I was able to get a last minute cargo van rental when so many other places were sold out. Very helpful and friendly staff especially over the phone. 24/7 return was so convenient as well. I would definitely rent from them again!

Made a reservation for 3 days, when picking up they asked if I would be returning it the same day, when I informed them the reservation was for 3 days, they got aggressive and told me they had accepted another reservation for the next day on the same unit. Mind you, there were 5 of these trailers in the parking lot. Late in day 1 of my reservation, I started receiving phone calls and voice mail (I was in the mountains with no reception and unable to make/receive either) at the end of my three days when I got into cell phone service, I had almost a dozen missed calls and multiple threatening messages. I pulled up to the facility to return the trailer and everyone acted as if I was a stranger, and all 4 of the other trailers will still sitting in their same locations. After dropping it off, I get a email bill with an additional $50 Fines and Citations charge... These people are dishonest, liars, and have zero business in customer service.

We came to pick up a truck. And the new hire was inept. Completely unable to help. He didnt wear a mask outside with multiple senior citizens around. And left it hanging half off at all other times. After informing the general manager. She did nothing. And let him continue.

You get what you pay for and U-Haul is the cheapest storage around. That also means being locked out of your unit without warning because the computer system screwed up. I have been locked out because they didn’t like the padlock I added (no one ever told me it wasn’t allowed), because the system failed to bill my account and reported me as unpaid, because the system was simply down, etc. My personal information doesn’t get updated system wide because the network is so poorly designed so this results in confusion on the part of employees, and problems with my bills. Additionally when security was enhanced after break ins, I only was notified by accident because I happened to see the manager on site when I visited that day and made small talk. Apparently I was supposed to have been notified of the new system weeks ago.I cannot wait to be able to move my stuff out.

We use this location frequently to purchase moving supplies for our company. It is easy to purchase online and pick up in store. When Ive needed to order directly with the store or stop by to just grab supplies, they are always professional and helpful. Remember when you reserve trucks online, its best to follow up with the store just to confirm theyve received the reservation and will be able to meet it. This extra step will save a lot of headache later.

The atenddent wasnt paying attention to the call light, after 10 minutes of stading out side, I went in to see the only staff distracted helping someone who showed up after me. Then was told that they are only accepting cards for the day because of their lack of staffing they cant take cash or make change.

If I could give zero stars I would. I called and ordered a trailer hitch when I was called and told it was in I showed up they didnt have it so I left I came back another day because they had it. Paid for it and then was told it was in Seattle. They refunded only a portion of what I paid and have not corrected their error its now been a week.

Ive been here a few times for propane and they are one of the slowest locations. It can take them awhile, even if you ring the bell, to come even tell you how long till they can help you. Also the idea behind the pay at the pump is convenience if I have to go inside to get someones attention and half the time go in to pay because the device isnt working.Update to one star. They were out of propane this morning.

Beware. We had confirmed, online reservations for an outdoor 10-foot by 10-foot storage unit for more than a month at U-Haul Storage of Bremerton and Gorst. Since we need it in less than a week, we tried to pay for it over the phone today (1 Nov 2020) and to get the codes we needed. We were told one of us needs to go to U-Haul Moving & Storage of Bremerton on Kitsap Way to do the paperwork and pay in person. After I arrived today, confirmed the reservation, confirmed the reservation number and filled out the paperwork, I was told they overbooked our storage unit, and we were given the option of two, inside storage units of the same size, but for almost $30 more a month. When I questioned it, I was told three other people had reservations on the same storage unit -- one of them came in before us.I pointed out that it wasnt right. We had no idea. I asked if we could get the indoor unit at the same price as the one we reserved, and I was told no, We cant do that. I asked to speak with the manager, but I was told, Ill get him, but hell tell you the same thing.And he did. The manager, on duty at the time, did say the same thing. I said it wasnt right, and he said We have two inside storage units -- do you want one or not? I said, I dont really have a choice as were screwed if we dont have one. I pulled out my credit card to pay and said, Thats quite the scam you guys have. I was agitated, but didnt even raise my voice. And again, I was willing to pay. The manager, named Anthony, kicked me out of the store, said nothing further and left the office.I asked the remaining desk staff for business cards of him and his manager, and he didnt have any. I went outside and saw Anthony and I asked him for business cards, and he said We dont have any. I asked for his name in writing, he just said, If you dont leave this property Ill call the cops.I filed formal complaints with the BBB NW office and the state attorney generals office. My girlfriend, who was on the phone with me when they kicked me out also filed a formal complaint with U-Haul. This is a scam ... and pathetic customer service.

