I dont know what happened in the last year or so but the quality of management has gone way down. When we moved in 2 years ago Keary Motz, and Susan OConnor were very responsive to all of our maintenance requests and usually had a maintenance technician out to repair what was broken within a few days. In the last year or so it has not been so. We have had not been able to open the closet doors in our master bedroom since May 25th. We have submitted several maintenance requests on the online portal only to have them deleted. When we call Keary or Susan about this issue they are very rude and only say the doors are on back order. The last time we spoke with Keary about this her suggestion was to remove the doors completely. When we said that was not and option she said why not? is your closet a mess?We have never once been late with our rent in over 2 years.I would not recommend this company for anyone looking for an apartment to rent.

Ive worked with a wide range of property management companies around the country and this is by far the worst. Prepare to follow up on every repair/maintenance request that sits on the list for months!Once they do fix an issue the complete disregard for cost and budgeting is unbelieveble. Do not hire this company.

Ive been living at Center Ave apts for 3/4 years now, when All County Neo were the property management. When Rem Com. took over about 1 year & half ago, the apt & outside maintenance went from being done on routine, to barely being done. There’s always a maintenance problem with the water, hot water, outside lawncare/maintenance is barely kept up. With that being said, Rem Commercial sprung a 2nd new lease on several tenants after Covid 19 w/ an increased rent ONCE AGAIN (2nd time), leaving most of us w/ NO choice, but to leave by the new lease date! I have been there one of the longest, haven’t had any problems with anyone or the new property management & has kept a very clean apartment & after receiving my Move Out Summary, im convinced the property management just wanted some money, because some how it doesnt surprise me to have SCRUBBED that apt DOWN from WALL to FLOOR, taking $345 out of $609? For Cleaning: Oven, while the oven has had roaches infested in it since BEFORE i moved in, its been had dings/scratches on it YET CLEANED VERY well, or even something else as petty $20 charge for “Drip Pans”. I don’t even know what those are, as it is NOT on my original Lease from All County Neo & $100 for smoke smell, when the place actually didn’t smell of smoke AT ALL! Do NOT, rent under this property management. All they want is MONEY. They do not care about any of their tenants & they’re unprofessional!

I have been renting from Rem for over 6 years now and my experience has been wonderful! Ive lived at 2 different locations and never had any problems. Any maintenance issues that i have had have always been taken care of immediately. The staff has always been very kind. Property manager Susan is the best! She is so kind and always so helpful! Id recommend Rem to anyone!

Moved out and they charged me $150 for mini blinds to be replaced that were broke or missing before I moved in and that was when another company managed the apartment building. Unresponsive. Cant get ahold of anyone.

I am not a fan of review sites because, typically, unhappy people are the only ones who write them. I am an investor and REM has managed my properties for over 2 years. They do a great job and allow my to focus on my own career. I commend REM and the team that assists me to the fullest. Great job and thanks!!

I have been renting from the same REM Commercial property for over twelve and a half years now. They have always been very prompt to fix whatever problems we have had. They have a wonderful online portal that allows you to submit pictures with maintenance requests and streamlines all the necessary documents and rental payments in one easy place. Susan, and her team, have always gone above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of the best that they can from lawn care, to clear parking lots in the winter, to the most prompt emergency after hours care, they have us covered. I rented from REM the first time in 2008 for 7 years, then again in 2017 until present day. They have been awesome to my daughter and myself, and also during an unfortunate fire we had in the winter of 2018. Things have been handled quickly and smoothly, and I have not had to worry about a thing!!!! I recommend anyone that is looking for great properties in great neighborhoods to contact REM Commercial today!!!!!

