledgeable about the unit and explained in detail with pictures an issue we were having with a clogged drain pipe and how he would go about resolving the problem right then. He explained how to take care of monthly maintenance for best overall efficency. He told us we could call and ask for him personally when we had any questions or problems. So let me just say I was not very happy a couple days ago. Living in Floridia we ALL know what our worst nightmare really is.. the day the Air Conditioner goes out. 😫 🥵 I’ve had an ac unit for probably almost 7 years now. Other than basic routine maintenance, I haven’t had any problems. Then IT happened and to make matters worse it wasn’t a convenient time of day either when most businesses aren’t even open. It was around 7:30 pm at night, the company sent a service man to my house as soon as they could. Very surprising he was there quite quickly. Irritated about the whole situation I wasnt very happy when he got there. But thanks to RYAN he completely turned my attitude around😁 he was very prompt, informational, and he was patient with our frustrations and down to earth. I expected a employee with a not so accommodating attitude being so late in the day, but nope, Ryan came and saved the day! Turns out it was a moderately simple fix and we’re back up and running! I would recommend Ryan to anyone, this man needs a promotion definitely impressed his work ethics!👍🏻

We had Ryan from GP Plg and Htg out today to perform service on our air handler and condensor units. We couldnt be more pleased with the service and professionalism he displayed. Being new Florida homeowners we had many questions and concerns regarding tropical A/C systems. He answered each and every question with respect and a detailed explanation of things we needed to pay particular attention to.We highly recommend GP for your service work, and, if you get Ryan as your service tech you wont be disappointed.

Excellent experience beginning to end. Their price apples to apples with the other contractors was very competitive. On the scheduled date of the installation they showed up first thing with e a good size crew and got right to work. The installation crew were great guys and did excellent quality work . They were also very clean . 110 % satisfied !!

My AC went out on a Saturday and when looking at Google reviews GP Plumbing and Air Conditioning had the highest remarks...and I can now see why! 45 minutes after my initial call, Ryan showed up at my door as promised. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and kindly took the time to explain in detail the problem at hand. He quickly fixed the issue and I gladly paid him the reasonable amount for coming out on an “emergency call”. I highly recommend this company and will be using them again in the future!

Very pleasant and professional office staff gave me a reasonable time window for an A/C tech visit and they actually called back to ask if they could come earlier. This was great because it was 87°F in the house. The man who arrived was very knowledgeable and took the time to fully explain what was happening and what my options were. Best of all he got my A/C running. Great service at a fair price.

These guys are the best.Our A/C went out last night at 1:00 am and they sent a tech immediately for an emergency call.My girlfriend has some health issues that require her to stay in a cool environment, these guys took that into great consideration and acted promptly and most professionally.I would highly recommend GP. Absolute best customer service, courteous and helpful techs, and overall great company.

Called GP yesterday late afternoon because my AC was not working. Ryan was there in less than 2 hours. I’ve been a GP customer for over a year now. GP Plumbing and A/C is the best, full service, customer centric P&A/C contractor in the area. Jeremiah and the entire office staff and all the field personnel I’ve encountered are professional, fair, and primarily driven by true customer satisfaction. Unlike many contractors, they charge very fair prices and always discuss options and offer honest guidance without any pressure. The most important aspect of my dealings with GP is that they’ve proven to me to be honest trustworthy people who strive hard to keep satisfied customers. I waited to write a review until I had actual experience with them. Based on that, I highly recommend giving them a call even if you think you’re happy with your current contractor. I also highly recommend the annual service contract as they do an incredibly thorough job. Better than any I’ve encountered in the area.

We lost our cooling last Friday about 3:30 in the afternoon. My husband called them and they were at our home by 4:30. Ryan was professional and checked inside and out and fixed the problem within an hour. I highly recommend them and ask for Ryan!

I had originally given these guys a stellar review, but that has changed over the past 2 years. They did a good job with the original installation and their price seemed fair. The maintenance contract, however, has been horrendous. I was supposed to get 1 year maintenance included, every 6 months maintaining the unit. At a little over a year they hadnt been out here and my system plugged and stopped working. I called them and they wanted to charge me a bunch of money. I asked about the maintenance contract, and they said sorry, but theres no way we would have know if the line would have plugged even if they had performed maintenance. With a lot of talking and the owner belittling me, I got him to remove the charge but he made me purchase another year maintenance agreement even though they had not performed the maintenance when they should have. So they came out once around 6 months later, but only because I called them. Then again they came out one more time but with monitoring of the employee, I dont believe he did anything other than take the door off of the AC unit and sit in his van.Today, I had to call another AC company to come and look at it because Ive had enough with GP, and its a mess. The inside of the air handler is flooded with water, insulation soaked, mold beginning to grow in there, needs $2,600 worth of labor to clean out. The guy said that the float valve was installed incorrectly (wiring) and the maintenance definitely had not been done on this because the float valve was filled with sludge. Even if it had been wired correctly, it would not have been able to shut off the unit with a clogged drain.So I called GP today and they just argue saying they pulled a permit so I have no recourse. I am still under maintenance agreement, which is supposed to be every 6 months, but they havent been out since March and in their estimation this is on me. So here I am. They were an A company on angieslist when I hired them. Theyve moved to B and I can see why. I would not recommend this organization

I would like to thank all those involved in my trouble call this past Saturday for the repair of my Air conditioning unit Rayan and Harold were excellent. Rayan kept me informed as to when the technician would arrive. The technician was a gentleman by the name of Harold. Before introducing himself he put on his mask. Then he went on to put on plastic foot coverings over his work boots, I thought this was a nice touch, Any way he went right into trouble shooting with a professional approach. He explained to me some simple thing that I can do on my own to keep up with the maintenance of this unit. He also showed me the benefit of having proper airflow into the room were the unit is installed so that the unit isnt struggling to get circulating air, This is my 2nd experience using GP Plumbing. This experience makes me feel like I made the right decision the 1st time and now, how this trouble call was handled Im very pleased. Having some one come out on a holiday weekend I thought was feat in its self. I thought the pricing was fair. There is an expense every time that truck rolls.