We went in to secure our reservation today and ended up waiting in an employee-less office with 10 other people for 45 minutes. We were crammed in there (not 6 feet apart by any stretch) and waited for some uhaul employee to show up at the desk. We were third in line, the first twice customers came in and were told there were no trucks despite having reservations. When it came time for us to get our reserved truck, we were told our reservation was canceled while we were waiting in line, and that there was no truck available. Our reservation was for eight hours starting at 8am but I received a call after making that reservation online to come in at nine. We arrived at 9:22 and waited in line until 10:29. The manager(?) (a woman with tight curly hair who wore her mask under her nose) admitted to manually canceling our reservation at 10am during the long wait in line. She then called me a liar about being told to come in at nine, and refused to explain how there was no 10’ truck available. I insisted she explain how we were in store before our reservation was removed, and somehow there is no truck available. That would mean our truck was issued to someone else while our reservation was still active, and that they were at fault for not having a truck for us regardless of the wait time. She cut me and my husband off several times and rolled her eyes at us when being asked to explain. Her employee just quietly desperately searched for a truck or van in the area. We were offered a smaller van for less time than we needed with no offer to help or assist for their mistakes. So instead of getting our ten foot truck for eight hours we have a van 18 miles north of where we budgeted for three hours. She and her team were a terrible experience.

DO NOT USE THE BREMERTON, WA UHAUL LOCATION. There should be a zero star option. Thank goodness phone calls are recorded.. Their corporate office will be listening to the conversation and hopefully fire the customer service guy He should get a job where he doesnt have to work with people. Moving is such a stressful experience to begin with and having an employee cancel our truck because he didnt like my husband is just awful. We are a family of nine and this man made our move that much harder..shame on you. UHAUL is getting a bad reputation because of people like him.

I made a reservation for Saturday through our corporate office. When I arrived the kid behind the plexiglass told me they changed my pickup location to a different location an hour away. I drive for a Moving company and needed to get my customers furniture to them right away. As I was leaving I heard the so called employees laughing about it. Very unprofessional. Disaster- our family made a reservation for an enclosed trailer last Sunday. We arrived 30 minutes prior to opening- waited outside as we know that this location is crazy busy and understaffed and wanted to be first in line- two people cut in front- no big deal BUT NO TRAILER! Thats right, Uhaul will make the reservation, confirm it 4x by email and then customer shows up and NO TRAILER. HORRIBLE customer service rude employees. We have several rental needs in the future with various projects and I will NEVER use this location again. As a whole Uhaul sucks, calling their 800 number is a joke too- bad across the company. What a terrible business model- folks are stressed enough and have obligations depending on renting this equipment only to have our time disrespected. I hope the company goes down in flames- you need new CEO and leadership throughout !

0000000 stars scheduled our hitch install 9 days before arriving to the bremerton location after driving from dallas tx to be told they forgot to tell us they didnt have it ready but found one at another store they were going to get. When i called to check on the status the lady on the phone was very rude. Will never use or recommend uhaul to anyone as this is not the first time they have screwed me.