My son and I have been living in the same place for 17 yrs and Rem took over Fitzpatrick. The transition was smooth and Susan was fair and kind to my son and I. They even let our pet be grandfather claused in with no additional fees. When I have a maintenance issue they have always been johnny on the spot to fix our issues. I have been renting one of their properties for 4 years, and if I have any maintenance issues they are on it! And if its not fixable its replaced. I work from home so they are understanding when it comes to maintenance they work around what is available with me and my schedule. They have worked with me when I had fallen on hard times getting my rent in a little later than I should have, they were understanding and made an agreement that was very helpful to me. If you have open communication and are up front and honest then you get mutual understanding from both sides! I recommend them to anyone in need of a place to live. The staff and maintenance are always personable and friendly!

I along with my wife(Cathy) have lived here for almost 10 yrs now , love the location and neighborhood. REM fixes whatever goes wrong usually that same day, the office staff are very pleasant and professional to deal with and finally Susan is the Best! She is the Manager and takes care of her renters, she is very fair. Bottom line is this is a nice place to live with reasonable rent:) You cant forget your living with 11 other families in a building as well, so following the rules will only help you to be able to live here longer;) Over all, Good place to hang your hat:)

I have been renting with REM Commercial for over 17 years, so it is truly my home. Susan, Keary and Jamie have always been easy to communicate with, very accommodating and have responded to any concern or maintenance request in a timely manner. Ive enjoyed living here over the years as itsconveniently located to many businesses, and the residential neighborhood is very nice, so a goal of maintaining the building and grounds to the standards of the surrounding properties/area and offering tennants a sense of pride and continued value will be key to keeping their units filled.

Our power went out in our building in Akron, we called they said there was nothing they can do because the sold the building two weeks prior and do not have the contact for the new owner.we have issues in our apartment that had been yet to fix , they moved up into an apartment the windows were broken during the storm the window blew out and broke my tv

They started out so helpful and the complex was cleaned on a regular basis. Then that started happening less and less frequently. I have been asking for a second key since August when they changed all the locks. Since I live alone, it was not a priority for them.They lost my signed lease (placed in their late night drop box at their corporate office, BTW) and tried to charge me a fee for not using their rental insurance. They tried to back charge my account for not paying the previous month, even though I have records that I did. Finally, my power went out in half my apartment and they hired a guy who can never call back ever. Im so glad I have new apartment management. If I could give them less than one star, I would.

Awful company, extremely rude staff. They’ll Harass you even if you’re a good tenenat and pay your bills on time. If I were to list everything that’s wrong with these people we’d be here all day! Please do yourself a huge favor and rent somewhere else!

These people are terrible. They like to all of a sudden charge you a bunch of fees, not tell you or investigate, and then put a three day notice on your door. They lose your rent and hire terrible personnel to mow the grass. They do a half hazard job and dont even cut away long weeds so you can see your parking spot. They never do anything about neighbor complaints and have the rudest staff. Never will I ever rent trough them again.

If I can give a negative star review that is what this company deserves. I am a landlord and I can attest they are the worst property management company. They are liars and scam artists not just for to their landlords who they represent but to the tenants. they do not complete jobs, they over charge on everything in terms of maintenance works. they bring tenants that do not even qualify financially for your property. AGAIN STAY AWAY, THE OWNER WILL TELL YOU TO YOUR FACE HOW ORGANIZED THEY ARE BUT IT IS COMPLETE BS.

Terrible company, very shady business. Customer service is non-existent. They do not answer their phones and take sometimes days to reply to simple questions via email and usually only after a second attempt. As a home owner, I used REM to rent out my property and not only did they bring in a tenant that completely trashed my house and destroyed the carpet, they failed to tell me about the damage until more than a month after the tenant vacated. Its now four months later and im still in the process of repairing the damage and getting my vacant house rented with another property management company. DO NOT entrust your home with these people, they do not care about you or your property.

