Nixon and team did a great job installing my flooring and baseboard. They were professional and very responsive. I could not have had a better experience with the way Nixon ensured the job was done exactly how I requested.

Nixon took a deposit from me in January 2021. I was going to have some work done in my bathroom. but due to a family illness I was unable to start the project and asked Nixon if he could return my deposit. He stated that he gave it to a shower door person for a shower door that was to be part of the project. I said I understand and if that was the case they could deliver the door to me and i will hold in my garage until I can complete the project. To date i have not received the shower door or a refund of the deposit. ZERO work has been done and NOTHING has been delivered. Multiple conversations have occurred via text and most recently he told me a check was on its way to me. I HAVE RECEIVED NO CHECK .... I was so grateful and NOW I am so angry. this person has NO INTEGRITY ... I will be following up with every agency and small claims court that I can find. It is really sad that someone could do something like this ... his web site says 100% satisfaction guaranteed .. well my experience couldnt be any farther from that !!! shame on you Nixon...

This guy is the worst he call our company to fix an electrical issue in his home, his wife was home but he stated that he was on his way and our technician started the job, he never arrived and he asked our technician to leave his wife out of this situation and that he will be paying over the phone, Unfortunately our technician had to attend another job so he left the property thinking that he will actually pay.Till this day he never ever answered the phone again.

Very professional, great communication, and easy to work with. We had Nixon install wood plank tile in our kitchen, living room, and dining area. The guys did a great job. We are going to have them continue and do the bedrooms too. We are very pleased with everything.

I hired this Company back in August 2020. Gave a $4000 deposit check for an Exterior front door with sidelight. To date...9 months...the door has not been delivered. He took my money and did not deliver the door. My calls are rejected and texts remain unanswered.

Took much longer than expected, but Nixons team finally completed all of the work.

Nixon was so professional. He put up new gates in my front yard. He listened to what i needed and wrote the contract to reflect exactly what we discussed, and most importantly he delivered. He finished everything in a timely manner and it was exactly what i wanted. He was very aware during COVID that i wanted to protect my mom, and he made sure to have all the materials that were needed and did everything to ensure my family was safe.

We had a flood in our home and needed a hole in the wall fixed with drywall, painted and new padding for the rug. Nixon came to the house, on a Wednesday, and gave my husband a quote and said that he could have the work done by the weekend. Thursday the padding/rug were fixed and Saturday he sent his team to the house and they covered the rug with a tarp to protect it from the work that they were going to be doing. They fixed the hole in the wall, let it dry and then painted the entire wall, not just the spot that was fixed. Nixon was very professional, kept in touch with us each day throughout the process and ensured that we were satisfied with the work that was done. I had no issues with Nixon or his workers and I would call him again if needed.

I bought a villa… I love it… Except the kitchen was just so small… I hired Nixon to remodel it for me ..he and his team gutted and Remodeled it so beautifully ..it took him about 3 weeks … When it was finished… And the first time I was home alone after it was fully done… I literally cried .. He did such a great job, and his crew was so respectful… Which was important to me… I bought it in August he did the work in October I had Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family here… And it was a wonderful time… I’d recommend him to my family and friends

Nixon and his team were an absolute delight to work with. He is not only knowledgeable, but he also has a wonderful team that supports him. Rod was extremely communicative throughout the project, and my husband and I could not be happier with the final outcome. Nixon did not tack on one thing after another as many of our other contractors have done, and he guaranteed a date when work would be completed, and it was! We will definitely use him and his team again in the future.

Nixon and his team did a job for me converting a game room into a 3rd bedroom for my grandmother and I could not have had a better experience! Nixon is knowledgeable, reliable, punctual and tidy!! He’s definitely not your average general contractor and exceeded my expectations ten fold and got the job done earlier than quoted! I have since referred him to a few friends and family members for other home renovations and they too were extremely impressed with the services they received!! Nixon has changed his license and business location just to get past his old reviews. Not even the better business bureau can reach him. He did awful work for me that took 4 months and he never even finished the job. Two months after I last saw him, the roof he just repaired began to leak. When I finally reached him, he said the warranty was up. After 8 weeks?!? I have been calling him a few times a week ever since but he never answers my phone. Eventually, I used a friends phone so Nixon wouldnt recognize the number. When he answered, he swore up and down that he was going to take care of the leak but that was 6 weeks ago now. The roofer eventually came to my house (because I found his number) and informed me that he knew the roof would leak but that Nixon demanded he install the roof a certain way. Beware! He will tell you all you want to hear but does not follow through on any of it...and this is just a small part of all the problems!

