Hello anyone and everyone that may bother to read these this review applies only to a purchase experience I had recently at this dealership and I am choosing to not post my government nameAsk for ShoramPreguntar por ShoramWho what where whenMyself interested in an advertised truck but with no image on dealership’s website inventory, called in morning hours Saturday July 3 to ask for details sales representative Shoram provides me with necessary information about truck and by late afternoon almost thirty minutes to closing time I arrive at location meet Shoram and his boss Mario so then I look at truck inspect truck test drive it OK I’ll take itI sign my life away for a few minutes after that. Fast forward 41 calendar days later new DMV license plates arrive on the mail. Add another 3 calendar days to the previous 41 and my new California vehicle title arrives on the mail.Shoram thank you πŸ‘πŸ½I would give you the additional stars but the finance department employee taking care of the paperwork was not too vocal not showing much enthusiasm

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review because I don’t like to take time to do it. But Putnam GMC did not take the time to fix and repair my vehicle.I am so frustrated and disgusted with the service and the experience I’ve had with Putnam GMC.!I brought my vehicle in to have it repaired twice for the same reason and they simply said we can’t fix it! Even though the car is under warranty. No service technician or service manager or employee attempted to repair my vehicle!Both times I brought it in for warranty work I was not given a loaner or even offered the second time. I had to bring it back for the same issue that they didn’t repair the first time. The service rep name Wesley called me and sounded inapt and very dis-interested in even helping. I purchased this car at a GMC dealership in Dallas. Anytime I went to that dealership I had excellent customer service.This dealership simply returned the car back to me by saying we can’t fix it and not effort to escalate it to find out how to fix it.When I picked up the vehicle after it had been three days for nothing! I picked up the vehicle and found they left a Post-it note on the dashboard saying β€œBob says this is broken β€œ with a sad face. I don’t know who Bob is but they left a Post-it note on the dash! I took a picture of it. This is how I received my GMC Terrain warranty work completion???? Really? Wesley stated there’s nothing we can do to fix it. They did not attempt to try harder to figure it out. So, they left a Post-it note taped to the dash!? What a absolute disgrace and horrible customer service. I sent the picture of what they left in the car to the dealership in Dallas and they were appalled. The dealership in Dallas that I purchased the car from called Wesley Putnam GMC to talk to him and they never returned his call. When you buy a vehicle and have it under warranty your dealership is supposed to fix it and if they can’t fix it they need to escalate it to a representative that can figure it out. I’m still in disbelief that their answer and the post it note! what a unprofessional and lazy service team. I would never recommend Putnam GMC dealership! The lack of customer service & concern from the staff is absolutely unacceptable. This dealership is absolutely horrible.

100% hands down the absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced. Bought a $90,000 truck from these guys and been trying to get the windscreen fixed for 4 months.They scheduled service, brought my truck in and then they said they didn’t have the part.Here we are 4 months later, make appointment to get my brakes looked at and the windscreen fixed again. They don’t know how to install it.They’ve had it all day and said they don’t know what they’re doing. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? All day and nothing has been done and they admitted to not knowing what they are doing.Mind blown at how terrible this place is.

Would highly recommend not going here, or at least do not work with Darius Fisher. He lacks key communication and service management skills. Service is lackluster and I will never be returning here, even for a simple oil change.Also would like to add these guys didn’t even add windshield wiper fluid, on a regular service job. Now I’m scared they skipped other steps.

After buying a lemon-off-the-truck three months ago from another dealership, I was in a pinch to find a new car. I had been to three other dealerships (Chrysler, VW & Honda) asking each for a nationally advertised deal, but was told each time that they didnt really offer that exact deal or had already sold the one car that had been advertised. THEN, I called Putnam and made an appointment for the next day. Pierre and Michael were FANTASTIC! I was able to get the advertised deal on a 2019 Terrain. Michael and Pierre treated very well and clearly valued me as a customer. They brought a car in from another dealership to meet my needs. Im extremely happy with my Terrain (favorite car ever) and will definitely go back to Putnam for my next lease. Michael and Pierre turned my lemon situation into lemonade! Thank you both!

Ive been sitting in on car deals since I was a little girl . I purchased my first car when I was 18 years,Im now 45 years old.I have purchased 6 cars and I have accompanied many friends and family members on their auto purchases .Ive been all over from Roseville, the Bay Area and down to L.A. Ive dealt with alot of Finance managers but Dean Peters (Finance Manager) is by far the best Finance Manager Ive ever had the pleasure of doing business with, he is very knowledgeable, very professional but he gave me such a close friend /family feel. I would say he is professional and yet personable. I could tell he genuinely wanted my auntie to get the best deal possible and she did. when we went there I wasnt ready to purchase a car but after meeting with Dean . I told him , that when Im ready to purchase my car ,I would be back and 2months later ,I came back and once again I received the 5 Diamond Treatment from Dean .. we had a great experienced at Putnam Dealership. Since then Ive told all my friends and family members to go see Dean Peters when their ready to buy their car . Trust me ,go to Dean Peters for the 5 Diamond Experience at Putman Dealership in Burlingame,Ca..

