Overall it was a good experience. But, I was very disappointed that the service adviser didnt mention the website offered coupons for an oil change. Charging $195.00 for an oil change is ridiculous, and the offer to print the coupon makes for a pleasant experience at your dealership. Ive been around Chevrolet delearship for over 50 years because my father worked at one. Helping your customers save money goes a lot further then trying to gouge them for minor work

Service advisor was Carlos. Communication was terrible - no follow-up provided unless I initiated the phone calls. I am nine months pregnant and being without a vehicle made me extremely uncomfortable. I was not able to get a rental vehicle until 48+ hours after I dropped my vehicle off for service. When I was finally able to get in touch with the service advisor I was spoken to in a condescending way with attitude and lack of compassion, as if me wanting an update on my car was a huge interruption to his day. The rental vehicle I was provided was filthy on the inside. When mentioned to the service advisor his response was, “oh yeah, we didn’t get a chance to wash it before we gave it to you.” I found this extremely disturbing especially during the COVID situation & the fact that I could have potentially had to bring my newborn home in a disgusting rental car. This was my first experience with the service department as I just bought my car four months ago & it was a terrible one. I have an extended warranty and will need to come back but will request a different advisor next time around in hopes of a better experience.

Noe is an excellent salesman. I bought my previous vehicle from him, and now my new truck. He’s not pushy, and he’s patient. I didn’t feel rushed, or pressured into buying something I didn’t need. I felt comfortable as a female making my purchase without the company of a male standing by during the process.

A simple oil change that could have been done in a half hour or less took all day and Putnam was thinking of keeping it over night. This is unacceptable. I would suggest going somewhere else for maintenance. As long as you keep good records it will keep the warranty valid.

I love my car so much. Taking it in for service has not been a good experience. It just takes too darn long. This last repair (warranty) took nearly 3 weeks. I feel that we are over a barrel and have no choice but to have our car held hostage and let you all take your time. Its really a terrible system. You have a back log of repairs and you still accept cars, maybe Putman needs to get caught up with the cars you do have, and then start taking appointments again. I think it is reasonable that a car without a huge transmission or engine issue can be repaired in a few days. We have no choice, well be back there, but its a terrible way to run your business.

Service here is terrible. Service agent, Wesley, always over commits, doesnt communicate, doesnt fix what the vehicle is brought in for and doesnt respect customer time. When escalated, the response is our service agents have been around a long time and they are good at what they do. Next time, please work directly with service manager instead. Thats great, but still doesnt solve the issue that your service agent sucks.

We brought our 2020 Traverse in for a faulty infotainment system. After about a week, we were told that the problem was fixed and we could pick up our vehicle. We arrived only to find out that the problem persisted and we had to leave the car again. They told us that they needed to order a new screen and didnt know how long that would take. Given all the issues, like the pandemic and semiconductor shortage we understood. Then we were told that someone would call us with an update and that call never came. A few days later I reached out to our point of contact and left a message but he never returned our call. I called again a few days later and he told me that he quit his job. I called the service center and they told me the car was already ready for pick up and someone should have called me. But no one had. When we arrived, no one could tell us if our car had been fixed or not. Finally they found it and the screen had been replaced much to our relief. However, we discovered scratches around the screen on the molding which were not there before the replacement. We had had enough and wanted to leave with our car working, so rather than risk further damage to our car we left. Our original service rep told us that because he made us come down the first time and it wasnt fixed, he would make sure that they washed and detailed our car as an apology. But of course when we came the second time, the car was not cleaned and it had the scratches around the infotainment system. I tried to be very patient, considering the pandemic but this was a case of disorganization and poor customer service in my opinion.

I brought my truck in (Friday 8/6/2021) because of the engine light being on and having no to very little engine power. When I brought it in the service writer told me it was a warranty issue and all repairs were covered. He also set up a rental car that he said was also covered and I double checked with him that is was completely covered because I was not in a position to be able to pay for it and didnt want it if I was responsible for it. I got a call on Monday 8/9/2021 telling me that the truck was ready but that now its not covered and that I am responsible for repairs and the rental car. This really hurts because as I told the service writer I do not have the money right now.

I recently purchased a new Cadillac XT5 from Putman Cadillac. Both the salesman, Hector, and the loan officer, Dean were very helpful during this process. Hector took the time to go over several payment options and after some careful scrutiny, we agreed on what worked best for me. Dean got me through the loan process pretty darn fast. Both of these guys are really personable which is big when you are making a large financial commitment.I will likely be a return customer.

