Ive brought my son and daughter here for months now and love Miriam! Shes so kind, does awesome work and always fits us in. My 3 year old started out screaming the whole time and now he almost makes it the whole time without crying! Tonight we had a little problem with my 13 year old daughter, who was being over dramatic about her part (after the job was completed) and Miriam fixed it so she is super happy now and ready for her 8 dances at dance competition tomorrow! Thank you so much for being there for us and taking such great care of my kids hair- it really means a lot to this Mama!

Never again. Poor braiding skills. Zero customer service skills. I rated one star but that was so I could write this review. ZERO stars. Unprofessional. Like I said, NEVER again.

The braids was overpriced. If you do go here be looking forward to pay to 200 to 300 for box braids . I got my hair done twice here they was cute when I got them but they don’t last long I had braids slipping out my head ( in two weeks time ) She is a fast when doing braids .If you pay with cash make sure you bring the right cash app amount she will forget u to give you your change but I wasn’t tripping I was late so I let it slide …. I was charge 5 dollars Bc my hair wasn’t detangle so make sure your hair isdetangle Good ladies/ guys Also I got a sew in I felt like she rushed my hair and it didn’t meet my expectations at all so never again with this place

My visit to Burnsville Safari Hair Braiding was by far the best experience that I have ever had at a braid salon and I’ve visited enough shops and have had plenty of experiences in the 23 + years that I have been getting my hair braided in public establishments.First of all let me say that this shop for me is an answer to prayer and is truly a blessing and I am very thankful to finally have found a place that I can get my hair done where it is professional yet very friendly at the same time. As soon as you walk in the door the atmosphere very neat, clean, inviting and very roomy.Rama, who is the owner and manager, did micros for me and not once did I feel like she was not going to pull my hair out, nor did I dread her grasping the hair or feel like I had to breathe as though I were in labor. I have all natural hair and it is thick and fairly long, not once did she act like it was an issue or like my hair was getting on her nerves (some of you reading this know exactly what I am referring too) Each braid that she attached was very neat and uniform looking and she was gentle as she sectioned off each little piece of my thick natural hair to braid.When I got home my husband took one look and said “now that’s how you do it!” He has to go through the ups and downs with me when I have been disappointed with my hair so that is saying a lot.The other thing I need to add is that Rama is a very attentive owner and truly cares about her customers being satisfied and it’s not an act, she is a warm kindhearted person. You get the “I want to keep you as a customer treatment”, not the “I will take your money and do not care if you come back treatment:” She wants to make sure you as her customer are completely satisfied when you visit her shop and if there are any problems she will work with you to make sure that it gets resolved and that you are happy with your hair and service.I was also very impressed with her great suggestions and knowledge on the best way to keep you scalp healthy and keep your hair looking fresh for a long time.You want to experience getting your hair done in a classy professional shop, good conversation, with an owner that is kind hearted, beautiful on the inside and out, and definitely exhibits that she has high standards for her establishment; I highly, highly recommend this one.by far the GREATEST MOST PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!! I got kinky twists done. 2 women did my hair. The front came out perfect. The lady who did the back did a horrible job. She cut my hair off as well. I have pictures. That was so unethical. Instead of making sure my hair was secured inside the twist, she decided to cute it instead. The braids in the back are huge. Lastly, I was quoted 2 different prices.

Real interesting. I brought my daughter there for braids for the first time 2 months ago. I was charged $80 dollars and it took 3 hours with multiple braids and beads. My husband brought her today. It took 11/2 hours, less braids, no beads and was charged $110. This leads me to believe that you charge whatever you want or need. Its bullshit, totally unfair and dirty. Today was our second and last visit.

This is my second time receiving braids here & I just love it...My braids lasted over 2 months & I have made this my new favorite place for all my hair needs. Rama encourages me to continue on my Natural hair journey & I will continue to support Safari for all my hair needs.

I keep trying to give this place the benefit of doubt but its just biting me in the ass.I want braids thick to the spot I said not to a spot she thinks is right and then thin at the bottoms , very annoying . I pay 20$ extra for the length I wanted and she still put it at other length. Asked for middle part got some weird part , this is about the customer not what you want .

