Ive been going to Shapes Brandon since 2009 though not as continuously as Id like because life happens. The fact is that I always come back here because its Home To My Well-being. I find it very welcoming; its not intimidating; always impecably clean; has a pool; offers a wide variety of classes; staff and trainers are great and the massage bed is fantastic!

Very friendly atmosphere. Small, cozy club. Nice place to work out in peace.

It was nice enough. The equipment needs to be updated. I was there with 1 week pass.

I absolutely love this gym/ club. I feel the sisterhood/teamwork- there are no negative vibes. The trainers are supportive and knowledgable. I feel most comfortable in the pool/aquatic classes. The workouts are amazing (thanks to the instructors.) Its weird sweating in the pool. 😁 the members are also supportive/friendly and all ages and cultures. And, there is also a water volleyball group that play in the pool a few days/week and once a month they celebrate birthdays by going to lunch. You can participate in all or 1 aspect of the club (aquatic classes, Aquatic volleyball, individual or small group elite training, group fitness classes or use the equipment on your own. There is something for everyone.Oh, and in this pandemic situation, they are extremely careful/safe, with social distancing, and cleaning/disinfecting and deep cleaning frequently.

This place is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh, this gym is so clean, so high tech with all their new equipment, they have a pool, a sauna, a whirlpool, aerobics, yoga, personal training, and a kids zone on top of all this. It is amazing!!! (A BIG thank you to the friendly staff for cleaning everything, it is absolutely immaculate.)

What a facility! They are women’s only, offer kids zone, group fitness, small group personal training, massage and more! Staff is friendly and Supportive! Owner Ann is very hands on, friendly, knowledgeable and involved daily in the club. Seems like they are getting ready for a “face lift” and remodeling! Very exciting! Check it out!

Excellent womens gym with great equipment and instructors

Staff and members are like family. The camaraderie keeps me coming back to be sure I get my workout.

I have been a member of Shapes for years. The Brandon location is always well maintained and clean. The instructors are well educated in the areas of physical fitness and provide proper technique. I recently resumed classes and they are great at showing you how to modify your movement to your present fitness level. I have been to 3 other gyms that are closer to my home but it’s worth the drive to attend Shapes. It is not just a gym but a friendly fitness community.

I’m going to give 5 stars because I love the trainers and the women there! I do think the actual gym is over priced and they do nickel and dime you for anything they can. With that being said, they do have a lot going on there always. (Just today I got an apple and 1/2 banana from up front) I do feel comfortable at the gym and there’s always a friendly face 😊😉 I read some other reviews and I do agree with what they said about the fees, I was told up front, but like up front as in you’re at the end of your contract signing and by the way there will be an administrative fee of $$ I believe in 60 days coming out of your account. I think it’d be easier to be upfront with a piece of paper that states all the fees that will come out, then let the person decide, not at the end of signing up. So I see where the deception can come from. I would do it anyways and did sign up. I recommend Shapes to everyone I know. The ladies I work out with are 30-70 years old and I really love them 😃 I also pay extra for the “elite” training, they are small group training classes that typically consist of Hitt type classes, barbells, cycling, core and trx. Super fun and good. Highly recommend!!!! ❤️❤️😍😍😊😊

Dominique offered for me to come back to this gym @29.99 a month... I agreed gave her my card info... looked at my email receipt and she charged me 75 dollars... said 25 was a smart start and that there was a processing fee of 17... I told her I did not ask for the smart start and wanted it refunded. she put me on hold and a sales manager came on the line. she said that I ether pay 25 for the smart start or it will be an enrollment fee. I told her I was mislead and that I do not want a membership at all. She told me that it would be refunded. I called this morning and spoke with sales manager Liz who told me no I would not get a refund that either I pay to be a member or they will put that balance towards something I owed them in the past. I told her that I would retain a lawyer if I was not refunded and she hung up on me... This place is absolutely horrible and I will post it everywhere I can.