I arrive at the Bremerton U Haul. I get out of my van and grab my empty propane tank.I look for someone to help, and see 2 employees simply sitting on the curb.I asked, Are you open? Yes we are. As they just sat there visiting. I need propane? Yes, as they sit visiting. I walk into the building. No one is there. I step back out while the employees slowly rise from the curb and walk over to the propane pump. They look confusedly at my tank, I cant find the date? Oh Good God! Wow! LOL!Update, got my tanks fill again and new employees and much better service this time.Also I just installed a new hitch and wiring and asked if they could double check my harness for me. They did and now we ready to rent a trailer.Way, way better service.

I rented a truck on 2/24 and returned it less than 5 hours later when I finished moving. This store decided to not check the vehicle in till 2/27 and figured I’d foot the bill for the extra days. I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with customer service to get a refund for the extra charges. I do not recommend using this location.

We moved to Tacoma on Sunday. I reserved a U-Haul truck online for a 730am remote pickup at the Bremerton store on Kitsap Way. I called on Saturday late afternoon I spoke with a gentleman who said the truck was ready. I asked if it had the appliance dolly and he stated he had forgotten that but would go out and put it in the truck. When we got there at 730a and signed in online it stated there was a problem on there end. We called U-Haul and was told there was a problem with the remote pick up and that we would have to come back at 900a when the store opened. We had family come from an hour away to meet us at the house by 800a. We went back to the U-Haul store at 900a and were helped by a female with long dark hair. We were told that the reason we couldn’t pick up our truck before was because it had been returned late the night before. I asked why they wouldn’t have called and informed us and she didn’t know. She also couldn’t answer why I was told the day before everything was ready. When our paperwork was done she pointed out the window to the only truck parked in front and stated it was our truck and handed us the keys. I asked if the appliance dolly was there she said no and went outside to get it. We walked outside my husband climbed inside while she put the appliance dolly in the back and then she went back inside. The truck was already running when my husband climbed in. I asked him what the keys were for since there were already keys in the ignition. We flagged down another female worker with shoulder length brown hair. First she didn’t know. Then she said it was the wrong truck and that our truck was across the street in a gravel parking lot and we could wait while she went to get that truck. I refused stating I did not want to wait any longer. That we were already behind schedule and that we wanted this truck. She went inside and discussed this finally saying we could take this truck and that she would have a new contract with the updated truck # emailed to us shortly. I never received the email and had to call U-Haul 5 hrs later requesting one. I was worried because the contract we had did not have the correct truck # and I didn’t want any problems with drop off. When I called requesting the email I asked about U-Hauls guarantee. Which states if you do not get the truck by the guaranteed time you get a $50 refund. She stated I had to call back after the truck was returned. I called today requesting the refund and was told a manager would call me back. He did call but informed me I do not qualify for the refund because the truck was there ready at 730a. He doesn’t know why someone told us it wasn’t ready due to a late return. And he stated that you did not get the refund if there was a problem with the remote pick up. I did everything I was supposed to do. U-Haul does not care about poor customer service or any inconvenience this caused me. My daughter used Enterprise when she moved last year and you can be sure I will use another service next time. #uhaul.

The manager of the store, James, displays patience and a willingness to help & listen to customers I am impressed with the way he runs his store.3 star update: March 2017 If you want PROPANE tank(s) filled, call ahead. Only one employee is certified to handle propane. I found that out the inconvenient way. Store is not prepared to fulfill this service. Makes me have to adjust my initial 5 star rating.

Would give a zero but not available. My daughter rented a storage from this facility also rented a moving truck. After loading all her stuff aloneWas a tht the storage in gorst and their was a lock on the unit.. she had to make several calls finally an employee was sent to unlock the unit so by the time she was able to return the truck they were closed. She only had the truck for about 6 hours and 2 were her waiting for someone to unlock the unit. They charged her an extra 25 bucks!!So I went to ask and was told usually we tell people... and I am just a peon who cannot help. Ask for the managers info and was told nothing they can do. Utter BS!! Stay away!!!

