This place is amazing. Dave and his team spent time figuring out and analyzing the issues with my classic car and then fixed the problems. It has never run better! Now I use Tilden for all of my car care...just bought and had new tires installed there yesterday! Highly recommend!!

Be absolutely sure to get an estimate and research the cost of parts. Tilden charged me more than twice the amount of dealership prices on the parts they installed. To me, a good/ honest mechanic will only charge you the cost of the part as they make plenty money off of the labor they charge. Again, be sure to get an estimate and to research the parts cost!!!

Update : Dave the owner called and made it right. I truly like this place and have recommended them in the past. So Im glad he did the right thing. ..........Ill be back for future service work.....Not really a review, more of a warning and hopefully Dave (I believe he is the owner) will read this and hopefully correct in the future.As a person that has owned and run new vehicle dealerships for many years I normally don’t go to third party shops. But as I am not working right now and I just had Tilden so some service on my Jeep and when I picked it up I asked the fellow that was assisting me if they could service my Porsche Cayman so I wouldn’t have to go up to Palm Beach to the dealer.He said sure we are fully capable of handling it. While an oil change is certainly no big deal if you are not set up to properly quote the price, and actually finish the service you should let customer know.I dropped my car off with a factory oil filters supplied this morning, I signed a repair order with a price at about. $120 - 140 I believe (didn’t keep it) got a call about an hour later telling me the oil is “special” and it’s $19 a quart and not the the $8 or $9 quoted to me (The car takes 8 quarts) he also said the car was already in the shop and he didn’t want “surprised” when I picked it up. As the car was already being worked on there was nothing I could do.I took a quick look on google and saw that retail on the oil was $10 per quart and I could just go over to the local auto parts store at $8 per quart (retail). When I picked up the car I said to Alan that a. You probably should have told me that before you started to work on the car and that charging me basically double retail seemed a little greedy. His answer was; we’re entitled to a profit and well it’s still less than if you went to Porsche ! Then I saw the the change oil message was still illuminated. I asked to have it reset, his reply was we can’t do that, we DON’T HAVE THE CORRECT ELECTRONIC tool for that. So, now I paid over $200 to change the oil and have to take it somewhere else and pay them (Porsche quoted me around $100) to have the “change oil warning” reset.GUYS, first, quote the right money, if it’s different than what was originally quoted give your customer a chance to say no thanks... (don’t call when the car is already in the shop)SECOND, don’t tell a customer you can preform a service if you can’t complete it, leaving the change oil warning on which comes on very time you start the car is unacceptable as having to pay another shop to basically finish the service is just not right. It’s both time consuming and basically a pain in the butt.

I completely forgot to make a review. Earlier this year, when my wife and I were moving down to Florida, her truck lost power steering. This place was quick, straightforward, and did an amazing job. I cant really express appropriately the level of appreciation I have for this business.

I just want to say that the man who wrote a revenge review is extremely immature. Tilden has been my repair shop for 15 years. I have recommended Tildens to all my friends family and coworkers. I’m am appalled that anyone out of personal spite would post a review for the shop about Mark. All the boys at Tilden are amazing. This is slanderous. Tsk tsk!

Be very careful of this outfit, wanted to charge me $80.00 for two air filters as well $38.00 for the advertised $20.00 oil change. They told me after I left my oil filter was not included in the price. People have to make a living but they are not recommendable. To follow up on the owners response, I did forget to mention that the installation of the air filters which I purchased for $5.91 each on line take three minutes(for both) to install was included in the price. And the special oil filter he said I needed for my jeep could have been expressed when I signed the order form. When I confronted the owner he did offer to give me my money back to avoid this post, but I just had him remove the air filters which took two minutes and paid him for the oil and filter change $38.00. In closing the owner was not dishonest he just met someone who was not going to get taken advantage of today.

There were so slow with giving me an oil change! I dropped my car off at 11am and i took a lyft to the beach and came back 4hrs later to see my car had not moved. The guy at the front desk still tried to make me pay. I would have been more than happy to wait it they were just that busy that day but then i saw the guy who came in after me paying for his car and driving away. I wont go into the fact that he was a white man and i am not but i was mad. Then when i finally got my car back the tire pressure light was on and it wont turn off and one of the caps fro the valve were missi g. I dont know if they did something because i voiced my displeasure but its not a coincidence. It was also wayyyyy too exspensive! Never going there again and i suggest you dont either.

For my first experience at Tilden... It was great!! Fast, attentive, and very professional staff! From the moment I walked in I was being help, walked out quick tire changed and mounted in less than 15 minutes great service!!

Not impressed. Brought my car in tech left carpet dirty, door handle dirty(believe it or not Mr Owner customers DO notice these things hint hint...) and owner never called with repair quote for further repair needed. Never itemized my bill for the repair I came in with just wanted me to fork over the cc. Was not the friendliest either. Perhaps its his NE persona but it was flat and snobbish. I wont be back again!