Had a 40K service done, alignment, tires and smog. Service advisor left position never called me to tell me that the car needed 100 miles on the ECU before they can smog it. They forgot the alignment. Had to bring it 3 times to get all of the work completed. Alignment was incorrect 2 times. Spend a lot of money on ride services getting to and from dealership never notified of shuttle. You tend to wait a really long time when you drop off your call .Nobody welcomes you or asks can I help. Everyone just walks around with their head down. Dont like to say bad things but my experience wasnt that good.

This dealership/service department is not an inclusive organization.My wife, who never complains that she is being treated differently because she is a woman, has now said the men in the service department do just that…twice.You can read my Yelp review from 9 months ago, but she indicated they’re doing the same thing today…10 July 2021.She says they ignore her most of the time, when she goes to the counter to ask questions or when they check her in, and “talk down” to her other times.The bottom line is that we won’t be using these folks, for our service needs, again and we recommend that no one else does either until they fix their problem of being misogynistic.

I got a car for day but then it was going to take a week. I was told I am paying for the 1st day & they are covering the rest. Carlos spent 20 odd minutes going through the 3 pages of work done on the car & told me he covered the car.my part of the car was 1 day with nucar for 48.00.car was returned on 8 Sept-I was charged $278.00 by nu car on the 9th & 178 o the 10th.additionally, when I am looking at the itemized bill, I see another $304 charged by you for my car-when I was told Carlos Molina covered it.I called Carlos on Tuesday about this & he has not returned my call. I brought my Chevy Bolt in to address a recent recall, and found that I was at a recommended 45,000 miles service. I know the car is electric and doesnt need a lot of work, but I trusted Putnams recommendation about the different things that should be done. A completely overpriced $690 later, I realized they sold me on a bunch of stuff thats not required in the least, based on everything else Ive read on-line since then. I normally do my research before heading to a dealership, but thought service was different. I should have known better and will never return to this dealership for anything again. The service people were very nice and helpful, but they took advantage of my trust. I blame the dealerships model, not the individuals I worked with.

I came in with my work van misfiring and transmission shifting erratically. I left it for a few days. Sent a message to see if they were able to get it so I could reschedule work. No reply so I stopped by Friday morning to check in. Was told it would be checked on Monday. So I rescheduled the work I had. This part I appreciate but would have been better to know sooner. Got a call from advisor 4:30 pm Friday saying they didn’t find anything wrong with the truck so I could come get it. When I got there I asked to take a ride with a mechanic. One was not available was told come back Tuesday morning there will be someone here. The mechanic that rose with me was Henry who was very informative and knowledgeable. Was told the transmission cpu is slower than my foot. And the knocking sound is due to dirty injectors. Told me to put fuel cleaner in it every 3-4 full ups. I’ve done that since. The van still knocks and my tailpipe is black and full of soot. I’ve cleaned it recently and one day of driving there’s still a bunch of carbon build up. I understand I have a van that has a machine in the back I use for carpet cleaning. And had no affect on the drivability of the van. I’ve owned many chevy and other cars. I’ve never had a vehicle that knocks and shifts this badly. I was trying to be proactive and catch a issue before it happens. And understand since there’s no code coming up it’s working like it should. But with that much carbon buildup and knocking I’m getting in worried it is prematurely wearing and will run into issues later.

It was very difficult to get a hold of my advisors, I understand everyone is busy, but it took several phone calls, and when he said he would call me back and he wouldnt and I would have to call back myself. He was a very nice guy, but his communication was lacking. A lot of questionable things, after 2 days they couldnt even tell me the fault code that was causing my check engine light. For 2 days I was told that the foreman needed to take a look at it due the complexity of the issue. then I was told there was a mis fire, and that it needs a lifter and will need to be there for 3 weeks. then the following week I get a call that its done, and that there is no problem. The paperwork stated there was no fault code history or fault codes stored, but they had my truck for a week, with a potential misfire, valve lifter problem.

First time truck was in for routine service, it was there all day. Nothing was done.Brought truck in 2 weeks later for routine serviced Fuel filter change. 5 Hrs.later truck came out. Tires not rotated, and honestly $300 in labor and $100 in parts to change a fuel filter?As soon as the warranty expires there will be no more service on this truck by Chevrolet.