If I could rate this place based on their ability to avoid my phone calls then it would be a 5/5!They sold me a storage unit that requires a keypad code or card swipe but the system doesnt work, so now Ive gone 8 days of renting the storage and havent even been able to get inside. I have less than 2 weeks to move out of my apartment due to a change in my career and decided to go with u haul storage because of the price and have been drastically let down. I cant get inside my storage unit because of the non working keypad security and then tried to call customer service but every time I was just transferred to different people who could not help at all with my situation or would hang up my phone call. I was even transferred to someone in Florida? Now Im not sure how theyre running things over there but Im pretty sure that someone all the way in Florida cant help me at all with my situation. Also customer service recommended that I go to the office at the Gorst storage location for assistance which is funny because there is definitely not an office here, so I see that they have no idea whats going on at this location. The best customer service could do for me was leave a message at the office in Bremerton telling them to call me back which by the way youre lucky if they do, I had to wait over an hour just to get a phone call back from the office, how hard is it just to transfer me to the actual office? They also gave me the number of the manager but of course out the 8 times I called each one went to his voicemail, good job bud. Thank you U-haul storage of Bremerton & Gorst for making me waste my Friday and Sunday sitting at the location trying to get inside my storage unit! I must be crazy for thinking that I can actually store my Items in my storage unit I should have known it wouldnt have been that simple! Im not even sure why Im writing this review Im not going to get anything out of it, I just hope if anything I can warn other people to not fall for this trap!

I rented a U-Haul. Returned it and was charged. Done deal. Then a week later charged $14 more. And what happens when I try to call to sort it out?? Put on hold for 19 mins. I am a receptionist so I understand things get busy. But after even 5 mins someone should have clicked over to let me know that they knew I was there. Not some stupid automated message that doesn’t shut up the entire time I am on hold. Crappiest customer service I have ever received in my life. Every time I use a U-Haul I am slammed with hidden fees that were not previously agreed upon or even discussed.

I arrived right about 6 cuz they were closing and all I needed was a little bit of twine to secure a load. And I can see the employee running on the opposite side of the trucks trying to avoid being seen by me and another customer that was waiting to return his trailer. I could see him looking over his shoulder to see if anybody had noticed him running down to jump on his bicycle to head home. With reviews like this U-Haul currently has you would think that they would emphasize going the extra mile for the customer. So whichever employee this was, go find another job not in customer service. Cuz youre dismal at it

Very unprofessional. Did not tell me an $80 charge would come from my account because I used a debit card. So when it happened, I had to spend time on the phone with their low class customer service, who offered no solution or answer to my problem. The attendants at this location are quite condescending as well. I understand they probably only have a high school education, but its truck rental, not rocket science. Get it together!

Tried to make a reservation online for a 6x12 trailer without a ramp. Apparently youre NOT allowed to tow anything with a Ford Explorer at all. So I had to rent a truck from them as well. An hour after I made the reservation they called me and said they dont have any at that location and I would have to use one with a ramp (conveniently more expensive). Then halfway through my trip the trucks check engine light came on. Luckily they didnt charge me or anything.

Con- Parking, Poor help center to branch communications.Staff was ok after having to go back and forth with them, location is bad. The parking and signage is not great. They have very little to no parking marked nor do they have sign to direct you where to park. The staff was helpful eventually and if you have to deal with the call center, forget it. They do not know anything abut the location, cant pass messages, and almost made me pay twice to have a hitch installed after I made the appointment for the wrong day. Overall, I was underwhelmed by the experience.

