DO NOT COME HERE!! He is as shady as it comes. Brought in for a simple tire fill up and suddenly we needed an extra $800 worth of work. Uh. No.Not to mention he parks his overflow in front of peoples housing so they have no where to park. THIS CAR HAS BEEN HERE OVER A WEEK. Not to mention the car before- 3 weeks. How do I kno? Because I see them moved to YOUR LOT. Don’t take business you can’t park in your own lot.

I’m a low income female trying to find the most affordable place to have service done on my car. They have two different names they go under in the phone book with two different addresses. I accidentally called both places to ask for labor rates and was treated very rudely for making the mistake of not knowing I had already called. Wow that alone is enough to make a customer say “forget it not going there no matter how affordable you are”.

They took the car a day before 4th of July at a time they were not even supposed to be open and did an awesome and timely job. Took us out of a huge problem thanks so much highly recommend.

1). Rude-non professional communication on phone.2). On the phone price was $30.00 each/tire change.3). Price rise up to $40.00 each/tire change because of RFT BMW-19.4). I told him I did so many times to other Automotive repair services for tires change only, everywhere they charge $20.00 each/tire change only which includes balance, mounted installation/labor charge.5). I was trying to coordinate & good reasonable price with him with between $30-$35 each/tire change but he is fire up and seem like a non professional service.6). I agree with him $40.00 each/tire change. I told him 2 tires that needed to change, he said it’ll be done by 2pm.7). After 1st call @2pm, @3:30pm, @5:15pm, he took the whole rest of the day for just 2 tires that needs to change only.8). Conclusion: 1). “Money Speak Louder than his professional job” because I gave you money you gave my car in right timely manner but you fail your profession which means always remember “To Every Action there is equal and opposite reaction” God Bless You...🇺🇸👍🏿

A busy and thriving auto repair shop in Burlington that handles Domestic as well as many European makers (Saab, Volvo, Mercedes etal)They service my Genesis, as Genesis has no Vermont presence. All my dealings with Vitale have been superb.

I was in the area when my car was having issues with acceleration. I knew there was something very wrong and saw the A1 Automotive on the corner and pulled in on Saturday afternoon without an appointment. I had never been to this shop before. My check engine light had come on and I went inside the shop and asked Vitalie if he could take a look at my car. He was extremely busy with cars already there but took a few minutes to plug into my car to see that my coil and spark plug in cylinder 2 were the issue. Not only was he willing to help me out but was very nice and had a positive attitude. We waited for my car to cool down and he replaced the coil and 2 spark plugs an hour later. He was very fair in price and Im truly grateful for his time. Thank you so very much! Maya 💗

Ive been looking around for a mechanic to fix my 2004 BMW X3 for over 6 months (since i bought it). This place is AWESOME! Took a couple days to get my fuel pressure regulator fixed. Wish i went there the first time... They were very informative and quick to figure out the problem and fix it. Also, fairly cheap which is awesome. Thanks guys! I was in here to have my Lower control arms replaced on my BMW X5. My original parts lasted 9 years and 90k miles. The parts he used were back to needing to be replaced after 10k. I later found they were used parts and I paid dearly for new parts. All I can say is he know what he’s doing.And chose to do that to me.

Vitalie tries his best to offer great and reliable service, but cant keep up with his own bookings. What a guy.. like deff a mechanic with skill, but prob should not own his own shop. Hire someone to run your place, and just do the mechanics.. would have better results.

I can’t say bad things about Here. Owner does a decent job no doubt; which i understand cause he has more cars on his lot than I can count. He is busy so does get pushed back on estimated wait times. Again not saying the owner does a bad job just would say-make sure you leave him with plenty of time for your car-listen carefully on quoted price (I did not, that’s my bad)

I first took my 2006 Volvo to A One Auto last Fall for a routine inspection and have since gone twice more (once, for a transmission sensor issue and most recently for regular maintenance). Each time I have been very pleased with the work that has been done. When my car had to stay at the shop over the weekend due to lag in parts getting sent from the Volvo dealership, I was provided with a loaner car (another trusty Volvo). Vitalie has quoted me fair prices all along and takes the time to explain and educate me on the issues and inner-workings of my vehicle.

I got the feeling that the owner Vitalie is an honest, good mechanic, who aims to provide great service at an affordable price. As it pertains to my car, he replaced the brake pads and discs on my Camry at a completely fair and reasonable price.As a bonus I was able to drop it off and have it ready first thing the next morning. A couple reviewers seemed absolutely shocked that a complex machine could sometimes require the mechanic to take more time than initially expected/quoted. I didnt experience this, but if I had at least I would have known all the problems were being addressed on my car and on those of other customers.As I was leaving he also took the time to show me my old brake pads/disc parts and why I was experiencing the noise I came in complaining about. I recommend his shop!

These guys are great. They are honest almost to a fault. They keep all the parts that they replace and show you the condition that theyre in. Ive been going there for 3 years and never had a bad experience. Their prices are fair, and they work with you to find the cheapest AND best pieces for your car. They bend over backwards for you to try to keep you as a customer.

Just had an 02 sensor replaced on my BMW. Was cheaper then the first quote I got by a big margin. He talked about a few other things he saw with my vehicle and fixed a tire pressure sensor that was acting up as well. Ill be heading here for any future work I need done! I definitely recommend.

