Best repair place hands down! They changed our fuel pump in 1 day. Very good communication and an extremely good pricing. Everyone there was friendly and efficient. I am very pleased and have told my whole family not to go anywhere else but here. We have to take the truck back in next week to do more work and I know we will be just as pleased. Long story that I will keep short. I had a problem with AC blowing cold then warm. Took it to two shops and they couldn’t figure it out. So I thought I would try Family Auto. Turns out the first shop installed my cooling fan wiring backwards..hence the blowing cold then warm. Family Auto is now my go to shop. Ron is the contact and I give him 5 stars for multi years of experience with autos.

I came to Family Auto as a first time customer with a laundry list of things to fix on my SUV.They scheduled time to look over my vehicle and get me an estimate very quickly, and had all the work done and then some within 2 days.They did a great job communicating with me without the process, explaining any challenges or issues that arose, and made sure I approved everything before they moved forward.They took great care of me and got my car in better shape than it’s been in for some time. Were able to give me their hourly rate and prices upfront. No surprises or BS. Didnt play dishonest mechanic games with me. They gave me a day they could get to it, called me that day and said they were done. I decided to get more work done on the vehicle (rear main seal and oil pan) and that job only took them a couple days to get back to me, during a record breaking February winter storm as well. I do most of the work on my vehicle, but I do plan on using them for anything beyond my abilities and recommending them.

I have taken my cars to Family Auto Repairs for the past 17 Years. I have never been disappointed in the service I’ve received. Scott has always been dependable and fair. Finding an honest mechanic can be challenging but I recommend Family Auto Repair without hesitation.

(*UPDATE: Scott finally called to discuss this issue. I was certain he was reaching out to make sure I was taken care of as an important customer. WRONG! He simply wanted to be very clear that they did nothing wrong and all the blame for the miscommunication was obviously on me. That kind of arrogance just cost FAMILY Auto (extremely proud of their customer service, by the way) a customer with five vehicles to maintain!)I dropped off my car for an oil change at 1:00 PM. My check engine light was also on. I did not receive a call that day. I did not receive a call the next morning. I picked up the phone and called to get an update myself around 11:00 AM. Scott simply said my car was being driven around and he would call after lunch. They called at 2:40 PM saying it was ready. They charged me $100 to scan the car (a free service at every auto part store) and $70 for a new gas cap that was causing the light to come on (something I did not approve nor was I even aware of them going forward until picking up the car).Be aware a simple oil change can wind up costing $240 at this place with ZERO explanation or communication. I will only consider returning/recommending again if I am offered a full refund which is disappointing because I had been happy with previous visits.

Excellent honest service at a fair price! I’ve had two recent very positive experiences. First- I asked Scott for second opinion when Jim Norton Toyota wanted to charge over $3000 for timing cover leak on my Toyota. Guess what — no leak existed! Recently they fit my Subaru in quickly for an air conditioning repair. Do not hesitate to bring your car here.

I can’t thank Family Auto enough I was very lucky and extremely happy with the professional service I received from them. My Son came home from college and the engine in his car had to be replaced. We ordered the engine and Ihad someone work on it and this guy literally stripped my Car and never came back to put the engine and everything back in it. There were nuts, bolts, and parts all over my garage cables and wires were cut or ripped out even the tires were off the car. I was left with a big mess the car was literally stripped. I had no idea what I was going to do I had to get it fixed because my Son had to get back to College. No one wanted to touch the car because it was literally a shell with pieces everywhere. I called Scott at Family Auto and told him my situation and he came to my rescue. He had my car towed to his shop (Family Auto) and he literally had to rebuild everything under my hood. I am so blessed that Family Auto was willing to take on this job because it was like putting 5 puzzles back together all at once. They do repairs faster than any other shop I have ever used. Troubleshooting skill are on par as well. I have never had to return a vehicle to fix a problem that recurred after the initial repair. Customer service is great. Prices are high, as with any quality mechanic, but it is definitely worth the cost for piece of mind.

