Their prices are quite reasonable as well and they’re very good at explaining what’s wrong with your car and they’ll go over all options with you. I brought my 2013 Kia Soul there for a clicking sound in the steering column. Ultimately for me I know little about cars or car repairs. Really its a trust thing. Let me tell you why they now have my trust. They could easily have fixed the flex coupler and charged me money. Not this place. They KNEW this part was under an extended warranty from Kia and told me to take it there because it will be fixed for free. Indeed that is what happened. In one fell swoop they told me they KNEW their business and they were a shop I can trust in the future. I moved to FL in 2018 and Kia sent out an extended warranty on the flex coupler in 2016 to hot weather states which included FL but not NJ. I had no idea. Thank you so much and now in the future I know where to go.

Cant understand how owners hire employees and dont train them on how to deal with customers. I have been a U-hual customer for over 40 years and have never had issues with any of my past pick up locations. As you guys know Uhual can sometimes change your pick up locations. My pick up time was at 1pm but it was originally across the street from my home. I called Family Automotive Inc to let them know I was going to be late since it was 1hour North of my previous pick up location. At no time did the employee over the phone said that they closed at 2pm. I did the early check-in service and paid for my pick up prior to arriving. I made it the 3 minutes to 2pm and the door was locked. It was a surprise to me that the door read closing at 2pm since no one mentioned it when I called. As I went to walk and check another door the employees running this store walked out and said you are late we cant help you you need to call uhual. I replied that I had already paid, the guy did not care and continued to close the door. I explained my situation that this was a change in location and was never told when I called that the store closed at 2pm. The employee acknowledged that he never said that over the phone, then said then went on to acknowledge that even though I had made before 2pm their computers were closed and he had to leave. When I asked him about my online payment he said it wasnt his problem and left. I remained calm but in the meantime, this employee was red and very upset. I called uhual main 1800 number and the customer representative over the phone was extremely apologetic and said that should not had happened and noting their computer. I know nothing will be said or that these employees at Family Automotive Inc will never be reprimanded, but for you that is reading this review, I suggest you think twice before doing business with this company that does not care about you the customer or your family.

I have been using family auto for 20 yEARs after being recommended to them when i moved to boynton beach. i find them to be extremely honest and many times they have not charged me for a simple repair. i have recommended them to many friends and family and they are all happy with them. i know when they tell me something is wrong they are telling the truth because many times they have told me nothing was wrong and it was a simple fix. how many car repair shops would tell me that!!!

Family Automotive is the best auto shop choice in West Palm Beach. The owners and management are extremely honest and friendly. They have a high degree of integrity and will not over charge you or scam you. Very knowledgable and you will leave feeling like you were well taken care of. These people are just plain obnoxious. I went there to find out how much it would cost to replace a front wheel bearing on a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The mechanic there, John, said he couldnt get a price on the bearing because the parts place was out to lunch. He told me he would call me back when he was able to get a price on the bearing.By 4:00, he had not called me back, so I called the garage and asked if they had gotten a price on the bearing. They still didnt have a price for the bearing, and I was then told he wouldnt have a price until the next day, so I asked the person who answered the phone how much the labor was for replacing the bearing. After a few minutes, he came back on the phone and told me some ridiculous price, so I asked him if that was the price for labor and the bearing. He told me yes, so I asked him how much the bearing was since he had just told me he would not have a price for the bearing until the next day. He then became very rude and obnoxious, wouldnt give me the price of the bearing, and accused me of just pricing around. I thanked him and just hung the phone up.I guess they dont want you to know the prices of the work they do, and if you dont allow them to put the screws to you as much as they want, they try to rip you off with outrageous prices. Everybody shops around for the best price, and Im sure the owners of Family Automotive are included in that category, but they dont like you doing it when it comes to their business.No one, including the owners and employees of Family Automotive, goes to a restaurant that doesnt have prices on their menu, yet those at Family Automotive expect their customers to just give them their cars and let them repair them without the customer knowing what the charges are going to be before they do so. If they cant be honest and up front with their customers about what they charge for their services, then they dont deserve ANY customers. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to allow them to take you to the cleaners for as much as they want to.It didnt take me long to find an auto repair shop in the area to do the job for about $200.00 less than what the thieves at Family Automotive wanted to charge me.

They are great! I spent $1,200 at an auto shop to try to solve an erratic starting problem on my Hyundai Sonata, which reappeared one day after leaving the shop. I decided to take my car to highly regarded Family Automotive. They checked out the car for one day and told me that I needed to take the car to the Hyundai dealer. There was a history of systemic starting problems emanating from the transmission not always aligning properly when in Park. No charge! I highly recommend them!

Owner/Manager was very rude. I rented a uhaul. The first time I came in, he didnt acknowledge me. Someone came from the back to help me. When I came to return the uhaul, he spoke 5 words max and again someone from the back came to help me. He needs to do us all a favor and put someone else at the front desk. He gives his business a bad name. I also heard him on the phone and it was the same attitude.

I have been going here for years. I have always found John and Dave to be completely honest and forthcoming about what your particular vehicle needs, or more importantly in terms of saving money, about what your vehicle does NOT need. I have found that OEM service repair shops, e.g., Honda, Hyundai, etc., as well as tire centers (e.g, Tire Kingdom) are notorious at recommending ways to spend your money. John & Dave always focus on what is absolutely necessary. One indication of how very fair their prices are is the considerable number of senior clientele in the waiting room, people who are generally more concerned with keeping expenses down than others.