Hello. Thursday, April 11th I got my hair crocheted into faux locs. I told the stylist I didn’t want my locs to look thick and she confirmed with me that she wouldn’t. In result she did NOT do a whole section of my head and covered it up with other faux locs. I was very dissapont and asked for her to fill it in more in which she did but not well enough. I was unsatisfied with my hair. As a client I trusted her to do right by giving me a nice hairstyle and in return I give 140 dollars for a horrible job. I felt as if my money was wasted. And today the 14th my crotchet dreads started falling out. Your stylist did not have my crotchet tight. I am asking for a refund or for a new hairstyle with no charge . - a highly unsatisfied customer.

Hair looked ok but the way they treated my natural hair was so violent. If there was a knot in my hair she just aggressively combed through it. I’m hoping when I take the braids out my hair isn’t completely broken.

Too expensive

Oved my hair but my mom .....So they started at 720 and were done by 920. So when arrived (my mom and I) they helped right away, and this time I told them to be super careful with the tightness. The older woman who did my hair and hands of a cloud and the skills to match. She was done with my crochet twists in a hour and half . She was gently and cared about me being comfortable. Unfortunately my mom got a lady who had hulk hands and showed no mercy. At one point I look up an I can see her pain so I asked we can switch stylists. The lady doing my hair said yes, but the other one said no as my hair looked too thick... riiight besides the tightness my mom like the style a lot.

First time I went it was perfect my braids lasted over 4 months I was so happy with it. I decided to go back and get my hair rebraided which was one of the worst mistakes of my life due to the fact so much of my hair came out and my braid were so many different sizes I was so angry within a month my hair looked horrible I would advise everyone not go waste your 200$ Ive never went bald at my edges and now I am !!! That other review must be one of the workers dont get me wrong the place wasnt bad but they were on the phone rudely speaking loud and their African language eating and than touching your hair.The warning sign about refund was in the restroom so if you dont use public restrooms you will never see it. The workers give you a different price than the owner I guess to pocket money

Rude exeperience

I would not at all recommend this place. They over charge for their services for lower than sub par work. I just needed two braids. The part is not even centered and the customer service was horrible. I paid $40 and I could have done this myself and Ive never braided. Save yourself time and money.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. DO NOT GO HERE. I went here to get my box braids taken down and needless to say the lady was so rude. She claimed I was late when she told me to come before 6 and I came at 5:30. She had the biggest attitude ever and I was so confused. So since she was so pissed and claimed I was late I started helping take my hair down because another client showed up. I have VERY long natural hair and I was trying to cut my own braids so that she didnt cut my real hair and trying to show her where my hair stops. Well she took over the cutting and low and behold she cut of at least 4 inches of my natural hair. My hairdresser measures my hair growth every time I get it straightened and she cut off 4 inches or more in some areas. NEVER GO HERE.

I asked for box braid and she said 280 dollars for my 14 year old girl very overpriced and I could sense she was lying

This place is horrible the lady is rude and her work is sloppy. Ive gone twice and both times my braids fell out in a matter of days. The last time I went she was upset at how much hair I have and how thick it grows she kept bitching and then made my braids double the size I wanted saying it would save time for her because she had another customer coming. She then charged more than she originally said. Lesson learned I hope this place is shut down soon

This was the third time I brought my 12 year old daughter to this salon. I must say, they have been much more helpful in recommending and encouraging us in haircare than any of the other salons I have tried. My dgt has had Kinky twists twice now, and cornrows once, and this time she put some highlights in - they are gorgeous! Each time they had 2 stylists put them in which made the time fly by, and my dgt loves going (something she dreaded in the past). The braids look beautiful and last time lasted the full 8 weeks! I would definitely enourage anyone to try this salon! I know we will be back!

Pulled my hair and braided it too tight. Not coming back.

Walked in there wanting to make an appointment for crochet braids, I tried asking the lady that was on the phone just sitting there but she instead put her finger up as if to put me on hold and told me to wait until her phone call was done. I can go somewhere else with my money. Never going there again. They are always rude.