I generally do most of my own mechanic work but this is always a great place that I go when I need to do things like alignments or other large jobs that I dont have time. They always seem fair with price and honest about what work needs to be done. They also dont pressure you about work that may need done but that isnt quite needed yet.

Scott is a wonderful guy who is honest and sincere with his customers. He has been in the business for a long time and knows his trade inside out. Fixed my cars trunk latch for half the price the dealership offered and did it so quick right in front of me (could see it through the waiting room windows). Don is great and was straightforward with me.

These guys are absolutely awesome and friendly as can be. I took my truck in with multiple issues after it endured a break-in but the thieves were unable to steal the vehicle due to a security lock on the break. It wouldnt start and had plenty of damage. They explained everything they would have to do and all the parts they would have to acquire. This was on Thursday and I thought for sure I wouldnt get it back until at least Monday. Boy was I wrong, they had it done by Friday before closing. Impressive work! My truck looks like new again and Im back on the road and parking in the garage these days. Not only was it fast and friendly but I would say the price was very fair and if I used a dealership I probably would have paid almost double. All my future business is theirs!

I contacted Scott at Family Auto Repair in BA for a minor issue I was having with my truck. He was able to fit me in the same day and ended up fixing the issue without charge. While the issue may have been small, he could have easily invoiced me for the time and labor but told me it was on the house. I will be using Family Auto Repair in the future for any of my family’s vehicle needs and I recommend anyone looking for a honest opinion to do the same.

People and manger is nice. They explain everything. Well the reason for three stars. Is the end product. Got my car back, I had a temp sensor broken, vacuum sensor broken, distributor cap broken. Spent about $180 to fix everything they broke. So if you have a older car. I suggest you go some where else. Newer think they be fine.

I was referred to Family Auto by the wife of one of their employees. She worked for another auto service company which could not do the work I needed done. She assured me that they could complete the work the same day. Unfortunately, when I brought my car to Family Auto they said they couldnt complete it until the next day. Ultimately, it was not ready until late afternoon on the third day.However, except for the slower than expected turnaround, the experience was positive.

I have used Family Auto now over 25 years to take care of my vehicles. They are always honest and their work is top notch. Many times they have saved me money on repairs. I highly recommend them.

Best service I have ever gotten in the Tulsa area

Car was towed in, they diagnosed a broken timing belt. Quoted me $300 to put a new timing belt on and do a compression test. If that was good, it would be $900 to replace the timing belt and water pump.I heard nothing until I called them right before close, and they told me there were damaged heads (which is admittedly very likely with an interference engine). Two days later they quoted me $2500 + machining work to fix it. The car wasnt worth that driving, so I went to pick it up. When I got there, the engine was disassembled. They told me they took everything back off after they ran their compression test and werent going to charge me for the new timing belt, which was a big red flag. Why would they put more labor into a dead car, especially if I hadnt decided whether to repair it or not?When I got it home, the spark plugs hadnt even been removed. They didnt run that test. They just told me they did and charged me for it.In addition, I took my other Accent with similar mileage to the Hyundai dealer service department in town. They replaced timing belt, water pump, tensioner, pulley, and drive belt for $750. $150 less for more work and OEM parts than I was quoted here.I highly recommend you go elsewhere.Edit to respond to the owners response:He called me and said that they use aftermarket parts, and that those are sometimes more expensive than OEM parts. A whole aftermarket kit is under $100 online right now. I paid over 300 for parts at the Hyundai dealer.Regarding backing into a truck, the trailer we used did hit the ball hitch of the truck. There was no damage, no insurance info was exchanged. The employee owning the truck did come into the store and tell me to tell my friend to shut his mouth before it gets him in trouble or hurt. I didnt mention this in my initial review because people get angry and say things off the cuff, but if the owner wants to try to deny the validity of the rest of my review by bringing that up, Ill add my side.
