I was very disappointed with my initial service and complained. The issue has been resolved but:Please be cautious and ask questions even if they sound stupid. The people who work here do not always know what they are taking about and may charge fees that are wrong. Double check everything in writing and do not trust that what you say will be entered correctly.UPDATE: Things have been resolved and I appreciate the kindness of the staff. Thank you, Katelyn.

Danielle is beyond exceptional in her job - she is upfront, very patient, knows how to deal with any type of emotion (spot on), she thinks for you when you cannot. She even catches the tiniest details as you speak (Thank you for the Swedish Fish added touch Danielle!) We had a most successful service and were only able to do anything during this time because she held our hands all the way through the unexpected death of our loved one. I dont even remember saying Thank you to her after all..... So Thank You Danielle and all of Miller-Woodlawn.

I am humbled by the kindness and compassion of the Team at Miller Woodlawn. The attention to detail, the drive to make sure every moment of my husbands service was perfect, was beyond my expectations. They were always available when I needed them and were really helpful when I had questions. They were very gracious, kind and very professional with me and all my guests at the service. Not one detailed was missed. They worked so hard to find me the extra touches I wanted at the service and at times, I know there were challenges, but they were relentless to make sure I got what I wanted. From the time they arrived at our home, to my husbands final resting place, they were so amazing. Thank you for putting my mind to ease at a very difficult time.

After my mother passed away, it too Miller-Woodlawn over 7 hours to pick up her body. All the time when I called I was being told that they would be there in fifteen minutes. It took them three times to a correct death certificate made. The office staff was very polite and sympathic.

My counselor David, took the time to explain all the options that where at my disposal, and never tried to upsell me things I did not want nor would desire. David took into my account my feeling and thought and what My Wishes Where. I just want a simple farwell and a party to remember my life.

Horrible. Left our mother lying at the nursing home over 6 hours after being called and repeatedly lied to us about the status. They would not be honest and even gave us two different stories in 5 minutes from different people. They dont know answers when you call so they lie to get you off the phone. Sorry about that seems to be their buzz phrase. I wouldnt recommend them to bury my dog after this.

I am deeply disappointed in the service here. I called ahead of time and talk to someone and they gave me a lower quote than the actual amount. Upon arriving at the funeral home we were met with a gentleman who very rude. He went on to say that the price we were quoted would in no way cover their cost. When I originally called i was very specific about what I want and I feel they werent honest, in addition, they were extremely rude and not very kind. For a place that deals with grieving families some compassion would have been nice.

I was appointed executrix for my uncles estate. Since I live in Renton, getting to Bremerton in a timely manner wasnt always easy. On my visits, I was met with John Van de Water, who was incredibly gracious and helpful. In addition to being very informative and kind. Also, his associate Matthew Hogg was marvelous. They did not try to up-sell me anything, in fact, they suggested practical alternatives. In addition, since my uncle was a veteran, they wonderfully arranged a beautiful veterans memorial, and applied for all the benefits on his behalf. There was a US flag draped over his coffin and the flag was gently given to me after the inspiring flag folding ritual. The bugle playing taps live during the ceremony was a highlight. All arranged by John and Matt.Im so grateful for their caring manner and kindness throughout this difficult time. They even checked on me a week or two later, offering advice on coping, while dealing with the many obstacles we all face during this traumatic time. I would recommend Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park anytime to anyone needing this service.