I was very happy when I purchased my car from them but when the car came ready for the first complementary oil change and service things went bad. Having an appointment didn’t help.Took a long time just to get someone to do the paperwork when I dropped it off at 9am and one hour and twenty minutes to pick it up in the afternoon even though the car was ready.Mark my service rep called for the runners to bring out my car after a twenty minute wait to touch base with him and sign the work order. 45 minutes later he gave up and got the car himself. No other employees wanted to help and avoided me. If it wasn’t for Mark I probably would still be there. Also they need to work on there social distancing as many of their employees weren’t wearing masks. They are understaffed and their is no team effort.I won’t be back.

I dropped my car off with several issues and they had no trouble identifying each separate problem. Wesley kept me informed of their progress and plans at every step of the way. My car was in great hands, I should have been coming here longer.They have a nice waiting room that never seemed to be too busy because they are quick at responding to each customer within a timely manner. I was interested in leasing a new electric vehicle that was eligible for the RED carpool sticker. I already have an EV so the cost of leasing a Bolt to allow me to continue to use the carpool lane was critical. Tony worked many options with me to find the right combination of initial and monthly costs that supported this quality of life option.There were many 2019 Bolt EVs to choose from, several of which were Premier trim plus all the extra electronics that I value. I drove a nice new Bolt home that evening. Since Tony lived nearby he drove me back the next day to pick up my old car and saved my wife a trip across the bay ... wow.

Went here to get a car wash and oil changed. Oil change took over 4 hours and my black car had small scratches (normally from drying with a normal bath towel) all over the car after the car wash. Never getting my car washed here again.

Lazy people at this dealership.I emailed a complete build for a vehicle, all I wanted to do was pay and order. REAL SIMPLE! I was in contact with one sales rep that had no business even calling me, no knowledge, no enthusiasm, nothing! He was supposed to call me back, after a week goes by I call him, still no info on ordering. I spoke to two different managers and they didn’t call me back.So here we are two weeks later, $80k trying to spend and no one at this dealership wants my money.

Bad experience they neglect lost my car specially in service department. i brought my car to fix on a recall and manufacturer promise to take care of it. but why these manager is bad to convince factory not to fix it when i asked it they said is not in there and after week they just dump it in the driveway without calling to talk before they left and the car was towed and i cant afford to get it reason of my suffering now ticket ruin my credit i guess they responsible for these.

I am a loyal GMC customer, this is the second GMC I have purchased. Previously I had a GMC Yukon Denali and I wanted to trade that vehicle in and get a GMC Sierra. I asked what the difference in length was between the two vehicles, and was told they were very similar. I relied on the expertise of the sales specialist, which was a big mistake.When I got home, the vehicle was 20+ inches longer than the Yukon. The new GMC Sierra does not fit in my garage, and I am forced to find an alternate place to park it. The dealership would not help me resolve my problem. The only resolution that Putnam Burlingame was willing to do was buy the GMC Sierra back at a substantial loss.I realize there are laws regarding Cooling Off and there isnt a law to protect the consumer in this particular case. I do really like the GMC Sierra, that is not the problem. I would have also been willing to exchange the vehicle for a shorter one. This was not a possibility. I do not feel I am being unreasonable, I realize this is a mistake on both parties.Due to the way laws are written in California, the consumer must rely on the dealership to unwind a deal and remedy this type of problem. I selected a small, family owned, dealership instead of a large chain because of service. It appears it doesnt matter and now I am the proud owner of a GMC Sierra that will not fit in my garage, which I will have to sell as parking a 230 inch truck in San Francisco is impossible.

I visited Putnam Chevrolet and was referred by a friend to see Mario. When I arrived I was promptly greeted by a gentleman named Matt who kindly walked me to another building where Mario was located. When I started inquiring about the vehicle I was interested in Mario let me know that Pierre was more knowledgeable on the cars. So Pierre walked me out to the car I was interested in, answered all my questions (and I did my homework so I had a lot of questions lol), addresses all my concerns, and walked me through all the logistics of the car. We took a test drive and Pierre patiently and calmly held tight while I opened it up on the freeway lol. After we returned to the lot he showed me how EVERYTHING worked inside the car. Lots of bells n whistles to go through. We walked inside and he sat w me while I called my insurance and crunched all my numbers. He made sure that the things I wanted to see happen with the car (ie little imperfections and adding leather interior) were addressed and obtained then I returned to Mario to negotiate a deal. Between the two of them I got a great deal and I really felt they went out of their way to get me the best deal possible as opposed to the common misconception that car dealers are trying to get the best deal for themselves rather than the customer. It never felt like they were trying to make money off me at all. It was very refreshing to feel like they were more on my side than anything else. I don’t know if that makes sense, but I hope it does. Felt like they were making sure I wasn’t getting taken advantage of on any level, from the pice of the car to the financing, right down to the costs of my add ons. After all was settled the car was swooped off to get detailed again (as per my request) and they were more than happy to do it for me. They even shampooed the already super clean interior. I returned to the first building where Matt (the guy who walked me over to begin with) completed my paperwork. He thoroughly explained everything to me even down to the fine print. I can’t say enough about how great these three men were. This is my first car buying experience and it couldn’t have been better. I went in full guard up loaded with information ready for a battle lol but there was no battle on that lot. Just helpful, kind and genuine people. Nothing like what I was expecting. We all think car sales men are supposed to be shady money hungry sharks. Not at putnam chevolete. If your in the market for a car I highly recommend you go see Pierre, Mario and Matt. They are truly knowledgeable, experienced and professional. I know that when I buy my next car it will be from them. They definitely have a customer for life with me. I’ll be seeing them again next week to get my leather seats and was told I’ll be provided a car for the days of installation. I was also informed that they would be detailing my car AGAIN because they felt it was necessary lol that’s good service. Thank you Matt, Mario and Pierre for making this such a great experience for me. I got my dream car and apparently three new friends :)