REM Commercial was easily the worst landlord Ive ever had. I lived on Beechwood in North Canton from 2010 to 2011. I was treated with very little respect and they are terrible at maintenance.After moving into a dirty apartment (and I have pretty low standards), I made a list of items that should be fixed. I noticed that the stairs to the loft were barely attached and the bedroom window did not actually close. I put in a maintenance request and neither were fixed. Im willing to bet, if I were to go back to that apartment those would still be issues.About the time fall rolled around, I would only have five minutes of hot water. I did not have a fancy shower head or anything. I called up REM Commercial and asked them if they could fix the water heater. I was informed that the water heater was my responsibility and they would not perform any repairs.Lastly, due to a mix up, I paid rent several days late. It was my fault and I was was prepared to pay a late fee and hear unkind words about paying rent seven days late.What I was not prepared for was a letter on my door that stated I have three days to leave or they would begin the eviction process. I was not months late on rent. It was the 8th of the month (and it turns out, they actually had my check).So, to straighten this out, I call REM Commercial and the receptionist (who always seems to be inconvenienced by answering the phone) informs me that the person I need to speak to is not available and I can leave a message. I leave a message and no one calls me back. The next day I begin to call hourly and the person is still not available. I eventually reach the property manager who informs me that they have received my check and they will not be forcing me out of my home.Now, it had no mention that I could stay if I paid the balance. Maybe this was assumed, but I certainly had no idea. The whole situation was incredibly stressful and is something I never want to go through again. I can certainly understand a late fee, but a three day notice on my first late payment?When looking for an apartment, it is my strong recommendation that you avoid REM Commercial. The only thing they were good at is giving me a headache.

Always rude on the phone, nothing ever gets done. The washers are always broken. Snarky and sarcastic comments on the phone as well as rude voicemails. If you live in an apartment and hear REM Commercial is taking over, you are better off moving now and saving yourself the headache.

I was very disturbed by my maintenance man on his recent visit. Ron Kuhn was apparently high on some kind of drug and the worst part is he was flirting with my 13 year old daughter. My complaint was not even taken seriously and when I asked if they screened their employees for drugs they said no. I found out later that Ronald Kuhn is related to someone in the office. Regardless, I feel unsafe having a rental company that hires drug addicts and perverts.

Not a great experience, it took them over 3 months to even say they had a tenant for my house while others in the neighborhood were on the market for a week or so then gone. Then I am hit with all these mowing bills that I was unaware of. I paid on 7/30 but they only charged me a month later. Oh by the way, I have had my house for rent for a week now and have had 15 + hits on it. They take advantage of people and you are certainly not a priority until you owe them money. STAY CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE, ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.

These people are absurd... worst renting experience ever!!! They never want to fix or maintain anything, but heaven forbid youre 5 seconds late with their money. They will be posting eviction notices on your door the first second they can. I rented from them for ten years. There were things they were supposed to fix when I moved in in 2002 that still were not changed in 2013 when I left. Then they try to charge me 600$.. lol good luck. .Upon moving out they hit me with a bill to replace the carpet. What landlord doesnt replace carpet after ten years and before a new tenant moves in..They made a number of financial mistakes on my move out paperwork all covieniently benefitting them.Ive made numerous attemps to contact them and resolve these issues with no one ever getting back to me.. I guess Im going to have to get my friend that is a lawyer to get their attention. ..Id highly advise renting from anyone else... these people are crooks charging top dollar for middle of the road apartments that then expect you to cover their upgrade costs when you move out..

Awful. Moved into a dirty apartment with many problems. Woke up to the smell of marajuana every morning. The oven never worked and it was never replaced. They never provided me a copy of my lease after many attempts. Do not rent from REM. Its not worth it.

Lived here for a yr......all maintenance requests died...only one that was repaired was the non-hot water washer that wouldnt accept coins....rampant drug use inside and out...bass busting music at all hrs..i sent 35 e-mails and it still goes on....they will not do a visit after 5 on weekdays and never on weekends....all the tenants know this...no wonder only the druggys stay more than a yr...its a haven for them to do what they want

DO NOT RENT FROM REM!!!!WORST landlord we have ever had!We were in the house for less than 2 yearsThe refrigerator constantly leaked, and the windows were NAILED SHUTThey tried to come back at us for $1800!!! We took care of the yard and everything in the home!