Ive had my car worked on at a few different places around Burlington and A1 is a cut above. Vitalie is very knowledgeable, pleasant to deal with, and seems genuine overall. The last time I was there, he went out of his way to get me a loaner vehicle when an unexpected issue forced my car to remain in the garage over the weekend. Was towed here after experiencing a coolant leak while traveling in Vermont. I was a little bit nervous and impatient, understandably, but I was not made to feel welcome or comfortable here and was charged $100 by someone who simply replaced the coolant, didnt see a leak, and sent me back on the road. The coolant check indicator came on again a few hours later and I required another costly tow. The tow truck guy was the only helpful person I had spoken to all day and he pretty quickly diagnosed the problem based on symptoms alone--losing coolant with no visible leak in the cooling system is most likely a head gasket issue. My car was a Volkswagen diesel and the mechanic I spoke to claimed to be a specialist in these cars, but he proved to be incredibly unhelpful--he said that the white smoke the car was blowing was because I was using the wrong oil even I had been using the same type of oil for approximately 7000 miles and multiple oil changes with absolutely no issues, and the smoke was a new symptom. Because I had just had the oil changed and other fluids serviced I speculated that perhaps something had been done wrong during the service and thats why the coolant was leaking and I asked him to investigate that angle, but ultimately he didnt ask me the right questions and chose to blame what he assumed was my ineptitude about the vehicle instead of finding and diagnosing the actual problem. I was sent back on the road and put in danger as a result of this situation.I understand fully that he may have been very busy, but I made it clear that I was willing to stay in town overnight if he couldnt get to my car that day. I would have preferred better communication. He also could have replaced my head gasket and had my business (even if I had to leave the car in Burlington, I could have taken a bus back home and come back to retrieve the vehicle--Im very flexible). Instead, Im out an additional $250 from my second tow job of the day and I feel that oversight and a willingness to place blame on me for my car troubles really put me in a bad situation. If you have a Volkswagen/Audi/other foreign car but are not an expert in cars yourself, please do yourself a favor and look for a mechanic who will be respectful and forthright with you. My tow truck driver, who was NOT an expert in Volkswagens, was able to figure out the problem easily because he listened to me and gave us honest advice. I now have a costly repair to complete, which sucks, but Im happy to be giving my business to a different mechanic.

Vitalie helped me out with a mysterious water leak. He squeezed in working on my car on short notice. And did the tedious work of drying out the interior in his garage overnight, because it just kept raining outside. A few days later, I came back with a mysterious noise that was bothering me. He squeezed in looking at the car, and sealing up the exhaust leak as a short term fix that saved me a ton of money. He was patient and very helpful with information and explanations every time. Highly recommend!

NEVER AGAIN. I made an appointment to get my car inspected for Friday at 3:15. I go to drop off my car and the mechanic tells me he isnt able to do it as scheduled but to come back on Monday to drop off my car, and he will let me borrow one to go to work. I come back after work and was told he didnt get a chance to inspect my car. No apology, just a bad excuse. I have been going to this mechanic for 4 years, and this is how they treat a loyal customer? Im dumbfounded by my experience and will never go back. He didnt try to make the situation right, he told me he didnt need my business.

Worst experience at a garage ever. There are many other great shops near by you can go to for simple or advanced repairs.The Team is extremely slow, they took 4 days longer than they told me without any excuse or notice. Forcing me to call several times a day just to get a quote out of them.very expensive- with more than shady pricing, they Quoted me and gave me an outragously high total for the work on the phone, I agreed to it because they had already had the car for almost a week and I needed to leave town, when I walked in to pick up the vehicle up they tried to add on an extra several hundred dollars for forgotten labor. Total bs.Shotty work- The initial problem, a simple ball joint repair, was poorly replaced and is broken again less than a week later with hardly any miles being put on the new part. Repaired tire is now flat again. Replaced headlight- is out again. Replaced window- now wont roll up or down. Recharged battery- now dead...Located in Sketchy neighborhood- Somehow, my Car window was smashed out with nothing in the car stolen or gone through while in their possesion. I assume it was an accident on their part and I blame them for breaking it but theres no evidence to help my case so,i had to pay for the additional repair.If I could give them negative stars i would.Save yourself some money and time and let literally anybody else do your work. Please listen to the others reviews as well, clearly Im not the only one whos suffered from these crooks.

Wanted to charge me 240$ for a headlight switch plus 2 hours of maintenance cost. I went online and bought the part for 50$ and replaced the part myself in 20 minutes. Dont bring your car here is my advice

Thanks to Vitalie and A One Automotive, my 02’ Volvo S60 is still running strong and is steadily approaching 400K miles mark. I do basic maintenance on my own and take it to Vitalie when I grapple with questions beyond my knowledge base. Vitalie is thorough in his troubleshooting analyses and is honest in his repair estimates. He is the type of mechanic who will fix a loose wire at no additional charge and will tell you if you have a weak battery or a worn brake line. You will enjoy working with Vitalie because he is knowledgeable, approachable and honest.

Vitaly is fantastic, and always gives me more advice than I bargained for: For example, to rotate stored tires every few months to keep them from deforming/wearing down prematurely. Solid small business owned by a straight shooter.

Overcharges by a significant amount for sub-par work. We brought our Audi TT here a few times to be worked on by Vitalie and the work needed to be redone by another shop. The exhaust work done wasn’t done properly and required me to have it fixed elsewhere.

Love them, or hate them. Work done here is by manufacturers specifications.
