Your service technician Rodney was great. He explained all my options and also what he was doing to help correct my issue. Because of this service technician I will definitely use Orkin service in the future.

I found carpenter bees emerging from my hallway ceiling through a tiny hole.The Orkin representative, arrived on-time and was courteous. He treated the exterior of our home with a liquid spray and used a bellow hand pump to distribute powder up into the ceiling hole. Overall, the experience was easy and pleasant. The representative was knowledgable.

From the lady who answered when we called to Rodney who came out that same day there was just so much courtesy and respect for the customers. Rodney explained what was being done and why, answered questions and was nice to our dogs. Pretty much can’t do better than that.

After spending over $2000 in January for one full year of pest control, one would expect it would eliminate (or at the very least control) the problem. However, that was not the case. After coming out for a scheduled quarterly service, I reached out to let them know I still had an abundance of spiders in my home. I asked the customer service rep if another visit to address the continuing problem would be included in my contract. She assured me there would be no additional charge. To my surprise a few weeks later I received a bill for $189. As it turns out the extra visit was not included (even though their slogan states “we’re not satisfied until you are satisfied, if bugs creep up between services we will be on your doorstep FREE OF CHARGE”) I knew this additional charge must have been a mistake. Therefore, I made several phone calls to have this charge reversed. When I FINALLY spoke with someone, he gave me a pathetic song and dance about pest “control not elimination” and an even more pathetic sales pitch about additional services. At this time, I still have countless spiders throughout my home and now an additional bill. It is as if no one ever came to address the issue. So 2 sprays and $2200 later my advice is go to Target and get a can of Raid for $5. I would absolutely avoid using this company!!!!!!

I have used Orkin for nearly 20 years. They are very responsive if I need them. And the tech that comes to my house is awesome. Hes a really nice, diligent, and friendly guy.

He arrived professionally dressed, using PPE (including shoe coverings), was happy to meet my dogs and let them sniff him so they would calm down, pet my cat who wanted scritches, and then he went to work. My family didn’t feel judged for needing their services (honestly who wants to call an exterminator, but we live in the city and that alone brings them in, to say nothing of having just started some hone renovation work). Professional, safe, pet friendly (people and chemical placement). I could not be happier. Glad I signed up for their full year coverage. Worth every penny.

I would give Orkin 5 stars because of the service from the tech and Barbara in the Amherst NY office,BUT I would give the call center where I placed my appointment a 0 ( ZERO) yep!! That’s right!!! so my review has to be a 3. The call center scheduled a one time service for $300. They told me to make sure every electrical outlet was accessible to the tech who would be there for approx 1 1/2 -2 hrs treating every outlet on every floor of my home., “don’t worry about getting heavy furniture moved for access to outlets”she said. When the tech arrived , this is not the case nor is it ever he said. No outlets needed to access! He said my bill was $375 and he’ll be back next month for a rolling 6 month treatment plan. WHAT??!! Where’s that come from?? He said that’s what the call center scheduled me for. Needless to say, I called our local branch and spoke to Barbara who quickly apologized and corrected the errors created by the call center. Someone needs to seriously retrain the call center! If it wasn’t for Barbara and Dustin the tech, I would NEVER use nor recommend Orkin again!

Have used Orkin for maintenance of spiders and home like insects for 10 years…I can honestly say I live spider free ALWAYS…help is respectful and timely

I just want no bugs/ flys in my house. Never allow them to seal up your home for that high amount of money. I still getting rodents at 1st until my handyman came and fixed the problem. Just use you local handyman for that. I’m not sure of the guys name that comes to do the job but he is 100% better then the 1st guy. I give I’m 5 stars for his efforts!

I paid $350 to get rid of yellow jackets came the 1st time did something and still had yellow jackets a week later. Came out the second time did something else a week later still there.Went to ace hardware and got bee dustDid it my self and there were gone the next day.

Company used a bait and switch to tell me they were going to perform initial work and subsequent visits for a set price, then failed to disclose full pricing. They did a good job sealing access points for mice and baiting, but at $225/hour for their services, I will not be using them ever again. Very dissatisfied with this company’s disclosure practices.

We called Orkins regarding a yellow jacket bee problem we were having in our back yard. I like that they came out the same day for the treatment. They are quite pricey for one treatment but does come with a warrantee. The technician wasnt very informative and didnt seem to like his job.

I called the Amherst, NY office for an estimate to remove a hornets nest from my attic. Two gentlemen came this morning right when I was told they would and they proceeded to inspect the basement, as well as the attic, to make sure there werent additional issues.They found the dead (thankfully) nest and showed me pictures. Holy cow! That thing was huge!!The one inspector, Michael McCallum, told me they could take care of removing it right then. When I indicated I was on unemployment due to the pandemic, he told me not to worry, they would remove it for free. How amazing is that?!? What great service! I completely recommend this company!

