The service was professional and Chris was a true expert, and I didnt even need towing. My ONSITE repair was complicated and time-consuming but Chris was knowledgeable, friendly and the price was FAIR. It is hard to find a place you can trust to not take advantage of our on-the-road situation, but I believe I found a good one with these guys, and in Chicago of all places! First of all, I would like to deeply thank Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery for being an establishment that is truly dedicated to getting its customers BACK ON THE ROAD successfully. My awesome experience with Heavy Duty proved that they are more than a BUSINESS; they are a SERVICE! And now for the man that greatly impacted my evening and subsequently, my travel plans (allowing me to get back on the road much sooner!)….thanks to none other than THE MR. RICHARD.After calling Richard on a Sunday evening and explaining my dilemma with my A/C blower motor, his computer-of-a-brain immediately began diagnosing my issue over-the-phone. Within 15 minutes of learning from an obvious electrical/mechanical expert and professional, I gained a plethora of knowledge as Richard gave me a concise verbal tutorial on automotive/diesel electrical operations and workings. He explained things in a fashion that anyone could comprehend. I immediately drove back to my truck to apply what he taught me and amazingly my blower motor electrical issues were resolved. I didn’t have to replace my motor or anything. It blows and blows very cold without the wires heating up and shutting down the system as it did prior to the fix. I thought I was going to have to get in the long-line at a mechanic’s shop and delay my travel plans. I’m completely back on the road now, with a flawlessly working HVAC system. By the way, this is not a paid-for review; I’m a normal, everyday guy with a semi-truck that needed electrical repairs.

I tried to call to gain information about their services and the man who answered the phone was extremely rude and very unprofessional. If I had someone inquiring about my business, I know I wouldn’t ignore their questions and tell them to just look online. He was very degrading.

I normally don’t leave reviews but this experience was my first. Finally a honest tow guy and Mechanic. Eddie not only recovered my truck earlier but they also promptly diagnosed the issue and repaired the problem and got me back on the road. Been in this business a long time and most guys try to run the tab up on you but I was happy with my bill.

This is an excellent towing company they have very good prices. Paul was the tow truck driver and he came to pick me and my husband stranded on the expressway and arrived so fast..he was concerned about our saftey and he was very considerate and polite...i will call them anytime if I get stranded again. Outstanding service by Richard at Heavy Duty Towing. He showed up in very short interval of time and as promised. He towed my semi truck to a nearby shop recommended by him and i had my truck fixed in the same afternoon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!

Richard is the guy you wanna talk to. Easy to talk to . Used his services twice within a couple days, the first time he towed my Rig to a Shop nearby . And the second time I was broke down again, He actually helped me repair the truck, so that it wouldnt cost me as expensive as waiting for a shop to have time to lookk at it and have to spend another night or two in town. Highly recommended. Also a plus Richard is bilingual, speaks both Spanish and English.

Rude and Unprofessional. This man cursed me out and left my truck and I disabled for several hours in single-digit temperatures with a truck thats not running (12/17/16). I would have called another tow service but he made me photograph both the front and the back sides of the credit card that I would be using in order for him to commit to him coming out to tow my truck. This man had the gall to call me and say that before he can come get me, he had go and rescue another truck that was stuck in the middle of the street, then he would be on his way.. Once he was through with making other tows he claimed his truck was beginning to break down and freeze up and that Id better hope that he doesnt break down. This man is very mean and disrespectful of his clients and just an all out JERK when he knows that you are stuck with him. My suggestion is dont use this guys service. Find a more ethical towing service.Principles that when followed, promote values such as trust, good behavior, fairness, and/or kindness.There is not one consistent set of standards that all companies follow, but each company has the right to develop the standards that are meaningful for their organization. Ethical standards are not always easily enforceable, as they are frequently vaguely defined and somewhat open to interpretation (Men and women should be treated equally, or Treat the customer with respect and kindness.).This is not a posting from any competitor at all, but a very unhappy and offended former customer.(I HAVE THE TEXTS TO PROVE IT) Heavy-duty towing does not deserve the one star rating it was given.. my mistake. I will be contacting the BBC and the IRS to share my story of towing service that does not give out receipts for cash payments for services provided. No, SHAME ON YOU!

I broke down with my semi truck 3 days ago, and was towed by the guys at Heavy Duty Towing for a great price. It costed $350 to tow my semi to a mechanic shop in Chicago. This was good for me because the only other prices I was getting was $500 and above. Another key thing to recognize was the time it took them to get to where I was in less than an hour. I would highly recommend this company to all truck drivers and owner operators like myself. Thanks again guys!

As a AAA member we are entitled to 1-200 mile tow a year. We broke down 154 miles from home. AAA gave us the run around and was unable to secure towing services for us. After 8 hours sitting on the side of the hwy in a hot vehicle Rich from Heavy Duty came to our rescue!! He was quick, honest and professional. He offered to stop so we could get something to eat and offered us beverages as well. The conversation home was great. By the time we got home I felt like we have know Rich forever.

Loaded semi tractor broke down i55 north just outside scales, called Rich and he hauled butt out there through traffic and hooked me up fast and safely. Wow is all I can say, my truck broke down on the side of I-55 in a very dangerous spot Rich swooped in less than 15 mins offering not only a great deal had my spirits up in no time not only did he not break my wallet he had me laughing all the way back to the shop he towed my truck too. I called around all day, these guys were very competitive priced and were able to get it done immediately for me. Came to my location respectfully and intelligently picked up my equipment and transferred it without one issue, I wouldnt call anyone else ever again!!!
