Disappointed with the lady working the counter this morning. Was very rude towards customers and it was highly unprofessional.

If youre headed to the downtown Buffalo location on W. Genesee, be prepared to wait. Went in on a Monday at 2:40 pm and customers were lined up through the lobby back to the PO boxes. Only one Clerk working. Customer at the counter was shipping a package overseas, so the transaction was proceeding slowly (customer had a lot of questions). Supervisor was called to lobby to assist: Supervisor shows up (a couple of minutes after being paged) and asks whether anyone was either: (a) picking up mail; (b) mailing something that already had postage on it (i.e., just dropping off); or (c) had a question. No one responded (everyone else seemed to need to mail something or require some other form of service). Supervisor, however, does not take any customers; rather he returns to the back of the post office. Line still has not moved at all - customer shipping international package is still at service desk being assisted by the lone clerk. Several new customers have entered the building, looked at the line and left. Some of the customers in line give up and leave, so I get to move up a few paces...however, same customer (international shipper) is still at the counter. Given the fact that every customer in line in front of me has either a package or passport application or some other thing that looks like it might some time (I just wanted some stamps -- and there is no lobby vending machine), it appears that it may be while before I am served. After 15 minutes I ended up giving up and leaving (I had barely moved, but for the fact the people in front of me had given up and left!). To be clear, lone Clerk was doing the best she could, so it was NOT her fault at all.Post Office was woefully understaffed at the time I visited.Bottom line: location is convenient if you live or work downtown and simply need to drop off metered mail or pre-posted packages. If you need counter service, however, be prepared to wait...

I needed a package to be picked up and shipped but Staff claimed that I had a dog on property when I didnt! and wouldnt have someone pick it up, but online it says otherwise....below mediocre customer service smh

📪 Postoffice was empty, of customers. This saturday at elmwood/eagle sts. Cheerful lady clerk. I arrived around 9:35am. The clerks are always helpful.

Absolutely the worst mail carrier out there period, and Ive dealt with every other mail carrier for my packages. They literally Do. Not. Care. at all. Regardless of the current events, my packages are always late by a couple of days, even when paying expedited shipping. Sad part is, I know Im going to make everyone who sees this aware of how terrible a service this carrier has, but I know nothings going to be done about it, either because the people working there cant take a hint, or they legitimately just dont care. Shame.

Awful system if its a system at all! I took a lot of time putting in a new forwording address via your very ineffective system, and now I find my mail being RETURNED TO SENDER!!. That that happens seems impossible if I have a forwarding address on file. Is the mail carrier just dumping a letter by some random method. It is terrible that there is no way to address such problems by phone with an actual person. The auto system seems designed to not get you beyond step one. Has any human actually tried to get info that idiotic way? You need new consultants.

John is a plague on this Post Office. His lack of urgency is ridiculous to say the least. Hell see a line of people waiting on him and take his sweet time attending to customers, hell walk of to the back or step away from his register to do something else while people just stand and wait on him. There were 4 people ahead of me once and we were all in line for almost an hour. If youre in a hurry and see a line with him at the register dont waste your time.

My package was stolen because the carrier failed to put my package in my mailbox. The supervisor Sterling contacted me after I filed a claim. He told me he will contact the carrier and get in touch with me . I called 2 times after that and they told me he wasnt there he will call me back still still no response. I called today and Sterling says that the carrier didnt put my stuff in the mailbox and he left it on top. The supervisor knew this for days before telling me had me left wondering where my stuff is. I will never use them again.And if it isnt obvious already they arent going to help me I cant even get a refund

Usually this location has been very good to work with, regardless of past hiccups and major issues (ie- Christmas presents delivered constantly to a wrong address.) the customer service has always made up for it. Its the main reason I keep doing business at this location. However, recently I have encountered a terrible service rep whom when asked a simple question (in regards to a hold on my own mail, with supplemental information to prove it was mine and this rep knew exactly who I was.) Decided to speak to me not only EXTREMELY disrespectfully, but when called out on his behavior, decided to gaslight the situation. I am, quite frankly, appalled. If youve had a bad day, I get it. Ive worked in customer service too, However, to be so blatantly rude is unacceptable for your friendly neighborhood postal service. If you have done a service many times in the past, and now deny a customer that same service, that is a personal issue. If policy has changed there are ways of informing a client that do not include speaking to them in a belittling manner. I will take my business elsewhere, and highly recommend you do too.

I have called 2 different days during work hours and nobody seems to pick up the phone. I have 2 lost packages I am trying to recover and I had the main office forward an inquiry, still no response. Clearly they arent doing anything over there. Are they getting high wtf?

If I can give them 0 rating I would !! Noone picks up the calls. I shipped a box from fl to my buffalo even paid extra and yet they wont give my family the box they have to wait 2 more days to get it like wtff 🤬🤬🤬

Horrible horrible.. takes hours for customer service support. Even when talking to representatives theyre not much help and have the meanest attitude, its like they try to get rid of people quickly.. work effort. No words.. They always leave a notice saying they attempted to deliver knowing they didnt try. I waited all day and the mail lady gave me a notice knowing no package was delivered.... smh 🤦🏼‍♂️ 👎🏼📦

This place is horrific my package got shipped from ups to the postal office I waited all morning just to open my mailbox with a note stating they missed me but never came to my apartment I called the postal office the man was very rushy and rude I asked to get my package since the note said it was delivered back to the post office he asked me my zip code then said the lady wont be back in the office til 5 I called at 12pm I said dont you close at 5? How wont she be in!? He said well if you really need your package call back at a quarter to 5 😑I was so pissed theyre terribly unprofessional!!!

I have called for over an hour straight!!!!!! None of my calls have been answered!! Ive called approximately 30 times in the last hour. Each call ranged at least 2 mins and then it hangs up by its self. Then there were calls that had a busy tone. Either way no one has answered this phone. Thats VERY VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

Got berated by their counter staff for not having a slip when I went to pick up my package. The tracking info said it was being held at the post office so I went to get it... Then she said it was at a different office in 14215. I tried to tell her that I always pick up my packages at Niagara post office but she would not listen. I drove up to 14215 office just to be told to go back to Niagara office because thats where my package is. Some of these employees need to retire if theyre going to be this crabby.

I generally have good luck when I arrive in getting prompt service. My issue here is the parking lot is never monitored and people park in the lot to tend to business at city hall.
