It was nice to have a good quality technician conduct heating maintenance before the season. He explained everything as it went along and analyzed the condition of the heating system and explained any recommendations that he noticed . Glad I made the call to peninsula heating and cooling. Replaced my A/C system with a new American Standard unit that runs quietly and is totally efficient. Peninsula installed a ductless system in my home. The Service Manager, Ben L. was not only professional but extremely knowledgeable of the system, he answered all my questions even the ones I had not thought of asking. The Installation team of Stephen and Steve were also professional and pleasant, they were efficient and courteous. I am very happy with my new system.

They serviced my AC system, found a leak and replaced the coolant. A repair of over $1000. When I needed the system to work, it didnt. Coolant had leaked off and my system froze. They dont have 24 hour emergency service. When I called first thing Monday morning, they stated that they couldnt see my till at least Wednesday. They dont stand behind their work or take responsibility to make things right.P.S. Called Advanced Heating and Cooling Monday morning, I am going to have my AC serviced the same Monday. Thats service.

We have asked their Technician to provide us with a diagnostic estimate of why our systems not working along with a cost estimate. Their Tech Ben, seemed very knowledgeable and helpful by explaining what he saw as the problem and how he could best repair it. He seemed honest and open to our needs. We have gotten a couple other estimates for comparison of work needed and costs. We do feel comfortable with Penninsula but are still making up our minds.They were very fast at scheduling our appointment and even faster providing a written estimate.

Our air conditioner was not cooling. Ben came and immediately noticed the filter had fallen out of place and so dust etc. was able to get on the coil. This is all Ben describing exactly what the problem was. He set about cleaning the whole area, putting in a new filter, then checking both the heating and cooling and also noticed refrigerant was low. He put in as much as he had and said he would come back in a few days to add the rest. He came the very next day and finished the job. Ben is a personable young man, knowledgeable about what he does, and efficient. I really enjoyed talking with him and I learned some things too. We will be using Peninsula again.

I was referred to this company and so glad that I was. I made an appointment for a diagnostic and they came on time Ben was my technician. I received text messages keeping me up on his arrival and time. When Ben showed he was a very welcoming person, he showed me what was wrong with the unit. He gave me two options to solve the problem. We talked about both of them and decided to go with a new unit. There was a week or so in wait time and I understand this due to the Holiday season. So I called Chris in the office to make an install date and she was a pleasure also to work with. Every time I called she was able to answer every questions.The day of install came and Ben showed on time, he also cleaned his area and the made sure to ask me if I had any questions. I really appreciated the fact that I was included in the process. When that was done he made sure to try the unit. He asked what degree he should set it to I said 72 and the house heated quickly.If I ever need any other heating or cooling service, I will be calling Peninsula Heating and Cooling. This is a great company.

Was told on the phone they scheduled to come fix our heater on April 14 between 12-4. On April 14 at 3:30 PM, we called to confirm they were still coming. They said they had it in their schedule for April 15. They said they didn’t know why we were told April 14 and said it was in their system as April 15. We rearranged our schedules so someone would be at the house on April 14. We had plans on April 15, but had to cancel them because they messed up. They didn’t offer to reschedule so we wasted two days on these people. Luckily, they fixed the heater, but the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service won’t be keeping our business.

After one Bremerton A/C company left me high and dry when they led me on that they would be by that day and late in the day said they couldnt help me for another two days, I frantically called multiple A/C companies. You see my homes furnace went out in frigid sub 30-degree evening temperatures, so my family woke up in a 52-degree house. Needless to say, Peninsula Heating and Cooling said they would be able to fit me in the next morning! I was delighted and relieved. The phone receptionist was helpful and the technician was pleasant, efficient and helpful. I would highly recommend them.

We had a 2-unit Mitsubishi mini-split installed. What a great experience ! The installers, headed by Stephen, plus Roque & Steve, were incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Our installation was kind of tricky as the upstairs unit had to be installed on an exposed beam in a cathedral ceiling. But it turned out perfect. The entire installation looks and works perfect. Use this company. You wont regret it.

It wasnt an emergency but it could have been. My furnace stopped working during this rainy period and temp never going above 45°f. We had to use scrap firewood and space heater to keep warm. My usual company couldnt come out for almost 2 weeks unless I wanted to pay over time any day or time. I was told to call back if I couldnt keep warm and was willing to pay the higher price. I called Peninsula instead. It was Fri. afternoon so she got me in on Mon. Dan was on time, courteous, professional and let me ask questions every step if the way. He had his mask and practiced safe distance without it being weird. Found the problem and fixed it promptly. He also told us some things to do so the problem wouldnt happen again.The price was very reasonable. I will call on Peninsula Heating & Cooling from now on. Thats a big deal since the other company had been with us for over 30 years. They were good just not as good and not nearly as affordable. Thanks Dan!

After getting 6 bids for replacing our gas furnace and thermostat I went with Peninsula. Scheduling was great as they were willing to work around our schedule. The guys that did the work were very respectful and did a great job.

Dan came by and within 10 minutes it was diagnosed and fixed and my house was getting warm again. Very good experience and I will definitely call them again if needed.