Worst customer service ever. My wife had brought our Chevy Cruze in a month ago. The check engine light had came on and temp gauge and battery gauge needle kept maxing out and dropping continuously while in park and in drive. Service agent ran diagnosis and never updated us on the status until it was supposingly fixed.... He told us it was a hose that was causing the problem and that our warranty did not cover for hoses.We had to pay $80.00 for the hose. A week later check engine light comes on again and we take it back in. This time they keep our car in the shop for nearly 4 weeks with no updated status, not even a courtesy call. On the 3rd week we call the service department up and the same old Asian service agent says our car is ready for pick up. Wow really???Not to mention, this time around he tells us it was a sensor issue that was causing the problem and that it wasnt covered in our warranty. We had to pay another $278.00 for the sensor.Guess what!!! Today my wife almost got into an accident on S.101 after work because the check engine light came on AGAIN and car started to sputter like it was going to die out. Gauge needles for temp and battery still tweaking and car alarm starts going off out of nowhere. This service agent along with their mechanics are not specialists. My wife couldve been in a bad car accident or worse!This is by far the worse place Ive had to deal with for vehicle problems and the worse customer service Ive ever experienced.

The worst customer service - truck has been in for one month and they keep on saying waiting on a part from GM. BS - because this job is under warranty this is why we are waiting so long as not a money maker job for them. Shame on you Putnam I will be passing on to all my fiends and family to not do business with you. Worst customer service. I knew exactly what i wanted. Essentially went in told them what i wanted and all i need to do was pay. We ate there 5 hours 5 hours while they took vCard of other customers that entered after me. Of course in all for multi tasking. What ever happened to customer service. My new car was not cleaned no had put in it and no one went over the functions of the car... The seat belt was broken they told me it was fixed I drive away and it was not fixed. I called the dealer and they said OH Well its under warranty I dont see what the problem is???? Excuse me... really...... how About saying im so sorry come on back we will l help you. No no nothing but oh well. They said were really busy come another day😑. When you spend 1 dollar or 50,000.00 You should at least be amenable to the customer thats professional to you

On 9/10/2015 I had the worst customer service experience that a person can have. I own a Buick Enclave that is still under extended factory warranty and I took the car for service at Putman Buick GMC in Burlingame, CA due an engine failure and stalling after the car is refueled. At first, they were willing to receive my car but ignore my factory warranty and drive my car around the city until they were able to duplicate the car failure. My warranty is based on miles on the car and I do not agree that a dealer needs to add driving miles to my car in order to troubleshoot any issues with a car. After a huge disagreement, they finally decide to look at my car on Tuesday, 9/8 and without driving my car they were able to duplicate the failure and fix it. Then the real problems started, when I went to pick up my car at the dealer the evening of 9/9, the car was in worse conditions than when I dropped it off. They returned the car to me with an air conditioning problem and the battery completely ruined (dead). I called the dealer the following morning to get help on this issue and find out what happened to my car after being at the dealer for two days and Mr. Jorge Rodriguez, Director - Customer Service Satisfaction in very insulting manner refuse to service my car and help with the issues they made to my car. As soon as I finished my call with the dealer, I called GM executive customer service in Detroit to get help with the issue because I have a contract with GM that the dealer is refusing to honor, when they are the direct representation of General Motors and in effort to get me some help the GM Senior Advisor did a conference call with dealer. In the conference call the representative from the dealer which goes by the name of Pat agreed to take my car immediately and help me solve the issue. I rushed to the dealer and ask for Pat and no one knew anybody by that name. After talking to couple of representative in the dealer I found out that the only Pat at that dealer is Pat Putman and he is the General Manager. He stated that he didn’t know anything about my case or he didn’t talk to me or General Motor. I attempted to explain my situation to him and he stated that Jorge Rodriguez was in charge of scheduling and he can do whatever he wants. I replied by stating that I rather take my business somewhere else if I was going to be treated that way and not get an appointment and Mr. Pat Putman reply by (I’m quoting him) β€œThis America and I can take my car somewhere to get out of the dealer”. I was in shock by his reaction and after this treatment I’m unsure of what to do.In summary what upset me the most is that I took the car to the dealer for one problem and comes out with 2 problems. In addition to having a GM maintenance contract and they refuse to fix the car under the term and conditions stated in the contract.