All I can say about my experience with Putnam Chevrolet is wow....Heres why. My husband and I showed up to buy a Chevy Bolt with a screaming toddler. However, the young man whom my husband had an appointment with was completely and utterly understanding. This young mans name is Anthony Martin and I have never been so impressed with a car salesman before. He was so professional, courteous and he genuinely cared about us as people. Every person who has rated him at five stars across various social media platforms are completely right. The buying experience with Anthony was less of a negotiation and more of a conversation. It certainly didnt hurt that Anthony is fluent in German so he and my husband who is from Germany were able to conduct the negotiation almost entirely in German. Anthony was so kind, considerate, and he did everything in his power to ensure that my family was completely happy with our purchase. I cannot overstate how awesome Anthony was to deal with!! Service department always very helpful. New experience buying a used loaner vehicle with 6K. Nice looking but the only bad situation was that according to my knowledge was never serviced after it left the floor and I was never notified always trusting the judgment of the sales department. anyway apparently the car is running much better according to my daughter since she is the person that drives this vehicle.Note.After one week in the shop we got the unit back without being clean nor exterior or interiorThank youFernando Franco

Jose’s professionalism and communication is what stood out as my Tahoe got a much needed service (oil change, fluids, tire rotation and replacement of the High pressure fuel pump) . Because of how well Putnam Chevrolet treats me and my Tahoe, I keep coming back. The check Engine light came on and I was told it would take 1-2 days just to tell me what the problem was. Im sorry but thats ridiculous. At least they should be able to diagnose it by the end of the day Or explain to me that something unusual is happening thats preventing them from downloading the check Engine light details.This was a horrible first experience, when compared with experiences at Ford or Toyota, which were very accommodating and helpful, in terms of giving me information and helping me get a ride instead of sitting in the waiting room.

I called Putnam Chevrolet on the morning of May 2nd, 2020 and spoke with Ramin (who seemed very professional) and inquired about the new 2020 Corvette. He replied: as a matter of fact, we got one in yesterday and is available for purchase; however, there is a twelve thousand dollar markup from MSRP since they are rare and hard to acquire & Chevy has suspended production on all vehicles due to the pandemic.I finally agreed to pay the $12k markup and decided to buy the car. I gave the dealership a $3k deposit on my credit card to secure the sale and got a call from the finance manager (Dean Peters) who congratulated me on my purchase & did all the due diligence on the vehicle. Dean sent all the purchase agreement documents via Fedex along with wiring instructions which I received a couple of days later; I signed and sent everything back write away. I then wired the balance of the purchase price to the dealership on May 6th at which point the car was fully paid for (including the additional $12k markup). I also called Ramin at the dealership and let him know that the wire had been sent and I will be scheduling to transport the vehicle up to Oregon by Friday the 8th of May; he replied: that should be fine since Im off on Thursday.I setup transport for Friday and emailed Dean Peters and sent Ramin a text. Since I did not hear back, I proceeded to call Ramin on Friday and mentioned that the shipper will be picking up the car in a couple of hours; he seemed flabbergasted and told me that he could not find my car. I said, Im sure they are getting it ready for transport. He replied: I dont think so, I think they sold your car. I was in total disbelief and told him to go to the sales office to find out exactly what happened. He remained on the phone with me as he started a conversation with his manager about the car; his manager asked him as to whom he was on the phone with; Ramin replied, my customer. His manager told him to hang up the phone right away (believe it or not).I called Ramin back and asked him to have his Manager call me. The sales manager (Al Vasquez) did call me a bit later and was very apologetic and mentioned that they sold the car to the highest bidder (while they had the full purchase price plus the additional $12k and all the signed paperwork in hand).I was in total disbelief, while the car had been fully paid for, it was still available to the highest bidder. Al said that they were not legally bound since they did not sign the purchase agreement even though everything was signed by me and in his hands plus the full purchase price. I then called the owner, (Kent Putnam) and left a message; however, I never heard back from him. I figured he was behind this whole scheme and most likely okayed the whole ordeal.To all of you who think that customers come first at Putnam; BEWARE, GREED comes first for them. They have absolutely no loyalty, integrity or backbone for that matter. They do not even deserve a single star. I truly feel sorry for Ramin who has to lookup to his conniving and dishonest superiors.I did get my money back a week later.