I had an amazing experience with Nixon and his team. Ive worked with contractors before in the past that either didnt deliver, didnt show up, or provided sub-par work. That was not the case with Nixon and his crew. They were professional, diligent, and did an outstanding job with the remodeling of two of our bedrooms. Im so happy with the work that they did (and the very fair pricing) that I am scheduling for them to work on another room. Jorge, Jimmy, Rod, and Nixon, I cant thank you enough. It was an absolute pleasure.

Nixon and his team of highly skilled professionals did our remodel of our new home and we couldn’t be more happy with the results. They had to gut and renovate 2 bathrooms and a kitchen while we were living there. Nixon showed up every Monday and Friday to make sure we were happy. The crew was courteous respectful and always accommodated our wishes each and every day of the reno project. Start to finish was less than 8 weeks!! We were amazed. This actually would be 0 stars but I need to make a review. I contacted Nixon Home Improvement to tile my floors. Now Im sorry I didnt check all the reviews on google, yelp and also the BBB and the County Records website.What a horrendous experience. the owner Nixon Lajoie asked for a deposit of half the price of the job and then never showed up to do the work. I called this man hundreds of times and no answer. I have had to file a claim with the county as he ran off with my hard earned money and doesnt have the decency to even refund me or return my call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Hired Nixon to remove a concrete wall (demo job). His crew was on time and finished as promised for the price we agreed on in the beginning. They also did a great job cleaning up after they were finished. Would recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

I hired Nixon Home Improvement to give my kitchen an update and they did a fantastic job! Nixon always answers his phone and kept me updated on the project. He quoted me a price and when he was finished, the price remained the same even when I added to the job. His crew showed up punctually, worked all day for 2-3 days and got the job done as promised. His guys are professional, polite and cleaned up each day.I have lots of projects I want to do around my house and I will use them for everyone. I have also passed his information to a friend already who has a small project to do in her house.

Came for estimate . Agreed on labor cost and company would purchase tiles needed and add toInvoice . Agreed on time and date of work ! Workers who couldn’t communicate only in Spanish came three hours later without any materials.I give them a 1.0 rating . Not recommended for any repairs at all

Nixons care for the job he is doing shows! With every day that our new kitchen was being put in he would call in the evening to make sure it went well. This level of concern and time he takes to see how we are doing was fantastic. If something was of concern, hed address it immediately. Timing wise, he said it would take about two weeks to do the kitchen and he was right on the money.His team who put the kitchen together were fabulous! Clean and professional. Now we have a SPECTACULAR kitchen and tons of compliments thanks to Nixon and his top notch crew. #lovethektichen.

Stay away from Nixon home improvement. He does not get the jobs done as he promised, and he also hired unlicensed worker to do the work for him. On July the 20th, i was looking for a contractor to do some basic work in my kitchen. While i was Googling for a good trusted company, i came across Nixon home improvement, i spoke with him. He came by the house look at the project then gave an estimate and asked me when would i be able to start the project. He also showed me a few pictures of work he has done in the past, so i said ok, this guy sounds very trustworthy and know what his doing. We went on schedule the appointment for next day at 0800 Am, which was on a Friday. Give him a deposit that same day. The next day i kept calling him around 0900 because no one has showed up as i was promised, so he kept telling me my guy will be on his very soon, the traffic is very bad, then come 10 Am. Now he told me no my guy have to stop in boca to finished something he started on, so every hour it was something different. So the person finally show up at 2pm, by 5pm the guy said i have to go, but i will be back to finish the job in the morning. When morning come around an other Spanish dude show up, he does not speak English and didnt know what the hell he was doing. When the guy done with the back splash in my kitchen it look horrible, it look so bad, i took a couple off pictures sent it to Nixon and let him know the job looks bad, then Nixon told me or no problem, i will stop by on monday to fix everything dont worry. So my husband paid the guy the rest of the money. So it has been over a month now, never heard from Nixon. Everytime i called my called when straight to voicemail, i text no answers. So i end up filled a complaint with the better business bureau. Until this day no other company want to touch the work. One company told me i have to remove everything to start fresh.So my advice to any one out there is to stay as far as you can from him.

