I did Tang Soo Do for fifteen years on and off starting in 1996. I achieved my Black Belt, but because of the second degree and up black belt requirements I couldnt go higher. I made the classes, I knew the moves but I could not travel to black belt camps, tournaments ect. due to my job and family. Tang Soo Do has gotten weak, no hard punching, nothing. It is more of just a show and a dance now. I also boxed professionally and amateur kicked boxed when I was younger. Other than some escape holds Tang Soo Do is useless. I have been holding back for years telling the truth but I dont care anymore. Tang Soo Do and most other Karate styles are almost useless for real street defense. Do your research before you make a commitment.. Jujitsu, Boxing are the ultimate combination for defense.

I love being apart of the World Tang Soo Do Association. The since of brotherhood and family its members share is something truly special.

World Tang Soo Do is a great Marital Arts place I have been with WTSDA for over a year now nice people and great teachers and they r really family I meet Grand Master Bob this past April he seems nice. I am happy I made the choice to join WTSDA. Tang Soo

The World Tang Soo Do Association is the premier TSD organization in the world. Founded by Grandmaster Shin in 1982 to spread the art of Tang Soo Do globally. It has been my pleasure to be a part of this organization since its founding. Over the last 34 years I have met, trained with and offered instruction to students, Black Belts and Masters across the world. WTSDA prides itself of traditionalism, professionalism and brotherhood. I thank the Grandmasters, Masters and support staff for all the help and guidance they have provided to me as a student, instructor and studio owner.