Met with an Orkin inspector about 2-3 weeks ago to discuss mice problem. Jason K. came out and walked me through areas of my home that allowed mice to enter and also noticed some wasp nests in the attic and some areas that needed to be sealed off. Jason Kolpack explained to me that when the technician came out hed be doing both sealing and traps and he showed me the areas that would be sealed. I was clear in asking him you guys are going to seal the outside and youre also going to do all levels of the home correct? He replied yes and took down my card info. He told me to call the office to schedule service. I did just that and when I called the office it was like they had never spoken to Jason about anything we had discussed and they quoted me at 250$ initial charge whereas Jason said itd be 300$. They also didnt even know he had taken my card info. I found this HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and SCARY! Was wondering if Jason was even part of the company because they really had no idea what I was talking about. They Didnt know hed even come to inspect my home! Once again HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and DISORGANIZED. They get back in touch with me after finally speaking to Jason and try to clear up the issue. At this point Im reconsidering service with them and so I wait a week or two before I schedule the actual service. Fast forward to actual day of service and I get a call saying the technician will be here 2 hours later than expected. He also asks me what service Im getting aka what is todays visit for?Guys this was infuriating! I dont blame the technician, but please tell me how you dispatch someone to somebody house and NOT MENTION what theyre coming out there For!?! In what business is that a THING? Ambulance, police, etc are all dispatch with some basic information about the task! So technician comes and surp surprise he tells me that he is not able to seal anything on the outside and that Id have to cut down all my bushes and some other areas before they can even attempt to seal outside. Inspector NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. I proceed to point out the areas the inspector insured me would be sealed/addressed and technician said thats what he does, said he only putting down traps and seals very small holes, said everything else is a homeowner responsibility. Keep in mind THIS IS NOT AT ALL WHAT THE INSPECTOR SAID would happen. Once again, I do not blame the technician he was pleasant and patient, but I am furious about the bait and switch and series of miscommunication! I get the feeling that the inspector acted as a salesmen and just said anything to get my business. Orkin do better, this is unethical practice

My experience has been overwhelmingly negative and is now getting even more out of hand 6 months later. Back in August I called Orkin after I saw signs of mice. As woman, it can be hard to find companies that arent predatory when they see you alone. A family member of mine had used their services before so I thought that I was in good hands. Orkin has proved me wrong over and over again. When Austin, one of their now former technicians, came out to my house he offered me the extremely expensive Orkin Shield and presented it as if it was my only option. After MANY disappointments with this service I came to find out that this wasnt the only option. When I called the office and spoke with Paul, the manager, about the situation he explained that this service costs what it does because there is a 5 year plan involved. I told him that his technician misrepresented what was available to me and that while I am willing to pay for the services that have already been rendered, I am not interested in a 5 year commitment. He said he would speak with Rollins, their in-house financing company, to adjust my bill but has been dodging my calls for months now. Rollins calls me every day, sometimes evenings, sometimes up to 4 times in a row. Today was my last straw when they called my mother looking for me who is at home sick with Covid. They are attempting to charge me over $2000 to lay down cardboard traps that the mice ended up chewing up and leaving. Two of the mice I caught myself on glue traps that I purchased elsewhere because theirs were so ineffective and when they gave me snap traps instead that actually caught something they werent able to to retrieve it for days. Who wants a dead mouse in their house for days? Why promise to pick up any dead mice and then tell a customer not for about 4 days though. This entire situation has been a joke. I didnt even ask for a refund, which many people would for unsatisfactory services (and rightfully so), I simply asked to have an adjustment made to my bill so that I could pay for the work they already did and wash my hands of the situation. They agreed and did not do it. I do not recommend Orkin to anyone. Paul did not do what he said he would and my experience with them has felt very dishonest and predatory.

I’ve been using Orkin services since 2015 and it is money well spent! Awesome service and friendly technicians. My home is well maintained and I barely see any insects in my home!

As a pet owner I was hesitant to call about our pest problem (we suspected carpenter ants). The exterminator that came to my home was Randy. I must have asked him 30 questions. He was very knowledgeable and patient. Randy assured me that all of the products were non toxic. He went through the house with me and listened to all of my concerns and answered every question. Our suspicions about Carpenter ants was correct. After treating the area, Randy brought me to it to show me exactly what he had done and to tell me what I could expect in the coming weeks. Randy proceeded to treat the outside of our home and explained to me about our follow up service. I could not be happier that I went with Orkin! It took a few services to get the right technician to service my property. I will call and request today’s technician to be the only one to service my home. Excellent communication and application was done to my approval. Orkin appears committed to ensure their customers are satisfied with their product.

I placed a call at 10p and they answered right away. The woman was very helpful and said someone would be out the next day. First thing in the morning, Josh called and was at the house in a few minutes. He sprayed around the house, sprayed the trouble areas where the carpenter ants were and laid gel bait traps. He explained everything very thoroughly and was very knowledgeable. As soon as he was done, I could all ready see a big difference in the ant activity. I was very pleased with the response time and the professionalism.

Initial inspection and consult with Austin was very professional and thorough. I had to cancel on him twice before we finally got together and he was very understanding both times and when I was finally able to schedule he came out the same day.The gentleman who came to do the first treatment today was also on time and professional. I did not get his name.Of course it is too soon to report on the effectiveness of the service, but I am confident it will be as satisfying as my experience thus far.

My first phone contact was very informative and professional. I have had a carpenter bee problem on my patio roof for years and all my questions were answered. The area was treated and I am hopeful the problem will be resolved. Other services insisted they dont treat just bees and treat for bees along with numerous other pests. Their plan did not suit my needs and was more expensive. This was a very good experience and I highly recommend Orkin.