I think it’s fair to say that while we are generally happy with the finished product of our remodeled kitchen, we had issues along the way that need to be shared to make others cautious before choosing to use this service. 1. Measurements & planning were poor. Our over-the-range microwave does not sit squarely atop the oven like it should & the space carved out for our refrigerator was too small. Only one drawer was planned for the entire kitchen and it is too small to fit any standard utensil holder. We felt like the space could’ve been maximized better by use of different shaped or sized cabinets/drawers and that we even lost some space bc of the choices made for us. No diagram was provided so we honestly didn’t even know what we were getting. 2. Too much money was required up front. Nixon wanted more than half of the total project money before ordering the product or starting demolition. We noticed that all checks given were cashed at a check cashing store that texted us asking if it was ok to process said checks. This had us wondering why it wasn’t done through a traditional bank & that maybe it was a sly way of having to avoid reporting business income. 3. Poor installation of appliances. One of his workers mishandled & almost dropped our brand new microwave. Another worker installed the dishwasher incorrectly & insecurely. Side fillers were not cut to hide large spaces between counter & oven. My former carpenter father volunteered to install these items and he did just that. My father also fixed a dryer vent that a worker broke & repositioned a light switch both of which should’ve been done by his own men. 4. No compensation for our own labor and materials. My father ended up doing a lot of correctional labor that was not his responsibility and Nixon could have offered to lower the overall price bc of it but did not. We were also not compensated for wall paint or the sink faucet, both of which came out of our pocket but was agreed upon in original contract to be included in price of kitchen. 5. Difficulty in communicating to Spanish speaking workers. Without a translator immediately available to help dictate project details as they arose, it became frustrating to have things done the way we desired. It then became a nuisance to the company to have someone come back & fix things another day bc they weren’t done right the first time at no fault of our own. 6. Slow response by Nixon himself to get back on calls or texts. While he eventually got back to us on various concerns, it felt at times like he was hiding or delaying having to help. There was no real sense of urgency unless he needed another check. After reading others’ reviews I see I’m not the only one who had this problem. Maybe he just needs to hire more management/supervisory help bc one man can’t do it all in a timely manner & that’s understandable. 7. Room for improvement. I like to hold out hope for all people bc everyone has potential for growth and change. I believe Nixon can improve his business if he is wise enough to listen to those who care to correct. I’m sure he means well and cares to help people. Our kitchen looks so much better than the original one & there’s lots we do like about it even though we had lots of issues. The quartz countertops are fantastic and the white shaker cabinets & handles are beautiful. Love the farmhouse style stainless steel sink and paint on our walls. I try to count my blessings and see the good amidst the bad bc lots of good came out this project and I want to acknowledge that. But I also think it’s important to be honest. I’ve learned a lot through this experience and I hope Nixon has too. God bless his future endeavors!

I hired contractor Nixon, from Nixon Home Improvement on July 27, 2021. To install kitchen cabinets and repair kitchen wall. He required half, $2,750. I gave him the check and I have a receipt. Work was to begin on August 9th, 2021. That morning Nixon texted a friend of mine, that his worker was ill and would reschedule. A week later, no call no text. I started reading the reviews, and to my demise, my trust in Nixon to get the job done was gone. I sent a certified letter that he signed received on August 17, 2021 to formally request a refund. To this day, Nixon keeps avoiding calls, not answering texts, and then with another phone, he keep saying he will refund all my money when he gets it from his subcontractor... I have hired an attorney to come after Nixon to get my money back after almost 6 weeks waiting on money he took from me....READ THE REVIEWS 1ST..,There was no misunderstanding as his response says.. Who takes over 45 days to refund money, and then say that its refunded but dont say how... If youre wondering, its NIXON, Nixon Home Improvement.. He demands half up front, then lies about it..Do yourself a favor, dont use NIXON HOME IMPROVEMENT.Today being October 5, 2021 Nixon has not refunded my money. I am currently in the process of a small claims suit against him.... This is a disaster...