Hi. I. Just joined the Brandon Shapes for the water exercises. I love the pool as I can easily walk into the warm water. The instructors are very energetic and keep everyone moving. I really like doing the routines. There are many machines, bikes and stretching equipment to use. Come and join us . Diana Houghton

If I could give negative stars I would. I signed up in September and on my first visit when I finished my workout and went to pick up my son the daycare lady never acknowledged me and I had to search for him. I tried to cancel but was told it would not happen again and give a discounted rate. I ended up hiring a personal trainer which was the only good thing there. The times I went back during the day I still had issues with the daytime daycare worker. My 2 yr old son has severe eczema on his body and when he would go to the bathroom there was no helping him get on the potty so he would just pee his pants and he would stay in the bathroom soaked in pee until i came to pick him up this lead to several infections which I had to get steroids and antibiotics for. I would clean him and the floor up and told them several times if he has to pee let me know and I will stop my workout and take him. I told this to the daycare worker and the manager but it never got fixed so I ended up forfeiting my last few paid for personal training sessions and sent a letter via mail to cancel which was their policy. Today I got charged for another month. When I called to fix it Lauren stated that they did receive my letter last month and the manager had spoken with me several times about the daycare and still did lot get a resolution because the only person who can refund is the owner and Im not even getting a call from her but the same manager who received my cancellation letter and did nothing about it .

Ive been a member of Shapes for years. I love this gym. The trainers are all friendly and always willing to answer any questions. No pressure to join extra classes, so you choose what fits you and your schedule. For all the negative reviews regarding a contract, thats on that person for not reading, understanding and asking questions. Go Shapes!!

Im in a contract dispute with them right now. You can read the contract, and even follow it, but they seem to think they can do whatever the hell they want with your money. You have to give 60 days notice to terminate the contract and now they are trying to make me pay 60 days BEYOND my normal billing date and not 60 days from the date they received my written notice of cancellation. AND now that I get looking at my contract because of this dispute, I realize they took two months dues out in my initial payment! I didnt notice that before they tried to scam me for the 60 day cancellation. My real beef is that I paid for training sessions (under a separate contract) and then was told that because I needed to cancel and didnt reschedule within 24 hours, I FORFEITED the session. I said that was unfair and asked them to show me where I agreed to that. They said in the contract. I said it was not in the contract and was then told it was their policy and that I was told that verbally when I first signed up. First, I was NOT told that verbally when I signed up and second, the contract states that the agreements in writing are all inclusive and that nothing said verbally is binding. WTF? My advice? AVOID SIGNING UP WITH THESE CHEATERS. Im taking my complaint to the Florida Attorney Generals Consumer Complaints Division and hope they can make these jerks see the light. If not, I work for an attorney. I know hell help me fight them. :) Kristine Harmon-McCreery

I have had a horrible experience with my membership. I was told by the sales associate that I had 7days to cancel. At that time I also signed a contract that I did not see. When I called to cancel, I was told their computers were down and I would get a call back. That never happened so I called back and spoke to their corporate office that did not help me in ANYWAY. They have been taking $31.03 out of my account since Oct. and this experience has been a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SIGN UP.

This place is awful!!!!!!! strait up scam artists and nothing but fake girls that sit behind a desk all day making sleezy sales calls with a sleazy sales pitch like used cars salesman. you go in one day to sign up for one rate and the next the special is over and it is another. just a scam

Shapes has gone bad- been a member since 83 was suppose to be a life time one time fee plus $20 year for life. They sell each and every facility separate and then tell you they do not have to honor a previous contract. Now my $20 is up to $58.00 + an annual increase. Plus, Last year they started a new process called administrative fee that you have to pay to a billing company an additional fee, if you refuse to pay that because its not in your contract they didnt tell you they no longer have to honor your contract. Very deceptive customer service practices go somewhere else while you can . Dont buy a long time plan - they will not honor it. They are short lived. All will be out of business soon.

If i could put zero stars i would but sadly i Dont have that option. The staff are really rude. Many women come to this gym because it is females only, as we were told. But here comes sunday i come to workout with my friend and i see a guy freely come in to join the gym. I cover my hair and body so i felt completely embarrassed and humiliated. I ran to the locker room to put my regular clothing on and went out to ask the staff why they didnt make an announcement and she told me I didnt know you guys were back there i mean were we the only ones that come to this gym just because its females only?? No i dont think so. This was so rude and they should have made an announcement. She sassily told me it was on the schedule and that i should have known. No i dont have to know since i dont have the schedule. So am i supposed to magically knows it??? This gym is wayyy too over priced for this bs.

This club has very decpetive enrollment practices. I was signed up for a multi club membership and was unable to use it. This club pulled a bait and switch. Also will not refund my money due to their error. The owner refused to recitify the error caused by the employee-extremely bad customer/client services. Choose a different gym-Shapes gets two thumbs down.

The service is extremely poor. the women who work there act as if they do not want to be there and are not friendly at all. other than that, it is a nice gym.