Ive bought over a dozen cars since I moved to the US from Hong Kong a few years ago and I am extremely picky about who I decide to buy my cars from. With that being said, for my next car I decided to order something custom from the factory. The car being a 2020 Camaro with the RS package with roughly $4000 worth of options on it. So when I walked into Putnam Chevrolet for the first time last week, I was expecting to be harassed and pressured into buying something that they had on their lot. However, my experience was the farthest thing from that. When I walked in, I was greeted by a young man by the name of Anthony Martin. The first thing I noticed about him was his professional demeanor and how eager he was to help. He even bought me lunch so I wouldnt be hungry during what he called a client consultation. We discussed the car that I wanted and even though he said he was new, I could tell that he was completely comfortable with talking to me. So fast forward to where we built the car from the factory. He made the experience as quick and painless as possible. It was a joy to work with Anthony and let me assure you all that if you want a stress free buying experience, do yourself a favor and buy from the best guy in the business, Anthony Martin!!

This one was a routine service, oil change and basic inspection. It was explained to me that it will take more than 3 hours waiting, the service agent offer a ride or suggested a way to enjoy my time. Also, he gave me an estimated for the service. Once the service finished, he explained everything was performed in my car and the conditions. Paid for the service and I was ready to go. He was very courteous, very professional explaining anything I asked. Great service!

Charlie, my Service Representative was amazing. My 2012 Chevy Cruze LT was towed in because I was having transmission issues (all the fluid emptied out while driving). My biggest fear was a rebuilt transmission but luckily that wasnt necessary. He kept me informed what was going on while they had my car for almost two weeks and when I got it back, it was running just as good, if not better! Not only saved my car but my bank account! The work requested was for a 36,000 mile check with the oil service notification light on. I thought as usual the brakes would be checked and all fluids would be done. I was told by service rep that the camero didn’t need anything other than oil change at this time. And the Brakes they would look at with out measuring them. Curious on that one since every car I’ve owned for 40 years always needed a safety check on break pads. I requested them to look at three items one being not being able to remove key from ignition without shifting in and out of park several times, the second the trunk latch would not release without pushing button 5 or 6 times to open trunk. This is an intermittent problem though, the third was for a glue repair on torn door seal. They replaced shift tower for key problem “ yea”. Could not find problem with trunk release and although told they would glue seal on two visits it never was done. All this is fine and can live with, but my complaint is - even with the appointments it took over an hour to check in car. At 10:00 am this should be after the morning rush of check in customers. I referred to my having doctor appointments and I needed to be there. That was why I made the appointments at the dealership when I did. I will try a different dealership next time.

The parts department helped research the most cost effective replacement part for my sons 2009 Cobalt turn signal socket. Putnam carries a smaller, lower cost assembly not even mentioned by our local dealer who had condescendingly offered a large headlight/turn signal assembly at 4 times the cost!! Putnam gets our business from now on due to their far more considerate attitude.

Worst experience ever !!! well lets start with my call to Putnam, the girl who answer was no able to find my appointment, I was on the phone with her for 45 minutes, I start with giving her my name, then my last name then all the information about my car, email, and cell number and nothing she was not able to find my appointment, she asked me multiple times if I was calling to the right place which I keep on telling her that Im calling from the phone number on the email that I received with the appointment confirmation she keep on cutting me off, putting me on hold, she seemed very annoyed, and once again she asked me if I was sure that I was calling to the right, which I responded that I calling to the number on the email confirming my appointment made the week before, she finally transfer the call to her supervisor, nobody answer I end it up leaving the supervisor a voicemail with my number to call me back, Im still waiting for that call. hang up and call again this time they were able to find my appointment since I was calling to let them know that I was running late in the first place, she told me to bring the car in anyways and since they were completely booked out I might have to leave the car overnight, no big deal I said, so I got to the repair center wait for a good 10 mins nobody check me in few employees walked by not even a you been help nothing, finally someoneasked me if I need help, we go over why I was bringing the car in he told me that the car have to stay in overnight, and I said thats ok, he also said he will call me and let me know what was wrong with the car, he never call to let me know what was wrong with the car, he call 2 1/2 hours later letting me know that the car was ready to pick up!!!!! worst experience ever!!!! not only I had to stop doing what I was doing to run to the train station since Im in SF so I can make it on time before the repair center close since in my mind my car was not to be ready, got in he send for my car saw the employee looking the car keys, saw one more I waiting then I heard someone said we can not find the car we do not know where it got park!!! I will be looking for another dealership when I need a repair or service on my car, we actually have 2 a 2016 Encore and a 2018 Envision.worst customer service.