My furnace kept not working and then would work and then stop working again so I called three times to make and cancel appointments with Peninsula. Each time they were very understanding and cordial and when I finally kept my appointment they came out the next day, were very quick and professional, and now my furnace is working great.

This is the first negative review I think I’ve ever written, and I hate to do it, but I think it’s worth letting it be known, these guys aren’t worth working with.My furnace wasn’t working so I gave the folks at peninsula heating and cooling a call and had a technician come out for a diagnostic. Something was off about the way he described the problem, so we called someone else out for a second opinion, also not something I usually do. The second guy, without knowing about the original visit, pointed out a completely different issue that, after looking at it, was pretty plain to see. After I asked, he explained that the thing that the PH&C guy said was wrong wasn’t an issue. The original recommendation would have cost us a lot of money and wouldn’t have fixed the issue. The folks in the office still billed me for the visit and the second company didn’t charge a thing for the much more professional visit. I’ll be going to the second company for a furnace replacement. I would highly recommend NOT going with these guys as they were far from sympathetic or professional after I called to give them my feedback.

We found Peninsula Heating in the Puget Sound Consumer Checkbook. Ratings for heating and cooling varied widely, but they had a 100% rating for Superior Service. Ben Lundahl, the technician showed up the same day we called. I didnt expect that. It took some doing, but the final diagnosis was that the control board was bad. Being that the furnace was 25 years old, I was told a new board may now be available. Asked for a rough estimate on how much a new gas furnace would cost and was told 2-3 grand. Wow! Not wanting to go there, extensive research was done until the right board was found — in Canada. The board being an updated model, was not just a matter of just switching some wires. Some had to be merged with screw-caps, others had to be extended, and a couple were not even explicit in the directions. Like a surgeon, Ben made all the connections, double checked his work... and finally... the test. Worked perfectly! Good as new! A less than honest technician would have done a poor job with the upgrade, and then sold us a new furnace. Kudos to Ben Lundahl and Peninsula Heating! Thats how they got that 100% rating.

After three days waiting for my estimate (I had to be calling every day to get it), Kris sent me an estimate for completely replacing the equipment, I called to ask why if the technician said that this equipment is repairable, why I had received an estimate for replacing the whole equipment, she told me a weird story, way different that the technician said to me. Peninsula has really upped their game! I have a ductless heat pump in my home and an oil furnace in my shop. I’ve hesitated calling these last two years thinking the owner had retired and nothing was really wrong so I didn’t didn’t need to really find someone new until I went out in my shop and my oil furnace wasn’t working so I called and talked to the nicest gal and had someone here within an hour. I know that’s not the norm but they happened to have some cancellations and Patrick came out and he was great. Great communications, showed me the issues and was so pleasant! If anyone is needing a heating a cooling business, I would recommend these guys!

I contacted 5 or 6 companies that lease propane tanks. Peninsula heating and cooling was the only company that had a dolly to move the tank behind my house, which made it much less expensive to have installed due to shorter trenching/piping. They came at the appointment time and did a neat tidy install. I am not sure why the other companies dont buy a dolly to move bigger tanks like the 500 gallon one we had installed, as I doubt they cost much over $500.

The salesman Nathan called when he was on his way and actually showed up on time! Nathan is very knowledgeable and didnt try to sell us on a system we didnt need just the one that was best for us, he gave us several options and explained the benefits of each one and let us make an informed decision. The installation was top notch! The install crew Stephen and Jeremy were also on time and came prepared to get the job done. They used drop cloths and cleaned up as they went. Hopefully I will not need to install a new heat pump system again but if I do I know who I am going to call!

Horrible interactions with Nathan, makes company look awful. At first he seemed knowledgeable and helpful, but the estimate took over a week and I had to call for it. I then had questions, such as decibel levels and how did certain units compare, but in email exchanges, they were never answered- missed or ignored, I dont know. He also said that they were unable to offer the $1400 rebate from PUD at this time... but what he failed to say, and didnt say until I called him out on it, was (direct from another email) We are not set up to offer the rebate. We will need to send our technicians to a three-day class and dont havent had time in our schedule to do so. I feel misled by his initial response regarding the rebate, and its difficult to trust the company that wasnt straightforward with the rebate in the first place and doesnt answer all of my questions when asked. (I was actually referred by a couple people to Peninsula Heat and mistakenly contacted this company. I just realized my mistake as I looked up the number for the first company today and asked to speak with Nathans boss, and they said it was a different company... So instead of calling the boss and wasting more of my time, Im just getting a new estimate from the other company!)Upgraded from 1 to 2 stars for Nathan contacting me personally with apology and explanation.

Company charged me a diagnostic fee for a diagnostic i already made myself. In my first phone call to them I told them exactly what the problem is, what part I need, and my unit model. They still slapped a diagnostic fee on top of that because it was a company policy. It is not about the money at all, they could have hid it in the invoice and I would have paid it without a flinch. It is just sleazy to tack on fees where there is no need for them. Imagine if a you go to furniture store to buy a specific sofa they have and they charge you a interior designer fee on top of the sofas price and delivery. That is the kind of company this is.The work they did was good. No complaints on that.