My car is a Ford Explorer 1999 XLT. Trailer plug brake lights were not working. Went in to have it fixed, by the uhaul service tech. He insisted that I have a new four way plug. Saying that the four way plug I had would not work. Mind you it used to work for years, but a wire came loose or something.So he proceeded to install the new plug. After about a 1/2 hour, the Hazards and the turn signals wouldnt work. He didnt know what to do. Said, Sorry man, Im sorry but I cant fix it. WHAT? I cant leave without the turn signals. They worked when I came in, so did the Hazard lights.My friend that was with me, suggested we check the fuses. yep, he had blown the Hazard fuse and the turn signal fuse. He replace the fuse and return to working on plug again. When he said he was done, the left signal worked ok, but when the right signal was on the right tail light AND the left brake light all flashed. Said that was the best he could do. And was planning on charging me full price of 150.00. He gave the plug to me and still charge me an hours worth of labor.When I came in, the tail lights, brake lights and turn signals all worked. When I left now they are all screwed up and Im out 100.00. He said to take it to another mechanic to have them fix it. My expense too. NOT, Im not done with this. UHaul is still a good service. But this tech needs to go back to school and get re-educated on wiring.

I rented a uhaul for what was meant to be 1 night and it turned in to two weeks because something happened to my new place and I couldnt put my belongings in the house yet so it stayed in the uhaul. Uhaul continuously took money from my account which added up to 900 and then they came to my house and began tossing all of my belongings out into my front yard, breaking so many irreplaceable things of mine, threw my bed on my trash can outside and propped some of it against my neighbors car and put my kids toys behind her vehicle for No one to see. I took pictures of them doing this and of my belongings strewn in my front yard. Now I can see if they werent helping themselves to my bank account and not getting any money but Ive paid these people 900 dollars!!! Where in the fine print does it say uhaul can repossess there truck and break all ur things and damage ur neighbors vehicle with ur property if not returned even though Ive paid them 900 dollars for 2 weeks and the truck barely moved 10 miles??? They knew where it was and came to check on it. When i called to ask them why they did this to my things, they said “this uhaul hadnt been checked in yet These people broke things that are irreplaceable and had no empathy while doing it. I run a business with 50+ employees, never in my life did I feel the way I felt coming home to that. My children watched as these people thru their things on the ground with no remorse what so ever. I will NEVER use another uhaul in my life, nor will my kids or my kids kids, my friends, my family, I will make sure no one I know uses a uhaul cuz Im gonna tell them what they did to me and my children. They knew where it was and took my money and broke my irriplaceable things and I called and they didnt even know what was going on!!!???? Thats all fine and well. Im looking into it and they will be hearing from me soon.

Do not trust that your stuff is safe or even think their new upgrading in surveillance means anything. They will even refuse to deactivate your cards for access in the building even after reporting that someone had a hold of all access to my storage. The store manager ONLY works here!! That is what the SM response to me was when I notified him that I had already reported that I needed my card access cut off. Mind you I have 3 units and have been there for 5 years. Now I find out that they were not only in my units but they were allowed to open another unit in my name without any ID folks. Then causes conflict and extreme tension by notifying them that I am going to call the cops, ECT. Those units are in my name and not anyone else and then had the nerve to say I was calling the cops. The reprocussion of his actions will be felt for my lifetime and Uhaul has done nothing. Knowing what you know now at least you can make a more educated decision on how much they will appreciate your business.

Worst customer service ever, they refused to help in anyway, my mom called in to make a payment and they said not over the phone. We called back and another representative said they do accept payments but refused to wait for a 3 way call to do payment. I asked to speak with their manager and they re directed me multiple times. The people were very rude, un willing to cooperate. They hung up and transferred me to several representatives. The place is scandalous if not the most scandalous uhaul place of all time. Its as if they dont want their jobs and they dont care about customers at all, nothing was done for me, i was transferred multiple times and then hung up on. They need to sift through all the bad apples of the place and get rid of 3/4 their staff. Sooo un professional, so untrained, very rude, they need to be reported to the better business bureau asap.

I would give this store 0 stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance to install a hitch. I arrive at the appointed time and was told the part is not there and it would take another week They also told me that they dont have a tracking system for parts. So I wasted two weeks and the rep at the store had no idea when it would be there for the job. Absolutely terrible.