The issue I have is who ever is making the decisions behind the scenes is cheap and not efficient. I had a few injectors go bad even though my suburban is 2 years old and has only 22,000 miles on it. The problem was resolved after a few days however a few weeks later I run into the same problem. I asked why this is happening on a new vehicle and explained my concern and the recent problem with my injectors. I was informed that GM no longer replaces all the injectors when there is an issue. Instead they will only replace the affected injectors. This is cheap... if one is bad usually the thought is they are all bad. Why roll the dice by only changing out the affected injectors. Now, the problem is not being fixed the first time causing me to bring my new 2 year old Suburban back in for the same problem causing an inconvenience to our families daily commuting, traveling, and chauffeuring the family around on a day to day bases. I am down sized into some stupid commuter that can not fit my family of 5 and does not meet the needs of our everyday schedule. This procedure on replacing only the affected injectors needs to change, not only because its a cheap way to do business but it also wastes everybodys time even their employees. It is all unnecessary maintenance that could have been prevented if it was just fixed right the first time. I hope GM revisits this and reviews their procedure on quality maintenance and servicing.

Leo Yi is our contact at the service department. Leo is a good listener, honest, explains everything very well, accepts our coupons they mail us:), and let us know the costs upfront. I would give them no stars if I could. I have had three bad encounters at Putnam GM and though I dismissed the first, tried to ignore the second, the third finally sent me packing. At first I attributed it to the service team being overbooked then when I was outright rudely ignored while trying to pick up my car and told to go elsewhere without assistance or guidance for repairing a smashed window, I realized they really did not want my business. Is it because I drive an all electtic car, Chevy Bolt? I must say they have validated my decision to avoid cars that need lots of service.

Do not come to this dealership! Absolute chaos no one knows where your vehicle is (for parts and services) something they said will take 10-20 minutes to do has taken almost 2 in a half hours. Had me pay and wait for my vehicle 20 mins later my vehicle was still not presented, than they tell me it wasnt done at all its still 30 mins out!! And i had a scheduled appointment!!! So fricken annoying & forget about finding anyone who knows why because no one speaks english or even can tell you where ur vehicle is. Another guy in the waiting room has been sitting here for 2hrs for an oil change and he had an appointment as well.

These guys have done great work on my transmission, engine, and steering, but they are NOT a track shop. I took my Z06 in for a routine pad slap and brake bleed, which should have taken them 1hr and should have cost $300, but they pushed me to opt for an additional $1000 of unneeded alignment and other service. The real kicker is that they then unnecessarily tried to replace the caliper stabilizer pins and broke one of the pins in the process. This forced me to miss my track day. And at the end of it all, they charged me an additional $400. I would only recommend these guys if you have a Chevy Bolt that you only need services once a year.

I just want to say thank you to these guys here especially DM, A month ago my car check engine light came on saying Engine power reduced on my 2017 Chevy CRUZE I called around I even call Stewart in Daly city where they gave me the ultimate run around and the customer service was completely terrible ..... but here at Putnam GM from the moment I walked in I was greeted I didn’t have to flag down anyone or wait for anyone to finally look at me these guys are amazing from customer service down to taking care of my car they didn’t give me any run around or crazy bill I brought my car in they took care of me down to my rental even down to my loaner car I just want to say thank you guys for helping me and if anything ever happened to my car again I’m only coming to you guys. For starters their employees will lie. My dad and I went to this dealership in order to lease a car, something neither of us have done before. While we were there their employees were constantly telling us how much money we would save. Two of their employees even specifically told us that all we had to worry about were the tires, monthly payments, and insurance. Surely enough, months down the line after I received my second free car service, they tell me that general maintenance is not under the contract and that only engine failure maintenance is covered and when I tell them that that was not what I had been told they claim that there is nothing they can do about it. Additionally I also have to pay for registration, which I was not notified about. As this may not be a problem to some, I am a college student who has other bills to pay and is struggling financially. I made this clear to the employees who initially leased us the car and they sadly used this against me by telling me lies to make me believe that this would save me the most money.In addition, they will try to swindle you. During my second car service they told me that I had to get my battery tub fixed. Immediately, the employee tried to get me to rent a car saying that it might not be done that day. I had to ask him to call the shop in order to figure out if getting the work done the same day were possible, which he did very reluctantly, and surely enough it was. Had I just listened to their employee right away I would have wasted money on insurance for a rented car that wasnt actually needed.All in all, if you are going to this dealership, which I highly suggest against, stay up on your toes and, from what Ive learned, read and ask everything before you do anything because the people here will say anything to get their way.
