I hate this place so much they would not let me pick up my baby’s package even with the proof of purchase and tracking number all because my ID didn’t match. This man at the counter is the rudest person ever and he has a smart mouth.

My regular mail carrier has been off for the pass few weeks and I have been getting my mail as late at 6:30pm or not at all. I have not received any mail for 10/2 or 10/3 even though my mail alerts says I have mail. I have also not gotten two packages delivered and suddenly sent a notification to pick up the items at the post office. When my son went to the office, they could not find the packages. I have been living in Calumet City for over 17 years and this has never happened. I understand the COVID issue is world wide, but this is utterly unacceptable! This post get 3 stars. ONLY because my regular mail carrier is a wonderful and pleasant person!! Yall have and must to do better. We depend on you!Also, the office websites states the office opens at 8:30am. I have been calling them today since 8:45am and getting the office is closed voicemail.. WHY??

Oh, how I wish this post office was in my neighbor(South Shore). They have always been professional, efficient, and pleasant when I have dropped off packages. The staff has added personnel when the lines increase in size.I have heard customers come in with a complaint, and when they are tended to by the staff, their complaints are quieted. I am usually waited on by Mark. Always professional, ready to give customers truth in a firm non confrontational manner. I think to myself, Thats telling them! Shut up the complainers with gentle firm truth!I need to go to the post office this morning 2-19-21 and I am dreading it. 74th & Exchange is horrible. 77th Cottage Grove was closed yesterday, and I dont feel like going to a closed facility in all this snow. I actually did think for a few irrational minutes, Hark...Do I take the 30 minuted drive to this post office to receive some great service.? I dont because of the wintry conditions.Long review short, this is a great facility. My hats are off to all of the personnel who receives customers each day. 10 thumbs up everyone!!!!!

Had a horrible experience with the supervisor YOLANDA. She is unnecessarily rude and unaccommodating! I have had a POBOX there for over 20yrs and I have never experienced such unpleasant customer service until I had to deal with her. I know it has to be a nightmare working under her. The whole atmosphere is SOUR during her presence. The clerks seems tensed & the customers were frowning because she was so loud & obnoxious and she didnt satisfy me with good srvice.service. I wish she would go.

Very very very unprofessional and also rude, I believe they need to do an in-service for all their employees and teach them how to properly handle customer service. The workers are ghetto they are rude they’re unprofessional and make you feel uncomfortable in the facility.

I give this place three stars because we do receive our mail on time, and the ones delivering the mail are nice people. I have no problems with the carriers. They will hand me the mail even when Im outside taking care of the lawn, and service with a smile. However, at the post office, every time I walk in, service is awful, and not just to me. They dont want to be there, let alone deal with their customers. Today I went to return a package, and the guy taking care of me did not smile or give me eye contact. Its uncomfortable enough to walk into a place of business when we have busy schedules, but the least you can do is put a smile on your face and make the experience better for the customer. I understand that the employees do have to deal with negativity on a daily basis. I get that because I work in a customer service field, too. However, it is their job to provide the best service possible because not all the customers are bad. Dont ruin it for the ones who are good. The service was just awful, and I hope that improves.

Late January, I went to the post office in Cal City to buy stamps for a birthday card I was mailing to my son. The card had $20 cash in it. I left the card with the person I purchased the stamps from at the post office to be mailed out. My son never received the card. I can only come to one conclusion as to what happened to that card.😤

I had no problem and I wont complain, Ive worked at the Post Office for 15 years ,whenI go to Calumet City Post Office I expect a long line because I know Im not the only one receiving or sending packages or even buying stamps , we all are human and you dont know what someone is going through maybe a family member is in the hospital in critical condition , show the God in you, and there are times I go there and be the first in line but if have a problem being in a long line. Iget there as soon as the doors open. even some customers come in with a attitude soon they walk through the door, Postal workers are human too, some customers never complain and you have some that always complaining about something , I never had any problems with Mark , Jeanette or any other window clerk and I go there all the time with no problem, if you work there and you have to put up with 100s of negative customers on a daily basis you wont leave negative reviews ..God bless

Today I have a great customer service experience with Mrs.Jeanette at the post Office of Calumet City. She helped me with my mail and was very professional in the process. Jeanette made my day today and I wanted her supervisor to know that she is such a great employee of the post Office. Thank you

I have been a customer since 2007 or longer. I absolutely love this post office. I rent a box there and I dont even live in that town. There are many closer to me but I chose this one - great hours and excellent service, almost without exception.

Had to call several times to track my package. The Customer Service was great however that alone is not enough when there no initiative taken to the package to the correct location. The result ended in the package being returned back to sender when it did NOT have to. And l have to now contact an online Customer Service through email only to resend the package.

Why am I not surprised by the 2.5 review score for this business. They are awful ☹️. Donot purchase a P.O. Box here....you will probably not get your mail. My payroll check never came......my job mailed the check to the P.O.Box and weeks later no check. I did not receive it, and it wasnt returned.Disappeared!! Other things has happened as well. Not a good place to do your business.

I will never come to this post office again after my experience with one of the employees here named Mark Williams. He is always mean, has an attitude, and is rude. He crossed the line one day when he yelled at me because I asked him if I could get express shipping on a package. He didnt even ask me how I wanted to send the package, just assumed that I wanted first-class shipping. I reported him but he still works there and I dont want to be bothered anymore; I will just spend my money at another post office where I will be treated with common courtesy.

Omg this place is horrible and frustrating. I am moving next week and I can not wait so I wont have to deal with these incompetent individuals. I came to pick up my package that they wont leave in my two flat which is enclosed. I arrived at the post office with mail to prove my address and a passport and they still refused to give me my package stating that they only accept a drivers license. I further explained that I did not have my id because my purse was stolen. They did not care at all and was not helpful. There should be more than one way to gain your package.

The people here are rude and always talk to each other while theres a big line waiting. They take their sweet ass time and act like they dont want to be there. If you dont want to be there then dont go to work because people dont want to deal with your attitude. Always a big line because they move like turtles and dont care that people are standing there waiting. An employee who works there, I think his name is mark, hes bald, always looks at you like you are another bother he has to deal with. Very unprofessional.

Its been over the time of receiving my mail its been over weeks.see my mail at my new address I dont put in 3 complaints, then I still havent got my mail to my new address and ive been living at my new address for almost 2 weeks now.but can nobody seem to tell me where its my important papers in my mail

People where helpful. I ship a lot threw ebay so I go there and in the lobby Thay have a scale to check out the weight of your package and it will give you the price so I can tell my customer price to ship so I get go back home tell customer price. Customer pays and I print label on line bring to post office and Thay tell me wrong price that the weight is wrong and I have to pay more. So told them how I got the price and she told the scale is broken in the lobby and it gives the wrong weight and its been like that for a long time. All Thay needed to do is unplug it and put a sign on it out of service. Before it happens to them.

This is the worst Post Office I have come across since living here. The mail person never attempt to ring the doorbell or knock on the door just stick the “Sorry We Missed You” slip in the mailbox. I watched the mailman put the slip in the box and he had no package in his hand. This have been going on for way too long and nothing has been done about this.
